Test procedure PXI-6030E

Hi,
I'm trying to get a PXI-6030E board working, but it seems to read only noise.
It does not work with my own software. It does not work with the example software of NI: Cont Acq & Chart (easy immed).vi and Cont Acq to File (binary).vi.
The configuration in the Automation Explorer seems ok, test panel works.
Now I want to make sure the board isn't damaged. Is there some sort of test procedure to make sure the board is working properly?
I performed the tests with an external waveform generator. Using my PXI-6115 board I did not experience any problems.

You've tested it with the test panel in MAX so you've already run the test procedure. If you don't get any errors there and the signals look good, then I would assume that the board is good and that something is wrong with the way you've configured it in LabVIEW. Compare the configuration to the one in MAX and see if it's the same. Wiring for single ended measurements but configuring for differential or vice versa can cause the problem you describe.

It depends on what you meant by "testing". I guess you need to check that routines (functions, procedures, packages etc) in valid state and execute without errors. The simpliest way is to get some development tool like TOAD (http://www.quest.com), Oracle Maestro (http://www.sqlmaestro.com) or PL/SQL Developer (http://www.allroundautomations.com). You can connect with them to database and look at the routine state VALID or INVALID. You can recompile them, run and even debug. I guess this should be enough.
Alternatively you can do same thing from sqlplus. Of course with lesser comfort. You need to write certain SQL statements. For example i want to find invalid procedures:

To check how procedures work you need to execute anonymous PL/SQL block like this:

PXI 6030e Voltage measurement

Hello All,
I have a PXI 6030E DAQ with a SCB-68 connector board. I am setting up a simple voltage divider and connecting my Vout to pin 68 on the SCB-68. My ground is going to pin 67. My Vin is 5 V DC. I used DAQ assistant to automatically generate code to read the voltage and put it in a while loop. My R1 is a device (Copper Interdigitated Electrodes coated with Dow Corning Silicone), and my R2 is 100 Mohm resistor. I am using an OP Amp as an isolator between the impedance on my DAQ and my voltage divider. Unfortunately, when I run this program it will not reach a steady value or progrssively drop the voltage. Is there something I am missing here as to why it will not allow me to get the reading I want?

Thank you! I actually found it last night 5 minutes after I wrote the message. I constructed the Wheatstone bridge and used a differential reading from the 2 nodes connecting each leg. Unfortunately I received a reading that is about 10 % higher than what I calculated. When I do a reading with respect to ground (RSE) and probe both sides of the bridge separately (with a single channel, not simultaneaously) I simply subtract the reading I receive from each side and obtain the correct value. Ideally when using the differential method in DAQ Assistant it is suppose to give me the right reading, but why is this giving me a different value when DAQ assistant is configured to take a differential reading. My program is exactly like the example provided by NI. Except I am adding the values from each signal and outputing them to a numeric indicator vi. All suggestions are welcomed!

SCC-68 does not show up as an accessory for PXI 6030E

I have a PXI-6030E installed in a PXI-1033. Everything works except I cannot install a SCC-68 as an accessory in MAX. SCC-68 does not show up in the list of accessories

!! Test procedure needed to determine if MLB replacement is warranted.

I was hoping someone could point me to a post around here that lays out a nice test procedure I can follow to determine if I really do need a new logic board.
I've got CoreDuoTemp, and it usually sits around 45 - 50 C. I'm on a replacement battery, and it's charging to 3 - 3.5 hours, depending on what I'm doing.
I definately have the whine on battery power (none on A/C). It goes away if the camera is turned on, comes right back if I shut the camera off. Luckily, I only hear the whine if I'm in a quiet room. Unfortunately that's the worse time to hear it, because I'm usually trying to concentrate!
Other than that, I'm very happy with the MBP, and am a little hesitant to take it down to the Apple store (I'm worried I could end up getting back a MBP with more problems than this one).

Supposedly some serial numbers are already flagged to receive a new logic board, so go in, have them scan the S/N and see if you're eligible.
Unfortunately, if not, it'll be a hard bargain to just "get" someone to replace your Logic Board for no good reason. The part's about $1,000. You can bring up your points, but I'm not sure that any of them will convince a genius that you need a new logic board.
Though, if you complain about the heat, one of their first steps is typically to replace the fans, and the logic board. You never know.
So go in and see if you're eligible... or even save yourself a trip and call the store itself to see if they can do a lookup.

Hi, Iam working on compiling some key items and write a small document on J2EE's best practices on Testing Procedures. This document may contain anywhere from basic to few complex testing procedures.
Iam not that familiar at the moment (i have very little experience doing J2EE testing) and iam trying to learn (through this document) about J2EE testing procedures and guidelines.
So, can somebody please give me some references or some ideas ?

Start with unit testing classes as you write them. Test Driven Development, when done properly, will be a big help. Look at TestNG and JUnit.
Mock objects can help here. If you've already tested your persistence layer, there's no need to worry about it for your service layer tests. Look at EasyMock.
Next is integration or business acceptance testing - combinations of classes and packages, front to back, entire use cases. You need to include the UI here. I'm looking at ThoughtWorks' Selenium and its IDE. It even pumps out Java code for you now. Very nice.
Stress testing is next. You'll need something that can simulate many users hitting the app at once. JMeter might help.
You have to worry about setting up test data in databases. It's got to stable while you're testing. It won't do to have tests break simply because data was changed. DbUnit might help.
Most of all, don't do all your testing at the end in one "big bang".

Error -1074396074 During SSIM Test on PXIe-1491

I have been running a validation test of our new video test hardware. I'm trying to run a continous SSIM test with my PXIe-1491 but I keep seeing an error after a few cycles that says something about IMAQ Fast SSIM. The NI website site seems to say this is an NI VISION error, which makes sense, and it also says, "Incompatible image size." Although it is weird that this worked for about 13 cycles then gave up at the end. Below is the front panel and my block diagram of the VI that I'm running. I would appreciate any help on this.

Hey Daniel, I just stumbled across this post. I'm sure you've figured it out now, but for anyone searching in the future, this error comes up when the resolution of our incoming stream is different than our reference stream. The solution is to make the 2 match by changing the resolution of one of those streams.

How to test NI PXIe-1085 Soft front panel?

I am unable to test NI RFSG and NI RFSA Soft front panels of NI PXIe-1085.

Selft test failure PXI-6562

I tried to run a self test from MAX to see if the PXI-6562 is functioning properly. I received the following error
Error-239022 occurred at Self Test
Possible Reason(s):
Internal Hardware Error occurred in MIG hardware.
What does that mean? How can I get my hardware to self test and communicate with the rest of the system?

Nokia sell products which not testing procedure ?

Actually, I am very angry to nokia which sell products too bad. A month ago, I bought a Nokia E52 mobile at 10pm (Viet Nam). Because at that time in Vietnam is late and i bring the phone after i buy and and using it in the next morning but when I call my friends I hear them talk but they do not hear me speak. Oh my God! I know a story or not, I change mobile number and call again. The result is bad for nokia product. Ver bad or fake product? I check the serial number and that is really nokia product. I bring my mobile to the sale and ask them give new mobile because I spend 24 hours enough integrity which only three hours. But the sale don't want to change new mobile. Oh my God, this is damn policy's Nokia for customers. Is this a true?. Despair too much, after a quarrel feedback they agreed to change new mobile, I thought no more errors. But the new mobile is failed again, the mobile don't vibration for a week after i using. My patience with the nokia product is over, i'm very hate. Sometimes i have been called and the system is restart. Feedback after a consultation I take it to the center nokiacare warranty in Vietnam. The engineer staff of nokiacare said me that my mobile have heavy error and give it to central care services change the new motherboard. Oh no, nokia phone have quality is too bad. Must change the motherboard when using not full once month. I swear i will never use any nokia product. Nokia only produce products that are not the test stage. I can not understand ISO organization which certification for nokia.
