Testing whether or not SOAP Adapter is getting out

Does anyone know of a good way to test whether or not the SOAP adapter is actually getting out to the internet.  The webservice URL we are hitting gives no indication - and the monitoring is sparse ( unless I'm missing something ) - the adapter is active and working and I get checkered flag success on my message.  Maybe someone knows of a sample web service I can post to that sends back a response or a log I can look at.
Thanks!
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
try looking at:
http://xiserver:port/MessagingSystem/monitor/monitor.jsp
->  Received messages -> auditlog
you should be able to see if you message was transferred from your adapter
maybe this will give you some more information

  • SOAP Adapter: Connection time out error

    Hi Guys,
                I do it one scenario for Proxy to webservice Asynchronous . I have send the input details through Proxy. In Sxmb_Moni shows success message. But Receiver side doesn't reach the payload. Because receiver side (Soap Adapter) shows connection time out error. But i have given correct URL and SOAP Action in receiver communication channel. Please give some suggestions to solve that issues. Please don't refer links.
    Thanks & Regards
    Vijay

    hi
    this is a time out error
    increase the timeout value by specifying the parameter
    XI.Timeout in the module parameter of soap Adapter
    OR
    1. This is because of TimeOut. The default timeout value for synchronous calls is 5
    minutes. You can increase this value by setting parameter XI.Timeout in the module parameter table of
    the SOAP adapter. The value must be given in milliseconds. For example, value 600000
    represents the timeout value of 10 minutes. This parameter is not recognized in systems prior to SP13.
    2.The Other Options is send the queue id with your request message.
    http://host:port/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=p:s:c
    &version=3.0&...&QueueId=xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    where xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx is an ABAP queue ID.
    3.Check your RWB message monitoring.
    Is there any system failure message and holding message be there.
    If then clear the messages.
    4. Increase the time out parameter for HTTP in your altova xml spy.Defaultly it will be very low.

  • SOAP Adapter - Guaranteed delivery

    Hi ppl,
    I have a requirment where we are exploring the possibility of the source system being able to expose its data in http format so that we can get use XI SOAP adapter to get the same over https. As SOAP adapter would access the data through WAN, what would happen to the data if the WAN is broken? How does the guaranteed delivery work in case of SOAP adapter?

    >
    Ethan Hunt wrote:
    > thanks for your reply. For inbound messages, how will the data be recieved by SOAP adapter in case of broken WAN. If the source system is exposing the data once in every minute and the WAN is broken for 10 min, when it comes up again, will SOAP adapter recieve all the messages sent by the source system during the connectivity failure? I am not sure how the expose of data in http format works.
    From your comments, it seems that the source system acts as a client, and PI (SOAP Adapter) will receive the data from the client.
    You can configure the "Quality of Service" of the sender soap adapter with 3 possible options:
    - Exactly once (async)
    - Exactly once in order (async)
    - Best effort (synchronous)
    In the first two cases, your client will get an HTTP 200 response (with an empy SOAP message), while in the last case it will get as a response the message you have configured in PI. Take into account that in the first two cases, even if there is an internal error in PI (mapping error for example) your SOAP adapter will still have delivered an HTTP 200 response, as the SOAP adapter did its mission (received the message and delivered it to the Integration Server).
    If the client can't reach PI, it won't get an HTTP 200, it will get an HTTP 500 or other error code, so it's your client responsability to retry sending the message until it gets the proper response.

    I have a MacBook Pro running Yosemite.I did not shut down the computer last night.  When I opened the computer this morning Dashboard in overlay was on the screen.  I have not been able to get out of dashboard.  I have tried esc, F12, and accessing System Preferences in the Dock.  I clicked on Mission control and nothing changed.  Help be get back to my desktop.

         Did you try restarting the computer?
        Delete com.apple.dashboard.plist file.
        Quit all applications.
        Option click the "Go" menu in the Finder menu bar.
        Select "Library" from the drop down.

  • WRT400N configured but clients can't get out?

    I'm a longtime Linksys user who just replaced an old WRT54G with a WRT400N (alongside a D-Link 628).  I ran through all the usual steps by connecting to the 400N with my main computer, updating its firmware to the latest, keeping most everything default to start, turned off wireless for now, and set a new password.  Didn't go nuts setting up esoteric policies, static IPs, etc.  Just set it to handle DHCP and hooked it up.
    My ISP does not require any PPOE or other and you simply plug into their modem and it gives the router what it needs (works flawlessly with all past Linksys and the new D-Link when I use that).  In fact, all clients on my network (three desktops, two laptops) all get the necessary IP info from the 400N including their own IP, DNS info, etc (all checked with ipconfig /all) and they all have the correct info.
    Unfortunately, the clients can't get out.  They try but the router will not pass through anything to the Internet.  No ping, tracert, ftp, browsers fail, etc.  Have reset to factory defaults and tried three or four times now and nothing.  Swapped back in the WRT54G and D-Link (both set to factory defaults, wireless off, and simply hooked into the modem) and both allow immediate access to the Internet for all clients.
    All three routers pass the same information to the clients (checked with ipconfig /all) so all three modems are configured and set up the same and, according to me,  correctly.  Only the 400N won't connect to anything.
    Since both the WRT54G and the D-Link immediately allow client access to the Internet but the 400N won't, there must be an odd setting I am missing but I can't see it at all.  I have gone through the setup 4 times, following the instructions to the letter (it's not that difficult as Linksys routers configuration pages are so simple to use) but each time results in clients receiving their information correctly yet not being able to get out.
    Can anyone point me to the right settings to check?  I've looked through the FAQs and tried a bunch of suggestions but so far nothing.
    Thanks for the help,
    Robert

    Oh yeah, been there and done that.  I have gone so far as to completely shut down the router, plug in each of my other routers (D-Link DIR-628 and Linksys WRT54G) and powered them all up from scratch (cycled power to the cable modem too and started everything up in sequence)  and confirmed they get all the same information from the modem including DNS, gateway, etc. and that the same information is passed to the clients.  In each case I wrote down the numbers to compare and they were all the same including what was reported on the WRT400N!
    So, after several days of experimentation, power cycling, hooking up, etc. the WRT400N magically let me access the internet.  I guarantee you I did not change any settings from default on any of the routers (other than turning the radios off) and just merely plugged them in and started everything up!
    This is very unusual.  It took about 20 restarts and tests before I could access the internet.  During that time I was able to connect to any of my internal clients (media player, spare computer, NAS, etc.) as they properly got IPs but no one could get out until a night ago when it suddenly worked.
    I can't explain it.  This is frustrating since there's no obvious change (all default settings, mind you).  Of course, NOW that it gets out, I went through and set up all my usual changes such as MAC address filtering, access policy for the daughter's computer, and fixed IPs for the non-changing peripherals and it all seems to work correctly (save for one other problem I'll post later.)
     So this is "solved" but for no apparent reason.
    Thanks for the suggestion,
    Robert

  • Every time I use Firefox it defaults to a full screen view that I cannot get out of without aborting the application because I cannot use any other controls

    This never happened until a few days ago and I didn't knowingly do anything to bring it about. I also just now uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but that didn't help anything. My internet explorer and all other applications work fine. It is only Firefox that now automatically goes to a full screen view when I launch it and I do not know how to get out of it except by aborting by using ctr+alt+del

    ..............thank you so very much for the super great tip.........who knows why this just started happening to me but as long as your fix works then I guess it sure doesn't matter

    Can you pls. confirm whether the mapping of your XSD fields & BAPI fields are in same sequence. I mean hierarchy is same or not.
    Just to verify, as you said you are using Sync scenario that means you are using ONE Sender Soap & ONE Reciever RFC adapter.

    I want XI to post just the payload and nothing else so....
    I selected Do not use envelope in the adapter configuration because we have every thing( SOAP envelop, header and body in the payload) but it is not working as i am still getting the same error message before implementing this xslt.

    Do you have any idea like XI will add anything to this pay load when it sends out to the webservice?
    If i take the payload from the XI and try it in SOAPUI(tool to test webservice, you would know it already ) it works fine, I mean I was able to get the proper response but in XI it does not work.
    Any help in this regards is highly appreciated.
    we are using PI 7.0 and SP 9.

    I was actually trying to post the information from the http client at the sender and receiver side I am getting the error.
    Later i have actually created the webservice for my sender interface in XI then post the info using the SOAPUI(3rd party tool) to post the info to XI and then Xi will communicate the webservice using SOAP adapter then I got the proper response from the webservice.
    In this whole episode I guess there is some thing wrong in using a htp client but technically we should be able to use http client as XI will take the payload and use xslt mapping to come up with target interface soap message( but i do not know why XI failed in that).
    thanks for all your help and hope this is clear.
    thanks,
    Venkat

  • TO Get  Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data from sender soap adapt

    To XI Specialists
    Now Im trying to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data from sender soap adapteter.
    My plan is that send data from Receiver adapter, to Sender adapter by SOAP.
    (1st interface is ABAP to Soap "BE", 2nd interface is Soap to File "EO")
    Sender SOAP adapter will returun Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data.
    (see SAP HELP, http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/69/a6fb3fea9df028e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm )
    AND I want to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data, I want to determine what to do in ABAP proxy.
    SO I made and tested 2interface. but error occuered.
    I checked the error, and Now I know what is the cause.
    The cause is that Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data didnt enter the payload, at Receiver Adapter.
    1st interface coulnt get the payload data, so mapping error occuered....
    Please give me help,
    <b>"How to get Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data From Sender SOAP ADAPTER"</b>
    or
    <b>"How to enter Ensuring Exactly Once Processing data into Payload of Receiver SOAP ADAPTER"</b>
    and more excelent way....
    our XI is version7.0 and SP10
    Please teach me your wisdom!
    Naoki Kurihara

    I seeked and I noticed that
    maybe I catched the message but the message dont have payload.
    so I got no_payload error.
    I checked SAP note.
    I noticed, no_payload error will be managed to nomal message at SP13....
    my XI is SP12....
    I ll seek for another way!!
    Thank you! noaki

  • SOAP Adapter not working. But no error messages. Just a warning!!!!

    Hello Guys
    I have created a simple scenario.
    I am getting an Input from outside world using SOAP Adapter.
    Then using a ZBAPI (RFC adapter) I am inserting a data to a ZTABLE.
    To test the SOAP Adapter, I have entered the PAY LOAD (in XML format) from Runtime WorkBenches
    Test Message TAB.
    I have used exactly once, Best Effort etc., and have tried Sending the message.
    It says Message sent but the database is not getting updated with the new value.
    I have already tried it with FileAdapter as the input method and ZBAPI that I have created is working fine.
    When I tried looking at the RuntimeWorkBenche's communication channel's area, it says my SOAP Adapter is inactive. I have double checked and it is ACTIVE and also activated properly
    Any ideas?
    Your suggestions/input will be highly appreciated.
    THanks
    Ram

    >>One of the postings said that this is the easiest way to see >>if the adapters are working ok
    This holds true for testing receiver adapter not for sender adapter.main work of sender adapter is to pick up the message in any format and convert it to XML and post to Integration engine,since in RWB->Integration engine you are already posting XML message you have basically done the job of sender adapter by yourself hence no need of sender adapter there.
    >>my question is how do i test my SOAP Adapter >>configuration to make sure it works.
    you need to use Altova XML spy(its free download) or some other SOAP test client to test sender SOAP adapter
    Thanx

  • Soap Adapter Channel not found

    I'm having problems geting the Sender SOAP adapter to work.
    I'm using to test it
    http://<XXXXXXXX>:50000/XISOAPAdapter/HelperServlet?action=FindChannel&channel=:SunriseSoftwareSostenuto:TimeSentSoap
    where <XXXXXXXX> is our domain
    but this returns channel not found
    SunriseSoftwareSostenuto is the Service
    TimeSentSoap is the communication channel
    I've already established that the Soap Adapter is active
    Is there something that I've missed ?

    hi
    I've tried to connect to the Soap adapter using
      http://xxxxxx:50000/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:SunriseSoftwareSostenuto:TimeSentSoap
    Where SunriseSoftwareSostenuto is the business service and
                TimeSentSoap is the communication channel
    but get the error code returned below
    I've tested the sender agreement/ communication channels config internally and they seem fine
    could someone point me in the right direction
    is it a java error
    or is it a authorisation problem?

  • Soap Adapter meta data is not available in XI3.0

    Hi,
    We are not getting SOAP Adapter meta data in Integration Builder. Inspite of that we have imported package as the XI content for Software version SAP Basis 6.4 (XI3_0_SAP_BASIS_6.40_00_00.tpz).
    When we configuring one of our business scenario using SOAP Adapter. Integration Builder (Configuration), In Communication channel, Adapter type SOAP is not appearing.
    Any idea on this?
    System:
    XI 3.0, SP 10, OS: WINDOWS 2000
    Regards,
    Rohit Goyal

    Pl check in the back end table at R3 side whether there is any records there or not and check with the functional team that they have entered data.
    If data is there then initialize the set up tables and then check in RSA3
    Thanks

  • SOAP Adapter in XI 3.0 (Central Engine, not J2SE Adapter)

    Hello,
    I am trying to get the demo (flight availablity check) work via SOAP, so that it can be called from .NET.   I created a communication channel with sender SOAP adapter (and adapter engine as Integration server, http://sap.com/xi/XI/Demo/Agency as interface namespace and FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery_Out as interface name)
    When I post it to XI
    http://xxxxxx:8000/sap/xi/engine?type=entry&version=3.0&Sender.Service=XX1_205&Interface=com.sap^FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery_Out&QualityOfService=BestEffort&ProcessingMode=p&MessageClass=RQ
    with soapaction http://sap.com/xi/WebService/soap1.1
    and
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema">
    <soap:Body>
    <FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery xmlns="http://sap.com/sapexamples">
    <FlightID xmlns="">
      <AirlineID>LH</AirlineID>
      <FlightDate>2004-12-01</FlightDate>
      </FlightID>
      </FlightSeatAvailabilityQuery>
      </soap:Body>
      </soap:Envelope>
    I get just
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
    <SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
    Any idea why this does not work.  The plain HTTP adapter (to /sap/xi/adapter_plain) works ok.
    Thanks
    siva
