Text in table being truncated in between.

Hi All,
I have a form with a nested table of 3 tables, form being triggered by a driver program.
The data for these tables is a longtext which mean the text is splitted into multiple lines and comes as a table type.
All the 3 nested tables are for the longtext fields.
Table Properties:
Flowed in Subform
Allowed page break at all levels.
Field allowed for multiple lines
Strange thing is that, when I publish the form data is comming to the fields perfectly, both in source, interface & form. But the data on the form is missing bits and pieces.
Example:
Source data: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, how I wonder What you are. Up above the world, so high. Like a diamond in the Sky.
Interface Data:
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, how
I wonder What you are. Up above
the world, so high. Like a diamond
in the Sky.
On the form in the table coulmn.
Twinkle Twinkle Little  What you
are. Up above the world, so high. Like
in the Sky.
I tried to identify if there is any escape sequence causing this, but couldn't find any.
Can somebody suggest me what might be wrong.
Thanks & Regards,
Sai

Dear Sai,
I think you need to maintain the following setting for the 'Text field' which is being used for printing the Long text:
1. Object Tab --> tab 'Cell' : Check the box 'Allow multiple Lines'
2. Goto Layout tab and check 'Expand to fit' (Height)
Hope this resolves the issue.
Cheers!!!
Amit

  • Bookmark text in PDF being truncated at 40 characters

I created styles (H1-H5) in my Word document.  When I convert the Word document to PDF and generate a Bookmark structure, the Bookmark text in the PDF truncates my long headings at 40 characters.  Any advise on how to stop the truncation of the text?
I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro.
Message was edited by: mda102685 - The error/issue is not with Acrobat.  I found that if I saved the Word file as a PDF with the 'options' checked 'Create bookmarks using headings', all heading text is displayed in the bookmark without truncation.

The error/issue is not with Acrobat.  As you save the Word file as a PDF open the 'options' box and check the box 'Create bookmarks using headings'; all heading text should be displayed in the bookmark without truncation.

  • Pages 5.1 truncates text in tables

Just discovered that Pages 5.1 truncates text in tables when exported to Pdf's even when created in Numbers and pasted. Superscripts were missing. Sometimes regular text after superscrips were missing. Too bad.

It's a bug. Until fixed, you'll have to avoid baseline shift or use an earlier version of Pages. Submit Feedback from the Pages menu to let Apple know you are finding this bug.

  • IOS7 - Select list text being truncated

    Hi,
Can anyone tell me why long options in a select list (drop down) are being truncated?  Is there a way to force such options to be all visible without truncating the text?
I have a responsive site, however on iPhones this text is being truncated while on Android and Windows Phone this works fine...
    Thanks

I also faced the similar issue. But putting the empty <optgroup> after the last <option will do the trick . Thanks to the question on stackoverflow http://stackoverflow.com/questions/19398154/how-to-fix-truncated-text-on-select- element-on-ios7

  • Container Element Text Being Truncated in Email

    Hello,
If a user rejects a Purchase Requision, I have added a Hard Check (BADI)  that requires the user to enter a "Reason for Rejection."
In my BOR (ZBUS2105) GET_DATA method, I retrieve the "Reason for Rejection" text and add it to the Container.
In my "Send Rejection Email" step, I set the "Reason for Rejection" text in the email body.
When the email is sent, only 76 chars of the "Reason for Rejection" text is transferred from the Container to the email, however, in SWIA (Workflow logs), I can clearly see that my Container element contains about 210 chars of text.
Also, the "Reason for Rejection" Container element is defined as CHAR255 (max value size allowed by the Container).
Does anyone know why the "Reason for Rejeciton" text would be getting truncated in the email?
    Thanks!

  • NQSError:22024-A comparison is being carried out between noncompatible type

    Hi ppl,
I am learning OBIEE using the tutorials and I am stuck at this step in
Direct Database request wherein I am trying to create a foreign key -- TIMES.TIME_ID = AGG_ST_CAT_DAY_SALES_F.TIME_ID
This is the error that I get:
**nQSError:22024 - A comparison is being carried out between non-compatible type**
I have tried debugging using google and searched here in the forums as well, but no one seems to have come across this error before.
I am stuck at this point while trying to create physical joins for aggregate tables.
    OBIEE version is 10.1.3.3.3
    and DB is Oracle 11g.
    ANyhelp is appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Abhilash

    Hey,
    Thanks for a quick reply.
I checked the datatypes for both the columns and they are as follows:
    AGG_ST_CAL_DAY_SALES_F.TIME_ID is of Date datatype
TIMES.TIME_ID is also of Date datatype, TIME_ID is a primary key for this table.
I ran the query directly on the DB and it runs fine without errors, Is there any way to check the query that is being sent to the DB via OBIEE
    THanks,
    Abhilash

  • Long "Memo" in Treo650 being truncated in Outlook "Note"

While synchronizing with Outlook, the memos that are a bit long (big number of characters) are being truncated in the Notes of outlook. Same is happening to the Address, while i have one address with a long text in the "Note" section. This note section is truncated in the corresponding Outlook contact. Finally, the birthday of addresses is not showing in Outlook contacts. I am using Palm Desktop 6.2.2; Hotsync Manager 7.0.2; Conduit Sync with ourlook for Outlook 2007; Outlook 2007.
Post relates to: Treo 650 (Unlocked GSM)

The error/issue is not with Acrobat.  As you save the Word file as a PDF open the 'options' box and check the box 'Create bookmarks using headings'; all heading text should be displayed in the bookmark without truncation.

              <p class="style45">I have
been enchanted by nature, birds and wildlife for as long as I can remember.
Growing up in Toronto, Canada I can recall countless hours spent
glued to National Geographic magazines, natural history books or watching
David Suzuki's &quot; The Nature of Things&quot; on TV. Those days
I took any opportunity I had to study and learn about animals of all
                kinds. Nowadays
I often find myself up at the crack of dawn, knee-deep in mud or covered
in mosquitoes all in pursuit of capturing just a glimpse of natures
beauty. Although I enjoy photographing all of mother natures fascinating
creatures. I tend to focus on birds. Why birds? I think it's because
there are so many species of birds, they can be found almost anywhere, they are
challenging to photograph and they are beautiful to watch. I love birds!</p>

            <p align="left" class="style67">I
will continue to strive to improve my craft of bird photography, and capture some part of
the beauty that surrounds us all. Along the way I look forward to sharing
my passion for nature photography, birds and the natural world with each and every

  • "Convert Text to Table" Size limit issue?

    Alphabetize a List
I’ve been using this well known work around for years.
Select your list and in the Menu bar click Format>Table>Convert Text to Table
Select one of the column’s cells (1st click selects entire table, 2nd click selects individual cell)
Open “Table Inspector” (Click Table icon at top of Pages document)
Make sure “table” button is selected, not “format” button
Choose Sort Ascending from the Edit Rows & Columns pop-up menu
Finally, click Format>Table>Convert Table to Text.
A few days ago I added items & my list was 999 items long, ~22 pages.
Tonight, I added 4 more items. Still the same # pages but now 1,003 items long.
Unable to Convert Text to Table! Tried for 45 minutes. I think there is a list length limit, perhaps 999 items?
I tried closing the document w/o any changes. Re-opening Pages & re-adding my new items to the end of the list as always & once again when I highlight list & Format>Table>Convert Text to Table .....nothing happens! I could highlight part of the list up to 999 items & leave the 4 new items unhighlighted & it works. I pasted the list into a new doc and copied a few items from the middle of the list & added them to the end of my new 999 list to make it 1003 items long (but different items) & did NOT work. I even attempted to add a single new item making the list an even 1000 items long & nope, not working. Even restarted iMac, no luck.
I can get it to work with 999 or fewer items easily as always but no way when I add even a single new item.
Anyone else have this problem?  It s/b easy to test out. If you have a list of say, 100 items, just copy & repeatedly paste into a new document multiple times to get over 1,000 & see if you can select all & then convert it from text to table.
    Thanks!

    G,
Yes, Pages has a table size limit, as you have discovered. Numbers has a much greater capacity for table length, so if you do your sort in Numbers you won't have any practical limitation.
A better approach than switching to Numbers for the sort would be to download, install and activate Devon Wordservice. Then you could sort your list without converting it to a table.

  • My 4S has stopped ringing. Voicemail's disabled but if you call me, you'll hear it ring your end but it does nothing at mine and freezes if I make a call. Texts are not being delivered or coming through delayed. Ringer is on, tone enabled - help!

My iPhone 4S has stopped ringing altogether. Voicemail is disabled but if you call me, you'll hear it ringing at your end but it does nothing my end and freezes in the phone app if I make a call (doesn't ring or connect and doesn't freeze the phone, just the calling part). Texts are not being delivered or coming through delayed. Ringer is on, tone enabled - help!
I've disabled roaming so it only runs on wifi (this after getting a £4k phone bill...) and I can use Skype, Viber and WhatsApp with no problem at all.
Would really appreciate any help at all!
    Many thanks.

Hi there - am with Orange and they said nothing wrong with account and service running normally.  They said if they had cut me off I would've received a text (debatable with current message receiving situation!) and when I called out it would say 'calls from this number are barred'.  Also if you called me it would say something similar.  But it doesn't, it will ring and ring until it rings off but nothing happens at all on my handset. Not even a missed call notification.  If I call out, it will display that it is calling the number but that's it.  If I cancel the call it will constantly display 'ending call'.  If I come out of the phone and go to another app then revist phone it will start calling that last dialled number - without ever getting as far as ringing or connecting.

  • Photoshop CC 2014 - "Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialised".

This problem has just started, only with CC 2014. It doesn't happen with CC or CS6.
When I open a particular layered file, then Duplicate it, then close the original Master file I get the "text engine" warning box when I try to enter text in the copy file.
If I enter text in the original Master file - no problem.
If the Master file is still open and I try to enter text in the copy file  - no problem.
I've validated all my fonts in Font Book, deleting all the duplicates and one corrupt font. No change to problem.
I've gone to User/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC2014/ and trashed the CT Font Cache folder. No change to problem.
    I've run PS Update.
    Running OS 10.9.3.
    Any suggestions?

I'm having the same issue on my work computer. I found this info in Adobe's help section.
    Issue
When you use the Type Tool, you receive the following error:
"Could not complete your request because something prevented the text ending from being initialized."
    To the top
    Solution
Close Photoshop, clear the font cache, and restart.
    Exit Photoshop.
In Windows Explorer, navigate to the Users/[user name]/AppData/Roaming/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop CC/CT Font Cache folder.
Move these two files to the Recycle Bin:
    AdobeFnt_CMaps.lst
    AdobeFnt_OSFonts.lst
    Empty the Recycle Bin.
    Restart Photoshop.

    Additional information
This issue can occur after you uninstall and reinstall Photoshop several times.
