Textarea shows old value

I had a very strange problem yesterday.
I have an ajax application which posts a form via ajax. after that this form gets hidden. When I opened another record, the server gave me new values and the form appears again. this works ok 99,9% of the time but suddenly i noticed the first field on the form was correct but the second on gave me the old value. Of course i thought of a server mistake first but when i opened the web inspector i saw that here the field had the correct (new) value but on screen it showed the old value. In the log i saw a doclip error reported by safari but i am not sure this is related. Any clue how this could have happened?

Insert egg on face here ...
Per the FM, I had to REFRESH the service, and then restart it.
And add MODE="-bd" to default/sendmail.
And now it works.
And now I know. And knowing ...

  • How to show old value in webui when user press NO button on popup button.

    Hi Experts,
    As per requirement I have created custom field with dropbox and with popup box to cofirm user decision if value from field changes.
    Now on Popup when user press Yes then its Ok as no need to change the current value in the field.
    but when user press the NO button I want to display the old value on Web UI so now I am able to catch the old value and pass it into the field at backend but I am not able to make the change on the web page.
    Please reply if anyone have solution for it.

    Hi Gaurav,
    First of all when all this is happening in UI why you need to pass the selected value to backend. I didnt get this.
    I believe, this is only ui related and the old value which you got can be set in the IMPL class global variable and  trigger method set_on_close_event, say here 'CONFIRM_POPUP_CLOSED' as shown below:
      gr_popup->set_on_close_event( iv_event_name = 'CONFIRM_POPUP_CLOSED'
                                        iv_view = me ).
    Retrive the answer as per selection from popup in method 'CONFIRM_POPUP_CLOSED'
    by using:
      lv_answer = gr_popup->get_fired_outbound_plug( ).
    if lv_answer is NO, then put back the globally stored old value back to dropdown attribute, using:
    set_property_by_value method(   iv_attr_name = 'dropdown attr' iv_value = 'old value' )
    Thats it. No need to do anything.

  • UI Component (h:selectOneMenu) showing old value not matching backing bean

    Mojarra 2.1.7-jbossorg-1
    I'm out of my wits trying to figure out what is going on here.
    I have broken down the problem that I am seeing to something smaller test case that is easily reproducable.
    Two <h:selectOneRadio> ( Approved and Notified )
    One <h:selectOneMenu> wrapped in a <h:panelGroup>
    One <h:commandButton>
    The list of contents of the <h:selectOneMenu> is dependent on the value of the "Approved" <h:selectOneRadio>, and the list is obtained from the viewBean.
    Apart from the "required" attribute, the only other validation is a validator method in the bean that:
    If "Approved" radio button is Yes, and "Notified" radio button is No, then a ValidatorException is thrown and is shown on the <h:messages>
    Now the issue:
    1) Select Approved "Yes"
    2) Select Notified "No"
    3) Select dropdown to PEND
    4) Select Submit button
    5) <h:messages> show "Notified must be true when action is PEND". All good.
    6) Change Approved to "No" ... Note that there is a listener on change of Approved ... and the listener will always set the value of the dropdown to null.
    Because I changed the value of the Approved radio button, the dropdown selection is then changed to the "- Select- " item, which is what I am expecting as that is what the listener method does ... and the dropdown is re-rendered.
    7) Change Approved back to "Yes" ... dropdown changes back to PEND ... This is what I do not understand.
    Why was it being changed back to PEND when:
    A) The listener on the Approved radio button always sets the value of the dropdown to null in the backend.. and
    B) The Approved render attribute always re-render the dropdown

    Ok .. I am confused by what you just said .. as I did say that the same problem STILL exists in Mojarra 2.1.22.
    ergo .. It is not an issue with the usage of JSF but appears to be a bug in the implementation.I meant a bug in the old version that JBoss ships with. But I also mean in general; as you can see JSF 2.x is already on release 22 - the chance of you finding such an easy to trigger bug has become relatively slim. So no, I must assume it is actually a problem with not understanding how JSF ticks properly. Which is understandable since after using it for 5 years it still surprises me occasionally.
    The bug you link to is about values staying the same, not reverting back to a previous state.OK .. Maybe this will be more convincing (?). I change the xhtml so that it also displays ( via h:outputText ) .. the value of the backing bean that is the same value used for the h:selectOneMenu.

  • BPC 7.0 MS Script-Logic problem: New values used, old values written?

    I am trying to using BPC Script logic to update my Sales cube, specifically Revenue=Units*Price and Price=Revenue/Units using the "Price" stored in a seperate Price cube.
    Inside default.lgl, I am *INCLUDE-ing my own script:
    *LOOKUP PRICES
    *DIM PREIS:ACCOUNT="Price"
    *ENDLOOKUP
    *WHEN ACCOUNT
    *IS "Units"
    *REC(FACTOR=LOOKUP(PREIS),ACCOUNT="Revenue")
    *IS "Revenue"
    *REC(EXPRESSION=%VALUE%/LOOKUP(PREIS),ACCOUNT="Units")
    *ENDWHEN
    *COMMIT
    Now, when I insert new "Units" values using the std. Excel template, strange things happen:
    - The Revenues seems to be computed and updated correctly in the cube (if I check them using excel templates, they show up).
    - The Units seem to have the values they had before... seems they get old values ?!
    E.g. if I have several write operations say, I write units=2,3,4 and price is constant 10,
    the values in the cube seem to be (table):
    value written, units in cube, revenue
    3 , 2 , 30
    4,  3 , 40
    The new value is somewhere in the MS Analysis cube, otherwise, how could later be the new value be shown, although the excel templates seem to show old values?
    Any explanation for that strange behaviour?

    I simplified and wrote the prices in the same cube as I send the data from with the excel template.
    I tried using:
    *WHEN ACCOUNT
    *IS "Units"
    [Account].[#Revenue]=[Account].[Units]*[Account].[Price]
    *ENDWHEN
    *COMMIT
    *WHEN ACCOUNT
    *IS "Revenue"
    [Account].[#Units]=[Account].[Revenue]/[Account].[Price]
    *ENDWHEN
    *COMMIT
    Now, if units are send from the excel template, revenue is calculated correctly.
    If I enter revenue instead, seems that the 1st block is executed as well (why????!!!/how to avoid - I use *WHEN - what else should I do? )  which would explain the behaviour I get the old values for Units and Account again...
    Related: How can I use "*WRITE_TO_FILE"? I tried both
    *WRITE_TO_FILE Mylog.txt
    *WRITE_TO_FILE "Mylog.txt"
    But I can't find these file after sending data through the excel template... Do I have to create the files manually first or give full Path Names?
    Thanks!

  • Subscription showing old UserID as owner, doesn't permit saving

    We are using Sql Server 2008R2. My userID changed when I converted from a contractor to an employee. I'm logging in with my new userID. I can create a subscription and save it. But the subscription fails, and when I go in to edit, it shows my previous UserID.
    The Active Directory administrator sits next to me, and does not see my old UserID associated with my new one. The Subscription table shows the correct owner.
    Does anyone have an idea of what can be done.  This problem is with newly created subscriptions.  I did not have permissions to create subscriptions with my old UserID.
    Thanks for any help!
    Some more info ...
    I can create subscriptions on our Development Server.  Our Dev server is 2008, whereas Production is 2008R2.  I compared the two servers'
    RSReportServer.config  files and nothing is different, except for lines that changed due to the version upgrade to R2.  On the 2008 Dev Subscription screen, there is no "Owner:"
    specified, whereas the R2 screen (Prod) shows the value as the old username.

    Hi Lou,
    Based on my test, I find the Owner field only appears when the current user is not the creator for the subscription. And the Owner field show the owner of the subscription, means the user who create the subscription.
    According to your description, it seems that you are using the current UserID when create subscriptions on your Development Server, while you are using the old UserID when create subscriptions on our Production Server.
    To fix this issue, please refer to the following link:

  • Which table stores old value of IBAN number and how to retrive old value.

    HELLO TEAM
    We are going through an enhancement process that requires to display old value and new value of the IBAN number from the Vendor master records. As IBAN is a combination of the country key, Bank Key and Bank account number, which are all key fields, their values are stored in the form of key in CDHDR and and CDPOS tables. The bank details are only shown in other key tab/column and the field name is displayed as key in CDPOS. These sensitive field changes are displayed as created or deleted but do not show as old value=x and new value =Y.The old value and new value fields are blank. The same happens for object IBAN and the tiban table only stores iban numbers that are updated and does not store old value of the iban number.
    If I have to display in the report s_alr_87012089, the old value and the new value of the iban number , how can i achieve the task. From which table we can retireve the old value of the IBAN number.

    Hello Team
    We have explored all the above means. We are working in 4.7 environment. As we could not find an appropriate solution, we have approached the forum. The old value is not stored in cdhdr and cdpos and has the indicator as 'E' -Delete. So if an updation is done then it will delete old value and create a new value. This happens especially for the fields Bank Country Key,Bank Key, Bank Account Number. All we have checked the object attributes in the table lfbk, where for some fields it does track changes  and for other it does not track changes. This is especially for the fields kovon and kobis.
    If the requirement is to track changes to the fields Bank Country Key,Bank Key, Bank Account Number, kovon, kobis, iban which are sensitive data, and the report has to display old value and new value for sox compliance, how can this be achieved?
    I have also gone through the SAP note 580266
    If we are running a report to track changes to all vendors or a selected group of vendors, only some fields show up the value old value and new value.
    Would appreciate if an appropriate solution is provided.
    Request for a solution as i waited for 2 days if any expert could help!!!
    Thank you

  • How to change the dynamically  LOV value to old value if it errors out

    We have an use case like when a value is selected from LOV, some validations(EO validations) occur on that and if the validation fails we are throwing exception.But the new value is appearing in LOV text box. We need to display the old value in the LOV if the validation fails. Can you please let me know if there is any way to do that?

    After thinking about this, I wondered if I had mis-read the use-case....so I added #2
    Please state your Jdeveloper version, and elaborate on your use-case:
    *1. Are you saying that the LOV contains incorrect values that the user has chosen?*
    If so you should restrict the LOV values to what is acceptable for the row (based on what other values are in the row)
    By restricting the values in the LOV the wrong value can no longer be selected, you would not need to build in functionality to revert back to previous values.
    I woud start by creating a view criteria for the view object the LOV is based on. The form values would send the binding variables to the view criteria, and that would then execute the query (invoking the view criteriea). The LOV would then contain some information on only acceptable values.
    You may be able to adapt some of the ideas presented in this video (on cascading list boxes) to make your LOV work properly. http://youtu.be/WTevRnXq04o
    This video shows some ways to manipulate view criteria: http://youtu.be/dX93fiBCxEg
    *2. Are you saying that the user has selected other fields in the form -- validation on those fields fails, and you want to revert back, but the LOV still contains the values selected?*
    In that case, you need to clear the values in the form and re-execute the view object -- and refreshing to the correct value.

  • Get back old values into Form Building Application

    I have a database trigger that raised an error message when a record is no allowed to change/update. I would like to know how I go back to the old values and reflect these into my application.
    I use Oracle Forms Building Version 9.0.2.10.1 (Production) under Window XP system. Below is the database trigger code:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "DBDSCHM".AAPT_REVIEWS_BUR
    BEFORE UPDATE ON AAPT_REVIEWS
    REFERENCING OLD AS OLD NEW AS NEW
    FOR EACH ROW
    DECLARE
    Aaap_approved          EXCEPTION;
    BEGIN
    IF (Aapfn_List_Items_Desc(:OLD.AREV_STATUS) = 'APPROVED' AND
    :OLD.AREV_CREATED_BY = 'AAPTRF' AND
                   :OLD.AREV_MODIFIED_BY = 'AAPTRF') THEN
    RAISE Aaap_approved;
    END IF;
    EXCEPTION
    WHEN Aaap_approved     THEN                                                            RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(40509,'This Review cannot be modified. '||
         'AAP Approved prior to Conversion');
    END aapt_review_bur;
    SHOW ERROR

    Thanks John, but the proposed of this trigger is to prevent any user to update the records that were loader prior to the Data Loader. That is the reason that this trigger has a condition to compare the old value with the new value. Please, see the syntaxes below:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "DBDSCHM".AAPT_REVIEWS_BUR
    BEFORE UPDATE ON AAPT_REVIEWS
    REFERENCING OLD AS OLD NEW AS NEW
    FOR EACH ROW
    /* This trigger prevents to modify any AAP review */
    /* that was already approved PRIOR TO THE Conversion.*/
    BEGIN
    IF (Aapfn_List_Items_Desc(:OLD.AREV_STATUS) = 'APPROVED' AND
    (:OLD.AREV_CREATED_BY = 'AAPTRF') AND (:OLD.AREV_MODIFIED_BY = 'AAPTRF')) THEN
    RAISE_APPLICATION_ERROR(-20090,'This Review cannot be modified. AAP Approved prior to Conversion');
    END IF;
    END aapt_review_bur;
    What I really want is that when the above trigger fire and the user receive the raise application message meaning that the user could not updated the record. But the wrong value still show on the form and it will keep getting this error until you put back the previous value. What I really want is to be able to raise the application error and to show back any values that were tried to modify.

The Problem is If I change the value then I have to get the previous value that the cell had. How to get that original value before the update.
    There is a way by which we can get the same by inserting one dummy column which stores previous value.But this method inserts unneccessary if you require the total of 3 columns and if you require the same thing again and again in different frames
    Is There any way by which we can show the total
    Thanks in advance

    Can I maintain a sum of a column in a JTextField such that I change the sum as soon as any value in that column is changed without recalculating the totalYes, now I understand the question you just want to update the total with the difference between the old value and the new value.
    I don't see why you are going to all this trouble. Why complicate your program, just loop though all the values in each column and add them together. You will not have a performance problem. Here is a similiar example of this approach:
    http://forum.java.sun.com/thread.jspa?forumID=57&threadID=566133
    However, if you still don't like that solution then you can try overriding the getCellEditor(...) or prepareEditor(...) methods of JTable. These methods should be invoked when you start editing the cell and you could query the TableModel and save the current value.

  • Audit of attribute value change: is the old value available?

    When changing the value of an user attribute in the FIM Portal, the new attribute value is properly logged. This can be read in the request and in the standard report FIMUserHistory.
    The question is, what about the old value that was replaced? Is the old value available in the Data Warehouse somewhere, so one can make a report or is it gone forever (of course one can find the old value by looking at the previous attribute change or creation
    event, but this could be too long time ago)?
    Thanks for helping,
    Didier.

    As far I remember (I don't have access to test FIM Reporting now) in reports stored on Data Warehouse, there is no such thing as "old value". But as far I remember it, also very old data is stored there, so there can be something like:
    User: JJK003 -> New attribute (mail) value: [email protected] (12.12.2013)
    User: JJK003 -> New attribute (mail) value: [email protected] (12.02.2014)
    so, if you look closely to a history and sort it by user - you can determine what was the old value.
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj133843(v=ws.10).aspx
    In report, you have always most recent display name of this user and of attribute's display name, but history should show what value was inserted long time ago and what value was set a week ago - than you know what value was there previously.
    But please be aware that users report, according to TechNet, does not include all properties:
    This report provides information about changes to key attributes on user resources in FIM, including account name, email, job title, and
    employee start/end date.
    Keep trying

  • Where can i find Old Value?

    When i edit user and i save it, everytime IDM shows me the changes of the user's variables, there are columns Old Value and New Value. In a Workflow i want to access to these Old Value variables and manipulate it.

    For Lighthouse they are stored in user.waveset.attributes (for example, user.waveset.attributes.firstname)
    For other resources - user.waveset.accounts[resourceName].attributes (for example, user.waveset.accounts[AD].attributes.accountExpires)

  • BAPI doesnt show updated values

    Hi Experts,
    I have this problem with a bapi "BAPI_BUS20350_GET_DETAIL", it is used to get the details (descriptions , partners) etc of an Audit.
    The problem is when i make some changes to an audit(say description) in a report and run this bapi it still gives me the old values , it is only when i run the report again that it shows me the new values .
    I would like to get the updated values in the same running session , there is no refresh bapi in the function group.
    Please throw some lite on how to solve this problem.
    Appreciate Ur Replies,
    Chaitanya.

    Hi Chaitanya,
    Please try to call the BAPI, " BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT" which will commit the current work process which in turn help you to solve your current problem, or else you can use ABAP statements like COMMIT, or WAIT UP TO sec SECONDS etc.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Antony Thomas

  • List ItemRenderer contains old values

    Hi Everyone,
         I have used List for show the data from db. Data will update periodically. My problem is some rows contains old values. I have tried validateNow(), invalidateList...
    But I cant achieve the result.
    Kindly Suggest me the possible ways to reset the Data.

    If you are using custom ItemRenderer, you need to declare a variable within custom ItemRenderer and use that variable to display the data.

  • Why substitution strings are keeping old value in translated application even after seed/publish?

    Hi,
    Recently I have notice a small but from the point of view of our customer "big" issue. We have defined in our application some substitution strings to keep more detailed information about the version of the application. They are later used in page templates to show mentioned info to the end users. Recently I had to update value of one of the substitution strings. The change is immediately visible in main application. Unfortunately it is not the case for the translated application. For some reason old value is kept. Even after doing "Seed" -> "Apply translation file" -> "Publish". It is still preserving the old value. I have tried to use "Translatable" checkbox in the template. In the translation file it is showing properly substitution string in the "source" and "target" tags but still it is resolved to the old value.
    We are using APEX 4.2.2.00.11 running on 11g.
    Waiting for any suggestions as maybe it is me forgetting about ticking somewhere additional "checkbox". Thank you in advance.
    Greetings,
    kempiak

    It was my mistake. Value of the substitution string is included in the translation file. I have changed it there and it works perfectly.
