TextField doesn't get focused directly using Firefox

I have a login dialog which contains userNameInput textField. Upon the application load, I want the userNameInput be fucused and cursor blinking. And I can type without clicking on the screen.
In loginDialog.as, creationComplete I have
     callLater(setDefaultFocus, new Array(null));
And setDefaultFocus function:
     focusManager.setFocus(userNameInput);
     focusManager.showFocus();
This works perfectly in IE. But it's not working in Firefox.
Can anyone tell me why this is not working in Firefox? Is this a Flex issue or Firefox issue? And is there any work around exist?
I've searched online and tried the following ways, no one works so far.
      1. stage.focus = userNameInput;
      2. navigateToURL(new URLRequest("javascript:document.getElementById('UxFlashApplication').focus();"),"_self");
      3. userNameInput.setSelection(userNameInput.length, userNameInput.length);
I've also tried set wmode to opaque, this works but it breaks something else in the application ( e.g. mouse scroll), I prefer not to do anything with wmode.
Envoironment: Flex 3/4, windows 7, Firefox13 and 16
Any help would be appreciated!

Having the same problem. Trying to work out if the 3GS has an actual moving part in the camera to focus or whether it 'sharpens' it digitally... I'll keep you posted if I find out

Why my textfield can not get focus?

I put a textfield on the first tab of a tabbed panel. I need this textfield to get the focus when I open the first tab. I tried to use grabfocus() method in the constructor of class, but it does not work. Does anybody know why? and how can I solve it?

No, I didn't call grab/requestFocus on the event thread.
My code is like this:

The logic is simple, but the textfield still couldn't get focus when I open the tabbedPanel.

Z2 Camera doesn't get focus, photo is burred

Hello. I didn't have any problem with my z2 for 3 months, but from 3 days ago the camera now is not getting focus, the photo/image look like blurred, I've tried the manual focus but also didn't work. Someone had the same problem? How did you solve?

Hi and welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.
That sounds strange, have checked so there are no dirt or similar at the camera lens? You can also try to clear data for the camera via Settings > Apps > The tab "All" > Camera > Clear data.

Hi ... I'm losing mail and I can't figure out why it's not getting through. Have three devices (iMac & MacBook, running Mac OS X 10.7.5, and iPhone 4, running iOS 6.0.1). I use apple's mail program and have icloud account. Yet some folk can't send me mail. Any ideas???

Thanks for picking up on this issue. The mail doesn't bounce back, so they think it's gone out OK. We've established that emails come through as long as there is no attachment. The sender is in my address book, so I'm at a loss as to what else I can check/do. Any suggestions?

How can I copy and paste from Google "Keep"? Whenever i try, the copied text doesn't get copied on the Firefox clipboard, it copies to my 'default' clipboard.

it is possible that zoom maybe enabled i think double taping with three fingers should disable it.
or you can go into settings>general> assessability> zoom and turn it off.

Does anyone have problems getting onto youtube using firefox on OS10.6.8 ?

I do. It's very hit and miss (usually miss) if I'll get there at all, or if I do, if I'll see the page correctly or be able to stream videos.

It's not a plug-in issue in Firefox as the latest Safari has the same problem.
For some reason I want to suspect 'java', but that's just a feeling.

Hi there, I have a 2D client-server game, using NIO's UDP. Whenever the clients send data to server, the data just disappears and not exception nor error appear at the server side.
Following are the portions of the code where the problem occurs, please help me have a look, many thanks.
(Please note, I'm using non blocking mode for both client and server, and have no problems with other portions of code, communication was fine, data did get through the network and processed by the server/client. Firefox has been unusable because of crashes; I want to delete it from my desktop and re-install; please, how can I do this? I'm stuck with using safari and I want to be able to get back to using firefox!

Incredimail doesn't open anymore - directly after firefox install

after the installation of the 4 beta 7 version my incredimail doesn't open anymore. I see the icon in the system tray, i can download mail headers etc, but the main screen doesn't open anymore.

Try a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder (C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\) before reinstalling a fresh copy of Firefox.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.

Recently I upgraded my Application with Java 1.7 (using jdk-7u17-windows-i586) from java 1.6. Swing component JTextfeilds used to get focus when using java1.6. But after up-gradation to Java 1.7 in few scenarios JTextFeild is not getting focus and I am unable to do any thing with keyboard. Again I have to click on some button with Mouse and need to keep focus using mouse in the textfeild.
OS : Windows
Used Java Version : jdk-7u17-windows-i586

Can't get focused a JTextField within a JTable cell

I have a table and I placed a cell editor with a JText field on it for all cell editing,
I want to do things when the focus is lost or gained and my app works fine when a cell is double clicked or f2 is pressed, but when a cell is selected (without double clicking) and just begin typing it produces no focus gained event.
I tried by calling grabFocus method of that jTextField within the overriden prepareEditor method of the JTable but it doesn't get focus (doesn't even gains and loses it :s )
Does anyone have an idea of how to force this component to grab focus?

dont add the FocusListener to the EditorComponent.
