The App store says my App is installed but it is not

The App store says the App is installed on my IPad but I can't find it anywhwere?
Any Suggestions?

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, and you can't find it via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first home screen to the right), then is it hidden by and app age rating in Settings > General > Restrictions ?
If not then have you tried a reset to see if you can find it after the iPad has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • The App store says mountain lion is installed but it's not

I have a brand new macbook pro. The store says it's done but in the Launchpad the mountain lion icon is still grey and showing a blank downloading bar. Should I restart my computer?

Basically, the App Store is telling you that the purchase is complete and the download is underway.
The ML download is 4GB and can take anywhere from 1-8 hours to download depending on your internet connection speed.  A 1.5Mbps connection will take 7-8 hours, while a 10Mbps will take 1-2 hours.
Open the App store back up and go to the Purchases tab.  It should show the download progress of ML.
The progress bar on the ML icon is not a very good indicator since it's so short.

So you want to use the app in a different account than you bought it with. If that is the case you need to contact the Mac App Store support. You will find the link for that in the Mac App Store by clicking Featured - Under Quick Links you will see the Support link. Follow that for help.

  • Hello  I was trying to by the app guitar party but i do not remember the answer to the security questions.  What can I do ?

    Hello
I was trying to by the app guitar party but i do not remember the answer to the security questions.  What can I do ?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • Had to uninstall iWork trial since I bought the pages app and it wouldn't let me print or save.  Now the app store says I have pages installed but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it.  I'm not very computer savvy and am getting frustrated!

Ooops, guess I didn't need to post everything in the title - sorry!  I bought the pages app - but couldn't save or print so with some online searching found that I had to uninstall the iWork trial which had expired.  I did that - but now I can't figure out how to re-install the pages app!!  The app store says it's installed, but I can't find it anywhere to open and use it.  I'm not very computer savvy - and am a first time Mac user and am getting extremely frustrated!  I e-mailed some help center and they can't seem to help me either.  I would appreciate any help/advice that can fix my problem - thanks in advance!!

OK Apple has stuffed up the demo version upgrade process so the first thing you need to do is get rid of the demo.
That includes getting rid of the files in the system.
The instructions how to do that are here:
Note That where you see / that is the sequence of folders, each nested inside each other.
    User/Library/Preferences the com.apple.iwork.Keynote.plist
Means the User (you, the little home icon, whatever you are called on your computer) then the Library folder inside that and then the Preferences folder inside that.
Lion initially hides the System folders from you so you have to go to the Finder > Menu > hold down the option key and click on GO > Library to see it.

  • App Store says Xcode isn't installed, but it's on my computer.

I installed Xcode on the 6th of August, but now - 23rd of August - in the App Store > Purchased Xcode's button "install" is blue, and install when clicked.
    What's wrong?

Xcode 4.1 was released two days before the 6th of August, and it is the one I installed. Yesterday the App Store said that all my apps had been installed, which they had.
It must therefore be a glich. The problem is that I asked it to download, and it's taking an extremely long time, ranging between 1h 50mins to 1day 20h, so I can't launch it from the LaunchPad.

  • The osx app store says there's an update but there's not?

    how can i;
    a) find the update, or,
    b) remove the notification?
    it's on the icon also..

Your screenshot isn't showing for me.
But here's something you can try...
Quit the app store.  Open finder.  Click "Go" at the top of your screen (same bar as the apple), then click "go to folder" on that menu.  Type in "/var/folders" without the quotes and click Go.  Back in the finder window, you'll see folders in there with 2 characters (like dq, zz, etc).  Drag those to your trash.  You can also clear /Library/Updates.  Reboot for good measure, then check for software updates under the Apple menu.

  • Creative Cloud Says App is installed but it is not

There is a latest update Lightroom 5.7.1, hence Creative Cloud App showing install option for Lightroom.
You may click on install and it will install 5.7.1 update

  • Acrobat says that it is installed, but it is not

I have recently wiped my drive and re-installed apps. I have successfully installed photoshop, indesign, illustrator cc 2014. When I go to the Creative Cloud App it says that Acrobat IX is installed, but it isn't installed. I did not install it on this drive. I used the "uninstall" provided within the Creative Cloud App. It asks me to authenticate, looks like it's doing something, but Acrobat IX still shows as installed. I have quit CC. I have restarted my machine. I have looked for the uninstall app independent of the CC app and it doesn't exist. I DO need to install Acrobat. How can I do this?
[Other information that may be relevant or not – I do have an internal drive which has a clone of my old system drive that has Acrobat IX on it, but it also has the other apps that installed / work as they should. I signed out of CC before I reinstalled the new system on the internal system drive]

After a lengthy uninstall of ALL cloud apps, and letting Adobe support manually take control of my machine and delete files from the user/lib, I was able to get Acrobat installed. Now the CC Desktop app says it's NOT installed, even though it runs fine and shows no updates when that command is invoked directly from the check updates menu in Acrobat. Further, the Adobe icon in the menu bar shows that 4 updates are available.
Is it just me, or is Adobe's new Cloud delivery system just not ready for primetime?

  • How do I get an app to show up after I have mistakenly deleted it during the process of the app updating. The App Store says that it is purchased but it will not open when I push open

    Help!

Does it show on your device's taskbar (double-click the home button) ? If it does then try closing it from there (swipe/drag it up and off the top of the screen).
If it still doesn't open, or if you can't find it on the taskbar, then have you tried a soft-reset to see if you can open or download it after the device has restarted ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.

  • I have gotten my iTouch 4th Gen stolen and want to locate it using Find My iPhone. It has the app on it but I'm not sure if it is signed into iCloud. Can I remotely sign it into iCloud?

What can I do so that I can see where it is and remote lock it?

If you weren't signed in, it's too late to do so now. Go to http://icloud.com and see if it can be tracked.
