The autosave feature does not work on Pages 5.2

Since downloading the new version of Pages with Mavericks, the auto save fearure has never worked for me. After initally saving the document to iCloud, giving it a name and folder, every time I make a change I get the 'Edited' label next to the document name. I have to cmd-s of file save in order for the document to be saved, or am promted to save when I close to app. I have tried deleting and reinstalling Pages with no luck.
Is there a way to turn the feature on, Please help ?!
P.S- I am on Late 2013 Retina MBP 13", running latest software on both OS X and Pages.

I don't think either of your "indicators" actually refers to whether a document has been autosaved; they both refer to the saving of a version.
The prompt to save is a reflection of the setting in the General pane of System Preferences to ask when closing; if that is unchecked, the document will close without a dialog, but including the changes that you have made since the last version that you marked with ⌘ S.
The "Edited" label indicates that there have been changes since the last marked version. The changes may have (eventually will have) been autosaved to disk, but if you browse back through the version history, the first step will jump over those most recent edits.

    I have seen this before. You need to update the apps in your app store, and once they are updated, they will work again.

  • The password features does not work. Open TB, and I can read my email without using the password. Why?

    I use a password for security. When I click onto TB, I do not have to use my password to read my emails or it will not download. I cannot figure out how to change my password. When I tried to set the master password,
    it claims to have confirmed the new one. But I have to use the old password, or I do not have to use a password at all to read my email, if it downloads. This is after I uninstalled and installed TB 24.4 three times.
    Now what, any ideas?

    Here is my understanding: the master password secures your saved passwords. In other works, it unlocks your password to connect to the server to send and receive mail. It doesn't prevent people who have access to your computer from opening Thunderbird and seeing what's already there.

    I haven't heard other reports of this (though there was an issue quite some time ago where deleting pages on this combination of Acrobat/OS was challenging).
    Can you please tell me what happens when you try to replace pages? Do you get an error message? Are you able to manipulate pages otherwise (delete, extract, and so on)? Is this issue unique to one file, or does it happen with all PDF files?

    This is not fun.

    Make sure that <b>[] "Match case"</b> on the Find bar (Ctrl+F) doesn't have a check-mark.

    HandOff feature does NOT work on my iPhone6 and iPad Air.
    I have the latest updates (iOS 8.1) installed and my MBP is on Yosemite 10.10...
    I have my iPad Air, iPhone6, and MBP on the same network.
    And, I have bluetooth enabled.
    Yet, I don't see the handOff icon appear on any of my mobile devices...
    Am I missing something??
    Does setting a password on all my devices affect this feature?

    To get Handoff working between your devices, please take a look at the article below for settings needed to be configured on your devices.
    Check your settings
    Check the following settings on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:
    Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
    Make sure your iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network by going to Settings > Wi-Fi and comparing the name of the network each is on.
    Go to Settings > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth if necessary.
    Go to Settings > General > Handoff & Suggested Apps and make sure Handoff is on.
    Go to Settings > Phone. If you seeWi-Fi Calling, turn it off.
    Check the following settings on your Mac:
    Go to the Wi-Fi icon at the top of your screen and turn on Wi-Fi if necessary.
    Make sure your Mac and iOS devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi on your iOS device and compare the name of the network with the Wi-Fi network on your Mac.

    The 'share' button does absolutely nothing. I went through the same upgrade on my daughters Mac (Mavericks etc), and it works perfectly well on hers. Does this mean I should re-install iMovie? If so, how on earth to do I unravell the mystery of achieving that?

    I have the same problem. The 'share' feature is not working in iMovie...?
    I deleted iMovie from the Applications folder and emptied the Trash. But the App Store still shows iMovie as "Installed" so it won't reinstall. What else should I try?
    Why has Apple not issued a fix for the "Share" bug? It means that iMovie 10.0 is unusable. Little by little the quality of Apple products is sliding downhill.

    Created a user and specified 'Change password on the first use' - when user logs in - the 'Change password' window does not pop- up.
    Please advise.

    (APEX 4.0.2) I am running into this same issue - if you don't set the password expiration and locking to 'Yes', the user gets into the app without being asked to change the pw.
    When you do set expiration and locking - after the user logs on with their temporary password, it does take them to the change password page (4155:50) but the username is blank. Because the username didn't get to the page the old password will never match and you get the "Invalid password" message.
    What am I missing? Anyone successful doing this?
    Simple application, default authentication, no javascript, HTTP_SERVER, no ssl.

    There is no default restriction password. If you didn't set it someone else may have. If you can't find it then you may have to follow the steps here:
    Forgot passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or ...
    Do you have a backup which might not have this restriction passcode? If so restore to that backup?

    You are on the right track to getting the printer installed regarding firewall but perhaps it has saved in a different port on your computer than can communicate correctly.  Search Devices and Printers on the Windows 8 PC so you can pull up the printers' folder. Do you see the Officejet 6500 in here (meaning have you installed it again)?  If you do not see it here, check your Print Server Properties and make sure the driver is not in here either, if so remove it.  Restart the Print Spooler. Make sure you uninstall it completely and shut down the PC (see video link on how to uninstall HP drivers and restart the print spooler in Windows 8 if needed).
    Remember to re-install the Full Feature Software and Drivers (for your OS and region) when the PC reboots.  Try the test print and if it does not print:
    1. Right-click on it and select Printer Properties.  
    2. Under the Ports tab make sure you see the printer's IP address here or a serial number.  Sometimes the HP network -rediscovery ports can be tricky.  
    3. When the printer is high-lighted in this window, click Add Port.  
    4. Select Standard TCP/IP and follow the rest of the prompts in the Wizard to enter in the printer's current IP address.
    5. Try to print.
    If this does not help you, you may have other computer problems.  
    Have you ever installed a printer on this PC before?  
    What is the name of the anti-virus software you use?
    Are you on a server, proxy, or other elaborate wireless setup?  
    Answer those questions for me please if the above information does not help you. I will do my best to assist.
