The function Dispose

Question

I'm transleting a project from C# to WPF
In C# I have a function Dispose
board.Dispose();
 In WPF it doesn't work. How can I write this in WPF ?
I have an error
'UserControls.Board' does not contain a definition for 'Dispose' and no extension method 'Dispose' accepting a first argument of type 'UserControls.Board' could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference?)

By looking at the class in the code-behind:
public partial class Board : UserControl, IDisposable
public Board() {
InitializeComponent();
public void Dispose()
But the built-in base class System.Windows.Controls.UserControl does not implement the IDisposable interface.
And if a class implements the IDisposable interface you will not get a compile error when writing:
theUserControl.Dispose();
...unless the interface is explicitly implemented and the type of the "theUserControl" is not IDisposable but that's another non-WPF story which you don't have to worry about in this case. Please refer to the C# programming guide if you want know
