The Job Failed Due to  MAX-Time at ODS Activation Step

Hi
I'm getting these errors "The Job Failed Due to  MAX-Time at ODS Activation Step" and
         "Max-time Failure"
How to resolve this failure?

Hi ,
You can check the ODs activation logs in ODs batch montior >> click on taht job >>> job log
for this first you check in sm37 how many jobs are running if there are many otehr long running jobs then . the ODs activation will happen very slowly as the system is overloaded .. due to the long running jobs ..this causes the poor performance of system ..
for checking the performance of system .. you first check the lock waits in ST04..and check wether they are progressing or nt ..
check sm66 .. for the no of process running on system ..
check st22 >> for short dumps ..
check Os07> to check the cpu idle tiem if its less tehn 20% . then it means the cpu is overlaoded .
check sm21 ...
check the table space avilable in st04..
see if the system is overlaoded then the ODS wont get enough work process to create the backgorund jobs for that like(Bi_BCTL*)..jobs .the updation will happen but very slowly ..
in this case you can kill few long running jobs which are not important .. and kill few ODs activations also ..
Dont run 23 ODs activation all at a time .. run some of them at a time ..
And as for checking the key points for data loading is check st22,cehck job in R/3 , check sm58 for trfc, check sm59 for Rfc connections

Shikha

    Hi Jiggi
Are you running 2 jobs at the same time from DB13?  What do you mean by >Db13 both the jobs failed
    >ORA-00001: unique constraint
can happen due to lot of reasons in SAP. Basically it means you are insertion of  already existing records.
This also may happen due to bug in brtools patch level. What is your brtools patch level?
You can also have a look at

Hi Guys, Im trying to send a 80pages IPhoto book to the store but the uploading fails, I tried several times and always a message "an error occurred" without clarification, can you help me?
Is there any size limit? or a limit of time to upload? (as it takes more than one hour!!!)

    Preview the book -
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
if it is good boot into safe mode, preview again (only limited fonts are loaded in safe mode) and upload

  • "LabVIEW FPGA: The compilation failed due to timing violations, but there is no path information because the timing violations are not of type PERIOD

The compilation of my labview fpga vi fails with the error message "LabVIEW FPGA:  The compilation failed due to timing violations, but there is no path information because the timing violations are not of type PERIOD".
In the 'final timing (place and route)' report, the requested frequencies are all below the maximum frequencies and the compilation error message is only displayed at the very end on the 'summary' page.
I tried to optimize my labview fpga vi with pipelining, but had no success.
Can anybody offer some advice on how to debug fpga code with this error? Is this really a timing error or something else?
    Software:

    Hi Kyle,
the problem is: I have one computer which compiles the VI successfully and a second one which shows that error. Both use the same software setup (LV2011SP1+RT+FPGA from DS2012-01). Both use the same project file - atleast SVN shows no difference.
    - You can have one FPGA VI where one computer is compiling successful and a second one complains. (Btw. I have a SRQ running in Germany on this topic.)
    - More problems: After successful compiling on first computer and transferring all to second computer (using SVN, including the full project folder with all files like bitfiles, lvproj, and everything) the second computer is unable to start the RT executable due to error "FPGA VI needs to recompile". Solution so far: Call the FPGA-OpenReference with the bitfile instead of the VI (as I used to do until now)...
    - More problems: After modifying the FPGA-OpenReference to use the bitfile (on the 2nd computer) and transferring all the files back to the 1st computer (using SVN as before, including the whole project) the 1st computer complains: FPGA-OpenReference is creating a different reference than is used in the VI. So what happens here? On one computer my VI is ok, the reference is typed correctly. Transferring all the files to a different computer the VI isn't ok anymore due to changes of the reference??? You know: all files are the same: lvproj, FPGA bitfile didn't change, cRIO reference didn't change...
All those problems didn't occur on my RT-FPGA projects in LV2010SP1. I'm not pleased...
    Best regards,
    GerdW

    Hi,
Disk defrag is initiated when a volume shrink is attempted. See if there is any problem defragging a volume and correct any problems doing that.

I'm trying to copy a database. When going through the Copy Database Wizard, I'm getting a Execute SQL Server Agent Job error. The error states " The job failed. Check the event log on the destination server for details". See below:
    Performing operation
    Add log for package (Success)
Add task for transferring database objects (Success)
    Create package (Success)
Start SQL Server Agent Job (Success)
Execute SQL Server Agent Job (Error) Messages
The job failed. Check the event log on the destination server for details. (Copy Database Wizard)
I can't seem to find what causing this problem. Am I using the correct approach? I just need to copy this database. Thank in advance.

    Hi mohammad2050,
When using Copy Database Wizard, please make sure that the SQL Server Agent account or Integration Services Proxy account is a member of sysadmin fixed server role, and has access permission on both of source and target file system.
There is a blog about using SQL Server Copy Database Wizard for your reference .

  • The save failed due to out of memory or disk space?

What does this mean? I have a paper to right as well as other task that I must complete. This popped up while I was trying to save a file through Microsoft word.

Google "The save failed due to out of memory or disk space? Mac"
    http://ask.metafilter.com/214916/Bring-back-the-doc
    http://texmylife.blogspot.com/2012/06/save-failed-due-to-out-of-memory-or.html
There are more google matches, so if these do not help, then you might try the google search.  Also this appears to be a Word issue, so maybe the Microsoft forums would be a good place to explore

  • APO jobs cancelled due to error- Time limit Exceed.

    Dear All,
Three jobs are scheduled daily to transfer data from R/3 to APO,
These are cancelled due to error -"Time limit exceed".

    Hi Pankaj,
There is a specific time allocated for each queue to clear and to get transferred across the system. the probable reasons are.
    1. The queue itself is taking more than the allocated time to clear due to system load. Each queue requires specific free memory from server , in case of overload system is unable to allocate desired memory hence the error might appear.
    2. If in a queue the very first entry is stuck due to x,y,z reason the queues following automatically go into "timeout" and then "system fail"
    Proposed solution.
    1. Analyze the first entry functionally. If Ok then ask the basis team to clear that particular entry.
    2. after time out the queue will go to "SYSFAIL". Double clicking on this will reveal the reason. Based on the technical reason I can suggest the relevant OSS notes to be applied.
For detailed technical analysis check t-code CFG1.

  • How do I recover files when the install fails due to a damaged HD

While updating to Mavericks for Mountain Lion, the install failed. It stated that the hard drive was damaged. I ran disk utilities and the option to repair is not avalible. Prior to the install there was not a problem. I unfortantly do not have a back up to restore from.  Do any of you fine Apple supporters have any suggestions?

Emergency recovery of your data on your internal drive/SSD.
Can you boot in normal or Safe Boot mode (Boot Command-R)?
If so do so and run a Time Machine backup.
If you can’t run Time Machine, proceed below.
You will need a blank disk or a disk that you are willing to erase (a lose the data on it).
If you do not have one it is time to purchase one larger than your internal drive/SSD.
At this point your goal is to recover as much data as you can onto an external disk.
First, disconnect all unneeded peripheral equipment, including external drives.
(Use an external wired keyboard and mouse if necessary.)
    A)          Try to boot in normal mode (just press the power key).
If that won't work try to boot in Safe Mode.
                        • Press the power button and as you hear the bong, then hold down the Shift key.
If it does not work either way jump to B.
If it booted, from the Finder > Go > Utilities > Disk Utility, jump to C
(formatting the emergency drive) and come back to here.
              Go > Computer.
Double click on the system disk and then on the Users folder.
Drag your named user folder to to the recovery disk.
If that does not work double click on the named user folder
and try dragging each folder individually to the recovery disk.
Repeat for other users if there are any (logging into their accounts or an admin account).
If this works you have recovered your personal data.
    B)          Boot the recovery partition.
              • Press the power button and as you hear the bong, then hold down the Command and R keys.
If that won't work jump to E.
Once booted, click on Disk Utility.
    C)          To format (and erase) the destination recovery disk:
Plug in the drive you are about to erase.
Select the volume that is NOT your system disk.
              Click on Partition.
Pull down under Partition Layout to 1 Partition.
              Click on Options…
              Select GUID Partition Table.
              Name: Emergency Backup
Format: Select Mac OS Extended (journaled)
              Click Apply.
              Click Partition.
    D)          Drag and drop the named system disk to Source:
Drag an drop Emergency Backup to Destination:
              (Do not reverse these.)
Click Restore (the lower Restore button).
    E)          Seek expert help to test/replace the internal disk.
If it is an SSD then trash it.  DiskWarrior recovery from damaged SSDs is futile.
Save the ailing disk.  You might be able to recover data on it
buy placing it in an external enclosure and mounting it from a healthy machine
then using the Finder and/or DiskWarrior.
              http://www.alsoft.com/diskwarrior/
    F) Once your system is healthy again be sure to maintain two reasonably current backups.

  • Running an SQL Server Agent Job to execute a package but the job FAILS on Connections

I have created a package which basically imports data from one database to another, The database where it collects the data from the job is failing on connecting reporting the following message:
Source: ****** Connection manager "Source - *****"     Description: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR.  An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E4D.  An OLE DB record is available.  Source: "Microsoft
OLE DB Provider for SQL Server"  Hresult: 0x80040E4D  Description: "Login failed for user '*ConnectionONE*'.".  End Error  Error: 2015-02-18 11:36:04.94     Code: 0xC020801C
Source: Data Flow Task Get Revenue Data [1]     Description: SSIS Error Code DTS_E_CANNOTACQUIRECONNECTIONFROMCONNECTIONMANAGER.  The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "Source - *****" failed with error
    code 0xC0202009.
The package runs fine if executed within the package but fails from the SQL Agent Job.
NB * is to hide confidential data. *ConnectionONE* is the database which the package is attempting to get data from.
Completely puzzled on what to do as i have tried reading other forumns but they dont seem to be helping.
Any Help would be great thankyou!

That is because package is set to "EncryptSensitiveWithUserKey". Please change that to "EncryptSensitiveWithPassword" and the provide password to protect sensitive data.

  • Is issueing multiple IBWAITs the best way to incorporate max time?

My application is given a max-time parameter that tells how long it should wait to recieve data from my instrument after requesting data. The max-time can be anywhere from 2 seconds to 480 seconds.
Currently I send an IBWAIT (TIMO|ERR|SRQI). If SRQI then I send IBRSP to the instrument. I don't feel comfortable changing the GPIB time-out time. Is it possible to put the IBWAIT command in a 'while' loop and compare time from when issued and when finished, and issue another IBWAIT if TIMO was returned on the first IBWAIT? Or, is there a better way to do this?
    Thank you for any help.

    Hi Scott,
I was in contact weeks ago about a pb with gpibintctrl under linux RH 8.0 with beta 2.3.
I have downloaded 2.5 as U suggested it, and install it in place of 2.3

  • E2E BI HOUSEKEEPING Job failing due to timeout

    Hi Folks,
Reviewing our Solman system I found that some tables are getting really large, I found SMD_HASH_TABLE is over 71GB compressed. I found the note 1958979 - Solution Manager - Tablespace increase which in turn directs you to the attached document of the note 1480588 - ST: E2E Diagnostics - BI Housekeeping - Information.
Per the document, I executed TAANA transaction and ran analysis on the table and got the following data,
Per the next steps, I added the following entry in the table E2E_BI_DELETE.
the next run of the job, I got an ABAP dump with timeout.
Looks like while selecting the data for deletion, it timed out.
Has someone faced this issue and can suggest ways I can run this outside of this job one time to clean up this table. I believe the subsequent runs will be ok as long as the housekeeping job is run regularly.
    regards
    Yogesh

    Hello Yogesh,
I experience exactly the same issue. Can you share the solution if you resolved this?
    Thank you,
    Paul.

  • The lcd screen of my 15-inch Macbook Pro (mid 2009) is separating from the case. The glue failed due to the heat.  How can I get Apple to fix this factory flaw?

The heat vented from the back of the laptop caused the glue to fail and now the screen is separating from back of the lcd case near the hinges. I know for a fact that this issue is known by Apple as I have seen the issue reported at least a dozen times.  This laptop was considerably more expensive than any comparable laptop at the time I bought it. I bought it believing that I was buying a quality product from a quality company.   I've owned many laptops and I have never seen anything like this.  My laptop is out of warranty but this is really besides the point.  This is clearly a factory defect that Apple should remedy.  What do I need to do to get Apple to fix this design flaw?

    Ask Apple.
We're just regular users here, nobody from the company shows up except for the invisible moderator who purges your posts, threads or self. And if any employee is around, the lawyers probably prevent them from identifying themselves.
