The Organizer woll not work

I can't open the organizer in Photoshop Elements 10 goes stright to the edit.
I am running Windows 8
Can someone plese help me

I think you have set to always launch Editor from Welcome Screen.
Do you see Welcome Screen when you launch the software? If not, then it is surely the case.
To change the preference, launch Welcome Screen from the Home button present on top of the Editor window. It will launch Welcome Screen. Now Click on Settings button, and change the option according to you.

    What all Adobe applications are installed on your machine?
    Try launching the Editor from its installation location:
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 8.0\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
    Does it launch fine from there?
    If yes, then as a workaround, you can simply create a shortcut of this .exe on desktop by right click and choosing the option of Send To -> Desktop (create shortcut).

  • The Organizer does not support the color space in the file

    I just purchased and installed PSE 8 as an upgrade to PSE 6.  My catalog correctly shows all of my existing images.  However, when I try to import photos into the Organizer, I get a message that nothing was imported.  The reason given is that "The Organizer does not support the color space in the file."  This happens with photos taken on my iPhone as well as those from my Canon PowerShot A1100 IS.  Any suggestions?

    It turns out that this problem went away after the program crashed.  Everything seems to be working well now.

    I now am able to open the old catalog again!! I tried now several times with the new shortcut.
    Thank you very much indeed for ALL YOUR EFFORT and patients with me.
    You suggest now I should click on the repair button. When I do so, the catalog will be overwritten, or I can choose not to overwrite and than the catalog will be twice as big. So I decided not to click on the repair button. When I see afterwards that some functions do not work anymore, I allways can use the repair button. As far as I can see now nothing is lost.. )
    As far as I understood it is only possible to repair with a backup. Happily I made that allways, but I am afraid to use it, for the reason above.
    When I have more time to spare, I will look for all the foto's from the apps of my cellphone and delete them.
    Now I can finish my fotowork, what I had started before, and make Photoshop Elements again the main fotoprogram on my desktop.

    I'm keen to know if you get a response to this.  I've been running Elements 12 for a year now, and suddenly my Editor is not working.  I'm running Windows 8.1 and just get a message that says "The Editor is not working".    Not very helpful.

    I have Elements 13 since 09/2014 but I did not really work with it. Nevertheless, I cannot open the organizer, because there is always the failure- report
    "Organizer does not work.......bla, bla". Searching for a solution does not bring anything.
    Is this a well known problem? Do you have any solutions?

    Hi,
    Sadly, there isn't just one cause of this type of failure so you need to do some troubleshooting. It is usually caused by a problem with the catalog especially if it contains videos as well as stills.
    Which operating system you are running on?
    I would first try to repair and optimize your catalog.
    Load the organizer while holding down the shift key - that should open the Catalog Manager.
    Select you current catalog and click on the Repair button
    When that has finished, click on the Optimize button
    When that is done, click on the Cancel button to close the Catalog Manage

    I just purchased and installed PSE 12 on my MAC HD its a 3.2 GHz Intelcore i3..... The editor works but the organizer does not?! I have updated my mac and adobe reader. What else do I do? Editor is useless without the organizer because it wont save any of my work.

    If you use the same profile folder with places.sqlite with both versions then you shouldn't do that. It is quite possible that the 4.0 beta versions update places.sqlite and that using that updated file with an older version has corrupted places.sqlite.<br />
    You should always use separate profiles when testing other (beta) versions.

    You can try a validation check of places.sqlite.

    I have Windows 8.1 installed and I am using the test version of Photoshop 12 and Premiere Elements 12.
    Whenever I try to change something in the Properties of the Organizer I get to the message Organizer
    is not working any longer and will be closed. Is this because I am using the test version ??

      After making a search click the show all button - to start a new search.
    Two stars and lower will give you all photos tagged with one and two stars
    To find items which are unrated - click the menu Find à By Details (Metadata)
    Set the criterion to zero.

    Are you 100% positive you are connected?  Head to Settings - Wi-Fi and tap the > next to the network you are connected to?  What is listed for an IP address?  If it's in the 169.x.x.x range, it means your iPod did not properly receive a valid IP address via DHCP from your modem/router. So the 169.x.x.x address is a self-assigned one.
    This can usually be resolved by a reboot of your router.  You can do this by unplugging it for about 30 seconds.  After it powers back up, try reconnecting it.  It wouldn't hurt to try a reset of your iPod as well.  To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.

  • Satellite U400 - the webcam does not work anymore

    Hello guys here is my sudden probloema!
    About a year ago I purchased a laptop
    TOSHIBA - Satellite U400
    with s.o. WinVista 32bit and with integrated webcam chicony etc. ....
    For a year, everything worked correctly, but for some days now, the webcam does not work anymore.
    As soon as I try to open it, a message of management software cam that says "Webcam driver open fail, please restart or computer room"
    I tried to do it all: aggioronato and downloaded the drivers from toshiba, uninstalled the program and re installed the webcam ....! updated bios notebook ....! useless!
    the strange thing .. well that going into device manager ... the webcam is not there ....! but if the launch seems to open just then check quell caz ... Warning!!

    Are you familiar and comfortable with LINUX LIVE bootable discs to load an alternative operating system with unobtrusive but extensive Toshiba device support so you can determine if your webcam hardware is ruined or if the problem is software and possibly solved reinstalling Windows ?
    At this point, you're pondering less time consuming but more expensive choices such as buying another web cam, or another computer and you might be temporarily borrowing someone else's web cam / using a non preferred spare web cam that isn't optimal for your needs.
    Continuously downloading software, registry cleaners, and repeatedly reinstalling drivers will eventually ruin your Windows installation and consume more time than you've wasted so far and still doesn't guarantee to fix your malfunction.

    Hello. I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.
