The screen is frozen! Help!

I plugged my ipod into my computer, and it didn't come up on itunes. So I unplugged it, and when I did, the screen froze on my ipod. The backlight has been on the whole time. It is in hold, but the lock is not showing up on the screen. On the battery, it shows the lightning bolt, but my ipod is not plugged into anything. The buttons are all frozen, I really need help! Please answer.
