The successor activity begins on the same date as the predecessor finishes.

How do I extend the working hours for each activity. I am currently encountering this problem.
My calender is set as 8 hours day, 0800hr - 1700 my activity are as follow -
Activity ID     Activity Name               Start      Finish
A1020     1     16-May-12 08:00     16-May-12 17:00
A1010     2     17-May-12 08:00     17-May-12 17:00
A1000     3     18-May-12 08:00     18-May-12 17:00
But when I change the calender to a 10 hour work day, it becomes
Activity ID     Activity Name          Start     Finish
A1030     1     16-May-12 08:00     16-May-12 17:00
A1040     2     16-May-12 17:00     17-May-12 15:00
A1050     3     17-May-12 15:00     18-May-12 12:00
Is there anyone to change is such that my all my activity starts at 0800hr and finishes at 1900hr (10hour work day)?
I have changed my settings in 'Admin Preference' ->'Time Period' ->'Hours per Time Period' to 10 hours/day and selected the "Use assigned calender to specify the number of work hours for each time period". But its still the same.

Simply change your "Original Duration" from 8 hours to 10 hours. If it is a lot of activities, perform a global change that says: If(Original Duration = 8h) Then(Original Duration = 10h), or if you prefer Then(Original Duration = Original Duration + 8h)

  • Trigger problem -- can't insert the same data into audit table

    Sir/Madam,
    I'm trying to use insert trigger with a 'long raw' datatype data for my audit purpose. Each time, the data of original table can be inserted correctly. While the trigger for audit table in which it contains almost the same data as original would failed. The error messages are some thing like following:
    java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01461: can bind a LONG value only for insert into a LONG column
    ORA-06512: at "CORPSEC.TI_ARCHIVE_PDF", line 9
    ORA-04088: error during execution of trigger 'CORPSEC.TI_ARCHIVE_PDF'
    If the column with 'long raw' datatype is taken out, then there is no error at all. I'm using Oracle 8i 8.1.6 for Windows NT and suspect there is bug in PL/SQL execution.
    The following are SQL text for the trigger:
    CREATE OR REPLACE TRIGGER "CORPSEC"."TI_ARCHIVE_PDF" AFTER INSERT ON "ARCHIVE_PDF" FOR EACH ROW DECLARE
    LOG_SEQ_NO NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT AUDIT_SEQ.NEXTVAL INTO LOG_SEQ_NO FROM DUAL
    insert into ad_archive_pdf (DOC_TITLE,PDF_FILENAME,CONTENT,DOC_DESC,AUDIT_REF_NO,AUDIT_DATE,AUDIT_MODE,AUDIT_BY)
    values (:new.DOC_TITLE,:new.PDF_FILENAME,:new.CONTENT,:new.DOC_DESC,LOG_SEQ_NO,sysdate,'I',:new.created_by);
    END;
    Any help on this. Thank in advance.
    Best regards,
    Ruijie

  • When ever  enter the date start date up to next year same date between the days divided into 8 parts

    when ever  enter the date start date up to next year same date between the days divided into 8 parts
    Q1.1 (YYYY) = 1st half of Quarter 1 for year YYYY
    Q1.2 (YYYY) = 2nd half of Quarter1 for year YYYY
    Q2.1 (YYYY) = 1st half of Quarter 2 for year YYYY
    Q2.2 (YYYY) = 2nd half of Quarter 2 for year YYYY
    Q3.1 (YYYY) = 1st half of Quarter 3 for year YYYY
    Q3.2 (YYYY) = 2nd half of QuarterQ3 for year YYYY
    Q4.1 (YYYY) = 1st half of Quarter 4 for year YYYY
    Q4.2 (YYYY) = 2nd half of Quarter 4 for year YYYY
    Here YYYY depicts the year.
    e.g. Q1.2 (2014) depicts the 2nd half of Quarter 1 for year 2014.
    The description of these values are explained below.
    The table below provides the description about each value:
    Quarter     Quarter Range      Start Date
    Q1.1      1 Jan - 15 Feb         1st  Jan
    Q1.2      16 Feb-31 Mar         16th Feb
    Q2.1      1 Apr- 15 May          1st Apr
    Q2.2      16 May-30 June       16th May
    Q3.1      1 Jul-15 Aug             1th Jul
    Q3.2      16 Aug -30 Sep       16th Aug
    Q4.1      1 Oct -15 Nov           1st Oct
    Q4.2      16 Nov – 31 Dec      16th Nov
    The dropdown values in time window needs to be updated as per date entered by the user in the Audit Plan start date and
    should display the next four Quarter (each divided in 2 half  i.e. Eight values ) along with the year  from the selected Audit plan start date.
    for eg. If the Plan start date is given as August 10 2013 then the Time window will display the following options:
    Q3.2 (2013)
    Q 4.1 (2013)
    Q 4.2 (2013)
    Q 1.1 (2014)
    Q1.2 (2014)
    Q2.1 (2014)
    Q 2.2 (2014)
    Q 3.1 (2014)
    You can refer to the Table above and look that 10 Aug 2013 falls under the Q3.1 so Time window will display the next next 8 half Quarters ( Total 4 Quarter) till Q 3.1 for the year 2014.

    half_quarters generates the start dates of every half of a quarter, starting with the begin of the first quarter that contains the sample date.
    The next step is to order the dates and to select only those after the sample date.
    The last part formats the output and orders the data.

  • When i try to reload the same data what will happen in my ods?

    Hi all,
    Someone has already loaded the data from flat file into the respective ods.
    for instance:
    customer number customer name cust address
       10001          xav          123
       10002          xac           234
    And this has been loaded by some one else.
    If i am going to load the same data in the ods. will it create 2 entries nor just going to be only one entry.
    i meant will it be like this
    customer number customer name cust address
       10001          xav           123
       10002          xac           234
       10001          xav           123
       10002          xac           234
    nor like this
    customer number customer name cust address
       10001          xav          123
       10002          xac           234.

    Hi,
    If two Records of same key combination is there then over writing will happn in ODS. Within the request overwriting is done in the updation(from change log table to active data table). Within different request overwriting is done during activation(new data table to change log table) Zero record mode is doing this.

  • Error while adding a second template to the same data definition

    Hi,
    I am quite new to XML Publisher. I am developing a report using XML Publisher.
    I have added one template to the Data Definition. When I tried to add another Template(with different name as previous, to the same concurrent program and application) to the same Data Definition I am getting the following error.
    Error: You entered a duplicate template entry. Please change the Name, Code and/or Application and reapply.
    Can anyone help me out solving this problem. I am reaching my deadline. Please suggest me what can be done.
    Regards,
    Sita

    Hi
    Try to change the Template code name also and then check it.
    Thanks

  • CBO generating different plans for the same data in similar Environments

    Hi All
    I have been trying to compare an SQL from 2 different but similar environments build of the same hardware specs .The issue I am facing is environment A, the query executes in less than 2 minutes with plan mostly showing full table scans and hash join whereas in environment B(problematic), it times out after 2 hours with an error of unable to extend table space . The statistics are up to date in both environments for both tables and indexes . System parameters are exactly similar(default oracle for except for multiblock_read_count ).
    Both Environment have same db parameter for db_file_multiblock_read_count(16), optimizer(refer below),hash_area_size (131072),pga_aggregate_target(1G),db_block_size(8192) etc . SREADTIM, MREADTIM, CPUSPEED, MBRC are all null in aux_stats in both environment because workload was never collected i believe.
    Attached is details about the SQL with table stats, SQL and index stats my main concern is CBO generating different plans for the similar data and statistics and same hardware and software specs. Is there any thing else I should consider .I generally see environment B being very slow and always plans tend to nested loops and index scan whereas what we really need is a sensible FTS in many cases. One of the very surprising thing is METER_CONFIG_HEADER below which has just 80 blocks of data is being asked for index scan.

  • Multiple MM schedule lines for the same date

    Hello All Gurus,
    I am facing a problem where the MM schedule lines are divided into various quantites for the same date. For example on 02/11/2010 the total quantity is 120, it is appearing in the below form in ME38:
    02/11/2010 - 40
    02/11/2010 - 40
    02/11/2010 - 40
    Although this is not an error, but my client is not happy with this. Can someone tell me why I am getting this error? Is it because of the rounding value that we maintain in MRP 1 view of material master record? Or is there any other setting that I am missing?
    Please let me  know. I would be very much thankful to you.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Umakanth

    Hi,
    Before changing the setup, note that sometimes it is beneficial to split one demand into multiple delivery schedules. Especially if the demand is bigger than equipment type (container/truck etc.). If you want to manage inbound transportation for such delivery schedules, it is much simpler to do this when each delivery schedule is not bigger than one equipment.

  • Multiple repeating SubForms binding to the same data node

    Having multiple repeating SubForms binding to the same data node : In our documents, many times we need to display information from same table in multiple locations. For example, if document displays information of Insureds on one page and information of drivers on another page, we need to create a LiveCycle document with two SubForms. Each SubForm needs to have a repeating binding to CommonInsured element in XSD.  LiveCycle Designer is not able to handle such case. We cannot have two subforms bound to the same node, ONLY in a case where repeating option is selected for data binding.
    The only way I have found out is the following Javascript
    //Get the data node from XML. You will find the code for this function in //JavaHelperFunctions library.
    // InsuredDataRepeatingSubForm is a second subform.
    //You need to manually add instances to this subform at the
    //runtime and Insured data to each instance.
    var insuArray = JavaHelperFunctions.getInsureds();
        var i=0;
        for( i=0; i<insuArray.length; i++)
           if (i>0)
    var thesubform = this.InsuredDataRepeatingSubForm.instanceManager.addInstance(i);
                  thesubform.InsuredName.rawValue = insuArray[i].fullName.value;
           else
                   this.InsuredDataRepeatingSubForm.InsuredName.rawValue = insuArray[i].fullName.value;
    Is there any way I can achieve directly using bindings since we are trying to minimize javascript that changes the layout of the form?
    Thanks in advance!

    Unfortunately not. I've spent countless hours/days trying to do the same thing. You have to use code. The form consumes all the data it can into the repeating elements until there is none left and it is not reused.
    Here's a function I wrote just for that purpose. Feel free to use it:
    function loadData(source,target){
    target.setInstances(source.count);//set the target's subform instances to match the source's
    for (var a=0;a<source.count;a++){//loop through each subform instance
      var sourceSubform=source.resolveNode(source.name.substr(1)).all.item(a);
      var targetSubform=target.resolveNode(target.name.substr(1)).all.item(a);
      for (var b=0;b<sourceSubform.nodes.length;b++){//loop through the children of each
       if (sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).className=="field" && targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name)!=null)//check for matching fields
        if (typeof(targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name).value.exData)=="undefined" ||
         typeof(targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name).value.exData.body)=="undefined")
         targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name).rawValue=sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).rawValue;
        else
         targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name).value.exData.loadXML(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).value.exData.saveXML(),1,1);
       if (sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).className=="instanceManager" && targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name)!=null)//check for matching subforms
        loadData(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b),targetSubform.resolveNode(sourceSubform.nodes.item(b).name));
    Just make sure the source and target subform hierarchies are identifal, same name and all. It will recurse down the tree and transfer source fields (rich text and plain) to their sister targets.

  • How to prevent multiple users from updating the same data in coherence

    Hi,
    I have a Java Web Application and for data cache am using coherence 3.5. The same data maybe shared by multiple users which maybe in hundreds. Now how do I prevent multiple users from updating the same data in coherence i.e. is there something in coherence that will only allow one user a time to update. If one user is in a process of updating a data in coherence and some other user also tries to update then the second user should get an error.
    Thanks

    I have a question on the same line. How can I restrict someone from updating a cache value when I a process is already working on it. I tried locking the cache key but it does not stop other process to update it , it only does not allow other process to get lock on it.

    can we with ligthroom  have the sofware set up on multiples computer mac and mc and share the same dat base library?

    No, a Lightroom catalog cannot be on a networked drive, and can only be accessed by a single user at a time.

  • Sharing the same data on two macs

    Hello, I have two Macs and would like to keep the same data on each laptop. I don't think iSync is the tool for the job. Can anybody out there advise of an easy affordable method of ensuring both my machines are sharing the same data; itunes, photo's, files, etc.
    Many thanks.

    Get FoldersSynchronizer You can set up a selection of folders and sync them between two Macs.

  • Multiple reads of the same data from Multiprovider by Query (Bex)

    Hello, guys!
    We're having issue with performance of a query built on Multiprivider. During our investigation, we've found out that within one run of a Query, it several times refers to InfoProvider for the same data (see image attached).
    Do you have ideas what can be a reason for multiply reads of the same data from Multipvovider?

    Hello Nikita,
    By "copy of a query" i meant something like this as shown below :
    *Kindly click on the screenshot for a better view.
    1) See the highlighted portions below in the screenshot . See Query 2 highlighted and name of the BEx query highlighted.
    2) See the highlighted portions . See Query 3 highlighted and name of the BEx query highlighted.
    As you can see from the above screenshots i have used the same BEx query 2 times by the name of Query 2 & Query 3 . Infact i have not attached the complete screenhsot . In that i have used it 6 times.
    I have to analyze this a bit in detail but what i am guessing is that when this WEBi is called the single BEx is also called multiple times. And hence it hits the Info Provider multiple times resulting in a decreased performance.
    But this does not mean that this is wrong approach. There are various areas where you can improve for example :
    1) Either improve your BEx query if possible or use aggregates or something like that .
    2) Use the  Query stripping setting in WEBi so that unused dimensions and measures are not pulled resulting in an improved performance. It's switched on by default.

  • I currently have one input but need to run two loops. I cannot get the two while loops to run so that they both pick up the same data, they are both picking up alternate samples. How can I get them to both pick up all of the values?

    The system I am trying to create calculates a number of values based on an input. I need to make the calculations and display the values for an entire production run and for each hour. The only way I know to do this is to create two while loops, one looking at all the values that are received and one looking only at the values for hour long periods.
    Any help would be great.
    Thanks

    Why do you think that you have to have two loops to accomplish this task? Why not use one loop and accumulate the same data into two data sets based on the two sets of criteria?

  • How do I sync 2 devices to the same data?

    Look for a program called "SyncUs".  That's what it's designed to do - sync two calendars, etc. with two devices.
