It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the files sessionstore.js [2] and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
    * Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Open Containing Folder
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.<br />
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).

  • I accidentally deleted the toolbar and command bar and everything that is above the tabs. How do I get it back?

I accidentally deleted everything above the tabs: toolbar, command bar etc. and now I have no idea how to get it back. Can anyone please help me?

The command bar in IE is situated to the right of the tabs. They include the following:- HOME, NO FEEDS DETECTED, READ MAIL, PRINT, PAGE, SAFETY, TOOLS, and ? This command bar is missing in Mozilla Fire Fox. There is a download called VISTA-AERO but it appears to be incompatible in Fire Fox. To me the command bar is useful so I miss it.
The menu bar is totally different to the command bar. That sits to the top left of the screen. It seems to me from the answers that are posted refer to the menu bar. The way that the answers are written are helpful to those that lose the menu bar but is not helpful to the people who are missing the command bar.
I, like the others who miss the command bar would like a solution to obtaining a compatible command bar in Fire Fox please. Any body have any suggestions please.

  • I just upgraded to Firefox4 on my Mac and the tab bar is now at the top of the browser. I want it below the toolbars and the bookmarks tool bar. How do I move it?

I just upgraded to Firefox4 on my Mac (with Snow Leopard)and the tab bar is now at the top of the browser. I want it below the tool bars and the bookmarks tool bar. How do I move it?

Command-click on a toolbar then click on the "Tabs on Top" entry to de-select it.

  • Ipod turns on itself although the app is not active in the toolbar and the screen locked...

    Hey everybody,
I have posted this before, and at first I thought that completely closing the ipo-app did the job, but unfortunately it still keeps happenig, even with the ipod app off, so i'll try once more to find out, please read the following: has everybody noticed this using your iphone: phone is in stand-by, you hit the button to get to the unlock screen and at the top of the display the ipod play bar is displayed as if you iphone is playing a tune and when you wait a couple of seconds it suddenly dissapears without you unlocking your phone or doing anything else? does anybody know what this could be/mean?
    thanks in advance

It means you are double pressing your home button when you are trying to wake your phone and unlock it. The iphone 4's are notorious for doing that. Nothing wrong just a sensitive home button.

  • Ever since I downloaded Firefox my Norton Identity Safe Logins and Cards disappeared from the toolbar and the logins don't autopopulate anymore. How do I get Identity Safe passwords to work again and appear in toolbar?

I have a lot of logon user id's and passwords created in Norton Identity Safe product. They are still there and I can view them in Norton, but they are no longer on my toolbar and no longer work automatically to fill in the website logons they were created for.

  • I added a theme, but it only appears in the toolbar, not the entire screen (new tab page). How can i get the entire theme to show (fullecreen)?

my theme is only showing behind the toolbar (tabs, search bars, etc.) when i go to the "Mozilla Firefox start page", my theme is still only in the toolbar, and the rest of the page is white. My theme is also only showing such small pieces of the theme chosen that most of the time you cant even tell that it is a fox in the corner. Is there a way for me to make my theme appear across the full screen?

ok, since you are saying that my theme is a lightweight theme, are there "heavy weight themes" that would also theme the 'content' areas?

  • Inside the browser, right click on the mouse seems to be disabled. How can I enable the right click button? It works fine on toolbars and tab bar but not inside tabs or windows. I would like to be able to copy and paste and such. Thank you

Right mouse button does not open any menu when clicked inside of tabs or windows. Works properly on the toolbars, in the address line, search bar...etc. but has no action on the page I'm browsing. I purchased a mouse recently and like the old one, the right button works in all other areas of my operating system. I would like to know if there is a setting in firefox that I can change to correct this.

There are also websites that can disable the right-click context menu.
See Tools > Options > Content : JavaScript > Advanced > Allow Scripts to:
[ ] "Disable or replace context menus"

  • How do I disable/remove the toolbar and menus in Acrobat 9.x?

The toolbar and menus are making the files crash in Solaris 11 when magnification is used or a menu item is selected.

I have published my .cptx files to .pdf then the customer opens them with Adobe Reader. I'm hoping I can remove Reader's toolbar and menus from view when Adobe Reader is opened. People keep trying to use the Reader tools to zoom in and out of the training file, which forces the Reader to close.
    Silly customers.

  • How do I restore The mebu bar, navigation toolbar and the address bar?

I simply have no menu bar, navigation toolbar and address bar. I've tried all the usual procedures but I can't get those back.

To restore the menu bar see https://support.mozilla.com/kb/Menu+bar+is+missing
Once the menu bar is back, use the Toolbars entry on the View menu to display other toolbars.

  • On Mac when i enter full screen mode, how do I get bookmarks toolbar to show? I only have the address and tab bars showing!

Im on the latest version of firefox 7.01 on Lion OSX mac.
When i enter full screen mode, how do I get bookmarks toolbar to show? I only have the address and tab bars showing!

hello davinci2, please right-click any bookmark where this is happening, go to ''properties'' and make sure that they are not set up to open in the sidebar.

  • After updating to Firefox 5 on a Windows 7 PC the bookmarks icon won't stay on the toolbar and I can't click it to get a bookmarks column on the left side of the screen, how do I fix it?

There was no bookmarks icon on the toolbar. I used View > Toolbars> customise to put various icons on the toolbar all of which were visible using "customise". On going back to Firefox all the other icons remained visible but the Bookmarks Icon disappeared leaving no means of getting a bookmarks column on the left of the screen when using Firefox.

Check that you still have the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" placed on the Bookmarks Toolbar<br />
If the menu bar is hidden then press F10 or hold down the Alt key, that should make the "Menu Bar" appear
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout" and check that the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette in the customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
    * If you do not see the "Bookmarks Toolbar items" or other items that are missing in the toolbar palette or on a toolbar then click the "Restore Default Set" button
Open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"

  • I want to remove the yahoo toolbar and the avg toolbar, but how

It take a long time to load firefox. I see a avg tool bar, and also a yahoo tool bar. I would like to remove them.

Firstly you should be able to easily disable them by right clicking on a empty spot on the toolbars and they should appear in the right click popup menu. Deselecting could be enough, but if you are like me and want to remove them completely:
They should be listed as extensions in your add-on manager. '''Tools > Add-ons''' (or Ctrl+Shift+A)
When you find it, there should be a few buttons next to it. If you don't see a button that says "Remove", Restarting Firefox in safe mode could sometimes do the trick.
'''Start > Run, type "firefox -safe-mode" ''' (without the "quotations") '''and hit enter.
If you still cant find any remove button next to those toolbars you want removed, try to find and uninstall them via windows '''Add or Remove Programs''' that you can find in your Control Panel. '''Start > Settings > Controll Panel'''
It could often be a headache trying to removing add-ons and extensions, hopefully it goes smoothly for you this time.

  • Why the Tabbar and the toolbar are so high? What a waste of the space of the screen?

For the new version of the Firefox(29), the height of the tabbar and the addressbar or toolbar is much bigger than before, not mention the new IE11. This is a big waste of the space of the screen, espicially for those who using a small laptop with an 16:9 screen which the height of the screen is not enough already.
So please change this, and try you best to give more screen space for the web content, not your software.

Thanks for you answer. The old GUI also had the issue I mentioned. I don't know why there isn't any configrations for the GUI, let users can change the height of the bars for them own faver, all of the designs are too waste space. Firefox should really start to study the designs of the GUI of IE11.
