    Does anybody have an idea why this error is occuring during an FULL export of the DB, all works well though.
    Should i be increasing a parameter just not to have it reported in alert.log.

    From 10g onwards, there is no need to set the parameter Maxtrans as Oracle automatically puts the number of slots to 255. If you set a value for this for a segment specifically the message as like is shown , is written in the alert log and the value given is ignored.

  • Maxtrans parameter ignored

    I am recieving message "The value(30) of maxtrans parameter ignored" When i run export for particular schema. Please tell me the possible cause of this message. Due to this message i am not able to export the user schema. I am using oracle 10g and i 'm doing export with expdp command.
    Thanks

    Hi,
    it is simple..
    If you search in the docs you will find this paragraph.
    MAXTRANS Parameter
    In earlier releases, the MAXTRANS parameter determined the maximum number of concurrent update transactions allowed for each data block in the segment. This parameter has been deprecated. Oracle now automatically allows up to 255 concurrent update transactions for any data block, depending on the available space in the block.
    So, as it is deprecated it will be ignored.

  • REP-546: Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter

    Hi,
    When i try to invoke my report from IE with paramform=no and i am not passing the parameter LEXXX_ENTXXXX in the URL, i am getting the below error,
    REP-546: Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter LEXXX_ENTXXXX is not among the selectable values.
    but the same report is working fine if i invoke with paramform=yes.
    The Parameter LOV query for the parameter LEXXX_ENTXXXX is ,
    SELECT LGL.CY_LEXXX_ENTXXXX, COM.SHORT_NAME FROM LEXX_ENTXXX LGL, COMXXXX COM
    WHERE LGL.CY_LEXXX_ENTXXXX = COM.COMXXXX_KEY
    UNION SELECT 0, 'ALL' FROM DUAL ORDER BY 2 ASC
    Note: Restrict List to Predetermind Values and Hide First Column check boxes are selected
    Data Type of LEXXX_ENTXXXX is Number and size is 6.
    Please, help me in resolving the above error.
    Thanks in advance
    Thanks & Rgds,
    M T

    The value that you give to parameter LEXXX_ENTXXXX when you are submitting your report on the web is not amoung the values returned by the Parameter List of Values Query , and when the Parameter List of Values Query was created "Restrict List to Predetermined Values" check box was checked.
    In order to solve the proble you can :
    - provide a value to LEXXX_ENTXXXX that is amoung the values returned by
    Parameter List of Values Query
    or
    - uncheck the Restrict List to Predetermined Values" check box of the parameter.

  • What is the values and meaning for parameter TCLAS in functions

    what is the values and meaning for parameter TCLAS in functions like
    HR_INFOTYPE_OPERATION
    regards
    jan

    Hi Jan,
    Good Morning,
    In TCLAS,
    A, B , T will be there.
    A- Master data and time data.
    B- Applicant data.
    T- Shift Schedule.
    So, here we can say the default value will be integrated according to the above ABT.
    Means in the feature ABKRS, if you give the default values for all the three, your payroll area will appear in Master Data and Time data. And in recruitment ( Appicant data ) and work schedules. Means you are getting ingrated to all the three.
    And you can observe the feature PINCH also.
    If you dont want to get integrate with Master data, then dont give the default value under the A- Master date and Time data. And if you want to get integrate with Recruitment , then give the default value under B.
    I think u got the clear idea about TCLAS.
    Dont forget to give the points
    Thanks in Advance

  • Populating the value of Sel Screen Parameter in the Free Characrtistic

    Hi  ,
    The requirement is that we have 2 dates - Touched Date and Created on Date .
    The Touched date is present in the Selection Screen .
    Now we need to use th value entered  for the Touched Date as default value of the created on Date in  the Free Characteristics.
    Please provide inputs on the same .
    Regards
    Edited by: Garima on Dec 10, 2010 4:07 PM

    As you said touched date is present in selection screen, you might be having a manula i/p variable for it. Right?
    Now create a cust exit variable for "created on Date".
    In cmod transaction use the following code to populate values from touched date to created on date.
    when '+Variable name of created on date+'.
        loop at i_t_var_range into lwa_var_rng where vnam = +'variable name of touched date'+.
          lwa_range-low  = lwa_var_rng-low.
          lwa_range-high = lwa_var_rng-high.
          lwa_range-sign = 'I'.
          lwa_range-opt  = 'EQ'.
          append lwa_range to e_t_range.
          clear lwa_range.
        endloop.
    This code u should write inside  if i_step = 2. condition.
    Now the cmod variable of created on date will have the same values of the touched date populated.
    Now u can use the filter as cmod variable of created on date and use created on date in ur free characteristics.
    Hope this helps. Revert back for any queries.

  • Changing the value of a parameter that has been passed into an SSRS 2008 R2 report

    I support 200+ reports that all use stored procedures and have many drill downs with built in URLs.
    I want to do the below to avoid creating a brand new parameter that I will have to add to literally hundreds of places.
    We have what I'll call Param1 that receives a value from the user.  That Param1 is passed to the stored procedure(s) for the report and also embedded in any Action URLs for drill downs to other reports from that report.  All works great.
    Now I have a need to concatenate a string to whatever value they supplied which provides context for the environment in which they are running.  The reason I want to do this instead of creating a new parameter is because I need this in all my reports
    and as stated above I would have to make 100s of changes to make that happen.  If I can figure out a way to concatenate a value to the existing Param1 value I can greatly reduce the number of changes.
    I can't seem to be able to find a way to modify the value on an existing parameter that is passed into the report prior to report execution.
    I get an error when I simply try to concatenate something to the parameter in its Default property.
    I can't find a way to update a parameter value in the Report Code block.  There don't appear to be any methods available on the Parameter Collection to set the value of a parameter.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Nathan

    Create a new parameter. Mark it internal, set it's value by expression to:
    =User!UserId+"MyNewValue"
    and pass it to the proc?

  • Error :Value of restricted LOV parameter not among the selectable values

    Hi,
    I am designing a report which has two layouts. I have a parameter :P_Reason_code which is applicable to only one layout.
    There is a repeating frame in my first layout which should display only if :P_Reason_code value is 'Y'.
    I have wriiten a format trigger for this repeating frame saying the repating frame should return true if :P_Reason_code value= 'Y'.
    else, it should return false meaning it shouldnt display.
    :P_Reason_code is an optional parameter when i run it at the oracle apps front end.
    The problem that i am facing is that when i run the report for the second layout by not providing value for the parameter :P_Reason_code
    , it errors out saying "REP-0788: Warning: The value of restricted LOV parameter P_REASON_CODE is not among the selectable values.'
    I tried creating another user parameter P_REASON_CODE1 and putting a trigger in the After parameter form trigger saying
    if P_REASON_CODE is null then
    P_REASON_CODE1 :='Y';
    P_REASON_CODE := P_REASON_CODE1;
    ELSE
    P_REASON_CODE1 := P_REASON_CODE;
    P_REASON_CODE := P_REASON_CODE;
    END IF;
    But still it doesnt seem to work.
    What could be the issue?
    Can anyone help?

    try setting the default-value for the parameter to Y (or whatever value is in the LoV defined for the parameter).
    Is there a parameterform used for the report. If not remove the LoV from the parameter.

    I have a requirement that i have to call the tcode Va11(inquiry creation) from my program and pass the values for the customer po number and customer po date available in the inquiry creation screen.
    Since whatever require for the first screen of VA11 i can pass the values with using SET parameter ID becoz all the things have the parameter ID .
    Document type ,sales org, dist channel and division are having the parameters ID.
    Now exactly where to put the values for the next screen in the field customer po number and customer po date doesn't have the parameter ID.
    Fields are BSTKD and BSTDK .
    Now  how to pass the values from my module pool program.
    Please give me some solution.
    Suppose i m creating a parameter ID from the program then also it won't get attach to this fields.
    Please give me yours solution as soon as possible.

    hi Manish..
    It the Fields are not assigned with PARAMETER ID then We cannot pass the data using SAP Memory (Set Parameter ID).
    So the Only way u can pass the Data is using

    But the values of the parent program are not being passed to the child program what may be the cause for it?

    rathan,
    Why con't you use
    SUBMIT... [VIA SELECTION-SCREEN]
    [USING SELECTION-SET <var>]
    [WITH <sel> <criterion>]
    [WITH FREE SELECTIONS <freesel>]
    [WITH SELECTION-TABLE <rspar>].
    When you start an executable program, the standard selection screen normally appears, containing the selection criteria and parameters of both the logical database connected to the program and of the program itself (see Direct Execution - Reports). When you start an executable program using SUBMIT, there are various additions that you can use to fill the input fields on the selection screen:
    SUBMIT... [VIA SELECTION-SCREEN]
    [USING SELECTION-SET <var>]
    [WITH <sel> <criterion>]
    [WITH FREE SELECTIONS <freesel>]
    [WITH SELECTION-TABLE <rspar>].
    These options have the following effects:
    VIA SELECTION-SCREEN
    The selection screen of the called executable program (report) appears. If you transfer values to the program using one or more of the other options, the corresponding input fields in the selections screen are filled. The user can change these values. By default, the system does not display a selection screen after SUBMIT.
    USING SELECTION-SET <var>
    This option tells the system to start the called program with the variant <var>.
    WITH <sel> <criterion>
    Use this option to fill individual elements <sel> of the selection screen (selection tables and parameters). Use one of the elements <criterion>:
    <op> <f> [SIGN <s>], for single value selection
    If <sel> is a selection criterion, use <op> to fill the OPTION field, <f> to fill the LOW field, and <s> to fill the SIGN field of the selection table <sel> in the called program.
    If <sel> is a parameter, you can use any operator for <op>. The parameter <sel> is always filled with <f>.
    [NOT] BETWEEN <f1> AND <f2> [SIGN <s>], for interval selection
    <f1> is transferred into the LOW field, <f2> into the HIGH field, and <s> into the SIGN field of the selection table <sel> in the called program. If you omit the NOT option, the system places the value BT into the OPTION field; if you use NOT, the system fills OPTION with NB.
    IN <seltab>, transferring a selection table
    This addition fills the selection table <sel> in the called program with the values of the table <seltab> in the calling program. Table <seltab> must have the structure of a selection table. Use the RANGES statement to create selection tables.
    WITH FREE SELECTION <freesel>, user dialog for dynamic selections
    To use this option, the called program must be connected to a logical database that supports dynamic selections. In the calling program, use the function modules FREE_SELECTIONS_INIT and FREE_SELECTIONS_DIALOG. They allow the user to enter dynamic selections on a selection screen. One export parameter of these function modules has structure RSDS_TEXPR from the RSDS type group. Transfer the values of this export parameter by means of the internal table <freesel> of the same structure to the called report.
    WITH SELECTION-TABLE <rspar>, dynamic transfer of values
    You need an internal table <rspar> with the Dictionary structure RSPARAMS. The table then consists of the following six fields:
    SELNAME (type C, length 8) for the name of the selection criterion or parameter
    KIND (type C, length 1) for the selection type (S for selection criterion, P for parameter)
    SIGN, OPTION, LOW, HIGH as in a normal selection table, except that LOW and HIGH both have type C and length 45.
    This table can be filled dynamically in the calling program with all of the required values for the selection screen of the called program. If the name of a selection criterion appears more than once, the system creates a multiple-line selection table for that criterion in the called program. If the name of a parameter appears more than once, the system uses the last value. Note that LOW and HIGH have type C, so that the system executes type conversions to the criteria of the called program. This is important for date fields, for example. Before your program is used in a live context, you should check it using the VIA SELECTION-SCREEN addition.
    Except for WITH SELECTION-TABLE, you can use any of the above options several times and in any combination within a SUBMIT statement. In particular, you can use the WITH <sel> option several times for one single criterion <sel>. In the called program, the system appends the corresponding lines to the selection tables used. For parameters, it uses the last value specified. The only combination possible for the WITH SELECTION-TABLE option is USING SELECTION-SET.
    If the input fields on the selection screen are linked to SPA/GPA parameters, you can also use this technique to pass values to the selection screen (see Passing Data Between Programs).
    The following executable program (report) creates a selection screen containing the parameter PARAMET and the selection criterion SELECTO:
    REPORT  demo_program_submit_rep1.
    DATA number TYPE i.
    PARAMETERS      paramet(14) TYPE c.
    SELECT-OPTIONS  selecto FOR number.
    The program DEMO_PROGRAM_SUBMIT_REP1 is called by the following program using various parameters:

  • Set the value of a shared secret in a custom auth class

    Hello All,
    We are trying to use a custom authentication class to gain
    additional parameter to pass along in a SAML assertion to a third party
    vendor. We have successfully added the new custom auth class, but we
    are unable to determine how to assign the value of this new parameter to
    anything that is accessible in the creation of the SAML profile.
    The first idea was to use a shared secret. Although we have been able
    to create the shared secret, it does not have any value assigned.
    Here's the code used based on the code used by the PwLookupLogin class
    in the ba-idp-auth.jar file:
    private void setUserTAG(String paramString) {
    SSSecret localSSSecret = new SSSecret();
    localSSSecret.setName(new SSName("tag_van"));
    SSSecretEntry localSSSecretEntry = new SSSecretEntry("tag_van",
    paramString);
    localSSSecret.addSecretEntry(localSSSecretEntry);
    addCredential(WSCQSSToken.SS_SecretName, localSSSecretEntry);
    The second idea was to make use of the "CustomizableStringOne" found in
    a posting in this forum on how to extend a X.509 auth class:
    http://forums.novell.com/novell-deve....html#poststop
    The code we have tried follows:
    private void setUserSSN(String paramString) {
    // Makes use of the "Customizable String One [Custom Profile]"
    try
    // Customizable attribute 1 is the one we use to contain
    customer data to send,
    // but this can change to another if necessary
    WSCMOPToken token =
    (WSCMOPToken)WSCToken.getToken(WSCMOPToken.OP_CS_C ustomizableString1.getTokenUniqueId());
    // Build object for new data
    WSFModelEntry modelEntry = token.getModelEntry();
    IDSISCommonAttributeElement data =
    modelEntry.getSchemaClassInstance();
    if (data instanceof IDSISLeafAttributeElement) {
    ((IDSISLeafAttributeElement)data).setText(paramStr ing);
    WSCMDataToken dataToken = new WSCMDataToken(token, data);
    dataToken.setAllowOverride(true);
    catch (Exception ex) {}
    Again, the same problem. No value is found when the idpsend CGI tries
    to generate the assertion.
    We are really struggling to understand how this should work. The basic
    problem is this: How can we set a variable within a Java class that can
    be accessed by the idpsend CGI to be used as an attribute within the
    SAML assertion?
    Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    We are using this successfully (the code looks stragely familiar ).
    Don't try to store it in the secret store. you can actually store it in
    the customizable string attributes.
    Try to use this:
    protected int doAuthenticate()
    String attribute1 = m_Request.getParameter("attribute1");
    //Custom Attribute 1
    try
    // Customizable attribute 1 is the one we use to contain customer
    data to send,
    // but this can change to another if necessary
    WSCMOPToken token =
    (WSCMOPToken)WSCToken.getToken(WSCMOPToken.OP_CS_C ustomizableString1.get
    TokenUniqueId());
    // Build object for new data
    WSFModelEntry modelEntry = token.getModelEntry();
    IDSISCommonAttributeElement data =
    modelEntry.getSchemaClassInstance();
    if (data instanceof IDSISLeafAttributeElement)
    ((IDSISLeafAttributeElement)data).setText(attribut e1);
    WSCMDataToken dataToken = new WSCMDataToken(token, data);
    dataToken.setAllowOverride(true);
    catch (Exception ex) {}
    String url =
    m_SessionData.appendIDToUrl(NIDPContext.getNIDPCon text().getBaseUrl() +
    getProperty("Protocol") + "/idpsend?PID=" + getProperty("ITS"));
    m_Request.setAttribute("url",url);
    // Going to top ensures we are not displaying in any frames
    ((NIDPServletContext)NIDPContext.getNIDPContext()) .goJSP(m_Request,m_Res
    ponse,"top");
    return HANDLED_REQUEST;
    The above code is a non-identifying method (it doesn't return a
    'authenticated'). YOu would chain it with another method that
    identifies the user before this is being processed.
    To check if a user is authenticated or not you could use:
    if (!m_Session.isAuthenticated())
    return NOT_AUTHENTICATED;
    Once the method is processed it should have created a
    LibertyUserProfile object within the eDir that comes with the admin
    console.
    You can find these in
    ou=libertyUserProfile0,ou=<clusterobject>,ou=clust er,ou=nids,ou=accessMa
    nagerContainer,o=novell
    Hopefully this helps.
    Cheers,
    Edward
