There are 96 songs on my iPhone and over 200 songs in iTunes that I DID NOT download.

I don't know where these all came from. I have several whole albums by the fray, a few dozen songs from various artists and genres, and about 40 "songs" that have only a 14-16 digit number for a title and no artist/album/genre (For example: 20091024 163343 1 is a "song" that is 15 seconds long). These vary in length from 1 second to 10 minutes. Here's what I've tried so far:
I opened the music app > songs > tried to left swipe and delete the songs one at a time. That didn't work.
I opened itunes on my computer and tried to delete the songs. I can "hide purchase from acount history", but I can't delete the songs from my library.
I can't play the songs that just appeared OR the songs I actually have downloaded (I can't play the music on my phone or on the computer). When I try to play any song on the phone, it just shuffles through album covers on the play screen, but won't actually play any song. I don't know where this music came from or where my music went. I think I just got charged for all this music taking up too much space on the icloud though.
Does anyone know where this could have come from or how to get rid of it? Or how to get my music to play?

Oh, it looks like a friend accidently synced their playlist to my account. Thanks for your help.

Restore from previous backup, be sure use the same iTunes and account you used to store your stuff into your device.

I know it can be frustrating when you are waiting for content to download to your iPhone from the iTunes Store. There are a few steps I would recommend in this situation. Please read over and follow the steps in the attached article.

If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.
If you can't complete the download on your iOS device, you can download it in iTunes on your Mac or PC and then sync it to your iOS device. You can also transfer purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer.

Yes, but the entire track must be listened to - until the track ends.
A song is not marked as played until the song has completed and the iPod starts playing the next song. The song must be played until the very end, and the same with a podcast.

If the app is G-Toolkit and you have a Gmail app on your iPhone, delete the Gmail app. Apparently the G-Tool kit is tied to a Gmail app. From searching the web my impression is that G-Toolkit is not spyware and is from a legitimate company that produces app for several platforms.

This is the iPhone hardware forum. It sounds like you need to upgrade the version of iOS on your device, though. Plug it in and click check for updates in iTunes.

Why are there songs in my iTunes that I did not put there?

I just checked on my iTunes music library and there are songs on it that I did not add? I am the ONLY one that uses this computer. I downloaded one U2 song from YouTube on 8/17/2014 and put it in my iTunes and now I seem to have an entire album from U2 in my library as of 9/6--Other than downloading that one song I did not attempt to do anything associated with U2 (searching for them in iTunes store, etc). It also has the little cloud next to the songs. I am sure I did not purchase anything from iTunes. I still have only 16 cents (as I have for over a year) on my iTunes account and have no credit card on file. Where would they come from?

If they have the cloud icon then they are in the cloud, not on your iPod. You can turn off the showing of iCloud music via Settings > iTunes & App Store > Music (under 'show all' heading) 'off'.
But if you have never bought/downloaded those songs then they shouldn't show in the cloud for streaming/redownloading - the U2 album was an exception, Apple automatically added that to everyone's account whether they wanted it or not. It's your account that shows as being logged in in Settings > iTunes & App Store ?

I need to speak to a person. My bank card has been charged over $500 in fees from Itunes that I did not make. I spoke to someone in India on 7/22 gave them permission to take over my computer and that is what he said.

His name was Amhit something, he said there was over $500 in charges that I did not make since over a year this has been happening. I tried before to address this with apple but I never get a person and the amounts are always small and then on 7/22 I got a larger charge so I called and somehow got Amhit. Amhit changed my apple password to he could get into my account but I didn't know what it was and I have not been able to do anything in itunes since 7/22 but yet today 8/1 there is a $6.39 charge on my bank card. Something is very messed up!!!! Amhit said he would get me a credit and call me the next day...surprise he never called. I NEED HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been charged for a song but ut did not download. I look in my "Purchased" and it is not there to try and download again. When I go into the store and try to download it again it says that I have already bought the song and do I really want to buy it again.

Apple's policy on sales of digital content is that all sales are final. If however you wish to appeal to Apple, select the content which is causing a problem and use the 'Report a problem' button in Your Purchase History on your computer.
You can delete songs from your iTunes library on your mobile device by swiping them and then tapping the delete button that appears.

I had downloaded a app and i hit a inapp purchase that i did not want to buy but it had purchased it and had charged me it did not ask me for my username or password or even to buy it had just gone straight through

To try and stop it happening again, you should be able to turn off in-app purchases on your device via Settings > General > Restrictions > In-App Purchases 'off', and (depending upon what iOS version that you have on the device) you might also be able to set 'Require Password' to 'Immediately' on the Restrictions (the default is a 15 minute period during which it doesn't need to be re-entered)

Just got a new iphone and am syncing it with itunes, but it will not transfer my new music or voice memos. Help?

I just got a new iphone 3GS and was trying to sync it with my itunes information from my old phone. However, I keep getting multiple error messages and after the sync is complete, I find that everything has transferred except my purchased itunes music and voice memos (I record my class lectures). I am not sure what I can do to fix this. Any ideas?

I have a new Iphone 4 and tried iCloud syncing. I now have a white screen and cannot turn the phone off. i did not download iTunes so I cannot perform a restore facility through iTunes. What can I do please?

I have upgraded from a 3gs and first backed up by 3gs through iCloud. I then logged on to iCloud on my new device and it synced my contacts. Has the phone been unlocked officially? Has the phone been jailbroken in the past? If yes, these could be reasons for the behavior of the phone.
