They tend to be more complicated

There was a time when video surveillance was used only in big malls and shopping centers. These days, you can see CCTV’s almost any place you go, from a small shop to homes and religious centers. Thus, they ensure greater public safety at a fraction of the cost.Digital video security camera systems are easy to install. In fact, it takes less than a few minutes to determine the system that's right for you, and have it installed in your home or business. Some government security camera systems take a little longer to install, as they tend to be more complicated, and tend to cover a much larger area. The great thing about digital video is the quality of the signal that is transmitted and recorded. Another great thing is variety of features available with digital video recorders, such as: High resolution Hard Disk Storage, Date/Time or Event or Segment search, built in multiplexer that allows simultaneous recording of multiple security cameras. Both of these factors provide you with a top of the line security camera system for protecting your property.

  • When importing rendered clips from davinci into premiere they look darker and more contrasty.

After importing the graded and rendered clips from davinci into premiere pro cc they look darker and more contrasty. I've checked the exported files from DaVinci and they look totally fine if you play them with any media player, but when I import them in Premiere Pro CC, they appear darker and way more contrasty than I've graded them in Resolve. Anyone have a solution for that?
    Thanks!
    Andrew

This is a long-standing and complicated issue.  To start with, different media players interpret footage differently.  You can hope for the best, but there can be no expectation that footage in one player will look the same in another.  Ridiculous, but true.  The situation is further aggravated by different display cards and different monitors, and no prevailing standards of how color and levels are interpreted.
In your specific case, you need to look at the waveforms, in Resolve and in PPro.  It sounds as if the blacks are being crushed in PPro, which could mean you're monitoring them at 64 in Resolve, but they're being output at 0 or remapped to 0 in PP.   This may also relate to whether you've monitoring with data or video levels in Resolve.
Is there a setting in PPro which covers how values are mapped, as data or video?  I think so, but just can't recall....  Anybody?  Staff?

Thanks for asking for clarification. Appreciated. I did not see you post 8 until after I posted my post 9.
Important that we define the issue as being related to just preview or to preview and export.
    Project Preset....
When you start a new project, a project preset (project settings) need to be set by you or the project. The program
is designed to do that based on the properties of the first video file that you drag to the Timeline. Sometimes the program
does it right, sometimes not. If not, then you set the project preset manually assuring that the description of the project preset
matches your video properties for at least frame size, frame rate, etc. A major function of the project preset is to direct
the program to give you the correct space in the Edit area monitor for editing. If you select a project preset which includes
1920 x 1080 in its description, then the space in the Edit area monitor will reflect that 16:9 format.
If you or the program have set the correct project preset, then, when you drag your video to the Timeline for the first time, there
will be no colored line over its content. That means that you are getting the best possible preview in the monitor. Once you
edit that video, you will get an orange line over it. That is the program telling you that you no longer have the best possible preview
and to get it you Timeline render using the Render button above the Timeline. When that Timeline rendering is complete, the orange
line turns to green. That is the program telling you that you have the best possible preview which will be in effect until you edit the
file again. Then orange to green again.
Right now I would prefer to stay with trying to get your photos to an acceptable preview stage. No matter what the project preset,
these will need Timeline rendering after they are dragged to the Timeline. Several have reported that the use of the DSLR project preset results in sharper images pre and post export. I want to see if any of that can enhance your situation.
Please review and consider and then let me know if I am going in the right direction for the explanations. I will adjust
    my instructions/suggestions accordingly.
    More later.
Thanks again for the follow up.

  • TS1424 I love the info about every single word spelled in a question. I feel great talking to something that has all the answers and none solutions. the more sophisticated  apple gets the more complicated it is. Ok i'm stupid.

What makes apple more complicated to use, the people behind apple now days or the you have to buy your time spent with an apple product. I have been trying for two days to watch a movie I rented in my macbook pro. Oh yes its downloaded allready, its in my rented movies in the mac. I have no rented movies in the icloud. have anything else, but not the movie.
my life was a lot simpler with an apple 2gs.

Rentals will be available on the device from whcih you rented it.
If you rented on a computer, it will only be on that computer, unless you sync it to another device ( you cannot move it to another computer.
Can I play my rental on more than one device?
If you download a rented movie on your computer: You can transfer it to a device such as your Apple TV (1st generation), iPhone, iPad, or iPod if it’s a standard-definition film (movies in HD can only be watched on your computer, iPad, iPhone 4 or later, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV). Once you move the movie from your computer to a device, the movie will disappear from your computer's iTunes library. You can move the movie between devices as many times as you wish during the rental period, but the movie can only exist on one device at a time.
If you download a rented movie on your iPhone 4 or later, iPad, iPod touch (4th generation or later), or Apple TV: It is not transferable to any other device or computer.

  • Do third party replacement tips fit on the apple in ear headphones? I prefer foam tips as they block out much more sound, but I'm not sure if Apple use the standard fitting for headphone tips!?!?!?!

Do third party replacement tips fit on the apple in ear headphones? I prefer foam tips as they block out much more sound, but I'm not sure if Apple use the standard fitting for headphone tips!?!?!?!

Answer found. Please find below an amazon review explicitly mentioning adding third party foam tips. Sounds like they fit and work like a dream:
"As a audio engineer, I own about a dozen different sets of earphones and in-ear 'phones. My favorite, by far, are my sure SE530s. I have some Sennheiser cx400s which are good workhorses, but lack the finesse, clarity and stunning accuracy of the Shures. For convenience, I bought the Apple's, as I wanted something I could use with the phone for calls.
I found the sound to be quite clear and beautifully clean, but like many, no matter how I tried, the stock Apple tips never made a good seal. The seal is absolutely essential to getting bass out of a balanced armature design. For you non-engineers, just trust me that if you don't have a proper seal, you will have no bass.
In my case, I think the trouble had to do with the largest size being a tiny bit too small, and the silicon being too rigid, yet slick, so they left small airgaps and were easy to remove. I tried using some foam tips from a third party, but their large was more of a medium, and never came close to a snug fit.
As an experiment, I dug around in my ear-tips from my Shure's and tried their rubber tips which are about the same size as Apple's large tips, but made of a more pliant and slightly sticky rubber.
OMG, what a transformation. Suddenly the sound blossomed, the bass became rich and well balanced, and the "top-heavy" sound was totally mellowed into a rich, well balanced and incredibly detailed presentation.
Make no mistake, these are the best 'phones under $200 I have ever heard. The bass is deep and warm, very detailed, and totally lacking fuzz or buzz that I can hear in the Sennheiser set. Look at getting tips from a better headphone. The trick is it has to have a soft rubber base that can expand over Apple's slightly larger stub. Some tips, like the Shure foam tips, have a rigid plastic sleave in the tip to keep it's position correct, and these won't expand over the larger Apple posts."

  • More complicated examples of using BRFPlus

    Hello!
Where can I find more complicated examples of using BRFPlus functionality? I need in examples that use expression types like DB query, Step sequence, Search Tree or XSL transformation.

    Hi Alexander,
With NW 7.0 EHP1 BRFplus can be used for rather simple examples. Development is not completed for all features.
You may use Decision Table, Boolean, Range, Constant, Formula.
FYI: There are some demo reports in a package call SFDTDEMO.
However Ruleset and Rule and not really usable in NW 7.0 EHP1. Those features will be made available in NW 7.0 EHP2. For really complex examples you will need them. In NW 7.0 EHP2 there is no limitation anymore. I am comfortable that even complex cases can be supported well.

  • Need help for a more complicated regular expression

    Hi everyone,
I got another more complicated one here.
I need to split  '+0,+0.00000000E+000, -4.76517000E+001,-4.64744200E+001,-6.18140500E+001,-5.93055600E+001' by ',' into an array without '+0,+0.00000000E+000'.
I am using a regular expression as  '[+-]([0-9]+[1-9]+)[E][+]\d' but it failed to, just wondering what is happening there.
     Any idea is well appreciated,
    Thanks,

First, don't bother with regular expressions. Use the function Spreadsheet String to Array with a commas as the delimiter, %f as the format string, a 1D array of floats as the array type. Next, delete the first two elements from the results and you're done.

  • Duplicates in library, which is in album, (more complicated)

So I had 3 massive libraries that I merged into 1 using iPhoto Library Manager. However on my first attempt I neglected to check the option to not import duplicates and replace duplicates in existing albums. I had attempted a second time and was successful, however that library has since been damaged and is more or less un-usable.
So reverting back to my original attempt. I have an album structure that is all set and good to go. However I forgot that there were many duplicates and I'd like to trim down the size of my library. I am aware of duplicate annihilator and would love to find a way (efficient way) to rid myself of the duplicates while not being destructive to the albums and/or being able to re-link the albums to their originals.
I'm thinking that the tools I will be needing to use are Duplicate annihilator and iPhoto Library Manager. I think that it's the method that I can't figure out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If I wasn't dealing with a library in excess of 40,000 photos this wouldn't be too difficult to do manually. Thanks for any suggestions.
    Nathan

There are two apps, actually one app and one Applescript script, for finding and removing duplicate photos from iPhoto. They are:
    Duplicate Annihilator
iPhoto AppleScript to Remove Duplicates - free
The Applescript is a wee bit slower than AH but can do essentially the same thing, identify the duplicates.  Just create two smart albums:  one with Description contains "duplicated" and one with Description contains "original". Then you can compare the two and delete the one you don't want.

What did iTunes Support say when you contacted them ? If you haven't contacted them yet, or it's been more that 24 hours since you contacted them, then you could try contacting them again : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

  • Alternative to Adobe Indesign for more Complicated Data Merges?

Attached is a snapshot of what i currently have going with Adobe Indesign.
Unfortunatly, Indesign has some problems that i have not been able to find a solution to :
1.) When using the " Multiple Record Layout ", it will not populate the rest of the screen if there is an embedded picture in the background.
2.) I prefer a much simpler approach, for instance, designating a certain field as Data derived from Cell " EH3 " in excel for example, instead of relying on the multiple record layout.
3.) The Documents I want to generate are not incognito in regards to Layouts and i want something with more powerful customization and also able to use the Entire Excel File and display data all within one page, without going the multiple record layout route.
That pretty much sums it up, I've included a picture of the templatei've made in indesign, I've made a red circle at the bottom to indicate the part of the document that will not work with a multiple record layout approach, since the data export is basically a mirror of itself all the way down.
Any Suggestions as to what kind of program i should use would be most appreciated or alternative methods of using Indesign.Thank you for your time.

There are third-party programs and plug-ins that do much more than Data Merge, but they usually have a high cost and a more steep learning curve. One that I've used in the past with QuarkXPress is XData from Em Software (they also have one for InDesign called InData, but I haven't used it). They're like Data Merge on steroids. There are others, so Google and see what you can find.

  • SQL Query with a little bit more complicated WHERE clause performance issue

Hello, I have some performance issue in this case:
    Very simplified query:
    SELECT COUNT(*) FROM Items
    WHERE
    ConditionA OR
    ConditionB OR
    ConditionC OR ...
Simply I have to determine how many Items the user has access through some complicated conditions.
When there is a large number of records (100,000+) in the Items table and say ~10 complicated conditions concatenated in WHERE clause, I get the result about 2 seconds in my case. The problem is when very few conditions are met, f.e. when I get only
    10 Items from 100,000.
How can I improve the performace in this "Get my items" case?

  • I downloaded PWD and they said I needed more space and bought it for 9.99 but I can't figure how to put them both together

I downloaded the free app pwd..  then needed to enter more date and had to buy the app pwd for the data.  I can't figure how to have the data entered from the free app to the one I just purchased???

Can you explain in a little more detail what the issue is (and specifically what "pwd app" is)? And more space where?

  • Looping around an arraylist of strings to find matches(more complicated!)

    Help developing an algortim

    Hi,
I have been bashing my head with this for a while, so any help is much appreciated!
    I bascially have ONE arraylist which contains filenames as strings (e.g. file.txt, file1.xml, file2.doc, file2.xml, file2.txt)
The arraylist bascially contains a document name with there associated metadata document names. For example file1.doc (document file), file1.xml (metedata file).
There will be siuations where for example file1.doc may not have an associated file1.xml file with it. And there may be situations where there are 2 documents and only one associated metadata file (e.g. file.doc, file1.txt, file1.xml)
I basiclaly need to loop arond the arraylist identifying only files names that:
    - have an associated metadatafile (once identified put the document name in an arraylist of matches)
-this arraylist cannot contain duplicate documents with an associated file name (e.g. file.doc, file1.txt, file1.xml), if this particualr situations occurs I want to put these filenames in an arraylist of errors.
    Please help! thanks in advance

I'm a little lost as to how
    >(e.g. file.doc, file1.txt, file1.xml)
contains duplicate documents with an associated filename. Either the .txt and .xml are both metadata files, and you are saying that there should never exist two metadata documents of the same name, or else you meant to say
(e.g. file1.doc, file1.txt, file1.xml)in which case you meant that two data files (the .doc and the .txt) with the same name (file1) cannot exist together if there exists a metadata .xml of the same name.
Assuming the latter is true, try something like this: (hot off the grill ;)
    import java.util.*;
    public class Blah {
       public static void main(String[] args) {
          List<String> fileNames = Arrays.asList( new String[] {
