This Document is Locked.  Your permission to view it has expired

I am getting the above message when I open any PDF document irrespective of whether the document has any security or not.
I have removed Acrobat, rebooted machine and re-installed.
Then when I opened the nearly installed (and latest version for the Mac),  I received the message without even opening any document.
Is there some reminent on my machine that Adobe uses that needs to be removed to stop this issue.
ie I currently can not use Acrobat at all at the moment.

When I opened the document in Preview each page was blank and it would not open in PDFPro due to security.
Irrespectively, Acrobat itself would not open and would not open any documents even if unsecured.
What I have done now is use a tool to remove Acrobat and then trawled through all libraries etc for cache etc and removed anything that related to Adobe then did a reinstallation of Acrobat Reader and it now works.
It seems that there must have been something sitting in one of the Adobe Cache that was telling Acrobat that all document did not have the security requirements to operate.
I suspect this was caused by Ansarada (www.ansarada.com.au), which is an electronic data room provider that one of my clients is using to provide security over documents (eg watermarks etc) and between Ansarada and Adobe Reader has left some corruption in cache.
Using Mac OS 10.6.3 and Reader 9.3.0

    I am also facing same issue. In my code I am updating PO lines using Update_PO API. Whenever I am trying to Update 2 Lines on same PO. One get successfully update and for second line getting same error 'This document is locked by another user.'

    SAP HANA One Rev 48 (99 cents/hr for HANA on AWS) was released on Feb 17, 2013. Are you using this SAP HANA One Rev 48? Then the information you provided don't match as you can not use SAP HANA One Rev 48 for 4 months. Our previous version, SAP HANA One Rev 38 was released on Oct 16, 2012. SAP HANA One Rev 38 was not directly upgraded to Rev 48 by SAP HANA team. All of these releases have 1 year permanent license for production use.
    However, you will be able to reset SYSTEM password if you have OS (root) access to your instance. You may follow the last section of the discussion Re: Invalid U/N - PW while connecting HANA Studio 1st time to find how to recover SYSTEM password in any HANA landscape (appliance, cloud, etc.).

  • I need a data transfer from intact hard drive of older macbook that won't boot. Can Apple provide this service even though my one to one membership has expired?

    I need a data transfer from a 2005 Macbook to my new one (2010). I damaged the old laptop and although it wouldn't turn on, when I brought it to the Apple Store they ascertained that the hard drive was still intact. They said I needed to purchase a one to one membership to get a data transfer, which I did, but somehow forgot about it and now it's expired. Is there any way I can still get the data from the old hard drive transferred to my new macbook? Can Apple provide this service even though my one to one membership has expired?

    Go to OWC where you can purchase a suitable enclosure for the drive. You will need an enclosure for a SATA notebook drive. This is assuming the old computer is a MacBook and not an iBook. I make this observation because the first MacBook was released in 2006, not in 2005. If yours is a 2005 model then it's an iBook and uses an ATA interface.
    Install the old drive in the enclosure, connect to your new computer. You can then transfer your data.

    The strange part is that I have never downloaded any CS4 product, DW or other. At first I thought it might be some sort of phishing email, but the links inside definitely go to adobe.com pages.
    Anybody else (who hasn't downloaded a trial) get one of these? Is this some sort of new marketing method?
    I did download and install Spry 1.61 trial into CS3 42 days ago, but no CS4 products. Would that trigger a DW CS4 expiration notice?

    That is very odd Mark, they must have you in there system somewhere, and have got very confused. I did once download the trial, but never got an email.
    Bit confused about the Spry 1.61 trial, whats that then? I thought Spry was free, and hence no trial.

    For someone with a problem. looking for free help from volunteers you have a funny way of showing your gratitude.
    Your problem is simple. you waited for a month to look into this and now your account is cancelled. Only Apple can do anything about this. If you can't see that, if you think volunteers  that are non-Apple employees can help you then you have a long wait ahead.

    I check my account and the status of my subscription to Adobe is 'Activate'.

    Does the error message indicate an error code like I-200? If yes, please refer to the following article on dealing with this issue - http://helpx.adobe.com/muse/kb/unexpected-error-occurred-i-200.html.
    Or if you have recently renewed the subscription, I would suggest allowing it some time (24 hours approx.) for the order status to update at the backend and it should successfully re-activate.

  • Message: Your Server's SSL certificate has expired. - Can no more login

    Hi,
    Since yesterday I can no more login into beehiveOnline via OBEE. Every time I try it the extension goes offline and tells me in a window that "Your Server's SSL certificate has expired.". If I try to relogin it takes some seconds but the window and message comes up again and again.
    It was working perfectly during the previous weeks, no issues at all. What do I have to do to get it solved?

  • Suddenly this morning, I was told my trial to Acrobat has expired.

    After working on my PC for several hours this morning, including using Acrobat to covert files, I received a notice that the trial for Design & Web Premium has expired and that I needed to login to resolve the license. When I attempted to login, I was told my password was invalid. I requested a password reset, but never received the updated password. I next logged into the Adobe site (using the "invalid" password that had been rejected!), and tried to find a solution. I saw a post from someone who has the Master Collection and received the same message four days ago, with no resolution.
    So, here's the crux of my concern: Why, if I have a valid software license for Web & Design Premium, am I told my trial has expired? I'm looking at the DVD that we purchased through CDW and registered with Adobe. At this point, I am unable to access Acrobat and can't complete several critical tasks.

    Epilogue
    Not sure how it happened, but yesterday afternoon I received an Acrobat update notice. I updated the software and rebooted, but was then presented with the same dialogue box that my free trial period had ended and I needed to license the software. This time when I clicked the "License" button, I was presented with a dialogue box that asked for my serial number. Since I purchased the software more than two years ago, I was hard pressed to locate the number! In reading through the docs, I found a link for volume licensing, which was the method we used to make the purchase (we are a non-profit organization). I logged in there, secured the proper serial number (which I have now archived in two places!), and entered it. Once it processed the request, Acrobat returned to it's normal state and I am now able to use Acrobat again.
    Summary
    I'm still a bit surprised how many hoops one has to jump through to gain access to software for which we have a proper license. I would imagine others have experience similar frustrations in trying to resolve this issue and think it would be helpful to be able to communicate with someone at Adobe at some point in the process (after initial search of the knowledge base/community produces no results.

    We have a set of documents that we are not able to access
    lately due to these 2 errors:
    "This document is locked. Your permissions to view it has
    expired. If you want to open this document, contact the person who
    sent it to you and ask them to extend the expiry date."
    and
    "This computer must be connected to the network in order to
    open this document. Connect this computer to the network and then
    try opening the document again."
    The administrator of the document has since looked in their
    account to make sure the documents are still valid, in which they
    are. We are however, not sure if the administrator needs to upgrade
    their personal account as they have been using the free account,
    and has not been notified that the account is no longer
    valid.

    The administrator has removed my email address and re-added

    We are accessing the document through a link embedded in the
    protected file, not logging onto the site. I've also tried logging
    onto the site, and then double-clicking on the link provided in the
    document. Both ways do not work. I'm using Mac OS 10.5.6 and have
    used Acrobat Reader 8 & 9 as well as Acrobat Pro 8.

    the Get-OfficeWebAppsHost cmdlet. To add a domain to the Allow List, use the
    New-OfficeWebAppsHost cmdlet.
    I have not added any domains to the Allow list so this did not help either. Should I add the domain?

    Some websites require a special client certficate for access. If you don't have that certficate, you'll have to contact the site operator to find out how to get one.
    Sometimes the problem is caused by a web server that is configured to request an optional client certificate. Safari treats the request as mandatory. In that case, other browsers such as Firefox and Chrome may be able to connect to the site, because they ignore the request.
    The first time you were prompted for a certificate, you may have clicked through a dialog that requested access to the Apple certificate in your keychain that is used to secure the iMessage service. In that case, you may be able to regain access to the site in Safari by doing as follows.
    Back up all data.
    Double-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
    Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
