Time stamp a Smartview Retrieve

Hello!
Does anyone have something that puts a time stamp on a excel sheet upon retrieval/refresh of a sheet?
thanks,
Brent

You might try adding a macro: McGimpsey & Associates : Excel : Time and date stamps
You can try using a substitution variable as well if they can be set to CurDate and CurTime read from your system.

  • How to retrieve media start time stamp on video clips

    Premiere Pro CS4 loses the time stamps on all my video clips in the project.  Is there a way to retrieve that data.
    This usually happens after a crash or freeze up and one has to revert to an auto-saved ppj file.

    Thanks for replying.
    Timestamp only means time information for media start.
    The time information was there for media start on all the clips as they
    were captured but when I had to restart the project and the clips were
    imported into a different project they disappeared.

  • Database retrieving records based on time stamp

    Hello all,
                           I just  want to know that SQL query to retrieve specific time stamp record from the database using SQL server will work when same query is executed using SQL execute query.vi in labview.
                          Its not working actually.
    My query is,
    SELECT * FROM table name where col_name between 'date/time 2012-12-13 10:48:00' and 'date/time 2012-12-13 10:55:00'
    I am using mdb file. This date/time 2012-12-13 10:48:00 is first time stamp to be searched.. This is string comes from DB Tools format datetime string.vi

    A MS-Access query of a datetime field needs to be delimited wth the # (number sign / hash mark)
    Something like:
    SELECT * FROM table name where col_name between #2012-12-13 10:48:00# and #2012-12-13 10:55:00#
    I've never used the between condition; I don't know if it will work reliably with Access. I would normally use  >= and <= comparisons
    Important: the # is specific to Access. We converted from Access to SQL Server in the last year and had to find all the places that used the "#' in our LabVIEW code and replace with a single quote.
    Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T
    If you don't hate time zones, you're not a real programmer.

  • Saving a Time Stamp In Memory and retrieving it

    I would like to store the time stamp in Flash memory. The memory is 8 bit. So how would I store it in byte format to the memory and retrieve the memory, then put it back together to get the time stamp back...
    thanks

    What best you can do is consider some reference time and store the difference i.e. no of seconds. At the time of retrieval also you can do the same.

  • Folders last modified time stamp are not updated in Windows 7

    After changing any .cpp file in Visual Studio, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
    IS NOT updated. What's happening ?
    However when I change a Word (.docx) file, the last modified time stamp for the file's folder
    IS updated ! How come ?

    Hi,
    If you thought this issue gets worse and if you have already set NtfsDisblesLastAccessUpdate to 0, then please revoke it to 1.
    From the above Blog we can see that in Windows 7, the "Last Modified" field on log files is not updated when a program attempts to open the file or the utility is stopped, this is a design change to NTFS , becase we cache the metadata for
    folder contents and do not refresh it until a handle is closed on an open file or an explicit call is made to retrieve the properties of an individual file.
    Per your current issue that even if you closed these Vistual Studio files, the timestamp still didn't update. Please try the following and check whether any of them work:
    - open the file in a second program
    - view the proprties of the file
    - "dir <filename>" at a command prompt
    In addition, if you edit these Vistual Studio files with Notepad(Before doing that, please close all the programs include Vistual Studio) and try to reproduce the issue, does the issue still occur?

  • How do you make a time stamp update?

    Hi, thanks in advance...
    I am programming an interface to a scale... it retrieves a weight, time stamps it, enters a comment, then sends this string to a spreadsheet.
    My problem: the time stamp never updates unless I right click it > select "data operations" > select "set time to now". Then it's stuck there and never updates while the program is running. It just keeps on stamping 8:15 (or whatever time it is updated to) all day long.
    Am I using the wrong VI here or is there something else I have to select to get it to work?
    Thanks a million...

    Try using the 'Get Date/Time String' or 'Get Date/Time Seconds' vi to obtain your timestamp. Which one you use depends on how you wish to format your timestamp. Im not sure which vi you are currently using, but it looks to me like you are either using a timestamp constant (which wont update in your loop) or control (which you need to manually update from the front panel).
    Hope this helps.

  • Add Date/Time Stamp to Timecode Effect

    The Timecode effect of CS5 Premiere Pro is a very useful feature. However, it is missing a Date/Time Stamp. I would encourage everyone to submit a feature request for this. I have enclosed one I submitted. You can cut and paste it into the Feature Request Submission Form.
    Feature Request Submission Form
    Feature Request: Add Date / Time Stamp to Timecode Effect
    The Timecode effect of CS5 Premiere Pro is a very useful feature. However, the Timecode effect is missing the ability to also display the Date/Time Stamp from Premiere captured video. This is a very important feature to include. Many videographers are archiving their miniDV tapes as AVI files since disk prices have become affordable. When I retrieve archived AVI files, I often need to look at the Date/Time Stamp, but unfortunately, Premiere does not offer that ability.
    I would encourage you to add Date/Time Stamp capability to the Timecode effect so timecode, date, and time could be displayed all at once, or selectively picked via checkboxes.
    Others in the Premiere forum have requested this capability.
    Date / Time Stamp - Premiere CS4
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/2564766
    Hopefully, you could add this as an update to CS5. And hopefully, as soon as possible. Thanks

    I am fairly new to Adobe CS6 however I have to totally disagree with some of the replies here on this subject. The package cost me well over £1200 and I expect a say in improving it along the way if I am to progress on to CS Cloud. The suggestion that engineers could spend their time elswere is total rubbish,its what they are well paid for..to listen to consumers suggestions and act on them (I am paying for their time).  I would for one love to see the simple add in plug where the original date/time code could be added and burned into the video timeline. It is obvously not something needed by all but for some it could be essential. For my work I entirely rely on the original date/time code to be visible and burned in. My work is editing surveilance video and I also have to pixellate all faces of young persons so the addition of a date and time code plug in is something I would like to see in After Effects and Premier. Adobe add hundreds of filters/plug-ins that nobody in the world are likely to ever see or use or even asked for, so I cant't see why it would be a big task for them to include it in CS6 or Cloud for the future, especially as many ask for it.
    On the suggestion of DVMPro, yes this is an excellent package which I already use along with vATS (which is quicker),  however the big downside for both these programmes is they do not combine the clips so if I put in 60. mts clips I will get  out 60 clips of what ever format I picked (limited to AVI/Wmv/AVCHD). You would then need combine and re-render the clips or work along the timeline with lots of clips (obviously not in AE as it wont combine clips along one layer....at least I cant see a way to do it (no doubt will be flamed on that one)
    Sony vegas 11 also does not have the capability neither to add and burn in the original timecode however there is an excellent and tiny .dll third party extension called SVDTS that will add the original time/date/seconds to the timeline and burn in to the video. My point on this comparison is that it would not take a lot of time and work for a capable Adobe enineer to develop and implement such a plug in.
    A crude way and free to actually achieve this is to use Freemake Video Converter, add all  your .mts (or what ever format they are so long as its original), turn on the Subtitle 1 option for each clip (no batch turn on Im afraid) and chose to join the clips for output to what ever file format you choose. The original timecode and date will be on your output video clip, not as pretty as DVMPro or vAts but is there and accurate.

  • Time Stamp via Custom Function

    This is such a basic concept for a custom function that I am assuming someone out there has done it already. I have never created a custom function for Essbase, though I have programmed in a variety of languages and I'm assuming getting the current date/time in Java is not exactly rocket science. I have reviewed the docs for creating and registering custom functions and that also appears relatively simple, especially with the examples available.<BR><BR>What I want is a function that returns a Double in the form of a Date/Time that I can retrieve into Excel and display as a Date/Time. We want a simpler, more effective way of time stamping the running of calculations, more effective than combing through the app logs when we need to know if/when a calc ran a week or a month or two ago.<BR><BR>Does anyone have some sample code and/or insights to share on this topic? I would greatly appreciate it if you do.<BR><BR>Thanks,<BR><BR>James

    fyi - I ended up implementing a solution in Perl/Maxl that gives a timestamp to the second in a format that can be retrieved intelligently into Excel. I use the Perl time() function (Unix server) to get the GMT epoch time as a long int. Then I convert it into the floating point DATE format for Windows, with the hard-coded assumption of what time zone my server is in. Then I run a calc from MaxL that sets this value. I build the calc string in Perl and pass it into MaxL. Pretty cool. The calc uses two sub vars, one for the members to fix on and the other for the Scenario to timestamp. This way the perl/maxl is database independent.<BR><BR>Just thought someone might want to know...

    Hi,
    There are services in Content Server that will allow you to create revisions of existing items. For example, CHECKIN_UNIVERSAL service will check in a new revision of an item if that Content ID already exists. You can also checkout a document if needed using the CHECKOUT service. Please refer to the services reference guide for more details (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e11011/toc.htm).
    Regarding conversion and watermarking...
    You don't have to call a service to convert or watermark a document. These features have to be configured on the server. If you configure the content server to convert Word documents to PDF, then whenever a Word document is checked in, the content server will automatically convert it to PDF. In addition, if you have PDFWatermarking enabled and configured, watermarks will be applied automatically as well. All you have to do is ensure the product is configured correctly for the formats you want, and then check in the document. When you retrieve a document (using the GET_FILE service for example), you can ask for the PDF version by passing additional parameters.
    Please review the Application Administrators Guide (http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E14571_01/doc.1111/e10978/toc.htm) for info on enabling and configuring PDF Watermarking.
    The doc links referenced above are for UCM 11g. The same docs are available for 10gR3 at http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E10316_01/ouc.htm.

  • How to read a time stamp from the db without ".0" at the end

    Hi All,
    I have code that is saving the results of a query in a result set.
    When ever i read a time stamp from the db (mysql 4) it always adds ".0" to the end of it.
    I tried using the getTimeStamp, getDate, getString methods for result sets and was not able to resolve the issue.
    Am i missing something here?
    Thanks

    here is the code
    public static Table executeSelect(Connection conn, String qry)
         throws SQLException {
              Statement stm = null;
              ResultSet rs = null;
              try {
                   stm = conn.createStatement();
                   rs = stm.executeQuery(qry);
                   Table t = new Table(rs);
                   return t;
              } finally {
                   close(null,stm,rs);
    Basically the user is asked to enter the query and the connection settings and then i retrieve the data and return a table.
    Now if i try to print the value of the time stamp from the result set it adds a a .0
    So for example if am running the following
    select mod_ts from temp limit 1;
    | mod_ts |
    | 2007-12-28 09:32:58 |
    1 row in set (0.00 sec)
    When i print the value of the time stamp it gets printed as 2007-12-28 09:32:58.0
    The following code is used to generate a table from the result set
    public Table(ResultSet rs) throws SQLException {
              ResultSetMetaData rsmd = rs.getMetaData();
              int colCount = rsmd.getColumnCount();
              colNames = new String[colCount];
              colTypes = new int[colCount];
              for ( int i=0; i<colCount; i++) {
                   String colName = rsmd.getColumnName(i+1);
                   colNames[i] = colName;
                   int colType = rsmd.getColumnType(i+1);
                   colTypes[i] = colType;
              while ( rs.next()) {
                   if ( data == null) {
                        data = new ArrayList<List>();
                   List<Object> row = new ArrayList<Object>();
              for ( int i=0; i<colCount; i++) {
                   Object ob = rs.getObject(colNames);
                   row.add(ob);
              data.add(row);
    Now when i print the values in the result set it adds a .0 to the end of the time stamp
    I also tried using getTimeStamp for a result set and the same problem still existed

  • Adjusting time stamp of AI waveform when using pause triggering

    Hi Everybody,
    I've written a VI that acquires data (AI) at specified time intervals
    by using pause triggering and a counter signal, but the resulting time
    stamps associated with the data points in the AI waveform are NOT the
    actual time relative to the start of the initial acquisition. I was
    thinking of modifying the time stamps (post-acquisition) for each set
    of data points per interval by adding the "off" time as set by the
    counter signal, thereby adjusting the time stamps of the data to real
    time. I then have a subVI that will convert the time stamps to elapsed
    time. I also have an AO waveform being generated at the same time, and
    was wondering if I could somehow use those time stamps values if they
    were synced to the AI somehow, although this seems more difficult. The
    adjustment does not need to be extremely accurate, and can vary on the
    order of seconds (e.g., the last data point could be at 9990 seconds
    for an acquisition that actually ended after 10000 seconds). Any
    suggestions?
    As an aside, the important point of this part of my program is to
    reduce the amount of data being collected. I need a high sampling rate
    to acquire waveforms with pulse widths on the order of milliseconds,
    but typically run the experiment overnight (+12 hrs.) so the files get
    really big (e.g., 3 GB!). I could try writing to binary files, but I
    haven't figured out how to read the file and then split the data into
    smaller files of user-defined size that can then be converted to
    text/.xls files. If you have any ideas on how I might do this as well,
    I'd greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!
    Unagi

    Unagi,
    I am not exactly sure what you are trying to do, but I can
    take a guess.  When performing analog input measurements the waveform is
    composed of t0, dt and Y.  You can manipulate any of these values after
    the data has been acquired.  If you set up the task the waveform should
    contain an absolute time, not relative.  If relative is required, as you
    suggested, this can be done post acquisition with the build waveform components
    vi.
    I do not understand exactly what you want do with the
    timestamps for the analog output.  Do you
    want to use the relative time computed from the analog input data for the
    analog output waveform?  If so, you could
    build a waveform and use the t0, dt from the analog input processed/relative
    time waveform.  Again this would be done with the build waveform components
    vi.
    Finally, a binary file would reduce the amount of memory
    required when saving your data.  A binary file is fairly simple to save
    and open in LabVIEW.  There are a couple examples in NI Example Finder (i.e.
    Write Binary File and Read Binary File) that show you how to write and read
    binary files.  If you write the data to a binary file during acquisition,
    and modify/split it later you could open the binary file, retrieve the data in
    LabVIEW, and write a small subset to a text file.  Alternatively, you could
    perform some analysis of the data during acquisition and only save the set of
    data that you require post acquisition.

  • Wrong Time Stamp from GPS GGA Sentence?

    Hello Everyone,
    Today I made a short program to interface with a GPS antenna over the serial port, and parse the incoming strings.  That part seems to work great.  However, when I decode the GGA sentence to retrieve the UTC time (hhmmss.ss) and try to convert it to a time stamp, the value seems off.
    First, when I'm watching the UTC time count up, one second of displayed time is longer than 1 second of me counting out loud.  Counting out loud isn't super accurate, I know, but it takes almost 2 seconds of real time to pass before 1 second updates on the display.  Not sure why.  I'm thinking it has something to do with my loop timing?  The expected sample rate coming from the antenna is 5 hz.  I have a wait function built into the program to time the loop, and if I try any value I try besides 200mSec, then the sentences don't read correctly at all.  Am I getting data correctly by setting a wait function, or should I be doing something else.
    Also, the time just doesn't match up with my computer time at all.  When I first ran it, it was like 10 minutes fast.  But I let it run for a little while and now it's 1.5 hours fast.  I'm not sure if it jumped to that time, or worked it's way up.  Either way, if the seconds truly are updating slower than 1 second of real time, I'm not sure why the timer is fast?
    I'm pretty confused at this point.  This is my first time using GPS, so if anyone with some experience could help, I'd appreciate it.
    Thanks,
    Alex

    Ok, thanks for the quick responses everyone.  I will try to weave together replies to some of your comments, as well as talk about a discovery I made.
    As far as my system goes, I actually have a Blue Tooth unit communicating over the serial port.  It works great through Hyper Terminal, as I can use it to retrieve NMEA sentences just fine.   The VI I made with Labview retrieves the sentences just as well, so I know I am communicating with my antenna.  I know I have a lock on several satellites, because I can get that information from one of the sentences.  The UTC time it provides, in the format hhmmss.ss (similar to your GPRMC Mike), seems correct.  It matches my system time within a minute.  So I am pretty confident with the system setup.
    That being said, I made a discovery this morning that might point to the problem.  Right now I am retrieving 2 sentences from the GPS unit: GPGGA and GPVTG.  When only pulling in the GPGGA sentence into Labview, the UTC time seems to be updating as I would expect.  Every time I count one second of time, the UTC time changes by one second.  Great!  Then I programmed the GPS unit to start outputting GPVTG sentences in addition to the GPGGA sentence.  Now when I look at the UTC time, it takes longer than 1 second real time to update 1 second of UTC time.  I hope that makes sense.  So it seems like when I pull in two sentences at a time, the system slows down.  Is this a VISA read error or something?  I don't know where the problem really could be.  This seems like the main issue.
    Otherwise, the second problem I have, is actually converting the GGA time value to a Labview timestamp.  Right now I just have the UTC value (hhmmss.ss) feed into a "to Time Stamp" function within Labview.  I'm not sure that is the correct way of going about it though.  I guess I'm not even sure where a date value comes into play either?
    Anyways, hope you can guys can see something here that I am missing.
    Thanks again.

  • GPOs On Different DCs Have Different Time Stamps

    Hi All,
    I believe that we may have a GPO replication problem. Different PCs in the same OU report different settings as displayed by gpresult.exe. It looks like some PCs are getting old versions of the GPO.
    I did some digging,and found a utility called gpotool.exe from the 2003 reskit.
    (Our DCs are all 2008R2 running at a 2003 functional level. Two sites, well-connected by 20 Gb links.)
    After considerable searching, I have been unable to find any explanation of the errors anywhere. In fact, the tool has little documentation anywhere. The error messages look like this:
    Policy {01BC3F84-0862-4CEA-A228-A36D6C62A612}
    gpotool: e    ERROR: Err: Size different between Machine
    Error: DC6.mydom.ca - DC8.mydom.ca sysvol mismatch
    gpotool: e    ERROR: Err: Size different between MachineI
    I tried to load the stats into a spreadsheet by creating a report using powershell to query all of the GPOs using
    get-gpo. Sadly, this utility does not retrieve any size information. What it does highlight however is that the GPOs have different modification times on different DCs.
    In most cases, the time stamps differ by less than an hour, but a very few GPOs differ by several days.
    My questions:
    Is it normal to have different modification times on different DCs?
    Is the report from gptool.exe valid, or should i ignore it?
    Many thanks in advance!
    Consume. Conform. Obey.

    This is an FRS issue. Have you looked for issues/errors regarding FRS? The GPO time stamps are a symptom of this problem.
    1. There is a GPOTOOL.exe for 2008+ that MS never officially released. It works on my domain. I can publish it to a DropBox public folder if you are interested.
    2. Or you could stand up a Win8 box and install RSAT tools and load the GPMSC console. It has WONDERFUL tools that address this very issue. It has the GPOTool "built in" among other nice things.

  • Appending and add time stamp at a time........

    Hi all,
    i am working on a scenario...
    it is file based..no mapping and bpm can be used.
    I need to pick up file through xi and append it and put in the target with time stamp to it.
    we can achieve this if mapping or bpm is allowed.....
    But,in file processing we can use only one option at a time.....
    I found a way:
    scenario one: files will be appened and kept in a temparory folder
    using another scenario we will pick up the appeneded file and add time stamp and keep in target structure...
    but i dont think this is advisable...
    please suggest me any other ways to achieve this...(can run operating system command be helpfull??)
    thanks in advance..
