Timekeeper group displays ex-employee data
we are currently using 11.5.10 version of oracle hrms and we have consultants working on our upgrade. we have come across an issue that the system is showing ex-employee data on the timekeeper group form in the release 12.1.3 Instance.
Is this normal??

Are you referring to the Person List in the TimeKeeper group form ?
Was it not the same in 11i ?
If an employee leaves mid period.. and if the timekeeper cannot view ex-employees, how would (s)he enter/amend the data ?
Looks ok to me, but not sure.

Hi there,
I am looking at the design of Timekeeper groups and was hoping to define timkeeper groups by organisation expecting the group to be populated by all employees below the higher level organisations in the organisation hierarchy. Is this the case or how can this be achieved? For example the org hierarchy is defined division (highest level), branch (next level) and section lowest level.
If we create a timekeeper group by adding employees at division level how do we ensure that all employees in the branches and sections below will be added to the timekeeper group.
In addition how do we handle new hires as we need them to be added to the appropriate timekeeper groups automatically.
Assigning timekeeper groups using an assignment set based on payroll is probably not an option as there are many payrolls and potentially a few different ones to an organisation.
Any help on this would be very greatly appreciated.

Role composition for ESS to display only own data.
Hi all,
I am trying to compose a role for Employee Self Service for employees to display their payroll, but i couldn't manage to structure it to display only their own personnel data. I had to put the personnel area in P_ORGIN however in that case they become authorised to display all employees' data in that personnel area. Can i use P_PERNR object for this operation? Please advise.

SezinYou can give I in PSIGN field for the infotypes that you want to 'Include' for an employee, and E in PSIGN field for the infotypes that you want to 'Exclude' for an employee.
Whether those Infotypes will be Read or Maintain will be dependent on the value in the AUTHC field.

Timekeeper Group - One Employee belonging to different Timekeeper Groups
Hey guys,
Got an issue here. I created two groups namely Test Group 1 and Test Group 2. An employee, say Robert, belongs to both of these groups. So when I enter timecard details for him in Test Group 1 in the Timekeeper Entry Window, his same timecard details get populated in the 2nd group, Test Group 2. I want to use these 2 group for different purposes. If I edit Robert's timecard details in one group, the same thing happens in the other. Is there anyway to stop this from happening? Like a profile option or something?
Thanks in advance.I doubt if you would be able to do it. OTL only allows for a single timecard for a person during a period. If there is a timecard available for the period it will show up, irrespective of the timekeeper group the person is associated to.

the report is showing the text of the fields, like Employee subgroup text instead of the codes we've given.
Is there any way of having the report generate the codes instead of the text? Pls let me know.

I am not sure whether we can make changes in the standard reports setting. I hope you can use SAP Infoset Query to solve your issue.
Please follow the following steps for creating a simple report
FIRST STEP
SQ03
Create user group
SAVE
SQ02
Create Infoset
ZHCM_PD
Now select the required infotypes from the screen given
Then generate the infoset
Go back to infoset screen and you can see your infoset appearing in the initial screen
Now assign the infoset to the particular user group using role/user group assignment and Save
SQ01
Select Infoset Query
Open the ZHCM_PD and the following screen will be displayed showing the selection and output screen
********When you select output screen, the same will be displayed down. Just select one field and right click and select Only value**************
Select the required infotypes selection and output field and give the hit list to see the number of documents present
To see the output click on output screen
Please note that when you create the reports, you can select the output either by Only Value/Only Text/ value and text.
I hope this will resolve your issue.

(This is what we had done....)
Check the composite role : SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP
Create a Z role for SAP_EMPLOYEE_ERP;
Will prompt you to copy the corresponding roles in it to z roles.
The z-composite role is then assigned to the user.
While creating an ESS user, to to restrict access to personnel master data, changes in the authorization P_ORGIN needs to be done.
In our case, check the z-role created ; zSAP_ESSUSER_ERP.
In Authorizations tab=>Display authorization data option => ;
Expand Human Resources;
In HR : Master data, you can find the various authorization assignments to P_ORIGIN;
Authorization level (AUTHC)
Infotype (INFTY)
Personnel Area (PERSA)
Employee Group (PERSG)
Employee Subgroup (PERSK)
Subtype (SUBTY)
Organizational Key (VDSK1)
Authorization level (AUTHC) takes the values :
R (Read) : for Read access
M (Matchcode) : for Read access to Input helps (F4)
W (Write) : for Write access
S (Symmetric) : for Write access using the Symmetric Double Verification Principle
* : always includes all other authorization levels simultaneously
E and D (Enqueue and Dequeue) :
for Write access using the Asymmetrical Double Verification Principle. E allows the user to create and change locked data records and D allows the user to change lock indicators.
In your case probably you need to consider for :
Employee Group (PERSG) / Employee Subgroup (PERSK)
the Authorization level set to R for the defined infotypes.
This is again, Basis work....

Data not submitting when I have a conditional display on a date field
Hello all,
Could someone please help me with the following issue?
I have created an updateable report region with four updateable fields. 3 of the fields store a number values and the fourth stores a date value.
Each updateable report item has a conditional display, and whether they are displayed or not is controlled by the end user using a radio group (with submit). This provides the user with three options.
If I remove all conditional displays all data will commit to the database without any problems. If I apply the conditional display to the number fields only, again the data will commit as normal. However, as soon as I add a conditional display to the date field it all goes pair shaped. The data will then cease to commit, with no error message at all. Once I remove the conditional display normal service is resumed.
I'm certainly an APEX novice at the moment, so I wondered if anyone could shed some light on this.

Basically, I have edited each applicable report field column attributes, via the report attributes tab, and selected a conditional display 'Value of item in Expression 1 = Expression 2' for all of them.
In the same report region I have created a radiogoup with submit called p51_update_type, specifying three static return values; R, F and S
Condition e.g.
*"Expression 1"*
p51_update_type
*"Expression 2"*
S
All columns display as expected, and commits to the database are normal, that is until I apply a conditional display to the date field (which relates to a table column of type DATE in the database).

Displaying all shape data in visio shapes

Which Visio and Access version are you using? Based on my tested (Visio 2013& Access 2013), we can link the data to the selected shapes one by one manually and the data will display below the shape. Please try the following steps:
Click Data tab > External Data group> click Link Data to Shapes> Choose Microsoft Access database> Follow the instructions in the Data Selector wizard> After you click Finish on the last page of the Data Selector wizard, the External Data
window appears with your imported data shown in a table.
Select one shape> Find the data in External Data window> Right Click the data > Select Link to Selected Shapes.
Note: You can link a single row to multiple shapes, but each shape can be linked to only one row.

nessiaAuthorizations will be done by the Basis Team.But we cannot restrict master data through payroll wise.
Either go with Personnel Area Wise or Employee Group wise or Employee subgroup wise
If not then go with the Organizational Key wise then u have configure the below nodes
IMG>Personnel Management>Personnel Administration> Organizational Data> Organizational Assignment--> Set up organizational key
Organizational key: Maintain feature VDSK1
Organizational key: Control
Organizational key: Creation rules

Employee Data in Chinese and English
Hi,
Is it possible to maintin the Employee Name in Chinese language along with English, example: Display employee data in chinese or input data in chinese while Logon language is EN.
1. Is there any Infotype where the Employee name could be stored in Chinese seperatly?
2. Is there any config setting by which this is possible ?.
2. What kind of system settings are required for this
The system is ECC6.0 and is unicode compatiable.

To maintain name in Chinese you have to login using the chinese language and your keyboard should support this language.
Otherwise you can copy and paste in the relevant field. For this chinese language should be installed in your PC.
SAP has provided fields in info type 0002 to maintain chinese language.
Chinese name fields "Hanja" field name "LNMCH" & "FNMCH".

Authorization Group in CV01n Document Data tab
Hi SAP Gurus,
I went on to Configure the Authorization groups at spro / Document Management / Approval Tab,
but the same is not appearing in CV01N create document, Basic data tab. Screen......
can any one explain how to configure this Authorization Group and make use of this Authorization Group
i tried in PFCG, at object C_DRAW_BGR, also but the authorization groups i have created is not displayed at all.
what is the Configuration missing and to work with Authorization groups.

where has my created Auth group gone,
please explain how to work with Auth groups. where and all it has to be assigned and linked.

Error in notification- Wrong Code group displaying
While creating Notification, we can assign codes for defect loc, def type and causes. After that, If I go in change mode of same notification, code group for defect type and causes are default taking as code group assigned for defect location.
Also the code group for defect type and causes are not even displaying in screen.
But the data for defect location is showing everything fine, means code group, codes.
Summary:
In QM02- Change Notification
Defect Location:
Code group- Correctly displaying whatever assigned during creation of notification
Defect Loc code: Correctly displaying
Def Loc description- Correctly displaying
Def Type:
Code group- Displaying same code group of def location
Defect type code: No display
Defect type description- No display
Causes:
Code group- Displaying same code group of def location
Causes code- No display
Causes description- No display

How to edit Oracle timekeeper group
I have created a timekeeper group named "First group". I have added one employee under this group.
After few months, I got one more employee working for me. Now I want to add this new (second) employee to the "First group". How can I do it?
I am not able to see any options on editing the group either in the oracle help or from menu's. If there is a way to do this, please guide me the steps.
