Timeline Error

While executing DWContext_Timeline_AddBehavior command in
menus.xml, the following JavaScript error(s) occurred: The function
addBehavior() is currently unavailable.
It is a template based page and I cannot get the timeline to
function to perform any actions. Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks,

  • Can anyone advise on this error: "Timeline", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Unknown

    Hello,
Attempting to author a basic Blu-ray disc.  Everything appears to be ok when I run the build check to make sure that the disc will write out correctly.  When I start to build and burn the disc, Encore begins to import the video asset, and then quits with the following error message:
Blu-ray Object: "<Timeline> Untitled Timeline", Error: "invalid format", Code: "14", Note: "Unknown exception"
Does anyone have any thoughts regarding this error?  In the project timeline, everything plays ok - picture and sound.  I am importing a MPEG-2 file that came out of Compressor as an .m2v file.  Not sure if this could be the cause of the invalid format.  If so, odd that it imports into the project and simulates ok.
    Thanks,
    Mtbakerstu

    Thanks Stan.
The project originates in Final Cut Pro, so it is easier for me to export out directly from FCP than to make an intermediate file to go into Premiere Pro.  Also, going directly makes it more fool proof in terms of potential downstream issues with the MPEG encode.
That said, do you have a file format recommendation if I were to export a master file out of FCP, and then import into PP ?
Regarding if I want the M2V to work, do you know what setting might be causing the error... presuming that's the issue.  Does it make sense that I would be able to see the video file workin in Encore, but when I try to then "build" it fails?
    Thanks again, feedback most appreciated!

  • AVCHD Timeline Error with Preimere Pro CS4

I just bought an AVCHD camera that compresses to a m2ts file extension. Everytime I try and edit the AVCHD footage, this happens.
    Priemere Error:
Everything works except for the playback. When I playback the footage in the timeline it has artifacts in the image, color streaks, and blockiness. Only when I playback, there is nothing wrong with the footage! I've tested it elsewhere. It only does it during playback on the time line, no other time
All other files work fine, also I still have CS3 installed on my computer, I don't know if that could cause this problem. I am on an xp computer.

With the limited details provided it is hard to tell, but something tells me it might be be a limitation of your hardware.

    1. Timelines are being removed from CS4 because the code is
    so antique.
    Why are you using them?

  • Rendering the timeline, error. iMac

It´s rendering for a while but then this error message is coming up.
The machine is not chrashing or anything. Except from that
the machine is not able to complete the rendering.

I'm having a similar issue - I can't find an answer - it doesn't keep me form working however; if i need to show my timeline or sequence to a client I have to export it then re-import if my sequence is too complex for playback...
    iMac 4 processors, Intel Core i7, 3.5 GHz, 32 GB SMC 2.15f2?
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M, PCIe, 4096 MB
    also using a BlackMagic UltraStudio4K Thunderbolt I/O

  • Actionscript is on main timeline: Error #1009 comes up.

    glow.strength = Math.random()*.5 + .35;
    sign.filters = filters ;
So Why am I receiving the error when the actionscript is on the main timeline.

The 1009 error indicates that one of the objects being targeted by your code is out of scope.  This could mean that the object....
    - is not in the display list
    - doesn't have an instance name (or the instance name is mispelled)
    - does not exist in the frame where that code is trying to talk to it
    - is animated into place but is not assigned instance names in every keyframe for it
    - is one of two or more consecutive keyframes of the same objects with no name assigned in the preceding frame(s).
If you go into your Publish Settings Flash section and select the option to Permit debugging, your error message should have a line number following the frame number which will help you isolate which object is involved.

  • Exporting timeline error

Hi,  Everytime I try to export, from either Premiere or Media encoder, I get an error that reads 'WinFile.cpp-785'.  I have tried switching the formats and the settings.  Nothing seems to work, be it H.264, Quicktime, MPEG, AVI, F4V.  If I continue the process after the error message sometimes it will lock up and sometimes it will export the file with a horrible shreiking audio throughout the video.  Can anyone help me with this? I really need to get this file exported.
    Thanks in advance.

    Deleting FCP Preferences:
Open a Finder window. Set the view mode to columns:
Click the house icon that has your name next to it.
Click the folder "Library" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Preferences" in the next column.
Find and click the folder "Final Cut Pro User Data" in the next column.
Move the files "Final Cut Pro 6.0 Prefs", "Final Cut Pro Obj Cache" and "Final Cut Pro Prof Cache" to the Trash and empty it.

  • Adobe Media Encoder CC constantly crashing during batch encodes

    Hello!
We just made the big switch to Premiere Pro CC for our TV shows and now that it's time to finalize our first few episodes we are having some major problems batch exporting segments of the show. Sometimes it works, sometimes it works half way through the batch list then crashes, sometimes it crashes right away. There is no consistency, other than crashes are happening all the time. Here's what is happening:
    • AME 7.2.0.43 (64-bit)
    • Mac OS X 10.9.1 on 2x2.66 GHx 6-Core Intel Xeon, 40 GB 1333MHz DDR3 RAM
    • Startup disk is SSD w/ 4GB free space (all footage is on external storage)
    • Using Premiere Pro CC to export via AME.
    • All recent updates insatlled as of 3/10/14.
The source footage is ProRes 422 720p 59.94 footage from AJA KiPros. Each project has 16 segments - these are individual sequences. There are 7 tracks of audio and 4-5 tracks of video in each. In addition to the video there are targa files that include the score bug, full screen graphics, etc (this is sports). There are also some Adoby Dynamic Link After Effects elements throughout.
Editing has been fairly crashless - however when I File > Export > Media and queue it up in AME, that's when the fun starts.
I can rarely get through an entire batch list - generally within a few files the preview window at the bottom shows that it has halted and nothing further will encode. There is no way to stop or close the program without force quitting. When I have tried to encode from Premiere Pro CC directly, it works, although it is much slower and will only do the one sequence at a time.
I have been trying to encode to two different formats from within AME:
1.) ProRes 422 720 59.94 (just like the source footage) with 4 channels of audio.
    2.) ProRes 422 1080i29.97 with 4 channels of audio.
We have different broadcast partners so we need to deliver in these two difference specs. I get crashes regularly on both outputs.
Possibly unrelated but also weird - I've noticed that when AME starts this crashing cycle sometimes Premiere CC won't let me save anyome. The status bar comes up like it's going to save the project but it goes nowhere. I have to quit without saving. Weird.
Can anyone help me further troubleshoot? This is bordering near deal breaker to continue using this software if I have this much trouble when trying to get my project outputted. Thank you!

Agreed, I now have a project to GET OUT, and AME crashes consistently 1/3 into the render. It appears to halt all processing after (real time) 00:02:30
Am seriously considering uninstalling CC as I am beginning to find other issues in some apps, and going back to CS6/MC just so I can get work out. Durn it Adobe this is AWFUL!!
Alright, let's try to be constructive instead of throwing rocks... but the frustration level is high, and I have material on deadline. Let's get with this, guys...
    What OS Win7, 64-bit
What version of AME/PPro (Please be specific by getting the full version number in the About Adobe Media Encoder screen) 8.2.0.54 Ppro: 8.2.0 (65)
When is it crashing (Again, the more detail here about where it was in the encoding process the better) roughly 1/3 into the sequence, always on exactly the same frame - tried replacing the clip with something different to see if it was a timeline error, and NO EFFECT.
What is your source (PPro project or media file (what kind?)) PPro
If the source if a PPro project, does it work when exporting directly from PPro? NO
What format are you exporting to? H.264, QT, WM, tried everything my client can play.
Do other formats work? MPEG2, QuickTime, etc? NO
Have you tried with GPU rendering on? How about turning it off by switching to Software-only mode? Mine doesn't have any choice, it's software-only.
Have you tried disabling Native Sequence Loading? (AME Preferences: General > Enable Native Sequence Loading) No effect
Other things I tried: uninstalling/reinstalling AME, setting cache to a fast local disk.

  • Having major issues with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) - exporting with weird image flickering/colour anomalies, crashing regularly, freezing during encode...!

    Hi Guys
I am having some real issues with Adobe Media Encoder (AME) at the moment.  It appears that I am unable to encode an h.264 for Vimeo from a Premiere Pro Project file at the moment without at least some weird image issues that are not supposed to be there.  These include weird flickering, colour changes, artefacts etc.  This is if I am lucky...often I am unable to get the process to complete as the application either crashes and tells me there has been a problem or it simply freezes and I have to force quit the application and often restart my machine.
The problem seems to not to just be with h.264 for the web encodes but also with BluRay h.264 as well. As yet I haven't seen if there is a problem with MPEG-2 for DVD so I will check this out too!
Does anyone else see this happening or does anyone know what might be the problem?
I thought the Premiere Pro project might have been corrupt so tried a different project but the same issues were happening here too.
Any help would be really gratefully received.
    Cheers
EDIT - I have just found this online which is exactly the problem I am having! Thanks a bloody bunch Apple! 10.9.3 causing headaches for Mac Pro users | MacIssues

  • PE3: Experiencing total frustration - "Help"

I have a bunch of projects that I started a few weeks ago and have got nowhere. Keep going away from the problems and coming back to them.
Have posted 2 topics on the forums recently and did not resolve the issues ie: "Audio & Video out of synch on imported V.O.B.files" and "4:3 footage shows black & white on RH side"   Persevered but to no avail.
Have been using PE3 all OK up to now, but something didn't quite seem to be running right. The "File, Edit etc toolbar at the top wasn't appearing correct. It was blank white without filling in the grey background and words. I got over this by dragging over the area with the mouse and it then slowly filled in the blanks.
After the 4:3 footage problem, I thought that an uninstall & re-install might help and to start all over again with freshly imported footage.
After doing this (Using Windows Add/Remove programs I removed the PE3 programme & PE Templates and did not keep the project presets when prompted)
After re-installation I imported new footage from the DV camcorder. When I went to render the timeline the folowing error message appeared: "VIDEO PREVIEW ERROR - Error Compiling Movie - I/O error". And so hit a brick wall again.
I got no Encoder Activation prompt after re-install & I don't need to have to re-register the program again do I ? (I presume these are both one time only)
Also I re-installed the programme into the NEW NAME user account as before but under a different folder name for easier identification). Before uninstall I deleted the PE3 folder containing the PE projects, AVI files etc.
After the re-install and again getting the Timeline error message, I did a further un/re-install but the message again appeared (and this time I downloaded and applied the PE3.0.2 patch which I did not use before).
I read the topic in Adobe Premiere troubleshooting about doing a complete uninstall but it seems very messy & complicated especially the part about messing around in the registry files.
Thought then about upgrading to PE8 at this point, but wasn't very impressed with the user reviews & apparent bugs. I just want something I can just get on with ASAP but without have a whole bunch of new problems to deal with.
    My questions are:
    1) Can anyone see where it's all gone wrong
    2) What is the best & easiest way to do "complete" un/re-install. (I want to start with a clean blank canvas & don't want any old conflicting PE3 files  kicking about in the background etc.
Is it better to use something like "TOTAL UNINSTALL" to do the job instead of using the Windows Add/Remove programmes tool.
    3) If you think upgrading is a good way to go, I can get something like PE6 cheaper.
Also if you think that I should upgrade, I would prefer to use the PE8 as a trial version first.
    4) What do you need to do if you have already have/had an existing PE program installed before installing an upgraded trial version.
    5) Finally, remember that I have got used to & been quite happy with PE3 up to now. (Or is there a better version with less glitches & problems) "After all, I only want to get on with my projects and not do battle all the time" ! !
Any help & comments would be most appreciated.

    Thanks for the advice Steve.
I've done everything (except check the register with EasyClean)
Have the latest Quicktime installed, deleted PE3 files before uninstall, updated Windows components (hardware & software).
Un/re-installed PE3 & PE3.02 patch, re-registered PE3, rebooted PC, activated encoder on prompt, have ample defragmented space on the hard disk.
Unfortunately, am still getting error message: Video Preview Error  - Error Compiling Movie - I/O Error.
I am running on XP. Any further suggestions would really help.
    Thanks,
    Tony.

  • First frame of new clip, last frame of previous clip bug

I'm coming across what seems to be a bug in Premiere Pro CS6. When I apply an effect or edit an After effects project in Premiere Pro, the clip next to it seems to get a frame of the video without the effect then it changes to the next clip.
So it goes Clip with effect on > Next clip with 1 frame of previous clip but without effect > Next Clip with whatever footage.
Hopefully this makes sense? It's a really annoying bug.. any ideas?

I see what you are trying to do, but i have the exact same problem as alex
Im positive when mine does it, either the effect doesnt apply on the last frame, or it takes that last frame and puts it at the start of the next clip. I am sure they are frames of the same clip and there is no timeline error, i have zoomed in and looked and checked alot.
This means i get an annoying flash of a frame from the previous clip over the start of the present one, i have restarted it and works fine, but after a while of editting, it just comes back again?
    Help much needed and appreciated?
    Thanks,
    Oliver

  • Have to convert 5d mark iii footage?

    Hello,
When I try to drop mark iii footage on the SpeedGrade timeline I don't get any video, but I get audio. The thumbnails display a red dot at the top left corner:
I presume I have to convert the footage to something more common and editable before bringing into SpeedGrade, is that right?
    Many Thanks,
    David

It shouldn't be an issue bringing mkIII footage right into SpeedGrade.
    A couple of questions:
Are you working on Win or Mac ?
What are you seeing on screen when you load the clip to timeline (error message, black) ? Please upload a screen-grab of SpeedGrade UI
Can you load the clip in QT player ?
Can you load any other QT's in SpeedGrade ?
    Thanks.

  • "Program error" When I click on the timeline/motion controls or try to export/save as my animation. PS CC late 2014

I have been working on an animation for an online ad. The file is 300 by 250. It's about 24 seconds long. I had completed and saved my work as a GIF file. I also saved some static JPGs of the animation. Everything was still working at this point. Then I closed Photoshop and reopened the PSD file to export it to a different format, but when I clicked on the time-marker in the timeline window or tried to edit my animation, I got this error message: "could not complete your request because of a program error." Watch the following video to see exactly what happens:
I'm running Adobe Photoshop CC November 2014. I'm working on a PSD file, 24 seconds long, 30 fps.
I looked in my library/preferances/adobe folder for photoshop's error log file. This is the error in that file:
    2014:11:12 18:30:17 : /Volumes/workarea/PS_15_Mac_Daily_Retail/20140730.r.148/photoshop/main/photoshop/sources/ ULinkManager.cpp : 1380 : REQUIRE failed
Thank you so much for reading this. It sucks to work so long on an ad and then have this happen for seemingly no reason. Please help if you can.

Looks like issues with some linked smart objects... You could try and copy/ move the whole shebang to another location in the hopes that it either fixes the issue or PS completely forgets the linked files completely so you might relink/ replace them.
