To_date ISO Year and ISO Week

Hello,
I have a Character-String '0949' which is the Iso Year and Iso Week.
To get this string I use this code:
to_char (trunc (sysdate, 'IW'), 'IYIW')Is it possible to convert this String back to a date?
I tried it with this code:
to_date ('0949', 'IYIW')but only get an ORA-01820 error.

IMac quality going down? My broke down after 1 year and 4 weeks!

I bought the top of the range iMac on July 14, 2011. Today is 1 year and 4 weeks later - it is in the apple shop because the graphic and logic card are broken. With a fee of over 600 dollars.
Is this what one can expect? Just angry!

All manufacturers have the occasional bad device. It is the combination of items from multiple manufacturers. That is why Apple Care is a good investment. For about US$100 this would have been a free repair and you would have two more years of warranty coverage.

An ISO year always has 52 or 53 whole weeks. The year starts with week 01, the week with the year's first Thursday in it. For 2009, the first week starts on Dec. 29 2008.

Macbook pro dies after 1 year and 3 weeks

So..
I Purchased my MBP last year, without the 3-year applecare plan.
I have been using it mainly for internet, music and all the
other normal everyday things people use their computers for.
Three weeks after my 1-year warranty expired, the computer
simply stops working..
I took it to a licensed apple technician, and most chances are
that the motherboard is the problem. (he still has the computer)
My question is: is this normal? I mean, one year and 20 days?? really?
Even if I did have applecare, this is completely unacceptable !!
A new motherboard is not going to be cheap.. It's a major flaw..
This is a machine that should last a lot longer and it sure costs like one.
what should I do next? anyone knows of a similar situation? every piece
of advice will help.

I notice that your location is Israel. Did you purchase the MBP in Israel? I understand things may have changed, but after doing some searching it seems that the 3-year AppleCare either:
1) was not offered in Israel until recently
2) is still not offered in Israel
3) if a MBP was purchased outside of Israel the 3-year AppleCare plan would not be valid in Israel
4) if a MBP was purchased outside of Israel the 3-year AppleCare plan may be valid Israel
I am basically trying to string together some pieces of information, and, a stated don't have the whole picture.
My research sources include:
1) Trying to Fix the World: Apple and Israel (http://howtofixtheworld1.blogspot.com/2008/06/apple-and-israel.html). Granted, this was posted in 2008 (updated in 2009), but it seems to set the basis for Apple repairs / warranty issues in Israel.
2) iDigital website (http://www.idigital.co.il/). I used the google translator to read this in English. There are many parts of the site that don't translate. But, was able to rummage around it seems like they offer the iDigital Care Protection Plan for MBPs. This seems like a substitute for the AppleCare plan, and may support the idea that AppleCare is not available there, since it seems to be picked up by this 3rd party.
3) The Apple site for Israel, particularly, the "Why you'll love a mac" page (http://www.apple.com/il/why-mac/faq/#reliable) that states:

When you buy a PC, you’re buying hardware from one company and an operating system and software from other companies. Not so with a Mac. Because Apple builds both the computer and the software that comes with it, they’re literally made for each other. This means that a Mac rarely freezes or crashes. No, the above passage does not guarantee or warrant anything, but it does suggest that a MPB is "reliable". Then, given that it may be the case that AppleCare may not have been a viable option for you, I would press that as a polite argument as why it might seem appropriate for Apple to repair you MBP, just 20 days out of the year warranty.

Which version of firefox are you using? Please update to the latest version if you have not already.
Also are you putting capital letters into the email field? Try using all lower case.

Can you use and iso version of windows 7 64 bit to install windows through bootcamp?

I saw windows 7 64 bit online cheap and it was and iso. If I put it on a disc, could I use it to install windows through bootcamp?

You can use the iso direct from Bootcamp assistant and put it on a USB if your Mac has the ability to boot from a USB flash drive.
If your Mac has a built in cd drive you will need to burn the iso to disc (as an image) and use that to boot from.

Oh no! Lets ensure that you are connected. Have you tried to reset the Network Extender? Are other devices able to connect to the Extender? Is your Internet service up and running?

That happened to me for a short period of time after I updated. It didn't do it with all apps, but it did it with a few here and there. Try a few basic standard troubleshooting steps. Close all apps and reset the iPad.
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
You can also try resetting all settings. You will not lose any data, but most of the device settings will have to be entered in the settings app again. Settings>General>Reset>Reset all Settings.
Hopefully it will be something simple, but don't rule out restoring the iOS software, if nothing else works, but start with this easy stuff first.

That is a new feature described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off:
Turn off iPhone cellular calls
To turn off iPhone Cellular Calls on a device, go to Settings > FaceTime and turn off iPhone Cellular Calls.
