To include a link to an iview in a page.

Hi,
I want to include a link to several iviews in the same page (subscriptions, my tasks ...).
If I include the content of the iview in the page, it is difficult to see so much information.
I think it could be a good idea to include links to the different iviews instead of the content, so it could have a better aspect and it would be easy to see the information. I don't know how to do it, even I don't know if it's possible to do it without developing.

adding a privacy statement page and excluding it from the main menu, but including in links at the base of site

Right click on the page in Plan view and choose to exclude from menus. This will take it off your main nav.
For your bottom nav, change the menu to manual and add the privacy page manually.

I have a dashboard page with multiple reports. One of the reports has Action Links to drill to another report. When I view the dashboard as a web page, the report with the Action Links look fine. The link fields are colored blue. When I send this dashboard page as an HTML email, it shows the Action Link report name in the cell with the other data.
The dashboard page sent out as an agent should look the same as the web page and the Action Link report name should not be visible.
Any ideas?

So you spoofed the values of the 2nd column to have the report act almost like a menu listing?
if that's the case then check the data type of column 2, it should be set to HTML. Then you will just need to build your HTML tag within the column formula.
Example below bins the year name into a Link HTML Tag:

Webi report part(include Opendoc Link) ondesktop did not work in BI Widgets

My customer followed <BI Widgets User Guide>(XI3.1) to create a webi report part(include Opendoc Link) onto desktop.
Page 26:
To convert Report Part into a Widget ,drag and drop the Report Part from the Web Intelligence Viewer onto the desktop.
As a widget, the Report Part will include the following BI Widgets features:
- Automatic refresh
- User controlled size and positioning
- Saved display and data context state
- Optional setting as the top application window
- Full XI R3 security
- Web Intelligence opendoc links to detailed reports.
But it can not be clicked(hyperlink did not work).
My customer follow the SAP Note 1244968 to create again, it still can not be clicked.
For I can't reproduce this issue, could you tell me what's it probably related to?

Workflow
1. Login in Webintelligence
2. Create on efashion a Webintelligence report with the
objects:Year,Sales Revenue
3. In the Edit panel add a column to the table and insert the

4. In the Properties Display/Display/Read cell content as Hyperlink
5. Run the report and save it
6. Open the Webintelligence report with HTML view and click on the
hyperlink you are redirected to the Yahoo website
7. Log in BI Widget
8. Right click on the right inside icon of BI Widget and click on
Document List Explorer
9. Find the Webintelligence report and double click on it
10. Click on the table and drag and drop it to your desktop
11. The BI Widget gets created
12. Click on the column containing the Hyperlink:nothing happens.

These are the steps:
1. Log in into infoview
2. Change the preferences (Click in the Preference button in the main tool bar), in the WebIntelligence section change the Select a default view format: to Interactive.
3. Click OK
4. Open the report where you want to add the hyperlink
5. Right click in the column or cell to add the hyperlink
6. Click Hypelink > New
7. You will see the Create Hypelink window, click Browse the select which report do you want to link
8. Fill in the parameter, prompts, etc.

You may also have to create an allow exception to keep this cookie.
In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":
*do not clear the Cookies
*do not clear the Site Preferences
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history": [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" > Settings

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.

Document url link on webdynpro iview

Dear All
We have developed custom webdynpro ivew.
Assigned that ivew to page and can display in ESS submenu.
and one more km doc iview is there for document disply.
But requirement is when enduser access webdynpro ivew , in the same page there should be one link
If enduser wants to download that document he has to use that link. becuse that doc is relavant to that iview.
How can we do or organize this page.

The real thing is, What I made on Windows 8.1 Adobe InDesign CC Includes a link to every picture starts with E:// or something.
Since I want to make it universal, and Mac don't use E:// for example, I need to know if there is any way to make the Links alive at these 2 platforms.
I don't know. Maybe somehow make the links in format like: " */folder/links/picture.jpg " .

InDesign uses absolute paths for links with the exception that if the link cannot be found in the specified path ID will search the current folder where the .indd file is stored and any subfolders and use links it discovers there.

Include a link to attached files: is it possible?

I have a problem I hope you can help me with.
When using Acrobat,Pro you can add attachments to a PDF file and include a link in the PDF file to this attachment. As a result, if you click on the link, the attachment will open in a new window.
Now, I have created a form in LiveCycle Designer, and on the bottom of the form I would like to include a link to an attached file. However, it seems that I cannot edit the newly created form in Acrobat Pro. Hence, I am not able to include a link to the attached file using the method described above.
I cannot find an option to attach files in LiveCycle Designer, nor a way to link to an attachment. Am I overlooking something, or is it just not possible to include a link to an attachment in a form created in LiveCycle Designer?

I guess it is too late now, but you can do this in a LiveCycle Designer form. Just the same as an Acrobat form, except you refer to the Doc object as event.target. So to attach a file use this JavaScript;
if (event.target.importDataObject("MyAttachedFile"))
var attachmentObject = event.target.getDataObject("MyAttachedFile");
console.println("Attachment path="+attachmentObject.path);
And, this will open it.
event.target.exportDataObject({ cName: "MyAttachedFile", nLaunch: 2 });

ESS - Top-Level navigation changes by following a link in an iView

if i follow a link in an iView for example:
Ess - overview - employee search - who is who it changes my TopLevel-Navigation from Employee Self-Services to another.
The First-Level Navigation changes, the Second-Level Navigation is the same as in the Employee Self-Services ( Overview, Employee Search, ... ). By activating one of them it gives an error ( JavaScript ):
gNavTreeChildren[...]children is null or not an object
Why does it change my First Level Navigation?

Is it possible to include a linked file in a T4 template

Hi All
I'm trying to create a T4 file that includes a linked file. So my project looks like:
Project
   File1.ttinclude
   File2.tt
   File2.cs
Here File1.ttinclude is a linked file (Add existing item -> add as link). Unfortunately it seems that the template processor (I'm on VS2010) can't find the file. Is there anyway I can include the file in the template file (short of putting the actual
relative file path in the include directive)?

Patrick,
T4 does not rely on information from the project file to resolve included files. You can either specify relative path in the include directive, or use Visual Studio macros, such as $(SolutionDir) or $(ProjectDir).

can any one suggest me . how to put a email link on iview . which when clicked opens a default email application in a new window.
if any one could provide some documentation that would be of great help.

JSP links should link to the iView?

Dear Forummers,
Im a skilled JSP programmer designed to make an agenda PAR for a sap Portal.
I fixed this easily and it's showing, but now I ran into a problem im not familiar with:
The current month is showing, but when I hit next month it links to agenda.jsp?action=1 to indicate it has to add a month. This works on tomcat fine but here it gives an error: iView not found: agenda.jsp
Now i expected this to go wrong, but I really have no clue how to link to an iView or some alternative to get this to work.

i interprete the following: you created a jspdynpage component in you par project. because you are familar with jsp you decided to have an jspnative component. this i do not recommend, if you use any kind of actions in your component. for actions the dynpage approach gives you a smart framework for action handling. you can use html- buttons or links for your paging inside the calendar or use the htmlb calendar
