To knowfor which all fert materials, a raw material is used.

Hi Gurus,
My client procures raw material, and process it to semi finished goods and from this semi finished goods to Finished goods. Is there any standard report to know, how many fert materials are produed for raw materials. There is report which gives the details of raw and halb materials or halb to fert materials. But i want a report, that is the usage of raw materials to fert materials .
Any T. Code?
Regards,
RP

Dear RP,
Use T Code CS15 to find out the where used list of a material. Here you can check for a raw material or for a HALB material.
In case if you want to find for a list of materials then you have to develop a report using either of these functional modules,
CSEP_MAT_BOM_SELECT_WHERE_USED   API Bills of Material: Select BOM(s) or else
CS_WHERE_USED_MAT                Bills of material; where-used list.

  • Raw material not using for production

    Dears
I have a raw material which will be a line item for different FERT
But some particular FERT i don't want to this raw material is use for costing and planning and consumption
Please tell me how we can map this
I try  in BOM Item status we can select not relevent for costing as well as in material master can be select asP D ,But the problem is that in some FERT i will use this raw material for costing as well as planing ,consumption etc...
    Any hints please...
    Abu Fathima

Bulk material is normally included in the BOM for information purpose. It normally has not impact on planning, costing, consumption. Materials like grease, washers etc are used as bulk. For what you asked in your first post, bulk material concept suits the best.
You need to remember that if you set bulk material indicator in BOM (it is set in BOM only if in certain fert materials you don't want that component material to be planned costed and consumed) or material master ( for all Ferts), it will not get copied to component overview of production (meaning, you cannot see it in production order, but you can see it in BOM).
But you can make it appear in production order by changing the setting Excl. Bulk Material in BOM explosion in OPPQ  and/or OPPR. In this case when you create production order it will appear in the component overview and it will also appear in the order reservation but... movement allowed field will be blank , meaning you cannot post good consumption for the bulk material even if it appears in component overview. So it is not visible in MD04 or MD05.
Another thing to note is there is a third place you can set bulk indicator, you can set any material as bulk in component overview in CO02, it will not be planned, costed or consumed.
You do not control those things with item catagory in BOM
For R&D, the normal procedure is creating an Engineering BOM (Usage 2). But if you want to use production BOM's for R&D also, you need to go to OS20 and for BOM Usage 1 (for Prodution), change + to .(period)  and now go to CS02 and uncheck production relevant for the items you want to not to be considered for production (planning and consumption) and uncheck costing. Then check Engineering/Design Relevant. This should fulfill your need and also looks politically correct because you're just not bulking it out.

  • How do I make Step Types in the Type palette be "master" versions which all sequence files on a particular should use? (since this only seems to "half work")

The situation I would like is to have a library of step types which sequence developers can use. Therefore if new step types need to be added, or existing ones modified - all that needs to be done is to roll out a new MyTypes.ini (for example), and the code modules/substeps.
    Scenarios:
If I create types in MyTypes.ini (make sure "Attach to this file" is checked, so they get saved here). I can then create a sequence file using these step types. No problem so far.
I can open the type palette, modify the step properties, and save. When I go back to my sequence file an asterisk appears (saying it needs to be saved, even if I have opened it from scratch). The properties have been updated to reflect what is in the Type Palette. Still no problem (Type versions are the same in the sequence file and type palette).
This is where the problem appears:
If I change a step type (in the Type Palette) from using a code module to using a Post-Step substep instead (changing the module adaptor to "None") - any instances do NOT update when you open sequence files. (The same happens vice versa also).
Please note that the "Type version" listed in the sequence file DOES match that listed in the Type Palette - the properties are the same but the manner in which the code modules are called is DIFFERENT! This then can lead to to runtime errors if the old code module has been deleted for example.
The only way around this is to open EVERY sequence file that contains an instance of the step type, and make sure that you have "Apply changes to all loaded instances of this type" checked in the step type properties dialog. This is is not a good solution since files could be missed, and is very time consuming if you have hundreds of sequence files!
What I need is that the Type Palette on any particular station contains the MASTER copies of each type. These are loaded whenever a sequence file is loaded and NOT retreived from the sequence file. As discussed above this seems to work when you modify properties - but doesnt work fine if you change the way in which code modules are called.
Am I doing something wrong or is this a limitation?

I had a system recently containing seven sequence files, approx 20 subsequences in each, and around 10-20 steps in each sub-sequence. Every step (except for the NI non-code module types) was an instance of a step type.
Each one of these steps had an Edit sub-step and a code module called through the code module adapter.
In order to make these into "wrapped up" step types it was decided to move the code module to a Post-Step substep (as also done in the NI-IVI step types) - so that developers cannot fiddle with the code prototype or module.
In order to do this I had to open all 7 of the sequence files, make the changes and then ensure that "Apply changes in this dialog to a loaded instances" was checked. This seems to sort of work, but some steps started causing Error 17502 (System Error) when you configure them (call the Edit substep). Over the course of the past few months I have had to effectively check every instance of a type to see if it works (deleting the step and replacing it when it doesnt). Other strange things happened like some of the step type instances now have the "None" (adapter) icon associated with them - but both still work.
The idea of creating a type-def of a step type is a good one, but frustrating that it doesnt seem to fully work. Why should the sequence file also store a version of the step-type - which is what is effectively causing this problem - why not make it so that if you dont have the step types installed in the type palette - TOUGH! • Deriving the valuation type of a product automatically from raw material

    Hello everyone,
I want to know if it is possible to make it such that a product gets its valuation type automatically according to the valuation type of the raw materials that go into its production. For instance:
Say, I have a product P1001, to produce 1 PC of which takes 3 KG of raw material R1001. P1001 has the valuation types PRD01 and PRD02 assigned, while R1001 has RAW01 and RAW02. I want P1001 to have PRD01 when the R1001 used for it has RAW01, but PRD02 when RAW02.
Is this at all possible? I was thinking maybe product cost collectors, production versions and BOMs could somehow be used for a workaround; except there is no apparent connection to valuation types in any of these.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Generally MRP consider stock from all the storage location when run the MRP for Plant level for material.
However we can exclude the particular storage location from MRP Run, for those following settings to be done.
Go to MRP-2 View of material master and select the storage location to be excluded from MRP. (Press Shift +f1 ex .sloc2) As per your case it should be RMSL
In that MRP view go to Storage location MRP Tab.
And assign u201CSLoc MRP indicator = 1 (Storage location stock excluded from MRP)u201Dand save.
Now run the MRP, stock from sloc2 will not be considered to create-planned order.
Please try this and revert back.
    Cheers,

  • Selling raw material

    Hi All,
We procured some raw material against account assignment "Q"which has been lying in our stores for a month.
Now we want to dispose off  this material to some trader/vendor.
How to go about it? shall we make sales order for this?
    Regards,
    Satyendra

This is a complicated procedure in sap and there are some problems. Techincally sap allows you to sell only finished goods. IN the latest ecc6.0 patches it allows you to sell raw materials also.
Otherwise you need to change the settings for Material type in Logistics general to get the views that you want to maintain.
Now coming back to reality it depends on whether you are registered as a trader /dealer or you are a manufacturer. If you are not registered as a trader then there is a procedure in excise called As is sales. There is no value addition here and while you can add a mark-up slightly you have to pass on the duties to your buyer what you have taken credit on your vendor side.
If however you have dealer regn too then you can clear it as a regular sale maintain the rg23D for the material as well. The onus is on you to prove what went into manufacture and what traded.
In the case of as is sale there is a sap note on this. please see.

  • Report for raw material usage

    Hi All,
i need to take the report for the raw material that used in the finished product.
in the finished products, how much the raw materials are used .

    Hi Raj,
Option 1. You can get the data from MARD, MAST & STPO tables.
From MARD you can read the unrestricted stock i.e. LABST field.
From MAST, read the finished product i.e. MATNR & WERKS (Material & PLant)
From STPO read the component i.e. IDNRK & MENGE (Component & Qty).
Option 2. You can get the data from MARD, AFKO, RESB tables.
This would give you an exact consumption feedback.
AFKO for production order details. (PLNBEZ for header material).
RESB for components (qty consumed) for the order - Fields MATNR (Component), BDMNG (Req. qty), ENMNG (Withdrawn qty).
You can now build the logic with the required multiplication i guess. If any further info is required, revert back.
    If helpful award points

  • Freight cost to be included in the Raw material cost while creating VL31N

    Hi all,
We are purchasing raw material from other country. we are paying freight for the imported material.
My requirement is, when doing inbound delivery freight cost has to be included in the raw material cost.
Now its not getting included in the raw material cost.
What are all the necessary steps to be done to include the freight cost into the raw material?
    Thanks in advance,
    Babu

    Hi,
You can create dummy material inmaterial master record.
You can enter the material manually while creating inbound delivery, which will come as unplanned delivery cost.

  • Raw material shortage

    Hi
    Experts
I am having problem in Production order. Raw material shortage
We create Production order manually no MRP.
    Process is
(Raw material in KG converted to EA)
Cutting Order(EA), Forging Order(EA), Heat treatment order(EA), Machining order (Finish) (EA)all codes are different.
We have one raw material which is used in 5 different Products
Is there any code to find where it is used
    Thanks & Regards
    Pert

    Dear Mr Kumar
    Both the Orders are diff
    1) Cutting order material is in Kg cut in to pieces say 100 kg rod conveted to 500 pieces
then we create Production order for Forging this 500 pieces
    2) but our sap MMBE system shows Forging semifinish stock is of 900 pieces (physsically not present)
    3) Our store people say they issued material for the new order ie current which we have shortage of raw material.
    4) My issue is solved when i get back this Forging semifinish stock of 900 pieces revert to store
but my problem is i am not able to trace out the production order of which this 900 pieces are?
if i revert both forging and cutting order then automatically sap system shows the raw material
    So how to do it?
    Thanks & Regards

  • Getting Blend materials from Raw Materials in RMWB transaction technically.

    Hi,
I am working on a PDM report having requirement for determining all unit and case UPC that contain a chemical represented by a CAS.

    Hi Chetan,
Your scenario has some major issue.
    1. You cannot produce RAW material in SAP.
    2. The cost of material produced inhouse will be different than that of original RAW material.
    3. There will be some cost effect in the final finished product if you consider this inhouse produced material for product costing of finished goods.
We have similar scenario with my client and here is what I have implemented.
    1. Create a new HALB type part number for the inhouse manufactured RAW material. This will ensure that you assign Routing and BOM to same and can capture the COST for the same.
    2. Creating new material will enure that the product costing for inhouse produced RAW material is done.
    3. You can create single Production order for the same as you only have to capture cost. This depends on your Business scenario.
    4. Once you have inhouse produced raw material, you can create alternate BOM for the FINISHED Material with this new Part number in BOM.
    5. Create Production Version for the two BOM and ask Planner to select the Version 2 if he requires new part number in Production Order. I assume that this case would genrally appear in very small numbers.
    6. Now coming to product costing for final assembly. Since we are going to reuse scrap material to create the new part number, only activity cost and component cost will be used to determine cost. This cost will be less than that of RAW material cost.
So we always suggest our customer to consider OLD part number to determine the PRODUCT COST of final material. BUT business will have to take a call on this.
Do let me know if u need any thing else.

  • Break up of raw material cost for released finished materials

    Hi All,
I have searched various threads before posting this question.
Is there any standard report available to view the breakup of raw material cost for a release finished material.
I have cost component split report but it shows everything in raw materials.... is there any report to show a break up of this raw materials cost.
If there is no standard report can you please how I should develop a customized report.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Dear Srinivas,
You will get the cost breakup in the following report:
    CK84_99 - Itemization
    CK86_99 - Costed Multilevel BOM
    CK80_99 - Cost Components
You will get the same information in CK13N
From the standard SAP,  no report will show breakup for all the materials in single report at a time.
We have developed the report through ABAP functionality

  • Check in migo while gr raw material should equal with the challan materials

    hi friends,
while doing gr in migo there should be a check for  the raw material's which we are giving should match with challan materials. Here challan no is entered at the excise invoice tab- subcontracting challan level.
    points will be rewarded,
    thanks in advance ,
    prasad.

    Thanks for your kind reply,
But is there a way solve this problem?
And what is the use of leaving a field in the account assignment tab for an internal order while creating a PO and it will not take advantage of the settlement rule????????
And as you know the internal order settlement is a way to create a multiple account assignment
Can we solve the problem by making an automatic fake transaction that reverse the value of the GR/IR and creating another transaction can apply on it the settlement rule??
You know that settlement rule process is one of the best features in the SAP system it save time and effort to make distributions manually

  • FERT materials costed without error even if Accounting VIew is not maintain

    Hi Gurus,
    Please help with  this scenario.
in our client, they were able to run cost estimate for FERT materials even if accounting view is not maintained in the material master. in my understanding, costing run should generate error report that accounting view does not exist. Please advice.
    Thanks!

    Dear,
    Use T.code OMS2.
Select Material Type & Click on detail button.
See the quantity / Valuation area TAB.
    In Valuation Updating heading :
In No Valuation area button should be selected for Non value-added material.
Accounting view is mandatory for all Valuated Materials in material Master.
From valuation class it will fetch GL of material type to valuated material.
From Standard Price it would fetch price for STD cost estimation to run.
    Hope above will useful.
