TO play IVR in 2 language(UCCX)

I need to to play IVR in local  and englsh language and my IVR playing menu prompt in local and englis languge by using set contact info option. After entering into menu option its again play queue prompt only in english language. Can some one guide how can i play queue prompt in local language as well.Attached is screenshot of my script.

Hi.
Create a new String variable, name it lang. Set its value to "english" or "swahili" according to the chosen menu option. Use an If step within the queuing section to read the value of this variable. Play a prompt according to the value of the variable.

  • Playing IVR default message if no selection made ICM Script

    Hi,
We are working on ICM 5.0 and we need to play IVR message if there is no selection made at the IVR prompt for language selection. The default message, you have not made any selection should be played.
Can anyone let us know if any microapp variable needs to be set or Network VRU should be enabled to achieve this. We are using a media server and have put all the files at the same location.
Since the message is from IVR (we are using ISN 2.1) the default message should be played.
Kindly revert back with answers and thankyou in advance.
    Regards
    Dayanand Naik.

What is the configuration of the microapp that you're playing?  Include a screenshot if possible.

  • Playing IVR after AMD

    Hi all,
we are facing one challenge in uccx solution with our customer that when system make an outbound call and customer doesn't pick the call then it starts playing IVR before end of AMD machine recording.
We need to play the IVR only once the AMD machine stop playing its recording, so that IVR can be recorded completely. Any way to acheive this.

What is an AMD device? Answering Machine? If correct, CCX does not have Call Progress Anaysis in the normal IVR application. The Outbound IVR feature (licensed separately) does though it depends on the router PVDM to do the work for it.

  • How to change the Number of IVR ports in a UCCX?

I know this question has been asked before but it needs to be asked again, as previous answers do not seem to apply.   The simple quesiton is:  If you have a UCCX and if after install you check you check License information and you note that you have 150 IVR ports; how do you increase the number of ports to 300?
I have been told that the number of ports is set by the class of the machine hardware and is not a license issue.   Others have suggested it is a license issue?   At the end of the day, however, I want a step by step procedure for adding more IVR ports to my deployment.   Even if that means buying more licenses (though I can not find a SKU).
I have several clients that have UCCX and are having calls that exceed the number of IVR ports.   Before we get into a discussion of CTI ports or Call Controll Groups, let me identify that I think they are the same.    I can create a CTI Call Control Group with 300 paths, but if I only have 150 IVR ports I am in serious trouble on the 151 call!
I had a lab system that installed under vmware with 150 ports.  No matter how I tried to configure the CVA it always came up 150 ports!   I added a NFR license to my lab and magically it turned it into a 12 IVR system, so licensing does have something to do with it!
I have htis experience on Version 8 and now on Version 9!   I need more IVR ports than appear in the installation.  I want to know exactly the steps needed to increase the number of IVR ports to the maxium of 300 for an enhanced system!
I can refer CISOC TAC to several tickets I have opened on this subject all with unsatisactory answers!  Most recently 626743961

    Here's the long answer

Since I see below that you mentioned that the system in question is Enhanced, the answer is simply, install on faster hardware.  Presently the best hardware you can get is VMWare ESXi with the 400 Agent License OVA, which gives you 400 IVR Port Licenses.
Standard licensing works the same as Enhanced, as far as IVR Port licenses go.
If you were wondering about Premium, then it's a 1:2 ratio of agent:ports.  You cannot buy Premium ports directly, instead you buy them indirectly through the process of buying Premium Agent seats.  So if you had a Premium UCCX with 100 Agents, you would have 200 ports, and if you desired to have 250 ports, you simply buy 25 more Premium Agent seats.  Premium does still need to adhere to the hardware limits.  I have seen partners sell someone an Enhanced UCCX which gave them 300 ports, but they only had like 50 Agents.  A year later, the customer upgraded to Premuim, but only bought 50 seats, and thus downgraded their port license count to 100.  A third of what they had!  The solution?  Buy 100 more Premium Agent seats so your total goes up to 150 Agents, and thus your ports go up to 300.
Peter Buswell wrote:I have been told that the number of ports is set by the class of the machine hardware and is not a license issue.   Others have suggested it is a license issue?
These are both correct statements.  Just remember, that it's licensed based first for Premium, then hardware limited.  Standard and Enhanced are hardware limited only.
Peter Buswell wrote:At the end of the day, however, I want a step by step procedure for adding more IVR ports to my deployment.   Even if that means buying more licenses (though I can not find a SKU).
Again, for Standard and Enhanced, you need to move to bigger/better hardware to get more ports, assuming you're not already at the meximum of 400.
Here is the document which walks you through moving to bigger hardware: Disaster Recovery Guide
And for Premium, you need to purchase the SKU for a Premium Agent Seat license.  It's a 1:2 ratio for agents:ports.

I'm not a partner, nor in sales, but I thought there was an A2Q process which validates CC designs for sales people.  At any rate, it sounds like they were either under sized or outgrew their overhead, and something needs to be done.
Sometimes you can simply dump excess calls off.  Think about playing a high call volume message to callers and then drop them.
Other times you can drop them into voicemail, and come back to it later.
I've seen some basic call back functionality implemented with an external data source, which could alleviate ports.
Lastly, I've seen improperly designed scripts which loop on themselves or other scripts, causing a high port usage.
My point is that there's a few options here, outside of simply increasing the size of the server or purchasing new licenses.  There's no one size fits all answer though.
Peter Buswell wrote:Before we get into a discussion of CTI ports or Call Controll Groups, let me identify that I think they are the same.
Are you saying that CTI Ports and Call Control Groups are the same?  Or that CTI Ports/CCG's are the same as IVR Port Licenses?  Cause the former is true, while the latter is not.  Think "oversubscribed" CTI Ports.
Sometimes it is advantageous to oversubscribe your CTI Ports, to achieve a more dynamic environment.  E.g., I have 100 ports, and all 100 are used for inbound calls.  I develope a single inbound app, which is limited to 10 ports, and handles small bursts of calls.  What happens is that, if the new inbound app is running, the most it can "steal" from the inbound calls is 10 ports.  However, if the app is not running (because it doesn't run all day, it's mostly bursty in nature), I can still have my regular inbound calls go all the way up to 100.
Peter Buswell wrote:I can create a CTI Call Control Group with 300 paths, but if I only have 150 IVR ports I am in serious trouble on the 151 call!
This is true.  Again, you need to decide if you really need the extra ports, of if there is some solution to solving this problem without making a hardware/license purchase.  These kinds of problems still exist for customers at the 400 port level, and they don't have the option to "buy more."
Well, that's not entirely true.  While you cannot grow past the 400 port limit today, you could install another UCCX instance on the same CUCM cluster, effectively doubling your capacity, but breaking your administration into two separate domains.
Peter Buswell wrote:I had a lab system that installed under vmware with 150 ports.  No matter how I tried to configure the CVA it always came up 150 ports!
    What's CVA?
Peter Buswell wrote:I added a NFR license to my lab and magically it turned it into a 12 IVR system, so licensing does have something to do with it!
The NFR is most likely a Premium license.  Refer back to the 1:2 ratio, and that would tell me you have an NFR license for 6 Premium Agents.  Installing a higher level license on a lower level licensed system brings the whole system up to the higher level.  Recall my partner story about the Enhanced to Premium upgrade scenario.
Peter Buswell wrote:I have htis experience on Version 8 and now on Version 9!
The licensing doesn't change from 8x to 9x.
Peter Buswell wrote:I need more IVR ports than appear in the installation.  I want to know exactly the steps needed to increase the number of IVR ports to the maxium of 300 for an enhanced system!
You buy bigger/better hardware, and use the link I provided above for moving to that new hardware.

I would be surprised if there is a single Cisco TAC person who doesn't understand this simply IVR Port licensing model.  Perhaps there was some miscommunication about what was being asked, and what answer was being given.
I hope that helped to clarify some things for you.  Also, if you are a partner, reach out to your CAM and ask for a one on one with a UCCX guru who can sit down with you.  Cisco would want you to be successful with selling their products.

  • S820 came with no Play Store, also has language issue.

I bought an S820 in China and it has 2 problems that I cannot solve.  First, even after switching the laguage to English, much of the interface, apps, settings, etc. are still in Chinese.
Additionaly, this phone did not come with the Google Play Store installed, and I am not able to install it from the Play Store website.  Perhaps I'm doing something wrong due to the language issue, or perhaps there's some kind of license missing since this specific phone was intended for the Chinese market.
I've tried for several days to find a solution but I am coming up short.  I'd like to try a new ROM, but after searching all the various forums I can't seem to find one designed for this phone.
Can anyone please refer me to a ROM that will work for this phone, or otherwise suggest a solution?
    Thank you!

    Hi there,
Though am not an expert, will try to explain and share what I know. I have been updating my s820 to Android 4.2.2 (which is latest for this phone) ROM automatically provided by lenovo officially that means it's not rooted and no Gapps by OTA (over the air) system upgrade. They call this new one VIBE ROM and I find it fantastic!
The other way would be to manually download latest ROM from http://www.viberom.com/xiazai_s820_nk.html (sorry it's in Chinese and you must select appropriate phone, you may translate the website) into your computer, RENAME into update.zip, copy to external microSD card --> boot into recovery (from lenovo's 'system upgrade' icon), there are few yes/no and finally done!
You can also check this out http://www.needrom.com/phone-roms/lenovo/serial-s/s820/ for custom and some rooted ROMs.

  • Playing Current Time to Caller (UCCX)

Is there a way though UCCX to play the current time? What I am looking to do is have an option for system status for a caller. So a caller calls and presses opiton 8 for system status and i would like it to play the time and then it would play a prompt i recorded.
example "p[asof] p[currenttime] p[systemstatus] it would translate to "as of 9:45am the current system status is all are up" The first and thrid prompt would be recorded by me but the current time would have to be read by the system. is this possible?
thanks so much for any help
    Shawnee

Yep, you need three four things:
    a Time variable
    the Create Generated Prompt Step
    a Prompt variable
    the Play Prompt Step
Take a look at those three four things, and report back if that got you going, or if you need more help.
    EDIT: Added fourth thing

  • How do you prevent the itunes trailers from playing in a different language when traveling abroad?

I am traveling in the Dominican Republic and I was looking to download a move, but I wanted to watch the trailer first.  The trailer played well but in Spanish and I don't speak or understand Spanish.  How do I change the setting so all trailers play in English?  Does the same apply to what I download?

You can only purchase items in the iTunes store country you are physically located in and have a credit card and billing address in that country.

    You cannot change it.
Yes, it applies to previews as well as downloaded content.

  • UCCX Scripting for customer survey

    Hello All,
I have below customer survey requirement,
    First Script
    1) Call fro PSTN , called to toll free number which is land to IVR Port number at UCCX end
    2) agent will answer the call.
3)agent will ask customer to submit survey online.
    4) agent will transfer the call to trigger (eg. 2033) for customer survey , run the external script.
    Second Script
    1) Customer will get some prompt and menu option to fill the survey.
Now i am getting challenge to get the agent extension in second script  which i wanted to store in database

That's a good point.  The Calling Number value from Get Call Contact Info changes from the Agent to the Customer at the point in which the Agent completes the transfer.  If you simply played a prompt which informed the Agent when it was ok to complete the transfer, then you will have ample time to grab the Agent DN for your records.
    Call Flow of Second Script
    Start
    Accept
Get Call Contact Info to Grab Agent DN
Play Prompt "Agent DN Recorded.  Please complete transfer now"
    Delay 3 seconds
    Begin Survey

  • Multi Language pack Support

    Hi All,
I have an application that displays some information in various languages (according to the language selected), i.e english, french, german etc. Say I select english, the application will display "Hello World" in English language and so on for other languages
To achieve this functionality,I have integrated my application with SIM 7.0. please guide me how SIM will help in displaying the page as per the language selected.
i have copied the jar files of french, german to lib folder of idm. Also i have created the links for these languages at login page of SIM.
Please tell how to do it for my application page through SIM workflow.
    Thanks alot

You can not not install ISE CUE software on UC500, but only UC500 specific CUE software.
And, (I don't know if that is the case), if the language you need is supported on CUE for ISR but not on UC500 CUE, there is no solution, and you can only complain to Cisco for not having delivered the languages they had publicily promised to the public.
Furthemore to that, it apperas there is a bug in 8.6.3 that makes so mailbox caller guide is played with default system language instead of user setting langiage.

  • Video with different language audiotracks

    Hi,
do someone know a way to solve this problem:
I want to produce a video for an mobile app, which comes with three different languages.
The aim is, that there shall be one video and three different language audiotracks in the app. When the user chooses his language, the video shall play with his chosen language track. When he chooses another language, the same video shall play with the other language.
So, the videofile and the audiotracks exist independently in the app. I want NOT to put three complete versions of the video in the app, but only one videofile which shall be combined in runtime with the audio, after the user chooses his language.
    Maybe there is a way...
    Thanks
    Markus

    Hi Markus,
In Captivate 6 we have an option in the On Success Actions to "Play Audio",
So you can have just one video and three audio tracks, and 3 buttons which on click plays the corresponding audio..
If you dont have Captivate 6, then you might have to associate each audio to an object (say highlight box with transparency) and then hide or show the object when you click on the button,
Please let me know if you want more detailed steps on this..
    regards,
    Hari

  • "Service Level" defined for UCCX v8.5

One of my Service Desk Chief's are asking how Service Level is DEFINED. From the UCCX Administration Guide it states that Service Level is "the target maximum number of seconds a call is queued before it is connected to an agent". IF we are reading this correctly then the calculation DOES NOT START until after it is placed into the appropriate CSQ (since this is where the metric is located, would make sense). IF that be the case, then the time from when the call first enters the IVR/menu of the UCCX until the caller selects the appropriate option/CSQ is NOT counted in this time?
Therefore, only the time from whence the caller enters the CSQ wait until the time the call is presented to a Service Desk agent is counted (in seconds).
Please let me know if this is correct?
    Thanks!
    George Y

    Hi,
yes, it's correct. The Service Level timer is started when the call enters the CSQ.
There's a number of resources discussing various aspects of call center metrics, but the key is: the time the customer spends listening to the IVR menu and choosing what to do is the customer's time, this cannot be influenced by the call center configuration. What can be influenced is the time the customer spends in the queue (starting from the moment the customer makes up his/her mind and chooses an IVR option to the point the agent picks up the phone, or the customer hangs up).
This is the reason why the Service Level calculation takes only the number of seconds spent in the queue.
Check out the Historical Reporting Guide for your UCCX version for more details about the other columns.
