% to sales formula required in Structures _ FI Report
The Finance Profit / Loss report involves using of structures.
Structures are elements with different GL account groupings
Structure Elements Balance % to Sales
Sale 150000 100%
Materials 32000 21%
Employee Cost 23000 15%
Contribution 95000 63%
Administration cost 23500 16%
Finance Charges 8150 5%
Net Profit 63350 42%
Taxes 19005 13%

I have worked out the structure and the balance key figure. The % to Sales figure is becoming slightly difficult. Could you suggest how to work out this formula
Normalization does not serve the purpose. Could you pl. let me know how I can get the above % to Sales.

Hi,
I have a requirement similar to Siva's. But I won't use structures for my P&L statement elements. I'd like to take advantage of the cost element hierarchy, which has already been structured with the P&L statement in mind.
That way the statement wouldn't be limited to its fixed, high level aggregated form. The user might drill down into deeper detail, expanding the hierarchy in order to analyze the single cost elements.
Again, how can a percentage to the sales figure would be calculated? The sales figure is given by the cumulated balance key figure, restricted with a specific cost element hierarchy node that is known. But how to select and use that value in a BEx query?

Incomplete Sales Order requirement to MRP
How to stop transferring Blocked Sales Order requirement to MRP?
We have scenario there we entered 100 line on orders, due to one or other reason we need to block the orders and do not want to transfer the requirement to MRP till the time the particular blocked removed manually.
How to do this? There is suggestion to use VOFM - Routine for transfer requirement. But not sure as that is the solution.

Define a new delivery block whee check the Confirmation and assign the block to the order. System will not pass the requirement to the MRP.
Path: LE >>Shipping >> Deliveries >> Define reason for blocking.

Saving formula results in structures
Hi,
i built a structure to input values of a "profit and loss"-statement. The turnover, for example, is shown as a sum of three accounts:
account description
10000 Turnover 1
11000 Turnover 2
12000 Turnover 3
13000 Total Turnover (formula: account 10000 + account 11000 + account 12000)
If i open the planning-query it is possible to input values for the first three accounts and the sum in the "Total"-account is calculated.
After saving these values i tried to get just the value of the "Total"-account (13000), but got no result.
? is it possible to save the result of a formula in a cube ?

You have to have something to save the value against in the cube - i.e. with your example of a formula in a structure the system would not understand which account to save the data against.
I suppose the question is, why do you need a total? If just for reporting then you can achieve via a structure, formula or a hierarchy at runtime. Alternatively you can utilise excel's native functionality to present the calculations in a workbook and utilise 7.0's new cell referencing capabilities (=bexgetdata)
If you need the calculated value for some other purpose - e.g. you need to reference the value in a FOX formula to calculate a different value or you need to report the sum into another cube for aggregated calculations (e.g. BS / CF etc.) then you can do this by, for example, using the filters or summing within the FOX.
However, if you must have the total in the cube then create an account in the database to reflect the total, put it an input query and then either use a hierarchy with the new postable nodes functionality or a fox formula to calculate or use =bexsetdata to reference the cell you wish to save into the database
=BExSetData(cell where value is, "DATA_PROVIDER_X", column names, row names).

Problem in Formula in a structure
Hi...
I have to define a formula in a structure. This has to pick up the version value from the selection criteria. When I use the Version alone in the formula I am able to run the query and it reads the version value , but when I use it in an expression along with other variables I get a message while executing the query that it is not able to recognize the version and in the report I get the variable itself in the header instead of the value of the version.
Can any one please help me with this.

To create this scenario, you need to create a query like this.
Year -
PlnQty-ActQty-CKF1(PlnQty * ActQty)
2007 -
100-----30--
3000
2007 -
200-----50--
10000
(2008 - 2007)----200---50--
The collision occurs in the righthand bottom corner.
To get this scenario, Keep the keyfigures in the columns as usual.
But in the rows, you should not place the characters directly. Rather you have to create a structure.
1) Create a structure.
2) Right click on structure -> New selection -> Filter on year 2007.
3) Create another selection for 2008.
4) Create formulae ( 2008 - 2007 ).
Here in the advanced properties, you will be able to see formulae collision settings and you can select whether this formulae should be used in the output or the competing formulae which is mentioned in the columns.

ATP Logic for Sales Order Requirements not Confirmed
Hi Colleagues
I am running ATP with checking rules to include 'inbound shipping notifications'
We want the ATP check to calculate sales orders that are both as requirements only (Not yet confirmed) and those that are already confirmed.
We would like this so that when we are looking at Inbound monitoring we know how many orders are required and confirmed prior to running back order scheduling. Otherwise new orders can come in and steal the stock
Example prior confirmation
Material A
Stock 0
Order A Req -10 Conf 0
Order B Req -10 Conf 0
Inbound Del Req +100
ATP 100
So at present if you place a new order then the ATP ignores those orders that are not confirmed and allows the full confirmation of 100
Example after confirmation
Material A
Stock 0
Order A Req -10 Conf 10
Order B Req -10 Conf 0
Inbound Del Req +100
ATP 90
After confirmation we can place a new order for 90 because 10 are confirmed (ignoring the 10 required)
Requirement
Material A
Stock 0
Order A Req -10 Conf 10
Order B Req -10 Conf 0
Inbound Del Req +100
ATP 80
To include the requirments not confirmed and those confirmed in ATP calculation
Any ideas greatly received

ATP qty is generated against the Sales Order requirement. It is not assigned to other deliveries.
If Batch is assigned to Sales Order, it will not assigned to other deliveries.

It has already been rightly suggested to use table VBAP. You can enter the table name in transaction code SE16. You will get details of most of field of sales order - item level.

MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date
Hi experts,
We have below scenario:
Material has the stock 100. It has reorder point 3 and MRP type V2 (Automatic reorder point with external requirements) and planned delivery time 10 days.
MRP run creates purchase requisition whenever the stock falls below reorder level or/and based on customer orders requirements.
We created first sales order for Qty 80 and delivery date 03/01/2012. Qty 80 is confirmed against this sales order.
We created second sales order for Qty 50 and delivery date 01/31/2012. Now remaining Qty 20 is confirmed against this order. So we have requirements of 30 Qty for this second order.
When we run MRP, it supposes to create Purchase requisition for Qty 33 (30 + 3) including reorder point (3 Qty). As the delivery date for this order is 01/31/2012 and requirement Qty is 30, and planned delivery time is10 days, MRP run should create purchase requisition. But it is not creating.
If I change the planned delivery time to 30 days, it is creating purchase requisition. It is considering sales order delivery date of First order (delivery date: 03/01/2012), but not for second order (delivery date: 01/31/2012).
So MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date.
Appreciate your help in this regard to resolve the issue

Pricing Requirement is basically a check before a condition type populates with its value.
we define the requirement and assign this to condition type as required.
for example, you have a discount condition ZABC which should only populate when the material is delivered from Chennai plant.
If this check ( certain requiremnt which we want to get satisfied before a particular condition type populates) becomes true during sales doc. processing, then
condition type is given a Go-Ahead by the system that it can populate.
we acheive this by using parameter SY-SUBRC and set this system variable to 0 if condition is true
basic outline of the code will be like following ( one of the ways) :
IF <Condition > = TRUE
SY-SUBRC = 0
ELSE
SY-SUBRC = 4
we can also utilize the CHECK statement to acheive this.
Hope it gives an idea to understand pricing requirement.

Generally this is the material is produced against a Sales order,
They will have the Stock Categroy as E as special Stock.
They can be consumed only by the Relevant Sales order.
Mostly in Case of the MTO this is applicable.
Sales order Requirement.
This is again Sales requirements.
But it can consume any stock,
the material is not produced against any specific sales order ,
This is mostly in the MTS Scenario.

Cost component structure in copa report
HI Gurus
1We are doing REM Process and costing variant "PREM"
2. We are going for moving average price for all Material type there is no standard cost estimate
3. My client want to see the cost component structure in copa reports like
sales
exice
ram material
packing material
labour
overehad
selling and distributioh overhead
I have done all necessary setting in costing key
I have done pa trasnfer structre also
But Cost component spill is not happening in copa report
Can we get cost component struture in copa report with moving average price if yes
Please advice me how to geneate the report

Please follow the below function modules and the paramters for reading archived data:
CALL FUNCTION 'ARCHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ'

Then in the loop(DO-ENDDO), use this FM:
DO.
CALL FUNCTION 'ARCHIVE_GET_NEXT_OBJECT'

archive_handle = archive read handle
Then records from the data objects using this FM:
CALL FUNCTION 'ARCHIVE_GET_TABLE'
EXPORTING
archive_handle = archive read handle
record_structure = 'TABLENAME'
all_records_of_object = 'X'
automatic_conversion = 'X'
TABLES
table = internal table for which you want to retrieve records.
ENDDO.
Then close the archive file using this FM:
CALL FUNCTION 'ARCHIVE_CLOSE_FILE'
EXPORTING
archive_handle = archive read handle
This will help u in reading archived data from archive file.
may give some idea also on how to code the read prgram.

Copy structure of one report to another but with new set of data providers

I have a requirement to copy the entire structure of a report into another new report but the new report will have a new set of data providers.
How can we achieve this in BO V5.1.8?

First thing first Take a copy of existing report,
1.Open the report in edit mode.
2.Click on the edit query.
3.Click on the properties tab.
4.Click on the universe name and change the universe with the new one.
5.Now map the dimentions and measure of the new data provider to the old one.
6.Run the report.

Dear All,
Sales quote layout rows doubled in crystal report layout.
In sales quote layout the rows are doubled. Even in the standard layout. If the quote contains only two rows. Then it is doubled as 4 rows in the crystal report layout.
It is happening in the particular database. Other database are working fine. I request you people to help me to overcome this issue.

Created one structure with more than 50 key figures and used the option save as, provided technical name for that structure.
I want to use the same structure in second report too.But when opened second query i am not able to see the structure under srtucture tree.
