To udate data from transaction VA22 to vk11

Hi all
My exact requirement is as
First i have created sales Quotation from VA21.
Now I Have change the Price From VA22 Than at same time it should update the pricing procedure in VK11 without doing anything else.
Some people says that this is not possible to update transactional data to Master data but I think it is possible through exits as while save the data in VA22 it will update VK11. But I am not getting the exact Exit where I could write the code to update and Please suggest me if any side effect of this procedure.

If u unable to find exit with description u can do like this....just keep break-point in all the exits then click on save ...then see in which break-point is triggering there u can write the code....

i have 2 transactional planning cubes in BW. the data in these cubes in bw needs to be uploaded monthly in to a single text file so that APO system can access the data for some purpose.
my question is how to upload the data from transactional cubes to the text file, which is more detailed. is that use ful to construct a ODS or CUBE(basic) on top of the transactional cubes.
if i keep the file in BW directory whethere APO can access that.?..

You can load data directly from the BW cubes to APO if the BW system is set up as a source system.
If you need the file then you may want to investigate using open hub.

Master data from transaction data

Hi All,
I am getting data from R/3. I am also getting data from another web based application which takes its basic master data from R/3.
Now from the transaction data from the web based application(coming to BW as flat file), I am getting a field Material Class ID which desnot exist in R/3. Can I get the data of this field as master data in BW and that too as mapped to the Material from R/3.
That is to say: can I get the Material Class ID data as master data in relation to Material from R/3?
If anyone has any idea regarding this, please help me. Thanks in advance.

Not sure i understand you properly..but,
If Material and Material Class ID has the same 'meaning' then with conversions or without conversions.. you can store in the same 'material'.
But if they are differed and you have got a reference data availble you can create a attribute as mentioned and map material and material class id. So
1) Create only Material Class ID and LOAD this master data first from flat file.
2) Enhance the material master data to add this as new attribute.
3) Load the material master data and while loading fetch the material class id in the routine with the reference rules..

Quetsion about loading data from transactional infocube

Hi,
We have 4 transaction infocubes where the users data will be saved from their layouts and we have one more transaction infocube(A) where all these 4 transactionl data will saved to onecube say(A)
We also load from A- to other basic cube(B).
My questions are when
1.I load from All these 4 trnsactional cube to A - Do I need to say transactional can be planned not loading allowed.
2.When I load from A to b(basic cuvbe do I need to say - Planning cannot be allowed only laoding)

If you want to load data from planning cubes to further data target using update rules or transformation, their requests need to be green (yellow request would not load further). In this case the target transactional cube should be in loading mode. If you do not want to do these things, you can look at using a copy planning function (but remember that planning function takes more time than BW loading - this difference would be really noticeable if the data volume is large).
There are many threads on this topic - if you search, you can get more info.

Read data from transactional cube in version SEM 6.40

In an exit function of the transaction BPS0, I want to read transaction datas in a transactional cube. In version BW 2.1C - SEM 3.0A, I used the function RSDPL_CUBE_DATA_READ. Now the system is in version BW 3.5 - SEM 6.40 and the function just read datas which are in request's status 'OK' (watch transaction RSA1, 'manage' on the cube). If the request as status 'indifferent; not yet finished', the function don't read its data.
How can't I read all the transaction datas in a transactional cube.

Restamtent functionality did not help at this issue.
What we did a Copy of the Version and attached the "old" hierachy.
This was the only solution.

Hi,
You could create a multicube over your 2 transactional cubes and extract your data with a query on the multicube.
Make sure you restrict 0REQUID 'request id' using 0S_RQMRC 'most current data' to be sure you extract the most recently planned data.
No need to convert the transactional cubes to basic cubes.
To download the query I think you have to use the reporting agent of the broadcaster.

Runtime error in updating initialization data from ODS in to an Infocube

Hi experts,
i have uploaded the init request in to an ODS.Now when i am trying to update this init request by selecting <b>Update ODS Data in to data target</b> fron the context menu of ODS I am getting Short dump saying:
MESSAGE_TYPE_X" C
SAPLRSSM" or "LRSSMU36"
RSSM_OLTPSOURCE_SELECTIONS.
furthermore as i am udating data from an ODS to infocube, would the esource system be my BW system it self.
Please help me ASAP.

thanks for your help.it has probably solved the problem i was previously facing but now when i am trying to schedule the update , it is getting faild along with following error message:
The InfoSource 80FIGL_O02 specified in the data request, is not defined in the source system.
the system suggest following solution :
In the Administrator Workbench of the Business Information Warehouse, update the metadata for this source system, and delete the InfoPackages belonging to InfoSources that no longer existing .
I tried it by replicating datasource but it has not solved the problem.
Please Help ASAP.

How can I load data from a transactional ODS to an InfoCube?(BW 3.1)

I have tried the solution proposed here on SDN when the 8<OSD_NAME> infosource is to be used, but there is no infosource with the such name in my infosource tree(however the data source exists). May be, it is the issue of my BW version (3.1). Has someone implemented that scenario:

You don't need to export Datasource, It's System Generated.
You can also try this.
In order to transfer data from a transactional ODS object into further data targets, first create update rules from ODS object to the datatarget you want to update. During the update rule creation, select the transactional ODS object as the infosource. For the transactional ODS objects "Update Data in Data Targets" option is not available in the context menu of the ODS object, so you have to manually create infopackage to transfer data.
Go to the infosources tab in the administrator workbench and create infopackage for the system generated export datasource (technical name is 8<technical name of the ODS>). Then you can just execute the infopackage to load data into subsequent data targets, but please keep in mind only full upload is possible (no delta upload) with transactional ODS objects.

switch radio button to 'Show generated ODS objects'.
then search for the generated export datasource(8<ods technical name>).

Fetching longtexttab details from Transaction BP at Runtime

hi,
my requirment is to fetch teh longtext data from transaction BP.
i have tried using READ_TEXT. but its displaying as entries not found.
pls provide some pointer on it.
my requirement is after the user enters in BP transaction and clicked the
save button i need to capture the longtext.

I think i have given different FM for this context.
If your requirement is to get the long text before it is getting saved to data base i think you can try out the following steps:
1. Put the Breakpoint in FM CRM_BUPA_BDOC_BPS_FILL_DATA when you save BP.
2. There in one line there will be a call to Subroutine find_all_bps.
3. This sub routine is present in the program LCRM_BUPA_MWX_BDOC_OUTBOUNDF01.
4. Form here there will be a call to subroutine chk_longtext_bp.
5. Here you can be able to get the long text which is about to be saved.
6. This subroutine is in program LCRM_BUPA_MWX_BDOC_OUTBOUNDF16.
I hope this will get you the long text from BP transaction before saving to the database.

Hi,
I will suggest you to check a few places where you can see the status
1) SM37 job log (give BIrequest name) and it should give you the details about the request. If its active make sure that the job log is getting updated at frequent intervals.
2) SM66 get the job details (server name PID etc from SM37) and see in SM66 if the job is running or not. See if its accessing/updating some tables or is not doing anything at all.
If its running and if you are able to see it active in SM66 you can wait for some time to let it finish.
3) RSMO see what is available in details tab. It may be in update rules.
4) ST22 check if any short dump has occured.
You can also try SM50 / SM51 to see what is happening in the system level like reading/inserting tables etc.
If you feel its active and running you can verify by checking if the number of records has increased in the cube.

There are some transactions and report programs which are used daily to produce some results and the requirement is to extract that data into BW
so how can we extract information from a transactions and programs
Any help will be really appreciated and ofcourse rewarded ...

You can use the following methods
Method 1:
1> Create another ABAP program with logic to calculate all the fields, but instead of writing the result data to screenm, it should store it in a internal table and pass it to the extract structure.
2>Create a InfoSet query based on your ABAP program and use that InfoSet
3> Create a DataSource based on this InfoSet query and extract data from the DS to you ODS/Cube
In this method there is no Intermediate storage used.
Method 2:
1> Modify the report/transaction program to store the required data into a Transparent Table (u can create one from SE11) in addition to displaying on the screen.
2> Create a View on this transparent table (from SE11)
3> Create a DataSource on that view and extract data from that into your ODS/Cube.
Here, the required data is stored in the Table in addition to the DataTarget.
But, to implement either of these solution, you will need a decent ABAP knowledge. Else, it will give you a tough time!

By selection screen, what do you mean? There is no selection screen in WDA as there was in classic dynpro. Do you mean you are using the Select-Options reusable component? Are you wanting to call a standard transaction via ITS - SAPGUI for HTML? Please provide more details to your question.

Error while loading transaction data from an Infoprovider Mapping C_ACCT

We are implementing BPC Consolidation for NetWeaver 7.5, and we're facing the following situation:
We have loaded master data from 0RC_ACCOUNT (group account) to our dimension C_ACCT without a problem, but when we run the loading package from an infoprovider 0FIGL_C10 (Transactional Data), the following error message appear:
Dimension: Member C_ACCT: 000 not valid
We already check data in source InfoProvider and there's no record with 000 account value.
Any suggestions?
