If you pay attention to the clothes Lara is wearing in each game, it's easy to know the correct order storywise. Remember that flashback Lara had in Tomb Raider Legend, when she was in Peru? The flashback of when she went on that expedition with Amanda and a group of other fellow archeologists? Well, if you look at her outfit in the flashback, it is identical to the one she is wearing in Anniversary, but because she doesn't have any guns, it's safe to assume that the events portrayed in said flashback predate the events from Tomb Raider Anniversary, but, because she is still wearing in Tomb Raider Anniversary the same outfit she was in the events of the flashback, it is also safe to assume that Anniversary's timeline is also prior to the events from Tomb Raider Legend. Besides, Zip and Allister are not in Anniversary, so you can assume she only hired them later in Legend. And because their presence is continuous in Legend and Underworld, it would make no sense for Lara to get rid of them in Anniversary and rehire them in Underworld. Ergo, the correct order is Anniversary, then Legend, then Underworld. Happy gaming! Great advice, except OP is probably dead by now. He posted this back in 2012!Still to this day my favourite TR game is underworld. Such a great game.

  • To Creative: Audigy LS has major issues with Tomb Raider Lege

    Hi,
I tried playing Tomb Raider Legend and turns out
that the Audigy LS card can't play audio properly in this game..
The sounds cracks, booms, buzzes and produces hiss etc.
Honestly it makes my ears bleed if I listen to it for too long.
At first I thought this was only a problem with my card, since I didn't
find anything related to this issue here at creative boards, but turns out
many other forums (several French and German boards)
got ppl complaining about this problem.
Also the 24-bit Li've! card seems to have issues with TR:Legend so that makes me think
the drivers are inadequate since both of these cards share same drivers.
AC97 works for now, but changing back and forth between audigy card and
on-board AC97 is quite tedious process to do just to play this one game.
    Dear Creative team,
please respond and introduce a fix to this problem.Message Edited by Anvirol on 04-07-2006 07:06 PM

Squeal Of Death does occur in Tomb Raider Legend. I've finished the game and it happened to me 3 times forcing me to reboot the computer. It even occured while I was in the menu.
But this is not uncommon for my computer though. I used to have many probs with my audigy2 zs while playing games like wow, mohpa and especially bf2.
The point is Squeal of death DOES occur to X-Fi models also, which I currently own after selling my audigy2 zs. Bf2 doesn't lock up anymore (at least for now) and I thought that the problem was gone until I played Tomb Raider Legend.
So if u ask me creative cards are to blame for the prob but only partly though. The squeal and lock up of the pc used to occur more often when I had audigy2 zs. Now it only occurs in TR Legend-for the time being. And of course bf giving away my old card I had tried all possible sollutions.
    My specs are
    Athlon64 3000+
    MSI K8N2 Platinum
    2*52 Kingston value Ram
    2*80GB Seagate Raid 0
    Creative XFi Extreme Music
    2 Optical Dri'ves
    Modem
Nothing is o/c and all pci slots are taken-no conflicts.Message Edited by forwardS on 04-5-2006 07:02 AM

  • Tomb Raider Definitive Edition - Xbox One

I live in Richmond, VA and I have been trying to find copies of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for the Xbox One.  Every store I went to says that they don't have the game in stock and don't have any info on if they will ever get a copy.
Today they found a single copy for me at a store that's more than an hour away (Virginia Beach).  Is this expected?
I was just a bit offput because I wanted to buy the game and the employees in the stores seemed confused that they would not get copies of a new game.

    Hello masenkablast,
Tomb Raider Definitive Edition has been pretty popular since it was released two weeks ago. It can be difficult to say precisely when stores will get new shipments of certain titles and I apologize if your closest stores don’t currently have any.
One thing to keep in mind is that there are two SKUs for the Xbox One version. The first one, SKU 3201119, was initially only available for pre-order and I don’t expect stores to receive more. The second, SKU 3098037, should be replenished at stores, it’s just hard to say when the Richmond, VA area will get more. While it may not be available in your nearest store right now, it looks like there is the ship-to-store option to have one sent there specifically for you.
Hopefully you’re able to get a copy soon, and please feel free to let me know if you have any additional questions.
    Sincerely,

  • Tomb Raider requirements

Hello Forum! I need help playing the new Tomb Raider game!  The problem is, it appears that I don't have the system requirements. in short...
I have a mid 2009 macbook pro unibody
-Processor: 2.66GHz intel Core 2 Duo
    -Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
-Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
    -OSX 10.9.4
-A storage drive upgrade to a 1TB hybrid SATA disk
The problem is this... The graphics card is not up to the games requirements, which is 512 MB.  I have found a card at iFixit, which is a Dual Graphics:
A bump up to 2.8 GHZ processor
    AND
    the dual graphics cards:
    NVIDIA GeForce 9400M
NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT with 512 MB of GDDR3 VRAM
There is one more problem:  The game says it doesn't support the NVIDIA 9000 series card!!!! AAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!!
Is there any way I can make this work.  I haven't bought the game or any other upgrades.... yet. I don't want to blow money on something worthless.  I plan on upgrading the RAM and have no problem upgrading my logic board, or anything else.  Is there a way to get a different graphics chip/card to go on the board? How can I make this work!!!!?????
Thank you all so much for your help.

    Hello Rvlvr_OcelScott,
I am sorry to hear that your order was not fulfilled in accordance with the process we put in place for this title.  It was not our intent for orders to be cancelled when submitted for in-store pickup.  I am glad you were able to find the Limited Edition game that you were seeking, and I hope we are able to provide you with a better shopping experience in the future.
    Sincerely,

  • PS4 News RISE OF THE TOMB RAIDER PS4

Good Evening Folks, Your weekly update on everything Playstation - Check it out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1yV01PMsCg

Am no Tomb Raider fan but things like this is really annoying. Things like timed exclusives and exclusive DLC needs to stop. Can't say Sony are doing things like this though. Xbox players won't get to play Shenmue 3 even thought Shenmue 2 was on Xbox and not PlayStation. Also Final Fantasy World and 7 Remaster may not be coming to the Xbox One. If it does they will have to wait for a good amount of time just like Tomb Raider fans on PS4. Absolute no one wins when it comes to timed exclusive games. I can't see this game selling millions of XB1 consoles. By the time it hit's PS4 unless it launches as a PS+ free title anyone who wanted to play it most likely would of. So SE would of missed out on some sales.

  • If I get windows boot camp will I be able to play Tomb raider and Sims 3

I an getting a new laptop for school but I also what to play games like that new Lara Croft and the sims 3.  I have heard about windows boot camp.
I think I want this retina model
    5-inch: 2.3GHz
    with Retina display
    2.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i7
    Turbo Boost up to 3.3GHz
    8GB 1600MHz memory
    256GB flash storage1
    Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M with 1GB of GDDR5 memory
    Built-in battery (7 hours

Windows Boot Camp does not exist, you mean Boot Camp Assistant, which is a Mac program, it is the program you would use to prepare your Mac to run Windows.
You will need a 64bit retail or OEM version of Windows Home or Professional.
You will also need to read the Boot Camp Documentation thoroughly, and make a complete backup of your machine before repartitioning.

  • Rise of the Tomb Raider Preorder DLC ?

Preordered the game a month ago and I wanted to make sure that I will receive the sparrowhawk pack because it is actually included as an add-on on the order screen unlike a month ago.

When this happens, those who pre-ordered before the bonus was added will not have the Digital Code as a visible item on the order. Furthermore, the only time you’d need to cancel and replace your pre-order is if said pre-order bonus is a physical item, such as a SteelBook...

  • Can I dock my windows Laptop with IMAC?

    Hi,
This would have been a no possibly even 3 years ago, but with the development of common software protocols allowing a flourishing application market, is it now possible for me to dock my Windows PC with a new IMAC. To the extent that the MAC is actually driving things using its OS.
    4 Reasons:-
The first reason for wanting to use the Apple OS, is the fault of my overzealous company security settings which when in full flow like they are now on "Virus Scan Thursday" runs up about 90% of the RAM to the point is can take 5 minutes to open a basic forecasting sheet.
The second one is:- after using IPAD day to day for the past three years I can honestly say its one of the most intuitive devices to use, especially Numbers and Keynote. No more googling for formulas. To make my point about its simplicity, I draw your attention to Excels Autosum function which i'm sure you can remember is the Sigma symbol, so poor a symbol is it, that MS have to translate and scribe the words AutoSum in every common language known to man next to it, you opted for the = sign.
The third reason is:- Windows just seems so thrown together now that it might, and quite often does stop working and self destructs. A little bit like the Vauxhall Victor X type did in the 60's. Let me explain what I mean. Take the three next gen consoles on the market, Sony PS4, MS XBOX ONE, and the Nintendo WII U. My boys and are fortunate enough (my bonus payment not so lucky) to have the latter 2-following subsequent visits from a white bearded fellow. I like the shooty brash environments that are driven up in games like COD, which to be fair is the only real game on XBOX ever that I've played since getting over the shock that I could connect with other people over the planet and play them. Anyway before I run off track onto a rose-tinted day when me an my brother would divide the screen up into two sections using cardboard. When playing Goldeneye on the N64; one of us laying prone, one of us sat in an inflatable plastic sofa, both pair of eyes glued to the action on their OWN PORTION of the screen. The cardboard acting like the plastic piece separating two battleship players, neither one knowing the others position. But for the Xbox that's about it, the other games developers don't seem to get the game-play over graphics argument. In the case of some its either far-far too complex for concern, I'm thinking about those driving games with the flash cars and exquisite level of detail in the telemetry and how that car handles. Realistically how many of us have the time to play a full 24 hour Le - Mans - Grand Prix with all of the automatic, car control gadgets switched off. To the complete opposite where the game-play is sooooooo simple, take the reboot of tomb raider which took around 12 hours to clock with all of the collectables. Then you have thousands of apps to contend with. Zune, Music player, etc all bolted onto a bastardised win 8 setup. Then look at Nintendo, and its OS its refined and things seem to work, the published games are always excellent and playable by any age. The new Yoshi wool world looks amazing but it has the complexity of the stardome on Mario world.
The fourth and final reason is, it would probably save me 5 - 10 minutes a day swapping files over email etc etc... But, Its 5 minutes more I can spend with my boys practising their footballing skills and acting out their other ambitions, so that one day they don't have to worry about the appalling 1st world plight of interoperability problems between Windows and Apple! which like Oasis and Blur from Britpop England in the 90's and Love it or Hate it Marmite, realised that being ever so slightly different and arguing a bit about the relative merits of the new stuff, cautiously publicly insulting each other whilst really being squash buddies would ensure massive success for both of them!

  • HP Envy 15-j075nr - Issues with gaming performance (slow-motion gaming)

    SPECS:
    Display: 15.6" diagonal HD BrightView LED-backlit display (1366 x 768)
    Memory: 8GB installed memory
Hard drive: 750GB 5400RPM hard drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
Processor: AMD Elite Quad-Core A10-5750M Accelerated Processor
    Operating system:Windows 8
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 8650G graphics with up to 4204MB total graphics memory
Running on the exact specs above, I'm playing games via Steam (Tomb Raider, Saints Row IV, Dishonored, etc) and have had to compromise video/display quality settings  just to get the games to play correctly. Most games have an auto-detect feature for display and audio settings and in each instance the games are set to Ultra or High settings. But when I begin to the play the games with the default settings that games are extremely slow, though the graphics look great.
Given the specs above and the fact that the games auto detect at the highest or near to the highest settings, might I have an issue with my current system settings that I could tweak in order to get a higher quality gaming experience? I feel like these settings are definitely good enough to get at least HIGH display quality, but that has yet to work.

    Hi @trickster878
I understand you are having performance issues with games on your notebook computer, but really notebook computers for the most part are not intended to be gaming machines. Their design focus is more to be light weight and portable while also providing the ability to run for two hours or more without a power connection when fully charged.
Many of the things that make for a good gaming machine are sacrificed in a notebook. All that being said, it is possible to play many games on notebooks, but rarely as well as it would work on a desktop computer.
It is likely that you can tweak the settings to get a compromise that is more playable, but it is often a robbing Peter to pay Paul situation. Something may have to be sacrificed.
You can take a look at these pages and see if anything helps.
Computer Locks Up or Freezes When Playing a Game
HP PCs - Improving System Performance without Adding Memory (Windows 8)
Otherwise, you would probably need to look at the video settings in each of the games you are trying to play. The settings will need to be customized for each of them, and you may have to look at the pages/forums for the individual game to see which setting may have to be changed internal to that game.

    Overclocking Guide
Disclaimer: Overclock at your own risk!
Data and information provided in this guide are for informational and educational purposes only, and are not intended for trading purposes. Neither MSI nor any of this thread’s authors shall be liable for any errors or delays in the content or be held responsible for any damage caused by modifying or overclocking your computer. Manufacturers may or may not honor the warranty on any overclocked or modified computer components. Perform any modifications to your systems at your own risk.
    Why Overclock?
Today, overclocking is not any secret. It has become more popular and almost become an addiction to some people. The definition of Overclocking is simple: it means operating an Integrated Circuit beyond its specified clock speed.
But why overclock? Some people say to get more out for the same money. “It’s there; why not get more out of it?” However, the best business reason for overclocking is that it can make “out of date” equipments useful again. If the equipment is already out of warranty, the risk is very limited. (I personally suggest any beginners to overclock any out of date PC first just to have some first time experience.)
Know more about the Central Processing Unit (CPU)
Processor speed is based on two factors. The first is the interface between the motherboard and the front side bus (FSB). From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page (Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia), FSB is the speed at which the CPU communicates with RAM (memory). Many system components - including the PCI and AGP buses usually run at speeds derived from the frontside bus' speed. In general, a faster frontside bus means higher processing speeds and a faster computer. The other factor controlling a CPU's speed is the clock multiplier. It defines the ratio of processor speed to the FSB.
The FSB on new processors ranges from 400 MHz to 800 MHz. These are not straight clock speeds but instead they are quad-clocked speeds. These processors actually transmit data four times per clock cycle, for example, 800 MHz FSB is actually four times the 200MHz clock (200 MHz x 4 = 800 MHz).
The core speed of the CPU is the product of the front side bus clock and the multiplier. A processor running at 3600MHz (i.e. 3.6 GHz) might be having 800 MHz FSB, this means there is a clock multiplier setting of 4, and thus the CPU is set to run at 4 times the MHz speed of the front side bus.
But we said earlier that they are quad-clocked speeds, so 3600 MHz actually came from 18 times 200 MHz (200 MHz x 18 = 3600 MHz).
Please note that not all processors have quad-clocked speed FSB. For example, the Intel Pentium 4 (Northwood core) has quad-clocked speed FSB. But for example, the Intel Pentium III, AMD Athlon XP and AMD Duron have dual-clocked speed FSB only.

    Let’s lock the clock multiplier
Few years ago, you could overclock processors by choosing a higher multiplier. This option was eliminated in order to fight CPU remarking. Counterfeit processors have regularly appeared in the market, as the CPU speed was only defined by your setting. Nowadays, the restriction to only one multiplier is both of overclocking and counterfeit prevention.
As you can see, the only way of overclocking today is choosing a higher front side bus clock and the offer of small increments e.g. 1MHz in today's motherboards give us a great advantage in overclocking.
However, some CPUs nowadays are still unlocked, for example, the AMD Athlon MP and AMD Athlon64 families. And some motherboard companies offer the chance to unlock the Pentium 4 (Socket 775 CPUs only) overclocking potential by using special bios, for more please read:
    http://www20.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20040916/index.html
    Look at your motherboard
Before you overclock anything, have a look if your motherboard can overclock CPU. Look at the CPU installation section in the motherboard manual. Normally you will find either BIOS setup options or jumpers on the motherboard that allow you to adjust the FSB, CPU voltage, PCI/AGP ratio etc.
If you have a computer that came from a major manufacturer like HP, it is likely that your motherboard does not provide any overclocking function although it is very rare nowadays.
    You need more Power!
This is also the time to check the power supply in your computer. Like a car, speed requires power, and unstable power inevitably leads to unstable processors, so I would recommend the power supply has to be at least 350 Watts. You can find six power supply guides in this forum below:

Both Intel and AMD processors are power hungry, consuming 40 to 100 watts (e.g. the new Prescott) of power. Also, your graphics card may take another 55 watts of power. Now you are consuming more than 100 watts of power for merely two components in your system.
You can also voltmod your Power Supply Unit, for more please read:
    http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/other/display/psu-voltmodding.html
    Using higher voltages
Today, almost each processor can be run faster than the speed it was labeled for. This applies even more if you raise the core voltage a little bit. This is just like a car running at higher speed requires more power. But this is one of the “riskiest” aspects of overclocking - by using too much power you could burn your CPU. You should always raise the voltage step by step and never go higher than 15% beyond the specification. This way it is quite easy to get a faster system without risking the processor. Apart from raising the voltage of the CPU, similarly you can raise the voltage of memory as well. One problem is of course the increasing chip temperature, so cooling is very important. We will cover that later.
    Memory Speed
Memory speed is often tied to the FSB. For example, a Double Data Rate (DDR) 400 memory has frequency 200MHz and the module rating is PC3200. Half the performance increase you may see from overclocking a CPU comes from increasing the speed at which the processor can talk to the memory.
When you buy memory, you may see it has label 2-3-3-7-1T. And you may also hear people saying my memory is a 2-3-3-7 one. But what does it mean? The answer is:
CAS Latency = 2 clock cycles
tRCD = RAS to CAS delay = 3 clock cycles
tRP = RAS Precharge = 3 clock cycles
tRAS = Active to Precharge = 7 clock cycles
Command Rate = 1 clock cycle
Different motherboards may call the above differently and not all of them will appear in the BIOS. You may need to check with your motherboard’s support team and the motherboard manual. If you have any option above in your BIOS, you can also start to adjust them. Obviously, the smaller the number the faster the memory will be.

    Video Card
To overclock video card, we need a third party utility to overclock the card. Although increasing numbers of manufacturers include utilities to allow customers to overclock their cards in their drivers or through an extra application, most of them do not provide this facility. Simply because overclocking stresses the system and voids manufacturer warranties. Third party utilities tend to be universal that they work on different cards irrespective of manufacturers.

    [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NVTweak]
    "Coolbits"=dword:ffffffff
    "NvCplEnableHardwarePage"=dword:00000001
    "NvCplEnableAGPSettingsPage"=dword:00000001
Save it as agpsetting.reg to your desktop or anywhere you like. Then run it and it will give you all the hidden options from Nvidia which include extra resolution settings for your desktop and overclocking for both the memory and core.

    Get the temperature down
Cooling is probably the most important aspect of overclocking. Overclocking causes circuits to cycle faster, generating more heat. If the CPU is not cooled properly, your CPU will not run reliably and there is a very good chance that you will permanently damage your CPU.
The heat sink and fan unit that Intel and AMD ship with its CPU are fairy good. However, for maximum stability, we need to get something better than that. For example, for CPU fans, we have Vantec Tornado, Thermaltake volcano 7+, CoolerMaster Aero 4 and Zalman CNPS7000A-AlCu etc.
Be sure that the cooling solution you choose is specifically designed for your processor. Improperly mounting a heat sink, using the wrong model can damage your processor.
Also, the airflow in the case is very important. If heat cannot escape the case, the CPU is still at risk. Thus, more case fans are needed apart from the power supply's exhaust fan. Tidying up the cables inside the case can help too. In addition, clearing the dust in the case by using canned compressed air can enhance the airflow but never use vacuum cleaner as it may generate electrostatic and harm the IC components.

    Overclocking Process
Essentially, overclocking processors consists of increasing the FSB in the BIOS, booting the computer, and then testing for stability. You repeat the process until you identify the maximum stable speed.
In case your board offer 1 MHz-increments (which most of your boards do), you have the chance to find out the maximum clock speed by slowly closing in on the final limit MHz for MHz. Of course this cannot be done in an hour, but you will have to spend one or two days just playing with different clock speed settings. In the end you should have your CPU running at the highest possible core speed. The Most important thing to remember is that you must go Slowly!
Also, you can overclock the processor by using software although it may not be as effective as overclocking using the motherboard BIOS. Such software includes:

Bear in mind that if the processor is capable of a 20-percent or more speed increase say, it is unlikely that your video card or memory can have the same amount of increase. And the one thing that you must remember to do if you overclock the FSB is to Set (i.e. Lock) your AGP/PCI Buses, to as close to their Default Frequencies as Possible (to PCI bus at 33 MHz and the AGP port at 66 MHz for example), or you will most definitely experience problems across the whole board e.g. your graphics card, onboard sound and IDE channels may start giving you data and other errors.
    Test for Stability and Benchmarking
The purpose of testing is to apply a heavy workload to every aspect of your system to ensure that there are no hidden problems and stability issue. You can do testing by using special testing suites, software and games. The aim of benchmarking is to measure the performance of your system. In overclocking, benchmarking can tell you how far the system’s performance has increased when you adjust certain settings.
For a test suite, you may try Winbench, which you can download from:

    I tried to overclock my p4. 2,66ghz to 3.18ghz.
l increased the cpu fsb only since the multiplier is fixed at 20x.
l tried to change it but couldn´t.
l then increased my cpu voltage from 1.525v to 1.732v.
At 3.2ghz, the computer was on and restarts automatically, so l turned it to 3.18ghz.
does it mean the cpu will not overclock further or l need a new cooler?
I did not overclock anything except the fsb.
    any help?
I have a 2.6C Northwood pentium 4 on an MSI 875P Neo2-FISR mobo.  On air I'm able to get it to about 3.14Ghz stable.  I don't believe it's a good idea to go past 1.6 for the voltage, from what I've read, voltage doesn't help too much with the northwoods.
I can overclock mine higher without any significant changes in temperatures, but the overclocks aren't stable and the system freezes up from time to time.  I'm using Kingston HyperX PC4000 DDR, which can run at up to 500mhz, so I can do a 1:1 ratio on the overclock.  I'm using a modular 500-watt power supply, Arctic Silver 5 and a huge honking Swiftech heatsink with an 80mm fan.

First off it started when I noticed my mouse pointer was acting very weird, it was just a vertical line of dots.  A forum said an easy fix to the problem was to update my GPU drivers, which I needed to do anyway.  So after an update to the GPU drivers
I log into my computer (which is password protected, this is slightly important to remember) and I try to go to youtube.  I click down at the start menu to type in chrome and nothing appeared.  I was able to move the mouse around and click on things
but I was unable to type anything.
Luckily for me I have a laptop as well so I checked for any solutions on my laptop and they said that it was a problem with the model of my keyboard specifically  This was odd to me considering most of the problems happened OTB for the keyboard and not
a month after use, plus I was able to plug it into my laptop and it worked just fine.  When I plugged it back into my desktop it gave me the same problem: I couldn't type anything, I also noticed the little pop-up informing me that the USB device was
not recognized.  "Well, great, time to get my backup keyboard," I thought to myself.  Except, that was not the case either.  I plugged my backup keyboard into every single USB port on my Computer Tower, even going so far as to unplug
the mouse.  Absolutely nothing was working.  I constantly restarted my computer and each time got the same problem; I'm able to type in my password to log in and then a few minutes after that the USB device stops working.  Sometimes after plugging
one of the keyboards back into a USB port I would get a message saying it was installing drivers; and then would fail in installing any.
After a bit I navigate through the menus with just my mouse and do a system restore to before the GPU drivers were installed.  After that, I started windows in SafeMode and then turned my computer off.  Finally, I unplugged my computer completely
of all plugs (including my power plug), waited a few minutes, then plugged everything back in again.  Amazingly, this fixed the problem, but then it got worse.
After about an hour of gaming, my computer BSOD's, most likely because I decided to alt+tab out of Tomb Raider during a loading screen to stop a video I had on.  I restart my computer again, and then the problem returns, only this time absolutely
no USB devices work except my one keyboard.  The backup keyboard, and both my regular mouse and backup mouse stop working a few minutes after logging in.  I try to fix the problem like before, but to no avail.  Any USB device I plug in either
gives me the "USB device not recognized" or attempts to install the drivers and then fails.
If there is ANY way to fix this problem, it would be greatly appreciated.

Try cleaning the connector on the bottom of the phone. Use a magnifying glass to see what is stuck inside, a dry toothbrush and/or wood or plastic toothpicks (nothing metal). If that doesn't resolve the problem your phone is broken.
