Too many pixels distance between iview and Desktop Innerpage

Hi,
how can I configure the distance in pixels between iviews on a page and the desktop innerpage? In my case, the distance is around 20 pixels from iView tray to TLN. Anyone?

Yikes! Sounds like your computer is having a difficult time rendering the icons. Fortunately there are steps you can take.
If it were me, I'd boot into Single User Mode (power off, power on, then hold Command + S till you see white on black text).
I'm making a couple of assumptions here. The first is that you want to delete all these RAR files for good. The second is that these files are all named similarly, something like rar1, rar2, rar3, etc.
Then type the following:
/sbin/mount -uw /
cd /Users/yourusername/Desktop
rm -rf rarname* (NOTE: here, this is assuming all the files start with something similar, like 'rarname', and then have a number on the end. By using the wildcard (*), we don't have to type each filename, as 'rarname*' applies to every file on the Desktop that starts with 'rarname'. Hopefully that makes sense! Just replace 'rarname' with whatever the files start with. If you aren't sure, before this command, type 'ls' and you'll get a list of all the files on the Desktop.)
This should permanently delete all the files on the desktop. You can then type 'reboot' and the computer will start up normally. Good luck! If anything is unclear, feel free to let me know before attempting this.

Histogram giving too many pixels

I am using photoshop to design rugs and i have to get an accurate percentage for each colour used in the design so that the rug makers can dye the correct amounts of wool.
I am simply converting the image to indexed colour and making sure that if it is a three colour rug there are only three indexed colours in the design.
then i am selecting colours using the magic wand and working working out from the histogram what percentage of the image this colour is by dividing the number of pixels selected ,by the noncontiguous non anti aliased magic wand, by the total pixels in the image.
most of the time this is working fine, but sometimes one area of colour will clearly be read as having far too many pixels, sometimes even more pixels than are read in the image as a whole.
I don't understand why this is happening, there are no layers in the image, surely this should be really straightforward?

If you want to give a Script a try, paste the following text into a new file in ExtendScript Toolkit (part of Photoshop’s installation, Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities/ExtendScript Toolkit CS4 or /Applications/Utilities/Adobe Utilities-CS5/ExtendScript Toolkit CS5) and save it as a jsx-file into Photoshop’s Presets/Scripts-folder.
After restarting Photoshop the Script should be available under File > Scripts and can be assigned a Keyboard Shortcut directly, recorded into an Action, (in CS4 and CS5) be used in a Configurator-Panel or started from ExtendScript Toolkit directly.
Edit: Quickmask might be a better way to avoid crowding the History, so I’m changing the code.

When frequently switching between mobile and desktop view

When I frequently switching between mobile and desktop view I have to open the layers every time since they get closed/collapsed. Adobe may need to fix it for the next version.

You can use CTRL+# to switch between Code and Design View.

how to get the distance between user and the kinect ??
i found a function but it's in kinect v1

There is no hipCentre in Kinect v2 SDK. Have a look at
JointType Enumeration. There you can see all the available JointTypes. I am using the
SpineBase , because users may lean from time to time. So
return body.Joints[JointType.SpineBase].Position.Z;
should give you a nice distance. Keep in mind, that even the smallest changes will affect this value. So if you want to check for a distance, you might want to use a threshold or even joint accumulation.

Moving Music Videos between laptop and desktop

I have purchased 4 music videos from iTunes store. They are on my laptop. I was travelling on business and wanted to try out the new music videos.
Now that I am home and using my Dual G5 desktop, how do I move or share these videos off my laptop top to my desktop? Is there any way to sync two iTunes libraries to keep them the same. Since I own both laptop and desktop seems rather stupid to not be able to do this.
I really just started using iTunes when the video part was released, so I maybe overlooking something really easy to fix this issue.
I have turned on iTunes music library sharing on the laptop but only audio music is shown when viewing from my iTunes desktop. No videos are listed. I event made a playlist folder on my laptop called Videos and copied the videos into this list.
The list "Video" shows up when looking from my desktop, but no vidoes are listed in the playlist.

I have the very same situation as many others do, so I've asked the very same question to an Apple Genius at the Manhattan Village Store in CA, and the answer is no. Why? You can have multiple iPods connected to a single computer, but not multiple computers connected to a single iPod. The reason for that is DRM.
Your best bet is to keep both libraries synched using apps like "You Synchronize" or "Folder Synchroniser", this way you'll have the same library across both Macs, and you can use any one as a Master for your iPod. Works for me!

Eventing between iView and nested iView

I try to make an Event between an iView and an nested iView. I followed the instruction on page 164 in the reference guide and tried some other things, but it doesn´t work. I make an output Port on the one side, there i could select the fields to be displayed. But when I compose the Input Port , there are no field to see.
So what make I wrong?

the main thing about the desired eventing seems to be that when you have placed your data service in the nested iview you have to create a signal-in port<b> by pulling a data connection out of the input port of the data service</b> to create the input-port of your nested iView. Only this way, the port is filled with the input data of the data service.
Back in your main iView you can connect the data flow to the newly created port of your nested iView the same way as you connect to a data service. You then should see the input fields of the data service that you placed in the nested iView and be able to assign values to the input fields.

Synchronisation between web and desktop doesn't work anymore (update)

Before today, I could synchronize my files between Web and my Desktop. It doesn't work anymore.
It tells me "Available soon"... It worked fine until today...

OK so just how connected are iPhones and desktop Macs now? I ask because I just deleted mail from my iPhone and it [seemed] as if the same mail was deleted from my iMac. And this was not mail using my iCloud addy.

Yes that is what I observed.
There have been other strange things going on with Mail on both the iPhone and the iMac so I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was one of them, but still I thought I might get a hint on this problem.

Open your current Firefox settings (AKA Firefox profile) folder using
Help > Troubleshooting Information > "Show Folder" button
Copy all sessionstore files (e.g., sessionstore.bak, sessionstore.js) to a safe location (e.g., your Documents folder). Whatever was saved before is in one or both of those files.
This problem of a window sometimes loading the correct number of tabs but the tabs not being navigated to the corresponding pages has been mentioned before, but I do not recall anyone identifying what causes it or how to solve it. If Firefox saved the URLs of those pages, they will be in one or both of those sessionstore files.
These threads have suggestions on how to "mine" the old file to extract the URLs:

WindowsPhone Lync 2013 - No message sync between phone and desktop apps

If Lync is running on my phone and desktop, incoming messages appear in both clients. However, messages I send are not reflected in the other client. This means that if I have a conversation from my phone, when I return to my desk all I see in the conversation
window are the incoming messages.
Skype handles message sync across all clients, Why doesn't Lync?

Is it possible to increase the distance between iMac and wi-fi router?

My Mac cannot connect to the wifi router at over 9 feet but my ipod touch and laptop can. I need the wi-fi to work at min distance 15 feet from router for room position of iMac desktop and router position.

I would suspect a problem with the antennae on the router. Have you tried another one to see if they distance improves?

Matching Notes formatting between iPhone and desktop

Ever since I switched from Marker Felt to Helvetica as the Notes font on my phone, I've had trouble getting the text to display in a consistent manner between the phone and my desktop after notes are synced (via iCloud). For example if I make a note on the phone, the type lines up cleanly on the lines. But if I make any changes, type sizes change and are inconsistent within the note itself, and type no longer diplays anchored to aline, but rather sort of floats above or below. I've tried every Helvetica font size in Mail's preferences for Notes, but nothing works right. Has anyone else had this problem?
