Too many recursive statements in PRO*C in comparing to SQLPLUS for Intermedia Index.

Hi,
I hope someone can help about this Problem. I don't know ehther its Intermedia Index or Database Problem...
The following Query;
SELECT SCORE(1),D.DOCUMENT_ID,DOCU_DATE_NUM,DOC_TYPE_ID
FROM
DOCUMENT D WHERE CONTAINS(SEARCH_INDEX,:b1,1) > 0 ORDER BY SCORE(1) DESC,
DOCU_DATE_NUM DESC
takes approx 7 sec in SQLPLUS , but in PRO*C it takes approx 55 sec. They call the same PL/SQL Stored Proc including the SQL above returning REF Cursor.
In PROC*C running Program the Trace file contains 139 Statements of:
SELECT/*+INDEX(T "DR$DOCXML_IX$X")*/ DISTINCT TOKEN_TEXT FROM "GETINFO"."DR$DOCXML_IX$I" T WHERE TOKEN_TEXT LIKE :lkexpr and TOKEN_TYPE NOT IN (1, 2, 5)
but in SQLPLUS generated Trace File it has only 18 of the Statement.
The TKPROF Report for PRO*C is:
SELECT SCORE(1),D.DOCUMENT_ID,DOCU_DATE_NUM,DOC_TYPE_ID
FROM
DOCUMENT D WHERE CONTAINS(SEARCH_INDEX,:b1,1) > 0 ORDER BY SCORE(1) DESC,
DOCU_DATE_NUM DESC
call count cpu elapsed disk query current rows
Parse 1 0.00 0.00 0 0 0 0
Execute 1 33.37 33.72 3 94 0 0
Fetch 44 0.04 0.04 29 69 4 43
total 46 33.41 33.76 32 163 4 43
For SQLPLUS:
SELECT SCORE(1),D.DOCUMENT_ID,DOCU_DATE_NUM,DOC_TYPE_ID
FROM
DOCUMENT D WHERE CONTAINS(SEARCH_INDEX,:b1,1) > 0 ORDER BY SCORE(1) DESC,
DOCU_DATE_NUM DESC
call count cpu elapsed disk query current rows
Parse 1 0.01 0.01 0 0 0 0
Execute 1 4.36 4.37 0 0 0 0
Fetch 44 0.02 0.02 10 44 0 43
total 46 4.39 4.40 10 44 0 43
Why is there so much difference? Even if they both do HARD Parse for the SQL above or run the same Stored Proc many times with "ALTER SESSION SET SESSION_CACHED_CURSORS=10", the difference in Time is the same.
Can someone help about this, I think it is an important Tuning Problem for Intermedia Index or ORACLE Bug maybe...

Hi,
Thanks for answering.
Yes I'm sure , both of them are using the same bind variables and it is:
(FUZZY($INTERNATIONAL) AND FUZZY($JOURNAL) AND FUZZY($ELECTRONICS) AND FUZZY($COMMUNICATIONS)) WITHIN SERIES_TITLE';
The same Query takes too long in Unix SQL*PLUS (~ 54 secs) also, but in Windows SQL*PLUS its faster (~ 7 secs).
Bu t if I chabe the Bind Variable as :
STR := '(($INTERNATIONAL OR ?INTERNATIONAL) AND ($JOURNAL OR ?JOURNAL) AND ($ELECTRONICS OR ?ELECTRONICS) AND ($COMMUNICATIONS OR ?COMMUNICATIONS)) WITHIN SERIES_TITLE';
then its in both Environment faster and nearly the same. But its not the same as the previous one.
I think the problem is when using the search as ?$<Word> (Fuzzy Stem together). But not everytime. Do you think its a Bug?

    Same error for me.
I have to call a larger macro 60 times and so I can't activate the function module. If I call the macro only 50 times it works fine.
Any idea how to solve that without a complete redesign of the code (packing the macro into a new fuction module)
    Thanks,

  • Photoshop CS6 creates too many History States withing 1 stroke

    I'm on MAC OSX 10.6.8, Photoshop CS6, using a Wacom Cintiq 12".
Too often Photoshop remembers way too many History states within one pen stroke. In previous versions I don't remember this behaviour. Previously, each stroke, no matter how long, was registered as only one History state, until I raised the pen from the tablet. Now, totally sporadically without any obvious rule, Photoshop decides to remember even 100 history states within only one stroke.
Although this is sometimes useful, if you work on really long strokes, but mostly it's highly disturbing, as after using just one tool to paint only one little circle, I loose all my other, much more important History states.
Can somebody explain to me why???

    Noel Carboni wrote:
Done with a mouse I get exactly one "Brush Tool" state in the history and one "Use brush" state recorded in an action.
Could it be that your tablet driver is actually delivering information to Photoshop that makes it think you're lifting the stylus and putting it down many times per stroke?

Hmmm... could be, but I don't know how to test it, as it happens occasionally... I don't experience it in other software, but I will keep an eye on that.

  • I tried to restore my iPod Touch after too many incorrect passcodes were tried.  iTunes downloaded an update for 4 hours, but nothing changed with the iPod.

My daughter's friends tried to guess her password on her iPod Touch 4th generation too many times, and now she is locked out, and the iPod displays the message, "iPod is disabled.  connect to iTunes."  I connected it and tried to restore it.  iTunes recognizes the iPod.  iTunes said it needed to download an update, although everything on both the iPod and iTunes should be current.  The update ran for over 4  hours, but when it ended, nothing else happened.  The iPod is still disabled.  How can I fix this?  Thanks.

    - Try a reset. Nothing will be lost.
Reset iPod touch:  Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Next try a manual install. See:

  • There are too many questions "like" mine, so here it is: I updated from Mountain Lion to Yosemite, I can't open iphoto 9.1.5, I am directed to the app store, I "accept" iphoto upgrade and enter my credentials, but no update occurs. :-(

Attempting iPhoto upgrade from 9.1.5 to 9.5.

How many questions like yours should there be? What exactly do you expect the volenteers here to do about what you personally consider "too many questions"?
To move to iphoto 9.6 (required for Yosemite) You must log in to the App store  using the Apple ID that was used to set up the compter (or purchase the application if it was purchased later), backup your iPhoto library and then download and install iPhoto 9.6 from the App store
If that is not working then you must contact App store suport - link is on the right of the App store window

  • Sync fails in iTunes 9.0 & 9.01: "too many files open" and error -6999

I've been trying to synch my iPod (Touch, g1) for the last couple weeks but have been getting errors ever since going to iTunes 9.0.
First it blew my library and now says "Previous iTunes Libraries" at the top. Can live with that (after going through and reloading about 2/3s of the album artwork).
But now am getting two errors every time I try to sync. One is, "Attempting to copy to the disk '[my iPod's name]' failed. There are too many files open currently."
Elsewhere I saw it suggested for this error that I turn off sharing, but, alas, sharing isn't turned on.
The second error message is, "The iPod '[my iPod's name]' cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-6999)." and I can't find any mention by Apple about what to do about this.
    HELP. Please.

There has been some advice to turn off "sharing" to stop getting the "too many files open" error message, but, as noted in my question, sharing was already turned off in the iTunes Preferences.
But, it turns out, of course, that there is another kind of sharing in the 9.x iTunes -- the one for sharing libraries on your local network. Don't know why they are different because the function seems the same, but I noticed that there was still an icon for "home sharing" or "house sharing" (little picture of a house) on the library/playlist list in iTunes.
I right clicked on the house icon and found another checkbox switch there. I turned that one off too (Why Apple?) and, voila, the "too many files" error has (apparently) gone away.
Hope this helps some others out there.
Apparently you have to turn off sharing in two different places. (Again; why is that, Apple?)

  • Too many http plugin sessions seen in SM04

    Hi,
There are too many http plugin sessions created in SM04 in production system for a custom transaction.
The client claims that such multiple sessions are there only for this particular transaction so there is some problem in abap code of this z-transaction.
Could you please help, what abap syntax or logic might lead to creation of such multiple http plugin sessions for the transaction.
The only known reason is that incomplete log off by user (closing the browser w/o loggin off etc) which created sombie sessions - but this is not applicable here because there are about 30 sessions created and user certainly does not log off so many times. Other activity by user is browser refresh etc but that canot be applied to only this particular transaction.
    any help is appreciated.
    thank you

Did you find solution to your issue?
We are having a same problem but SAP asked us to recreate it. It is completely random and happens very rarely. If I would know how to recreate it I would probably solve it myself

  • WebOS 1.3.1 Memory Leak? (too many cards)

OK.  I am fairly sure 1.3.1 has some sort of memory leak and or other major issues.
I have a I have a Rev A Palm Pre From sprint P199EWW.  I have had it since launch with only your typical Pre / WebOS problems.
One of the applications often use is m:Vampire. Laugh if you will it helps me kill time.  I have not added ANY new applications since before 1.3.1 and rarely use many other apps outside of the standard core apps.  Now after I have updated to 1.3.1 I am getting slow performance, especially with the email and web browser.
Today I was playing m:Vampire and got an email.  I taped the email to read it and I got the "too many cards" error.  This has never happened previously.  m:Vampire was the only application i had been running when the email notification arrived
I have tried rebooting and resting but the problems always seem to come back.
It's really aggravating because I know these issues didn't exist before 1.3.1
Post relates to: Pre p100eww (Sprint)

I got the too many cards issue too today, but I had 8 opens, so i closed 4 of them, waited a bit for the memory to free, tried to open any app again and still the same issue, too many cards. I had a small word document opened for 3 days so I closed it and the problem went away. Either Word doc viewer eats lots of memory if left opened or the the OS doesn't free up memory very well when you close cards.... Dev team should check on that I think.

  • Trying to sync iPhone with iCloud.. says too many devices.Remove one

What is the process to remove iOS devices from your iCloud.  Trying to sync iPhone with iCloud under the settings and it says too many devices.  Remove one.
    Thanks

I suspect the message is referring to you having too many devices associated with the Apple ID you are using for iCloud.  You can have a maximum of 10 devices associated with an Apple ID, 5 of which can be computers.  This article explains how to remove a device from your Apple ID: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4627.

  • We can't sign you in. Looks like you're already signed in on too many devices

Everytime I open Lync 2013 client on mobile I get this message:
"We can't sign you in. Looks like you're already signed in on too many devices"
I tried to increase the maximum endpoints allowed for the users but still I get this message for all the users who are using Lync 2013 on mobile, sometimes we get the same message for the Lync Client for PC.
Does anyone know how to stop this? Because everytime this message pop up, the Lync client sign out!

    Hi,
Please try to restart the Lync FE server and BE server to check the issue again.

I too am getting this error in Premiere CS5.  I was digitizing a Broadcast VHS and since I did not have a breakout box, I hooked it up to a Sony DV deck so I could connect via firewire and capture inside Premiere.  I was able to capture and import 1 of the 3 clips and it did have 4 audio channels attached to it.  However, upon closer inspection only 2 channels had a waveform.  I captured the other 2 clips the same way, but this time, Premiere give the error "The file contains too many audio channels."
    Any ideas?

    No.
    Have a current backup.
Hold the option command keys and launch iPhoto to launch the First aid.
Start with repairing permissions first and proceed from there.
