Toolbar gone when reading document in browser

Acrobat X pro
Firefox 3.6.18
Windows XP SP3
After installing Acrobat X I had the toolbar visible, but when I open a document in Firefox now the toolbar is gone. Right-clicking the document give me an option "Show navigation pane buttons", but nothing about the toolbar.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Press F8.
The toolbar should be visible if Read Mode is disabled, but there's a bug in the current version of the Acrobat X Family which means you have to use the keyboard shortcut to wake it up.

    What are you using to save as a pdf? Reader doesn't have anything to do with creating the pdf. If you are simply using the "Save As>PDF in Word then yes, it's a Microsoft issue. No Adobe product is involved in that part. Adobe Reader is only seeing what is created.
    But, when you say it's being cut off do you mean it's cutting it off in the pdf itself or is it all visible in the pdf but is being cut off when you print?

  • Why does the Welcome to firefox tab open with my google tab every time I open the browser? And why can't the browser hold any add-ons I downloaded? I loose then when I close the browser, even tool bars have to be reinstalled every time I open the browser

    Every time I open the browser the Welcome to Firefox tab is the first tab, then a second tab opens and thats my google, then a 3rd tab opens for me to reinstall my toolbar. This has been happening for a good year. Updates have not fixed it. Others have this problem. I did a search for an answer, the question is out there but no answer. Now if I go into add ons and add a background Theme or an extension it all is gone when I exit the browser. When I open the browser again I get all 3 tabs and have to install my toolbar again. I DO NOT want to reinstall as I will loose all my saved data, passwords, bookmarks, everything! I have had this computer for a year, Windows Vista x64 bit. Its not the computer, it's the browser. If you have specific questions e-mail me and I will be more then happy to help

  • How can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser

    In CVI 2012, the toolbar changes depending on the environment, e.g. it is different for the source window and the UI editor. The toolbar can be customized using the menu Options / Toolbar...
    Unfortunately, when using the attribute browser of the UI editor, another toolbar is displayed, i.e. not the UI editor toolbar.... I would have assumed that the attribute browser belongs to the UI editor, obviously it doesn't... So how can I customize the toolbar when using the attribute browser?

    Luis,
    It's nice to have you back
    Thank you for the clarification, so I'll elaborate a bit more: In the regular workspace toolbar, I have a disk symbol to save the file. This symbol is gone in the attribute browser...
    So I have three different toolbars, for source code (workspace), UI editor, and the UI editor displayed but the attribute browser clicked on (selected)...
    Thanks

  • Go directly to a page in a pdf, even when Reader opens outside of browser

    I am working on a web page in ColdFusion that allows users to pick the page they want to see in a pdf and then generates a link that opens up the pdf and takes them directly to that page. It works great when Reader (or Acrobat) open up within the browser window. However, some people have Reader (or Acrobat) set up to always open up outside the browser window, and then my link to the specific page (http: . . . pdf#Page=7) doesn't work. Any suggestions for a link to a specific page in a pdf that will work whether or not Reader (or Acrobat) opens up inside or outside the browser window?

    There's just buttons with behaviors attached to them.

  • Made cookies.sqlite read-only, it's gone when I returned to unmake read-only

    =======
    See the solution at the end of this post
    =======
    Not sure now what I tried to accomplish with this move, in Ubuntu 12.04 and Firefox 23 as my current browser version. Whatever, it did not have desired effect, Firefox will not save any cookies past the session anymore.
    I have these files in my profile starting with "cookies" in the name:
    cookies.sqlite.bak
    cookies.sqlite.bak-rebuild
    cookies.sqlite-shm
    cookies-sqlite-wal
    I was going to ask this question, and looking in the profile to see what I have there, I closed Firefox and renamed cookies.sqlite.bak to cookies.sqlite. Opened Firefox and I see cookies.sqlite missing and again there is a cookies.sqlite.bak.
    This time, with the browser open on this question-in-progress, I copied cookies.sqlite.bak to cookies.sqlite.bak (copy) and renamed that to cookies.sqlite. It has read-write permissions and it remains to be seen what happens when I close the browser and reopen it.
    My privacy setup is set to accept all cookies, including third-party, and to discard cookies when I close Firefox.
    CookieMonster is used to override Firefox default for those sites where I want to accept cookies so I can keep site preferences or to stay logged-in. CookieMonster is not being obeyed, the cookies are discarded.
    ==========
    Solution
    ==========
    Based on the answer in the third post in the thread, from the top two lines of Cor-el's post, I have cleared my problem with just the removal of all files with "cookies.sqlite" at the beginning of their names, closing and restarting Firefox. Firefox recreated all the names, and the new cookies.sqlite has read-write permissions without my setting them.
    In the Privacy tab under Edit > Preferences:
    Firefox is set to use custom settings for history, and I accept all cookies, including third-party, and keep them until I close Firefox.
    I use the CookieMonster add-on to override this default setting on selected sites, so I can keep their cookies from one session to the next, which saves some site preferences, and keeps me signed in to my web site.
    Back on the Privacy tab, I clear history when Firefox closes, but in Settings, I do not include cookies. (I include cache and offline website data.)
    To include cookies here would cause Firefox to dump ALL cookies at the end of the session including those which save my site preferences and keep me logged in via settings in CookieMonster.

    Indeed the cookies.sqlite is the only file remaining of the cookies family of files when I close Firefox.
    Thank you for your assistance Cor-el!

  • How is your signature protected on adobe reader when sending documents?

    How is your signature protected on adobe reader when sending documents?

    It isn't signing in. I hope someone can explain this better than me but it goes something like this.
    To sign you make a certificate. Either you buy the certificate from a trusted source, or you make a special public certificate, and send that to all your contacts. This sending is special - you can't just email it, because it could be a fake. People need to know it's real, perhaps by arrangement.
    Anyway, people are now set to look at a PDF which says YOU signed it. They can check if the certificate you used matches the public certificate you sent. If it does, the file is unaltered. If it doesn't it is a fake. Plus, there is a third case - it might be your real signature then someone changed the PDF. But thanks to the certificate, when you validate you are told about that too.
    Certificates, the law, signing and that area are complex, and you need to understand before you start. It's easy to make worthless signed documents.
    By the way, I've no idea if any of this clever stuff works on iOS!!

    Hi Pavan,
    Execute program ZNOTE588384 for the incorrect document. The program corrects the entry in table VBSEC
    You are using the add-on component Public Sector Management and enter deferral requests. In Customizing for the requests, you have maintained the company code variant in a way that data from the customer master is copied into the request

    If your temps are back to normal then the only thing that I would do is to completely uninstall the Avast software. See Thomas Reed's excellent Mac Malware Guide and pay particular attention to the "Do I need a/v software" section. 99% of the time, you don't and Mr. Reed only suggests the use of two av apps.
