Tools Installation

Hi there
I am installing PT850 on my laptop and I am having problems to create the system database on Oracle 11gR1.
If I do not create a database on installation time, I can not use sql developer or any other tool like sql+.
If I create the database, I get the a database is already mounted error message and the script screws up.
I didn't find any hints in the documentation. Does anybody know how to run the createdb10.sql
script???
Thanks in advance
Roland

after various attempts, both datadases (the seed and pt850) were not working and I deleted them by using dbca. Further, I used
dbca to create the tools database by using createdb10 as custom script. Then I ran all the other scripts in
the sequence suggested by install doc in sql+, which worked fine.
Then I could use datamover in bootstrap mode and run the database script (pt850.dms). This was unsuccessful due to missing tablespace
PTAUDIT, which I then created similar to the std tablespace as defined in createdb, but with 1M in autoextend mode. worked properly.
when i restarted the dms script I got a sequence of unique constraint errors, as the tables where populated with data until the
script crashed (I always thought if it crashes no data will be inserted). anyway, I ran a delete from statement for each table
right before the import statement and now the script finished successfully.
Now I'm stuck, because the tools login does not work. error is invalid username and password. do you (or anybody else) know the encrypted
passwords for all the fancy users such ptadmin etc.? there is a slight chance, that the problem is due to a messed up listener
as SQL Developer does not work either with same error message.
does your question refer to the tablespace options? They are mostly with EXTENT MANAGEMENT LOCAL AUTOALLOCATE. For
undo tablespace, I used the default settings as defined in the createdb10.sql script.

  • How to download the full debug tool installation file?

    HI,
I only find the installation program for debug tools at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/hardware/hh852365, but this program still needs to connect to Internet for downloading the real installation files.
Where is the location to fully download the debug tools installation file? I don't want to download it every time when I need to re-install it.
    thanks
    Ah_Chao|| MCSE,VCP,EMCSAe

Microsoft, in their unfathomable wisdom, removed the standalone installer of the debugging tools. Now it seems to be available only in the SDK or WDK. So go get one of these kits (even if you do not want), locate the debug tools installer in the downloaded
stuff and copy it to install on other systems.

  • VS 2013 Build tools installation fails with error "Signature or catalog could not be verified"

VS 2013 ultimate - Build tools installation fails with error "Signature or catalog could not be verified" for MSBuild assemblies. Any idea what could be the problem?
    Thanks
    NM

    Hello,
Do you mean you are trying to use this tool:
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40760
Can you navigate to your %temp% folder and filter by date to see the log of the Build tool?
I want to know which assemblies failed to be verified.
By the way, since MSBuild is embed in Visual Studio why you want to install this again? Do you have any error about this Build Tool when you install Visual Studio 2013 Ultimate?
“Signature or catalog could not be verified” is always related to corrupt source
, please double check you have a healthy network and then try the web installer again.

    Hi Sprabhune,
    It should work.
Did you install the tool by GUI or cmd?
Please select "Automatically install Windows Server roles and features that are required to install Exchange Server" to have the Setup wizard install required Windows prerequisites.

  • Client tools Installation vallidation

    Hi guys,
In my company they newly installed BODS 3.2 SP3...Iam new to admin...Now they are asking to write a validation document to check all users are gud with all installation(I mean developers).
we installed BODS designer, DB2, Oracle database and we created job servers, repositories and granted permission as of now.
Pls any one guide me what type of care i should take to validate the client tools installations.
I hope I will get the helpful answers.

    Hi Sumanmanu,
As long as you can open the designer, connect to the repository, edit a job and save, it should be all good. I guess you are going to be using a central repository, so you should start by checking in an object, importing to your local repository, changing and then exporting back to the central repository.
    Hope this helps,
    Cheers,
    Diego

  • VMware tools installation fails

    Hi,
I decided to try out Arch Linux in VMware Player before installing it on my system. The installation so far has gone well but I can't succeed in installing the VMware tools services. During installation I get several errors and warnings. These are the errors:
depmod: ERROR: Module 'hci_vhci' has devname (vhci) but lacks major and minor information. Igonring.
The above error seems not to be critical. But then I get another error when stopping Thinprint and VMware tools though all activities complete successfully:
    sh: : command not found
    sh: : command not found
Then I get the following errors at the end of the installation:
depmod: ERROR: Module 'hci_vhci' has devname (vhci) but lacks major and minor information. Igonring.

I uninstalled the VMware Tools that I had before. Then I installed wget and ran:

    tar -xvzf vmware-tools.tar.gz
    cd vmware-tools
    makepkg -s --asroot
    pacman -U vmware-tools.pkg.tar.xz
    exit
    umount /mnt
    reboot
No errors were reported but unfortunately it doesn't work. If I run ifconfig, I can only see the loopback interface. VMware Player doesn't detect any version of VMware Tools installed.

directory but it doesn't have the Visual studio configurator files. I installed from the x86 directory but when running through the Visual Studio Workflow manager tutorial I am missing some things. Most importantly is the "HTTPSend" messaging activity.
In looking at another post it looks like someone fixed that problem by going back and installing workflow manager tools. It looks like it did install on my machine although from the x86 directory. Running the Microsoft.workflow.visualstudio.configurator.exe
file returns this "date -force to overwrite if necessary."
The only other potential issue is that I am using VS 2013.
Anyone else seeing the configurator only showing up in the Program Files (x86) directory? Anyone else using VS 2013?
The Win2008R2 install is 64bit obviously.
    Thanks

I am having similar experience with workflow manager and VS2013 - the HttpSend activity does not show up in the toolbox and the "Choose items" dialog sees it be refuses to add it to the designer's toolbox.
Did you ever find a solution for this issue?
    Thanks

  • Startup Problems After Pro Tools Installation

    Hi There,
I have a Macbook Pro and just installed Pro Tools 7.3 and the 7.4.2 Mac update. As soon as the update finished, it prompted for a restart. Upon the restart, an opaque gray screen appeared with a message that stated 'You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button.' I did this, and the same thing has happened each time. I can never get past the initial apple screen during startup. This has never happened prior to my installation and update of Pro Tools 7.4.2.
Any ideas? I'm dying to start working with Pro Tools/Continue using my brand new MacBook Pro.
    Thanks!
    -Devin

Hi and welcome to the discussions, You may need to repair your startup disk. Boot from your install disc and hold "C" down after you hear the tone and release when you see the Apple logo. Choose your language. Then when the install window opens, choose "Utilities>Disk Utility" from the menu bar. Select the startup volume"MacintoshHD" and click Repair Disk in the lower left after its finished, repair permissions then restart.
Hope that cures your Prob, Glynn

  • Siebel tools installation with Siebel VM templates

    Hi All,
I have installed Siebel 8.1.1 using VM templates. I want to use Siebel tools with this.According to the Siebel VM install guide, Siebel tools can be installed on Windows and linked to Siebel env installed on VM templates.
When I try to install Siebel tools on my laptop, the installer asks me to enter Database alais, table owner name and directory for Siebel file system. Is the following information correct?
    Databse alais: oracledb
    Table owner- sia
I am not sure what to put for the Siebel file system directory field as the file system is in the virtual environment. Can you suggest what path I should put here?
    Regards

    Hi,
Can you share the list of steps that is required to install Oracle Siebel 8.1.1 from VM Templates ??
Here is what I am trying to do :
    (1) I want to install Siebel Database template on one machine (That I would call it as dbserver). Base operating system on this machine is Windows 7
    (2) Siebel Industry Application would be installed on a different machine. (I will call this machine as siebelserver). Base operating system on this machine is Windows XP sp2
My approach towards the installation of Siebel is as follows :
Step 1 : I need to install Oracle VM Virtual box on dbserver
Step 2 : I need to install Oracle VM Server from the iso image (downloaded from oracle's website). Once Oracle VM Server is installed, will it have required linux system where I can install Siebel Database VM template?? As per the Oracle's official documentation, Siebel DB VM template does contain Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 32-bit. Do I need to install Oracle Enterprise Linux 5.3 32-bit from DB VM template or just installing the Oracle VM Server will do the trick?
Step 3 : Once my dbserver is up and running, I will repeat the above steps for siebelserver on the other machine.
Can somebody guide me setting up my Siebel environment pls? I come from J2EE background, and my whole purpose of setting up siebel environment is to do some SOA integration with Siebel.
Really appreciate if some one can pls guide me.
    Thanks
    Jameel
