Topaz Adjust and LR 4.4

I upgraded to Lightroom 4.4 yesterday.  I now no longer have access to Topaz Adjust,  I went into LR preferences to look for the app and it is nowhere to be found.  I reinstalled Topaz Fusion but it still does not show.
Is this a bug, an incompatibility that needs to be resolved? I use an iMAC and Moutain Lion's latest version.
FYI - I also use Topaz Adjust in CS5 PS and it still works perfectly.
Any advice?

  • CS6 renders image less contrasty than Topaz Adjust 5

    I open an image from LR5 into CS6 and then apply Topaz Adjust 5 filter. I make my alterations in Topaz and save back to CS6. The resulting image in CS6 is markedly different to that shown in Topaz. I have tried making the image 8 bit instead of 16bit in Photoshop before calling up Topaz but to no effect. The image rendered back in PS is lower contrast and less clairty, loosing many of the enhancements from Topaz. This seems to apply especially to monochrome effects.
    I can't see how to go straight from Lightroom to Topaz as Topaz only appears to be a plugin for CS6 and don't know if this would help anyway.

    I can remember this being an issue way way back, but I didn't think it happened nowadays.  Certainly not with version 5.  Could it be a proofing issue?  Topaz shows the raw data, which is why you often see more in the Topaz window than in Photoshop.
    Out of interest, I just screen grabbed a Topaz 5 window after applying a preset, and pasted it into Photoshop so I could compare the two, and with soft proofing set to Monitor RGB and turned on for both views, I can't see a jot of difference.  You could copy the Topazed layer, and set its blend mode to one of the Overlay group modes - soft light works well - and dial down opacity for best effect.

    I am a group mod, but flickr is unusable IMO since they revamped it, and I can't bring myself to use it.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 & Topaz Adjust compatable???

    Have used Photoshop and plug ins in the past, they were easy and fun, however after downloading the version of Elements 11, and then the Topaz Plug in, I'm unable to see where they work together.  On my previous system I could simply open the Filter bar in Photoshop and access any of the plug-ins.  Can anyone please shed some light on this for me.  Thanks.

    You can download the trial version (http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html) to convert the PDF back to WORD if you do not have the original. The conversion may not be perfect, but it is typically better than starting from scratch. You may be lucky and get a good result. You might check the settings (in the save screen) to try retain format versus retain text flow. The format version can be a pain to edit since it creates a bunch of text boxes. The flow version may require you to reformat in WORD, but you likely would want to do that anyway.

    First than all, check your video input (TV Video), check in all possible channels, and make sure the HDMI is plugged in correctly. If you did plug it in correctly, and checked all possible channels of Video Input, and it doesn't appear, you should try rebooting your MacBook Pro (with the HDMI disconnected), after it's back on, try plugging it in back again. If the problem persists, I recommend you to go to a Certified Apple Store, and have them check it.

    Hi,
    I think you are asking how to adjust AR balances against AP balances while making payment in SAP and net amount should be paid. If so then you first need to assign the vendor number in the customer master and vice versa and then you check the field "Clearing with Customer" in Vendor master data and "Clearing with Vendor" in Customer Master data.
    This will help in adjusting AR balances while making AP payment.

    If you click on the bottom library what is the file path that is  displayed?
    Try the following:
    1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
         User/Home/Library/ Preferences folder.
    2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
    User/Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder (Snow Leopard and Earlier).
    or with Mt. Lion from the User/Library/Containers/com.apple.iPhoto/
    Data/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder
    3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
    NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    NOTE 2:  In Lion and Mountain Lion the Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

  • Error- PPDS Planning board -Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'

    Hi,
    I have created a sales order in ERP and overload (within tolerance) a block of a block planning enbaled resource in APO. The block is overloaded.
    Then I've run the "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits'" under Functions-->Heuristics.
    Now i expect that the overload disappears. But I get the message "Heuristic 'Adjust and Reschedule Block Limits' - Executed without result".
    Could you please suggest why the Heuristics is not working? Has any setting been missed or set wrongly?

    2) Click on "SAP Reference IMG"
    3) Menupath:- SAP SCM Implementation guide > Advance planning and optimization >
    Supply chain planning > PP/DS > Heuristics > Maintain heuristics > maintain the heuristics SAP_CDPBP_02.  This includes the scheduling horizon and other parameters.

    Right-click on one of the other headings such as "Tone Curve", and make sure there are checkmarks in all the sections that you want to be visible.

    i have done some changes to a table adding few fields i need to know
    1) what is the tcode to adjust and activate the table again if we do some changes to the primary key
    2) since tehre is a view maintainence which exist for the table so what steps i should take for the same to adjust the view mantainence as per new addition of fields and a primay key addition

    Right now I realized you can most probably use the same tool ( DB Utility - se14 ) to adjust View too.

    How do I force the Adjust and Effects windows to be active whenever I edit a picture?

    Michael:
    You have to click on the Effects or Adjust button at the bottom of the Edit window. They do not open automatically.
    If you do not seem them in the tool bark look for a couple of chevrons >> at the right of the bottom tool bar that mean the window is too narrow. You need to either widen the window to bring out the hidden tools or click on the chevrons to select them in the menu that drops down.

    than use subsequent delivery in MIGO with reference to old goods receipt

    Subsequent adjustment means updating the price difference in the quantity
    already supplied.
    Ex: Original invoice price is 100 for quantity of
    10 nou2019s, i.e., Invoice amount is 1000 after doing MIRO for amount
    1000 you get another supplementary Invoice for amount
    100 towards price revision. In this case  you have to adjust through subsequent
    adjustment.
    If your question was on posting logic for alternative posting of exchange rate differences. then,

    When you make a subsequent adjustment, the system posts all values with the exchange rate at the time of the goods receipt.
    Return Delivery
    If there is a return delivery, the posting date is based on the time of the goods receipts. The system converts the stock value using the average exchange rate with reference to the purchase order.

  • Firefox used to download with Speed download along with other browsers, but since updating to version 6.0.2 it no longer does so; OS Z 10.6.8 and Speed Download v 5.2.28; what do I need to adjust and how, to get it working 'in the team' again, please?

    I have had problems with Safari and OS 10.6.8 (I think caused by Apple getting ready for Lion!) but after a lot of uninstalling etc I now have Safari, Camino and Chrome (all most recent versions) automatically sending downloads to Speed Download.
    Speed Download Plugin v 2.1.5 is installed; I do not know what or where to adjust or reset to get Firefox letting its downloads be picked up automatically once again like the other three browsers.

    Lightning is a problem for you because it hooks into Thunderbird at a low level and you need a version compiled for the platform Thunderbird is running on. So you can't do the preferred solution, which is to put your whole profile in a shared folder and have both instances of Thunderbird reference the same profile. (Ditto for Enigmail). Lightning may become an integral part of Thunderbird in an upcoming release, at which point this limitation due to Lightning should disappear.
    And if you can't use a shared profile, you can't set your Lightning, or your Address Book, to share a common set of files. Put another way, the linkage from Thunderbird to its address book files and calendar data is hard-coded, and not exposed where we can adjust it. :-(
    The halfway house is to place your mail stores in a shared place, and use the Local Directory setting in each account's settings to connect to it. They don't need to be in the profile; what's more important in your case is that they are in a folder accessible to both operating systems.
    Look in your profile; everything under Mail and ImapMail needs to be moved out to a shared folder. Note the entries in Thunderbird under Local Directory before you do this, and reconstruct those pathnames in Thunderbird, but adjusted to suit their new locations.
    (You can see here that you need to make many adjustments, one per account, in each instance of Thunderbird, so it's a high-maintenance solution and this is why we don't recommend it when the alternative, moving the whole profile, is possible.)
    I share address books and calendars between Thunderbirds on various computers (and my phone and tablet) by syncing to something in the cloud; Google Contacts and Google Calendar are my choices, using gContactSync and CalDav.
    Having made the break myself some years ago, I'd recommend you break away from Windows. ;-)

  • Finder Cover Flow image preview size is small, cannot be adjusted and showing empty blank previews in Mavericks

    When using Cover Flow the image preview in the main window (not the thumbnail list at the bottom) images appear but only use about 1/2 of the window space available.  It is also showing black/blank preview images as I scroll through the files even though they are cached. 
    I enlarge the Finder to fill my 27 inch display, slide the size adjustment handle (three lines under the file name preview) all the way down as far as I can.  The preview only enlarges to a certain point leaving the upper half of the window unused.  I wish to enlarge the cover flow preview images to use this window space even if it affects the overlapping or number of cover flow images avaialble in the window.    I am assuming this is becasue of the nature of cover flow showing the two previous and two following images to the left and right of the previewed image.  As I scroll left and right occsionally one of the upcoming images will appear as and empty preview as well.  It's all goofed up.
    Hoping for any suggestions.
    I have seen articles about using terminal to adjust "flow height" but never anything substainial that seemend like an informed solution.

    I also would like to know if there is an answer to this.  My landscape photos always display with a third of the cover flow window as blank empty space (matching your screenshot).  This seems like such a waste.  Is there any way to change the "padding" between the top of the finder bar and the cover flow preview?

  • Can't use both adjust and settings icons when creating a slideshow

    I have a slideshow that begins with a poem that needs to show longer than the rest of the pictures. If I use the settings icon, then the pictures are all set the same length of time and the adjust icon does not let me make any changes to individual pictures. If I use the adjust button for each picture and do not go to settings, then I can't make the other changes I need such as "fit to music." In essence, I need to be able to use both icons but one "overrides" the other, any suggestions?

    Peculiar. And you selected the specific slide you wanted to change, and then opened the Adjust pane?
    Here are a couple workarounds. If you are stuck with a default slide length (eg 5seconds), copy the slide you want to show during the poem and paste it multiple times into your slideshow (20 times for each minute you want it on the screen).
    Since iDVD will return you to the menu when you're changing between "slideshows" you could use the Pro version of Quicktime ($29) to assemble the pieces and avoid this interruption. The basic process could be:
    - Create a video file of your main slideshow without music by Share/Export to Full Quality Quicktime.
    - Create a video file of your "poem" slide by creating a new slideshow with a long-duration slide and no music (and Share/Export like above).
    - Now you have the two video pieces you need. Using QT Pro, open both files and Select All of the big slideshow and copy. Go to the end of the intro slide and paste (Add) to that video file.
    - Lay the audio track. Use QTime to open the song file, Select All and Copy. Go to the beginning of the slideshow video file that you've been working on, and Add. Save as a Self-contained file.
    Check the slideshow and if ok, drag it onto the menu area of iDVD to import.
