Total pages printed

Hi
how can i get page count on Hp laserjet 3005dn printer

The information you want should be on the configuration page. You can either get that from the printer control panel menus or from the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
On the control panel, it should be under Information and then Config Page. Print that out.
To access the EWS, type your printer's IP address into your PC's web browser. There should be a tab with general information such as page counts.

Total pages printed issue in Smartforms

Hi,
I have small issues in Smartforms,
I wm working for Check Printing in Smartforms. Here after printed the various checks i am printing the summary report, here i printede the details of total transactions and total printed pages.
If i have more than once page in single check (like overflow pages) that also need to be calculted in the count.
In the forms i declared &SFSY-FORMPAGES& but its not calculating overflow pages.
Please guide me about this issue.

Hello mobiley,
A test page should be printed in order to know "Total Pages Printed".
Perform the below steps on the printer ...
Press and hold Power, press Cancel once, release Power
Refer to Serial No 21 "PG" which gives the value of Page count .

Print tpage number/total page number in a report with width more than 240

Dear all,
I need to display total page number as following code sample.
But I need to put it after position 240.
this program can print total page number if   it is placed at postion 239 or before.
WRITE: /234(10) 'Heading', 239 SY-PAGNO,'of ', '-----'.
Whenever I put 240 or more WRITE: /234(10) 'Heading', 240 SY-PAGNO,'of ', '-----'.
Total page num could not be displayed.
Please tell me the solution.

Using Values Greater than 255 for the LINE-SIZE of a List
If you define a fixed column width greater than 255 using the LINE-SIZE addition in the REPORT or NEW-PAGEstatement, the following notes apply:
Type definitions: The type group SLIST defines the valid maximum value for the list width (SLIST_MAX_LINESIZE), and contains a type for list lines with maximum width (SLIST_MAX_LISTLINE).
Accessing the entire contents of a line: To read or modify the entire contents of a wide line, you can use the ... LINE VALUE addition in the READ LINE or MODIFY LINE statements. This is an alternative to using SY-LISEL that is independent of the attributes of the system field (since the length of SY-LISEL is 255 characters).
Horizontal lines: With extra-wide lists, the "ULINE." statement corresponds to "WRITE / SY-ULINE.". So, for example, "ULINE AT 5(300)." corresponds to "WRITE AT 5(300) SY-ULINE.".
Output length: You can use the length specification in WRITE (or ULINE) to extend the output length of an extra-wide list up to the value of LINE-SIZE. If you want to output a whole field that is longer than 255 characters, you must use this, even if the field itself is defined as longer than 255 characters.

How to get the total number of pages printed in a report?

Hi All,
I have a requirement where I need to print a frame of fields only in the last page. Unfortunately I cannot use the 'Print Object On' property as it doesnt work in my case. So, I am planning to write a format trigger on the frame to return TRUE if the page is the last physical page. Now, I need to know how to get the total number of physical pages that will get printed in the report so that I can use this to manipulate the frame. I was planning to use the 'Total Physical Pages' built-in, but it seems like I can just use it to print in a field and I can't use this field's value anywhere in the plsql code (formula column function/format trigger) in the report. Is there anyway to get the total number of pages printed in the report which can be used in the report plsql code?

Looking at how to determine the "Total" Page Count on HP 2575 All-in-one printer? I've seen directions for other HP printers but can't seem to find any for the HP 2575 All-in-one printer. I am trying to find approximately how many pages my printer has printed since I've owned it. Any help is much appreciated.

The manual says you should be able to use the Embedded Web Server to view statistics.

Smart Forms : Total pages greater than 9 printing as *

Hi All,
I have one Smart form having 10 pages.
If the Total pages more than 9 pages its showing as page 9 of * .
but If total pages are less than 10 then its is coming properly as Page 1 of 9.
[Smart Forms Total number pages more than 9 print ing as *;
I have also check this thread and use &SFSY-FORMPAGES(3ZC)& But in this case it is coming page 1 of 01
Please help.

Define the window containing this text as a "late processing window" (General attributes, Window type set to "L Final Window")
(For 46c/46d this option did not exist, there was a solution described in [Note 359009 - Postprocessing and query of the total number of pages|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/359009] for older versions [Note 588352 - '*' when you output the total number of pages|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/588352] suggested to "reserve sufficient space for the number of pages by specifying an explicit length in the formatting options")

Pages inclduing test page print totally blank

The printer I have C7280 print pages totally blank. Even test pages print blank. There is no error message. Ink is fine. Paper tray is fine. Paper comes out fine except it is blank.

I'm having the exact problem with me HP OfficeJet 5610 All in one,

How to modify total pages in smartforms?

Hi All,
In smartform Im printing ' page of total pages' as &SFSY-PAGE& of &SFSY-FORMPAGES(3CZ)&. All are working fine. Now at last I have to print one extra page without page no. So, If the total o/p pages are 16 ( including last page) I have to show i.e
1 of 15, 2 of 15 .... 15 of 15 , and in the last pages nothing. For this Im moving SFSY-FORMPAGES to one variable and substracting one from it, but its not working, its showing as 1 of 0, 2 of 1 ... 15 of 14..
so how to decrease the total page number. I think it generates in runtime and in my smartform all windows are in one PAGE.
So how to do this ? any Idea?

I think we can try this. Issue new page after all pages. If page less than or equal to total pages, display that, else issue new page.

Total Page in ABAP List

Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to print: "Page XX of XX" in my ABAP List report (this report is meant to be printed).
For Current Page, I know that the system field is SY-PAGNO. But I can't find the field for Total Page. Is there anyway to print this (Total Page) since it means that we have to predict how long the report will be before we WRITE anything?

In the first statement of ur report u'll have to reserve some lines for footer as follows:
REPORT <prg name> LINE-COUNT 25(2).
here ur list will display 23 lines of data and then 2 lines are reserved for footer.
This means that in each page u can display 23 lines of text. Now depending on number of entries in your internal table which contains data to be displayed, we can calculate the number of pages required to print the total output.
E.g: I have 62 records in my internal table, so to get the total number of pages use the following logic:
      (U can find out the number of recs in internal table dynamically using DESCRIBE stmt)
       62/23 = 2.69
       Round the result to the next integer using CEIL , so the next interger is 3.
       So ur total number of pages is 3. And u now the current page number by sy-pagno.
Hope this solves ur problem.

I want have created a program with ABAP, It'll print the cover page with form, the detail infomation is in a word document on a file server. I want to display the total pages in the cover page, how can I do? In another word, how to calculate the pages for a word document in sap ?

How to Get the Total Page Count in XML Reports?

Hi All,
we have a requirement where we have to print Page X of Y(Total Page Count of the document).
But whenever my header group resets the total count is also reseting.
for e.g.
I m getting the page 1 of 4, page 2 of 4, page 3 of 4, page 4 of 4 for my first record.
same way i am getting page 1 of 3 ,page 2 of 3, page 3 of 3 for my second record.
But the requirement is to display page 1 of 7, page 2 of 7, page 3 of 7, page 4 of 7 for the first header record.
And page 5 of 7, page 6 of 7 and page 7of 7 for the second record.
Is there any way to achieve this?
