Track Menu Selection on UCCX Script

Dear NetPro gurus,
I have a working script where on a Menu prompt, my client just wants to track how many PSTN caller has press the keypad 1 on the Menu.
Is there any way i can achieve this??

So would i need two variables??
One is an 'Integar' variable for incrementing, and another variable for the 'Set Enterprise Call Info' step??
For instance:-
Variable 1 - TimesPress1 (Integar)
Variable 2 - Set TimesPress1 to the value of "Call.PeripheralVariable#' by the Set Enterprise Call Info step.
Then on Historical Report, i can run the Call Custom Variable report that will report on my Variable 2 (the Call.PeripheralVariable#) value??
Am I correct?? Sorry i'm new to this so would greatly appreciate you guys help on this.

UCCX script and abandoned calls

Hi Guys
I got question about that UCCX script and abandoned calls , so currently we had 4 different script for support the call follow .
So the Main script is just AA let the people select menu 1 , 2 ,3 then go to different queue , after select 1 (for example) then call-direct to second script trigger number and coming into the queue .
Unfortunately , the system counter the action to be an Abandoned call , I already open the case about this issue and the TAC did not found any configure issue on UCCX , from the log we can seem all the REDIRECT,lrd=5000 is abandoned call .

I was tested "Set Call Contact Info step to mark the call as handled" last night , but not working .
so in the get call contact info properties , I was used last Redirect number to nest trigger number .
but not working .
so have got any idea about that ?

UCCX Scripting - Open/Close time of day is different on some days

All,
I currently have a simple UCCX script with a DOW and TOD variable set, but need to make an adjustment to accommodate a new schedule for a call center queue. My DOW is Monday - Friday, and TOD is set to 8am-5pm. I need to make a change to where say Wednesday is set to not close the queue until 10pm. How do I make that happen?
This is the way it shows in the editor:
DOW: Monday-Friday
+open:
++8am-5pm:
+++Goto yadayada
++TheRest
+Closed
If I need Wednesday's queue to stay open between the hours of 8am and 10pm, what logic do I need to put in? I'm thinking I'll have to add an IF Statement, but not sure where to start. Any ideas?

I was able to figure this out. Below is what I did:
Created two new Day of Week options and selected the corresponding days. Under each, I moved the Time of Day statement and assigned the time ranges, then selected the goto statement and assigned it as needed per my script.
This should provide the logic I was needed.

When I unplug my headphones my music pauses. But when I plug them back in the controls won't restart the music and I must go to the list of tracks and select a new one to start again

I have an iPhone 5 with iOS 7.04
If I am listening to music using my Apple earphones when I pull the earphones out the music pauses as expected. However, when I go back and plug the earphones in and try to play on with the music nothing happens and I have to go back to the list of tracks and select a new one from the start.
This also is impacting my listening to music from my iPhone on my motorcuycle audio system. The iPhone is plugged into a USB port on the bike and prior to iOS7 always resumed playing music from wherever it was in a track and displayed the music track name on the bike info panel.
Since upgrading now the music won't start and again I have to pull the iphone out of the glovebox and go back to the list of tracks and select a new track. But the moment the power interrupts or the nav audio cuts in and switches from iPod the music pauses and doen't restart as it always did.
Apple, what have you done?? You have basically taken the very first App that made the iPod exist and stop it functioning properly. When are you going to fix this or is there already some obscure setting that needs to be changed but that is not prominently displayed in settings anywhere? How can I make my iPhone function as an iPod properly again for my music needs?

Nothing wrong, no panic. Some general remarks:
a. the battery will not be charged when over 95% full; a full battery is not charged
b. it is good for the battery to have it go down to about 50% before recharging, say once a week at least.
c. never let the battery go down completely, so that it shuts off on its own: that is very bad for a modern smart Li battery.
d. sometimes the old "battery calibration" procedure is advised, you should not do that.
trick: when you click the little battery icon in the top menu bar, you also see if there is a heavy energy user running.

How to update XML file through UCCX script ?

Hi,
I have an UCCX script with MENU step. One of the step is for technical support team. When caller chose this step, information about date and time of the call and calling number should be recorded on a XML file located on the web server.
This XML is uploaded into the web server , but I don't know how to update it through UCCX script.
Here is how the XML file looks like:

The 'keyword transform' step uses the template XML file to generate the actual XML file you want to post... the template would be a plain text file uploaded to the repository, and would look like so:

Now - if you had that bit of XML, with correct time/number in it - have you verified know that you can definately just post that XML to a certain URL to get it on the server? Check with whoever manages that server exactly what you need to do to get it to appear - then worry about how you do that from UCCX. It may not be a matter of posting up that XML, you may need it in a different format or something..

DB Read error from UCCX Script

Hi All,
We are running uccx 7.0.
Trying to return data from DB using stored procedure from the uccx script.
We are able to run this when we pass explicit value instead of variable ANI.
But whenever we provide variable ANI, we get below
error: SQL statement varible not defined : ANI
Query which provided in the DB Read as below,

we have created new script and when i add DB Read function in the script, it is not allow to apply it, same time it is giveing the above mentioned error.
but when i test it with explicite value it is working.. .not working by providing variable name

File Upload/Menu Select Option

I have a form that needs to have a combination of a file
upload or a menu select option. The client I have been

In this case, I think you might need to
1) Create a transient attribute in the VO.
2) Either create a method in AM to get the file id based on the attachment entity name/id(using PL/SQL) and set the view attribute accordingly
or call a PL/SQL procedure to get the file id in the getter method of the transient attribute.

Make sure before testing a script you have checked below:
1. Unified CTI telephony Subsystem is InService
2. The validation of Script is successful before uploading in script management.
Yes , You can do a reactive script to check if trigger is hitting the script.
Set the reactive script, once you make a call the script will reloaded and you will come to know that the script is triggered.
Step 1: in Script Editor , go to Debug-->Reactive script
Step 2: Select the Script you want to monitor from dropdown and set the timer timer
Step 3: Call the Route point (trigger), the script will reloaded with the red mark. So you can to know the script is triggered.
Step 4: You can debug the script by click step over button to check if any error is there in the script.

Missing "create track stack" in my track menu

When I select a track and click on the track menu at the top, I don't see the option for "create track stack". What could be wrong?

Conditonal formatting with expiration date dependant on dropdown menu selection

I've got an interesting one for you.
I'm creating a report tracking excel spreadsheet. I have to suspense the return of the report. That being said I want to find a way that I can have the row turn red if the suspense date is past but only if the another cell does not have a specific selection
from a drop down menu selected.
Specifics:
J2 starts the column for the suspense date. G2 Starts the Drop down list. If the G2 (drop down) has anything selected other than "Complete" The row should be red. Once "Compete" is selected the rule should now longer be employed.

Thanks for the quick reply George. Sorry for the confusion. Suspense is the military term we use. Basically, I send a report to someone and they are required to get it back to me by the suspense date (or due date). Its just the date in which they are required
to send the report back to me. Until it is returned, the report is still "in suspense." That is why once the "Complete" is selected in G2 form the drop down list, I woul dlike the rule to no longer be applied. Does that answer/clarify your
question?

UCCX scripting to invoke Web Serivces?

I am working on UCCX 7.0(1). My task is to write a UCCX script that would invoke a call to web services. Below is the details of what Iam trying to achieve-
1) Send a request as "http://L01oh055841Z2KX.cardinalhealth.net:9084/wsa/services/WsDWLServiceControllerAdapter". This involves appending an XML doc that would be the input parameter to the web services adapter. I use the Create URL Document step from the script pallette but have no idea how to send the XML document that would act as a parameter to the adapter in the above link..
Has anybody tried this before?

My thask is similar to original poster's task. I'm trying to follow your guide. Problem is, when I try to create application and select my script (that uses custom java class), I get message - Error occurred while loading script. Check log for more details. Which logfile do I check? Is it CRS engine log? I looked thet up and it contained nothing more that keepalive reports. Actually I went through all of them and found no error messages. I suspect that I should turn up tracing, but I don't like the idea of turning on trace for all subsystems. Maybe you could tell me which subsystem I should investigate further?

Send data collected in UCCX script to external url

I have a requirement to have a caller select an option in a UCCX script that will populate a variable (whatever type it may be). I then would like to send that variable to an external URL. Has anyone had success at doing this? If so can I see an example script?

I am not sure whether I got this correct, but if you mean that you have a block of Java code within your script (probably in a Set or a Do node, but any node which accepts an expression would do), then a UCCX script variable can be referenced within the Java code block by the variable's name.

UCCX scripting, Voicemail?

I'm creating a new UCCX script and I have a question regarding voicemail fwd when no
agents are available. I know that I need to add the 'Get Reporting' stat before the menu,
but I'm not sure where to place it. Also, I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be using
to many uccx ports. I have attached the script . I will appreciate if someone can edit it for me.

I place my get reporting step right before a caller would go to the queue. If not agents are available or the average queue time is too high I set a transfer string variable and send the caller to the voice mail box.
You should not have to worry about using too many ports. Once the caller is transferred the uccx port is done with the call.

Executing a menu command from a script

Hi,
I'm still not very familiar with the PS CS4 object model and I'm wondering whether I can trigger the execution of a menu command from a script.
My purpose is to fix the CS4 issue with some plugins that have a bug causing some elements of the PS CS4 interface (like the Arrange Documents drop down menu) to appear blank when hovered with the mouse. This problem usually disappears when launching these plugins. For example, you'll have the problem when installing Nik Software's Silver Efex (they promised to fix this in February but we're still waiting). Launching "File | Automate | Nik Selective Tool" and then closing the dialog fixes the issue... until you re-launch PS.
So I want to do that automatically when PS starts. I tried with an action which I attached to the startup event but the action is not launched (probably because the plugin is not active yet). So I tried the scripting way but I don't see how I can launch a menu command automatically.

Most events that I have used run the script after the event but I'm not sure about the startup event order either.
You might try add the creation of a new doc to your action. Then after the nik step close the doc without saving. That may force Photoshop to wait until the plugin loads before running the action.
Another thing you could try is create an script that calls your action. Something like
doAction( 'run Nik', 'startup actions' );// action name, action set. I don't think that will help but its simple and might work.
If that doesn't work then I can help you with a script that you can attach to a different event. It check to see if it's been run before and if not run your action. You could attach the script to all events to make sure it gets run soon after startup.

UCCX Scripting issue

I'm desiging a UCCX Script , If No agents Logged In -> Yes, There will be a prompt -> End
If No agents Logged In -> No, There will be two prompts
Prompt1: If you are calling for CC issue, press 1
Prompt2: If you have TS question, press 2
If caller press either 1 or 2 there will be a prompt : Please note call may be monitored for QA -> then call will be in the Queue to agents
If caller won't press neither 1 nor 2 call should move to Receptionist Ready status check and if receptionist avalable, there will be a prompt :If you have other inquiries ,press 0 and then call will be in Queue to Receptionist.
If Receptionist is not avaialable, there will be a prompt : Thank you for calling please call back at a later time -> End
Hope you understood, If caller didnt press either 1 or 2 call should jump to Receptionist ready status check .
How can I accomplish this within the script after playing two prompts if No agents Logged In -> No?
Can any body suggest me which step to be used on this occation?
If would appreciate if you can explain me in details.

You will need at minimum 1 variable: an Integer and named something like "logged_in_agents"
You will need at minimum 3 steps: a Get Reporting Stats step, an If step, and a Menu Step.
Looks something like this:
