Transactions pertaining to WM

Hi,
I have two main queries with respect to SAP WM.
1. Is there a transaction to view Transfer Order List in SAP WM, similar to MB51 (Material Document List)
2. Using transaction LX23 i presume we could monitor the comparison between IM & WM, but i have issue   when i execute the transaction even though there are variances i get a message no data found.Do we have to activity any settings in WM to initiate this transaction process.
Awaiting an early reply,
Thanks
Shabeen Buhary

Does the system check the cumulative figure for the above storage types & compare it with the stocks available in the IM Component for WH 1, Storage location B.
Thats is WM: In total in WM stocks is 200 AND this equates to 200 in IM
If that is the case, then the variance could be null,
Yes, this is the case, SAP considers all WH stock including stock in interim storage types because interim storage types are also partof your WH.
(just think: you post goods movement in IM by mvt 101 > quant will appear in interim storage type 902 > if you wouldn't consider the quant in 902, there would be variance betwen IM and WM trough a simple GR posting...)
If there's no order in your WH (I mean there are quants in interim storage types that should be in normal storage types), you have to process open TRs (LB10) and/or open PCNs (LU04). Of course, you have to know where the stocks are physically and you have to move them in the suitable storage bins accordingly. If you cannot achieve this by processing open transactional data (TR, PCN), because those transactional data does not exist, you have to move the goods manully by LT01 / LT10.
So, LX23 shows no variance and it is in total harmony with your statement about interim storage types.

what is Difference between SXMB_MONI and SXMB_MONITOR?
Can any explain to this question.please?

    Hello,
    Both are same.
SXMB_MONI is area menu which will contain all multiple transactions pertaining to monitoring.
SXMB_MONI contains some functions viz monitoring for Bridging, Archived Msgs, Job overview, persistence layer analysis.
SXI_monitor directly leads to the message monitoring for the IS, which is part of the SXMB_MONI.
SXI_MONITOR directly executes the monitoring report.

    Hi,
Document types are created at client level. to restrict one kind transactions only and to identify the transactions pertaining to what.
At the time of configuring BRS we have to specify the document type there u can specify what ever you want before it has to create. go to OBA7
Hope this is clear, if yes assign points

  • Report on Internal Orders

    Hi,
The users while recording the entries in the system, maintained the Internal Orders to differentiate between the different types of transactions, The users are now desiring to have the report generated from the system, that would give the details of all transactions pertaining to a particular Internal Order No. Could anyone advise as to how can we generate the same ?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
You can use standard IO reports such as:
    S_ALR_87012993 - Orders: Actual/Plan/Variance
    S_ALR_87012994 - Orders: Current Period/Cumulative
KOB1 - Orders: Actual Line Items

  • Resetting of FI document number during the same year

    Hi,
Our permit for a computerized books of accounts using SAP has been issued by our Tax agency effective March 01, 2009.  Relative to this, we need to reset FI document number effective March 01, 2009.
Our problem is we already used up document number from January 01, 2009-up to present.  Is resetting possible for the same year?
    Thanks for the help.

    Hi,
SAP is not suggested these kind of activities, since it causes a inconsistancy in the database.
A document in the database will identified with a unique document number, company code, and fiscal year. This is the basic logic.
Eventhough there is a way to sort out this issue.
For Ex: We will discuss about document number range interval 02, which is assigned to document type SA.(I think your fiscal year starts from 01.01.2009)
in FBN1 transcation code, you will find the below intervals for the above said object.
Obj    Year        From No.                 To number        Current Number
    01     2007        1000000000     to     1999999999       1000007890
    01     2008        1000000000     to     1999999999       1000005463
    01     2009        1000000000     to     1999999999       1000004821
Here you have to change the current number for the all the above intervals to 0, and then delete all the above intervals.
Change current number---menu->interval->change numbermake 0 for the 02 object and save it and come back--again go to fbn1 and delete the objects
Again create a number range interval for the same object with different series, as shown below
Click on Add interval, and enter the following
01     2009      7000000000      to      7999999999           (Any Different Series of numbers)
save it and try to post the documents with document type SA.
    Prerequisites for the above solution:
    1) You need to complete all the transactions pertaining till the end of FEB with the old number series.
    2) Close the posting Periods for the company code upto FEB
    3) For all the number range objects use a new number series, which should not been used before for any other number range object.
I think this will helps you a lot.
    Thanks,
    Srinu

  • Issue with Scheduling agreements created with reference to Contract

We create scheduling agreements only with reference to contracts. A contract may have multiple Scheduling agreements linked to it. Now the problem is that when a scheduling agreement is being modified, it is creating a lock to all the other scheduling agreements which refers to the same contract. So till the time the user is out of change mode in Scheduling agreement, no other user is able to perform any transactions pertaining to other scheduling agreements (referring to the same Contract)
Is there anyway that we can address this?? Please suggest.

The record locks are needed to avoid data inconsistencies. If 2 users would be able to have the same document open in update mode, then how can you decide which entry will be used  for a table update? And what would you tell the other person? (Oh sorry, another user was quicker, please start all over again)
In some high frequent transactions SAP has developed some options like late locks for good movements, but more often you have to take organization measures like educating the users, and maybe reducing the number of items in a document and creating more documents instead.
If it is a real big headache then you have to talk to SAP, have to explain the situation, and hope that they either have already a solution or even realize that it is not needed to lock all and can create a solution per OSS note.

  • Reconcilation Account

If the reconcilation account is changed from one account to another, the transaction  pertaining to the previous reconcilation account No. get blocked (i.e., ) there will be a balance in the vendor account, but  there will be no open items for clearing.
Could any one help me  in this sceniro. Is there any program which i can run.

    Hi,
It is not necessary that the balance in vendor / customer account must be zero in order to change the reconciliation in the master data. It can be changed at any point of time. However, if you change you are required to run transaction code balance sheet adjustment F.5D in order to move the entries posted to previous reconciliation account are get adjusted with new reconciliation account.
Please let me know still you struck with any problem.

    Hi ,
Why are you using 9KE0 transaction when you are working with New GL ? It is a transaction pertaining to Classic PCA and you are no longer supposed to use that transaction. If you want to carry out any rectification entry then you may use transaction F-02 to do that.

  • Business area and profit centre

    Friends,
Please tell me difference between profit center and business areas. If reporting can be done using both of them in similar fashion, why can't only one of them be used, instead of using both of them?
There should be a logical distinction between them, please explain that.
    Thanks,
    A

    Hi,
    1. Main distinguishing factor is that Distribution or assessment within profit center can be done for allocation of overheads.
No such allocation functionality is possible within Business area.
    2. Hierarchical structure for profit center can be created.
Hierarchical structure for business area is not possible.
    3. Business area does not need to be attached to any organization structure.
But profit centers can be created under the controlling area.
    4. PCA helps to arrive at profitability of business unit
Business area is used to segregate FI transactions pertaining to various
    5. Profit Center Accounting as the Product manufactured.
Business area would have been useful only when the Areas of Business are Different.
    6. Business area concept is used for making strategic decisions by the management whereas the primary purpose of profit center is accounting.
    7. PCA would be much more suitable. You may need some derivation rules for Populating Profit centers, but it would be much more easier than using Business area and reconciling FI-CO on monthly basis.
    8. The main difference between profit centers and business areas is that profit centers are used for internal management whereas business areas are geared more towards external purposes.
    9.  Business area satisfies accounting purpose while Profit Center  satisfies CO purpose.
    10.  Business area was used as function oriented (e.g. SALES, ACCOUNTING etc)
as per old school where we used to separate B/S as per functionality. But Profit Center  is more related with group of products or COS (COGS) view.

  • Documents types definition rational

    Dear All,
What i expect from you all is not the "How to do" but the "Why doing that this way"
We are designing our customer system and i have been asked the following questions:
Why should we use these document types?
What is the rational of creating new ones?
I tried to find out the solution for my question over the WEB but I have not been able to resolve my issue.
    AB General document
    DG Customer credit memo
    DZ Customer payment
    DR Customer invoice
    KZ Vendor payment
    KG Vendor credit memo
KN Vendor net invoice and credit memo
    KR Vendor invoice
    SA All G/L accounts
What is the rational to choose the number of documents types to be used?
Thank you in advance for your help
    Kind regards
    M.

    Hi
Why should we use these document types ?
As already explained by MBN and Sowmya we use the different doc types
1.To differentiate the transactions posted in FI from different modules and in FI module itself.
2.To build the logic as per user requirement in respect of any particular document type
3.To identify the transactions posted from a particular module or from the same module(ex., for cash transactions we can have CJ)
4.Better not to have same document type for two types of postings ex., for postings from payroll doc type AB and for clearing document also doc type AB since differentiation between payroll documents and clearing documents becomes difficult.
Rational of creating a new one
1.To identify the nature of transactions pertaining to one particular area viz., excise etc.,we can have a new document type for example Doc Type  EX
What is the rational to choose the number of documents types to be used?
Discuss with the client and decide.
In general for customers we use doc types beginning with letter D and for Vendors we use doc types beginning with letter K and for GL documents we use SA.

  • Input VAT in credits for Turkey

    Hi guys
Do you how I should create a credit (credit memo+credit) in sales with Input VAT instead Out VAT. I tried with condition type VST (defined with all the links needed in sales, price schedule, account, etc) and It doesn't work.
I have a client from Turkey and it seems it needed there (credit with Input VAT instead Out VAT)
If someone have any experience in this matter (vat-credit-turkey) I´ll apreciate any comment
    Thanks in advance
    BG

Does SAP B1 has pre-defined state specific VAT classifications ?
ANS: SAP B1 does not have state specific taxes. You can create different tax codes like Vat 4%, VAT 8% and VAT12.5%.
You can also use 'Admin -> Setup -> Financials -> Tax->TAX Code Determination' window to determine the tax automatically for a BP.
    · Is complete tracking of VAT transactions pertaining to state, until annual returns, possible ?
ANS: This is not possible. Any how you can create Tax ledgers statewise to do so. This problem is overcome in SAP B1 2007B where location is a parameter in 'Tax Payment Wizard'.
    · Does SAP B1 has predefined VAT classifications and in built rates of taxes ?
ANS: You have to manually configure the VAT Tax Rates
    · Is generation of VAT computation reports for a given period, with details of Input and Output VAT and amount of Net VAT payable possible ?
ANS: use 'Banking -> Payment System -> Tax Payment Wizard'.
    · Is generation of reports in government prescribed format possible. ?
ANS:Reports are available through XL Reporter formats which can be modified.
    · Is Printing and filing regular VAT/composite return for a given period possible ?
ANS:Iam not sure what you talk about composite return.

  • Advanced Returns Management (EhP4 of ERP 6.0

    Dear friends:
We need to set up Advanced Returns Management which has been introduced in Enhancement Package 4 of ERP 6.0.
We are trying to simulate this in IDES.  Can anybody give us details of customizing settings that are to be done in IDES to conduct the transactions pertaining to Advanced Returns Management?  Thanks in advance.
    With best regards,
    Viji

    Hi,
In order to customize advanced returns, you have to do the following:
    a. Define the return reason codes
    b. Define the refund codes
    c. Define the inspection code catalog
    d. Define the order types that are relevant for advanced returns management
    e. Define the logistical follow up activities
    f. Define the number ranges for inspection sheets
    g. Define the default values.
Follow the node under advanced returns management. Please let me know if you need any specific information. Refer to the guide for advanced returns management in the SDN papers.

  • Batch input session from F.05 has an 'in processing' status

    Hello all,
We would like to ask for advice regarding an issue that we are facing right now. We ran F.05 on 9/30/2008. This transaction should create a batch input
session and post revaluation at the end of the month and eventually
reverse them at the beginning of the next month. Unfortunately, as of
the date of the run, period 10 was not yet open. So, the results are
    the following:
The batch input created, until now, has an 'in processing' status. 70
transactions were supposed to be processed (but not sure if this is
already the total or it still has some more to process -since we do not
have a record of the supposed number of postings). Now, period 10 is
already open and we are trying to reprocess the session, but it can't
    be because of its status.
Looking at the transactions: total is 70 (but not sure if there are
still more to be processed supposedly). 35 transactions (pertaining to
the revaluation postings at the end of the month) have been processed and
their revaluation documents were already produced. 35 transactions (pertaining to the
supposed reversal on the first day of October) are in error because
period 10 was not yet open as of run date. No logs have been created (blank).
In the meantime, can we post manual reversals in October for the revaluation postings made in September? Is there a possibility that there are still revaluations to be processed for September? Let's say, instead of only 35, there are still more? Or another option: could we manually reverse the revaluation postings on September 30 and post on the same date, delete the batch input session (can it be deleted despite the status?), then run the revaluation transaction again for September?
Thanks in advance for your advice.
    Regards,
    Peter

    Hi Peter,
Go to SM35 > Select the session in process > Release session (Shift + F4)
Now select the session again from "Overview" and process again in order to process the remaining documents. Ensure the period is opened.
This should resolve the issue. Let me know how it goes.

  • The setups necessary to access HRMS responsibilities and HRMS functions

    Hi,
I am a technical developer in Oracle Apps and new to HRMS. For a newly hired employee or in this case me, to access and work freely with all HRMS responsibilities and all HRMS functions what are the setups needed. I know I have to be setup as a employee ( not as any other add person/resource ) in HRMS.
From here what additional setups are needed like any roles etc.
I would greatly appreciate if anyone can update me the setups against the available functions/transactions in HRMS. After all the required setups done I would like to review and perform all the transactions pertaining to HRMS functions like absence management, performance management etc.
    Thanks in advance
    Best Regards,

There are different methods that can be used to secure the HR application including custom security options. In my previous post, I was only referring you to the standard default responsibilities within HR. An excellent overview is Metalink doc 394083.1.
The System Admin can also easily control access through the use of Request Groups and menus.
I apologize if I led you to a wrong conclusion. My intent was to give a simple answer to a very complex issue, so I probably misspoke.
I work in a very secure environment, and we have never been presented with a case that we could not properly secure.
