Transfer Global setting for Currency

Whenever a new currency gets added in the R3 source system, what needs to be done to get them added in BW?

Hi,
Try using the below steps:
1) Go to RSA1 --- Source systems
Right click on the source system from which you want to update the currency in the BW system, and click on Transfer Global Settings
2) Execute it with the following selections:
Transfer Global Settings--Currencies
Mode--Update Table
3) This will update the u201CTCURCu201D table in BW system with the currencies defined in the source system table
4) Go to the transaction SE38 and execute the program u201CZBWRSIMPCUSTu201D
5) Select the source system and run the program with following selections:
Global table settings--CURRENCY
Mode as --Update table
6) This will update the u201CTCURCu201D table in BW.
Running above program for BW is necessary, because adding new currency definitions in the BW system will deviate the ISO code settings for the TCURC table.
ISO code is the standard worldwide currency key. Thus it should be unique.
Above program will assign the unique currency key to the ISO code.

Global Setting for ALV Table in webdynpro

Hi guys,
We are in process of upgrading to EHP7 and ABAP-7.4 and we are facing one small issue on default ALV table setting where we are not getting
Grid line = 'All' insist we are getting Grid Line = 'Horizontally'.
I have seen lots of thread suggesting that we can customized it based on application but as we already have lots of webdynpro application and it not a good ideas to go in each and every application and change it.
I have a feeling there should be some place where we can set the default setting for the same may be System or Global .
Any idea on the same.

according to what i understood from your explanation you want that inspite of scrolling you need to do so on user clicking some button or some action ....
i did the same in a scenario...
what i did was just giving a input field on the screen.
and in code i just checked number of records to be less than or equal to the number user puts in the i/p field .
I chose onactionenter for doing this .
firstly i used node->invalidate.
again filled the internal table with number of records matching and displayed the same.

Transfer global settings for Fiscal year

Hi friends,
There are two entries are posted for Fiscal year in R/3.. In BW side, I know that replicate transfer global settings is good option to get R/3 data for the Fiscal year.. here there is no fiscal year option.. but there is fiscal year variant options.. i want to know how can i replicate global settings by which option and which mode should use.....

I doubt if we have such option for Fiscal variant. I maybe wrong.
But try to get the data for Fiscal Variant in a flat file and load it to BW.
or
Check the the table T009B if the Fisc variant is Updated.
If not, there must be some option for that.

Global setting for decimal notation setting?

Experts:
Where can I set the decimal notation for all users? Is there a global default setting for this?
I need to display numbers as xxx,xxx,xxx.xx.
Each individual user can set this in their Maintain User Profile -->Default settings.
But I need to have the system default for EVERY user to xxx,xxx,xxx.xx.

Global Setting for Running compatibilty mode in IE

Is anyone aware of a global setting to do the x-UA-Compatible setting for a given SAP Server? We are having compatibility issues with SAP now that we have some apps outside that require it to be turned off.

If not try this: Add the url parameter sap-ie=EmulateIE9 in the url, then it should work.

Global Setting for *NOT* DELETING files in iTunes?

Hi Everyone-
Why is the default setting in iTunes to delete podcasts once listened to? There are many episodes I want to retain.
I would like the control to delete stuff when I want, and not at the whim of iTunes.
Can you explain how to set the program to NOT DELETE as a default? Or do I have to seek another client-AGAIN?

Go to Podcasts > My Podcasts then at the top right select Episode List from the view options. Second button in at the lower right should be the default Settings... button. I'd still go through the individual podcasts to make sure they haven't picked up autodelete options from elsewhere/when.
I'd recommend you go to Edit > Preferences > Store and untick Sync podcast subscriptions and settings. This feature appears to have cause problems for others, myself included, when settings from an iOS device override those in iTunes.

Global setting for audio track?

Is there a way to set the level for a particular audio track so that no matter what clip is edited onto that track it always reflects the same audio level?
For example: I post a lot of b-roll to a particular track so instead of setting the volume for each and every clip, I would like to set the level for the track.
Anyone know of a way to do that?

You can do it for the entire track AFTER you've placed all the clips in that track. Select all clips in the track and then go to Modify->Levels and enter an ABSOLUTE value. Any clips added to that track after the change will not be affected.

Error Message for currency (0Currency) during activation of DSO

Hi guys,
data which is transfered from datasource to dso contains an value " * " for currency which is unknown for some key figures.
During the activation of the data in DSO an error is appearing: No SID for value " * " of characteristic 0Currency found.
Is there some solution for that error available?
I checked the values for currency which are stored in 0Currency master data. There is one value for empty currency.
I thought one solution is to remove the " * " currency in ERP, then the currency will not have the " * " value and no error would appear in BW.
The other is to create a new InfoObject for currency and add the value " * " in master data. Then with the assignment of the new currency InfoObject also an error should not appear.
Any ideas about that?

I think this has nothing to do with TCURR because there is the currency conversion maintained. And for SPRO i don´t have authorization and I think that an currency with * would not make sense to enter it via SPRO as a currency code.

Setting a global margin for any documents to print

Hello,
On a Mac running OS X, I have a ruby/java script allowing me to open a Microsoft Word document and print it as a PDF (and extra stuffs, but that's not part of the problem). During the conversion from Word to PDF for most of my documents I get a dialog saying 'A footer of section X is outside of the printable area of the page...'. What I would like to do is not to write a script to click 'yes' when a dialog open but to try to set the default margin for printing to 0. In the 'page setup', there is an option to create customized 'paper size', with a giving width, height and margins (that I can set to 0). By default the paper size is selecting A4, but I would like to find a way to set this paper size as a default to my customized paper size for any document opened on Microsoft Word or printed as PDF! If I select manually the customized paper size after I open the document on Word, I can print it without having the dialog.
So my question is to know if there is a way to set a global margin for printing to 0 (let me know if I need to use Acrobat Pro, Distiller etc.), whatever the way is.

There is nothing specific with the SDK that you have to print a marketing document such as a Sales Order, PO, etc. What you may want to look at in the 2005A SDK is the "PrintEvent" object. This event lets you catch a print event in the SAP Business One application, get the relevant data that is sent to the printer and then edit it using a third-party editing tool such as Crystal Reports. The PrintEvent event provides an exit point that allows you to integrate third-party tools for reporting and document editing.

I save my workbook and then checking the perminent workbook setting,,,
But that is restricted onyl my user ID,,
so, i want to know about global default setting...
I was supposed that global setting is part of authrization object or other thing...

Its mentioned that
To use the selected workbook as the default workbook for all users, set the Global Default Workbook indicator. The indicator is only input-ready if the user has the necessary authorization. Authorization object S_RS_TOOLS is required. Field COMMAND must contain value THEMES.

Globally set "float" for my windows... and Skins?

I really liked how PS would allow me to open up any .psd etc, in it's own floating window, so I could select then drag an image from one doc to the other.
Cant do that with the default settings in CS5...but I've found a way to 'force' that for each doc I open AFTER I open it via the top nav bar icon to enable the float for that doc...
IS there a way to globally set CS5 to only ever open any PS doc with that already set to the float window setting?
Can't find it so far...but surely that must exist, right?
RE: my subject item on Skins...the overall "gray-ness" of the CS5 GUI gets me down...I also can not find out how to "skin" the gray away....can you?

huge 27" HP that is powered by a nVidea card...absolutely great look/feel and the workstation powering same is a great Dell box.
that said, it's not the monitor, nor the ambient light here at the office..it's the dang all gray look that bugs me the most...then the poor contrast tween the type on that gray...then the overall gray top bar too...
just too too gray for me. if this continues to bug me, I'll just go back to CS3....dont need any of the new features in CS5....and the 'comfort' of using an interface that is easy to use is more imp to me than being "current" with versions ever would be...
can't be alone on this either as I've read many many threads on this - just google for this and you'll see many think same as me....an app should be
transparent in it's GUI usage....not a hindrance...

Is there a global background color setting for all apps?

This pertains to a DESKTOP COMPUTER uisng 10.7 (Lion) - not iPad or iPhone or iXyz
I've spent the last half hour on the forums but each talk about a SPECIFIC application's background. I'm tired of staring into a WHITE lightbulb when switching applications.   Most professional applications (like final cut pro or photoshop) have a dark grey or beige background that is restful on the eyes.     That is usually easily set by navigating preferences.   Top web pages know how to use dark backgrounds to make the colors really stand out.
My question pertains to a GLOBAL setting so that ALL applications have the same background color (unless specifically set within).   Windows had this for over a decade. Is Mac behind Windows?   Seems like this should be under Settings==>Display or Desktop (but I can't find it).
I've seen discussions about creating a rectangular window (I presume in Photoshop) then saving it as "template" -- but there is no save-as "template" setting in Photoshop or WHERE to put it -- or active the template.   Lots of missing instructions if so.
This ain't rocket science fellas -- could one of you geniuses point me in the right direction with some SPECIFIC navigation (ie: go here, click this, save that, do this).

You're confusing being behind Windows with "don't want to". I'm sure Apple's engineers could add the ability for users to play with the desktop theme if they wanted, but they choose not to. They never have.
However, there are third party options for that. This one looks pretty interesting. Flavours is another.
