Transfer playlist to Sandisk mp3 player

When I plug in my Sandisk mp3 player the pc recognizes it, but iTunes does not. When I look at File - Devices it's not there.
I do see the Sandisk in Windows Media Player. I looked around and couldn't see obvious reason what may be wrong.
Do I need a plug-in?

I should note I do have a program that converts the .m4a format to .mp3.

  • How can I transfer a Playlist to my mp3 player?

i have a cheap little mp3 player (Jensen), and i want to transfer an iTunes playlist (all my iTunes songs are already in mp3 format, btw) to the player. however, i can't click and drag a playlist to the mp3 player directly. the mp3 player instructions say to go to my iTunes music library (via Finder) and drag to the mp3 player.
but in the Library, my playlists don't show up.
if there was a way to have my playlists appear in Library, that would fix it. can this be done?
    thx!

thank you, chris. cool, that works for the most part -- works well enough, anyway. it's a bit odd in that it won't transfer a big playlist (like 40 songs), but i just broke up the drags into segments. cool. it didn't retain the same order as my playlist, but who knows, might be my mp3 player (cheap thing, get what ya pay for...).
    thx.

  • Sandisk mp3 player with mac osx?

hi i was wondering if there was a way to get my sandisk mp3 player to work on mac osx. i really do not have the money for an ipod and i was wondering if there would be a way to transfer files from the computer to the mp3 player.

i realize this might sound dumb, or rather be in the wrong place. but i could not think of any other place to go. thank you for your help.

According to their web site it should be able to conect via USB. They do mention support for Mac OS 10.1 and up but whether that extends to 10.4 I don't know. You would have to contact them for that information. If 10.4 is supported you should be able to put music that is yours on it.
If you are trying to put music on it that you purchased through the iTunes store then you are out of luck as that will not work. Those files are protected and will not load on your player. They only work on an iPod as that is part of the DRM that Apple has with the music studios.

  • SanDisk mp3 player

How do I get music onto my sons SanDisk mp3 player from itunes?

    Hey emil41
Unfortunately iTunes will only transfer your media to an iPod or Apple TV. iTunes is not designed to put media onto other devices.
You can Get Info on the file by going to File>Get Info. Then copy the file to your device from its location on the computer with Explorer or any other application that came with the device.

    carlitos3373,
You need to use iTunes to transfer music to your iPod. You can download the latest version here:

How can I transfer playlist in Windows Media Player to me I Pad mini?

Great question Rosa.Lee! Music is definitely a priority for my wireless device. From your PC, you can drag music to iTunes and it will automatically format. Then you can connect your iPad and sync.

  • How to download MP3 of podcast from NPR to Sansa Sandisk MP3 player?

How can I get my USB device (Sansa Sandisk MP3 player) to show up in “Finder” so that I can download MP3s to it? (It does show up in “System Profiler”.)
I used to do this on my PC with no problems.
    Thank you for your help.

    Please see this page: http://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/229
    which says:
'Although Mac OS is NOT a supported operating system, the Sansa player can still be recognized if the Sansa player is only plugged in MSC mode.
Mac computers do NOT support MTP
A Sansa player in MTP mode when plugged into a Mac computer will NOT be detected or recognized.'

  • Ripped MP3s won't work on my SanDisk MP3 player...

OK, here is a weird situation. I have a SanDisk MP3 player. I hook it up to my iMac, and download songs to it. MP3 Podcasts will play fine. If I rip a CD to MP3, the player will play the songs fine. However, if I take an already ripped AAC and re-rip it to an MP3 in iTunes, the SanDisk won't play it (it sees the file, but skips over it).
Any ideas why this is happening, or how to fix it?
    Matthew

Yep, I know, when you buy itunes music, the songs are protected, so burn a cd of the music, and import it into windows media player, or back into itunes in a different format, because when you burn it, it becomes unprotected and you can change the format.

how do I transfer songs to a mp3 player from itunes?

I just purchase songs from ITunes...
You made a mistake already.  If you want MP3s, it is better to avoid the iTunes Store altogether, and buy songs in MP3 format (e.g. from Amazon Digital Music or other source).
But all is not lost.  First check whether your MP3 player can play songs in AAC format.  If yes, continue to next step.  If not, convert your Purchased AAC files to MP3 per this guide:
iTunes: How to convert a song to a different file format
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1550
Once you have them in the right format, add them to the MP3 player.  iTunes is not capable of automatically syncing a non-Apple device.  However, for most players you can connect via USB, highlight the tracks you want from iTunes, and drag them into the player.

  • How to transfer songs from old MP3 player to Ipod

I have just upgraded to a 30gig Ipod Video. I had a Sony Walkman MP3 player before. I have got a couple of hundred songs on that MP3 player that I want to put on my Ipod. When I plug my old MP3 player into the computer and open Itunes, the songs come up in the Connect Player format (Connect Player is the Sony Walkman software). When I try to add them to Itunes it doesnt do anything or come up with any error message. I know they are the wrong format, how do I change them into a format that will go into Itunes.

You need software that will convert the songs to iPod form. You can just google the phrase "iPod Music Converter". And if you cant find anything change the phrase around a little bit.

  • Is there a way to transfer music off my MP3 player back to my comput

My computer crashed, all my music is on the player and I need to transfer it back. I can't figure out how.

Which model are you using ?
For the most parts, the answer should be Yes. If it is a USB based MuVo or a MTP based player, you can use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the mp3 from the player to your computer.
If your player requires the Creative Software to transfer, you can use the Creative Media Source Organizer. All you need to do is to select all your music by highlighting them with your mouse then do a Ctrl-C to copy all the songs to the clipboard. Then in your Windows Explorer, right mouse click on the folder you want to copy to and select 'Paste' or just do the Ctrl-V .

  • Playlists on Insignia MP3 Player

I have a NS-2V17 from last season.  When I sync to media player by syncing playlists, the playlists themselves don't seem to come over.  All the MP3s in the playlists come over, but I can't play the playlist because it doesn't show up on the list of playlists... all I ever see is "No Playlists".  The only way to play the stuff is by artist or album or all which is a pain if I'm trying to play a favorites playlist.  Any ideas, or any idea where I can find a manual for an older player?
    Thanks, Bill

I use Windows Media Player 11 & just drag the Playlist over to the right side pane, it syncs & it shows up in my player's (NS-4V17) Playlist.
Here's a link to a copy of my user's manual.
