Hi all, first time I'm working for HR Payroll standard reports in BW, my reports are designed on infocubes and DSO'S, those are 0PY_PP_C1, 0PY_PP_C3, PY_C02, i activated all Infocubes and DSO's, my problem is Transformations are inactive status for DSO 0PY_PP_C3, when i activate transformations, it showing 1) Rule (target: 0RECORDMODE group: 01 Technical Group ): Constant is initial
2)End Routine: Syntax error in routine
3) You have not maintained a rule for the fiscal year variant .... can any one help for this...

they are created on DSO and cube for the performance purpose ..and reports created on them wil be also more efficent ..

If there are 10 status for project documentation defined in the system out of which only 5 are applicable for my project and hence I want to hide( not just make it gray u2013 I know this I can manage using restriction @ S_IWB_ATTR )..
How and where I can configure this only for my project and not for entire system ? .

Simply create a documentation type and assign a status schema to it with required set of status values in the schema
moreover if you make the Check on Global Indicator in the Project Documentation Template where you assign schema to your documentation type their if do the Check it is available to all but if you dont make the check it is available for your project only so
you have to assign it after creating from Unused Documentation types to your project documentation type library
so steps will be
create a documentation status schema via spro
goto project in solar_project_admin and here create the doc type
assign the doc type with new status schema .......also dont make the check for global
save and return to project screen and here assign the doc type from unused zone to your available proj doc types

New DSO data fields are not available for transformations in the upwardflow
Hello,
There are data flow from
many source DSOs -> Target DSO -> Final DSO.
Different transformations are defined and activated with DTPs. This works fine and provides the desired results.
now new fields are added to the target DSO, final DSO and one of the source DSO.
When I now try to edit the transformations, the new fields are not part of the sources at the different stage.
The fields are available in the Data Source created out of a DSO but not directly when using a DSO as a data source.
Have anyone faced such a problem?
any solutions to this?
- I cannot delete all the other transformations as this is too much work to do and there is no time for it.

Date fields are showing as / / in DSO for blank dates or no dates
We are loading flat file data to DSO and the date fields are showing as / / in DSO for blank dates or no dates in the flat file source system. We don't want to see this / / and instead of this, we would want to this field in DSO to be in blank. Please help how to achieve this. Is there any way to do this transformation. If yes, then can you please provide the sample coding.

Value '#' of characteristic 0DATE is not a number with 000008 spaces.

You have to activate your datasoure to make it as an ACTIVE version.
SO in RSA1>Modelling>Datasouces--> find your datasource name and activate it first.
Then create your transformation and continue with other steps.

Set a User Status for Quality Notifications only if they are "Activated".
Hello experts:
I need to be able to set a User Status for Quality Notifications only if they are "Activated".
When defects are recorded for an inspection lot, a "Defect Notification" is created which can be activated to become a "Quality Notification". Initially, the only difference between the inactive "Defect Notification" and the active "Quality Notification" is that the system status DEFR is active for the "Defect Notification", but is cleared when the notification is activated.
So, I'm looking for the business process associated with the Activation to use as a trigger for my own user status.
I checked the business rules for status DEFR and found that the following processes clear this status
PMM1 - Postpone Notification
PMM2 - Put Notification In Process
PMM3 - Assign Order
PMM6 - Put Notification In Process Again
Any Ideas ?Perhaps some additional information would help you understand what I need to do.
For notification type F3, we are recording all defects found in production.
Most of these are expected defects that result in a minor reduction in yield.
For this type of defect, we do not activate the notification, and the inspection lot is closed automatically at the end of production.
However, sometimes defects are observed of an unexpected type or a higher than expected quantity.
When this happens we manually activate the notification and assign tasks to find and correct the cause.
It is only for these activated notifications that I want to automatically set a user status, which among other things, will prevent the notification from being closed until some other actions are complete and a different user status is selected.
The function of the user status currently works exactly as I want, but if it is set as the initial status for all F3 notifications, it is also preventing the un-activated defect notifications from automatically closing. I therefore want to use the Activation event as the trigger to set my user status. -
Sales doc items with the status CLSD ARE being selected for month-end
We are working to improve month-end processing time for Sales Orders We use SAPKKA12 to set CLSD status on line items
SAP Help states: be sure that the status CLSD (closed) is set for all sales document items that you do not want to include in the period-end closing process. The sales document items with the status CLSD are then not selected for processing in the period-end closing process. Use report program SAPKKA12 to set the status.
This use to work (in 4.0). I have been on other projects and just brought back to this after several years (now in 5.0). Testing today shows that orders with CLSD status are being selected for month-end process.
Any ideas why this is so? System is selceting over 300,000 orders when well over half of them are set to CLSD. I do get a message that the order is not relevant to processing, but selecting the order and logging the message take time. and the logs are VERY long.

I do understand that the orders are not analyzed, but all documentaion states that CLSD status is not selected, and in our 5.0 system, they are selected. In our 4.0 system, they were not selected.
Does this truely work for anyone in a 5.0 system?

Transformation in inactive status
Hi,
Currently I am doing some enhancements to DSO (BP Role) and today I came to know the transformations for other DSO which is no where related to this DSO got deactived with my user ID. I really suprised that I have not touched this DSO and its Transformations but Transformations are inactive with my used ID.
Could you please let me how this can happend and how to prevent this kind of problmes in futuer..

Suppose DSO1 is providing data to DSO2. This means data is flowing within the BW itself between two different Data Targets.
Now to check the Data Mart go to the Manage screen of DSO1.
There you can see Req Id, Req available for reporting,Compression Status, and then next one is Data mart.
If the data mart field for all the request have a TICK mark against it then that means all the data which was supposed to be sent by DSO1 has been sent to DSO2.
If there is any request which doesn't have a TICK mark in Data mart field then that means that request is not been sent to DSO2(or not received by DSO2) till now
It just like checking whether both the Data Targets are in Sync or not.

Delta records are not loading from DSO to info cube
My query is about delta loading from DSO to info cube. (Filter used in selection)
Delta records are not loading from DSO to Info cube. I have tried all options available in DTP but no luck.
Selected "Change log" and "Get one request only" and run the DTP, but 0 records got updated in info cube
Selected "Change log" and "Get all new data request by request", but again 0 records got updated
Selected "Change log" and "Only get the delta once", in that case all delta records loaded to info cube as it was in DSO and gave error message "Lock Table Overflow" .
When I run full load using same filter, data is loading from DSO to info cube.
Can anyone please help me on this to get delta records from DSO to info cube?

ShammaData is loading in case of full load with the same filter, so I don't think filter is an issue.
When I follow below sequence, I get lock table overflow error;
1. Full load with active table with or without archive
2. Then with the same setting if I run init, the final status remains yellow and when I change the status to green manually, it gives lock table overflow error.
When I chnage the settings of DTP to init run;
1. Select change log and get only one request, and run the init, It is successfully completed with green status
2. But when I run the same DTP for delta records, it does not load any data.
Please help me to resolve this issue. -

In the left panel select data sources
Create application component(AC)
Right click AC and create datasource
Specify data source name, source system, and data type ( Transaction data )
In general tab give short, medium, and long description.
In extraction tab specify file path, header rows to be ignored, data format(csv) and data separator( , )
In proposal tab load example data and verify it.
In field tab you can you can give the technical name of info objects in the template and you not have to map during the transformation the server will automatically map accordingly. If you are not mapping in this field tab you have to manually map during the transformation in Info providers.
Activate data source and read preview data under preview tab.
Create info package by right clicking data source and in schedule tab click star to load data to PSA.( make sure to close the flat file during loading )
3. Creation of data targets
In left panel select info provider
Select created info area and right click to create ODS( Data store object ) or Cube.
Specify name fro the ODS or cube and click create
From the template window select the required characteristics and key figures and drag and drop it into the DATA FIELD and KEY FIELDS
Click Activate.
Right click on ODS or Cube and select create transformation.
In source of transformation , select object type( data source) and specify its name and source system Note: Source system will be a temporary folder or package into which data is getting stored
Activate created transformation
Create Data transfer process (DTP) by right clicking the master data attributes
In extraction tab specify extraction mode ( full)
In update tab specify error handling ( request green)
Activate DTP and in execute tab click execute button to load data in data targets.
4. Monitor
Right Click data targets and select manage and in contents tab select contents to view the loaded data. There are two tables in ODS new table and active table to load data from new table to active table you have to activate after selecting the loaded data . Alternatively monitor icon can be used.

Hi all,
Is it not possible to give error handling options for DSO in Delta loads?
I have created a delta infopackage to load data from Order Line Item (2LIS_11_VAITM) into a DSO.
But the error handling gives only option 'No Update ,No reporting'.
I want to give the option 'Valid Records update, reporting possible (request green)' option.
Please let me know whether any setting needs to be done to make this option available.

I am facing a problem while making payment against invoice, receiving payment against invoice, clearing advance payment and advance receipts through T-code F-53, F-28, F-44 and F-32. System is allowing me to select the invoices against which I want to do the clearing but when I go for simulation I am getting the following error -

When I click on the error message the performance assistant gives methe following details:

Diagnosis
The accounts for posting the exchange rate differences could not be determined. For the specified G/L account and the specified currency key, no corresponding exchange rate difference accounts were determined.
System Response
The system cannot generate the exchange rate difference posting.
Procedure
By pressing ENTER, you achieve that the document is reset to a status without automatic posting. In another window, you can complete the default settings for exchange rate differences and post the document afterwards.

My client is local. Even the local currency is set to 'INR'. There is no foreign currency involced while making invoices, payment and receitps. Eventhough the system is giving me error. As a result I am not able to clear open items. Please give me some feasible solution so that I can clear the open items.

As you said, you are not maintaining any Exchange rate differences, It may not be required a Exch rate Diffrences account.
Please check whether you have created any Group / Parrallel curencies etc in co.code level.

when u create the transformation for the DSO, it asks for the source. in that you enter your datasource, then you get the datasource fields on one side and the rules in the middle and the DSO objects on the other side. whichever field of DataSource you want to refer in tranformation rule, just connect that field to the rule for the required object of the DSO.
