Transport content standard table

Hi,
how can i transport all content of a standard table ?
Thanks.

Goto SE01, select ur request->select task, enter now click change
Add an entry to your change request with R3TR TABU <tablename>.
then give * to take all values and specify client,
the above method works with ztables never tried on standard tables , may be u can give it a try.

Hello all,
Thanks for the support so far...
to clarify the problem in more detail...
when i add R3TR TABU T100... and hit enter... i get the error message at the bottom of the screen...
" System objects cannot be transported directly (e.g. T100, TRDIR, TFDIR..) "
When i double click the error message, i get a pop up, detailing the "KINDS" of tables which cannot be
transported. (like in my case is t100)...
The only help which i get at the bottom of the popup is...
"Direct transport of these table entries is only allowed for special tools, such as the client copy program."

• How to transport standard table entries

Hi All,
I want to transport SAP standard tables records from one server to another server in append mode. It is actually required for upgradation purpose.
Can anybody please guide me in this regards ?
Thanks in advance!!

Hi Reddy,
Thanks for your suggestion! but one problem I don't have the Transport Entries submenu enabled for all the SAP standard tables. Is it table specific ?. Please let me know how to enable this sub menu or is there any other generic method to attach the records of any SAP standard table in a TR.
Thanks!

• Problem in transporting contents of a table

Hi All,
I want to transport the contents of a table from development server to quality server.
I used transaction SE16 and clicked on display entries. It gave a menu called transport entries where it gave a prompt for a workbench request. I created the workbench request for the table entries.
When I was transporting the request, I checked the task under the request. The request was in the modifiable task. It contained the entry for table contents namely R3TR TABU TABLENAME . After I released the task, I found that this entry for table contents namely R3TR TABU TABLENAME disappeared. Please could someone tell me why this is happening.
Please could someone tell me if we should create a workbench request or a customizing request for transporting the contents of a table.
Apart fom SE16, which other method can we use to transport contents of a table ?
Regards,
Sushanth H.S.

Hello Sushant
>But even after doing so, when I clicked on SE16 and clicked on transport entries in the display menu of the >table, it was asking me for a workbench request and not a customizing request. Please could you tell me >the reason for the same.
Based on this description your scenario looks like this:
You have a z-table (now client-dependent) and maintain this table using a maintenance or table view.
The only explanation I have for the behaviour of the system is that your client-dependent z-table has NOT delivery class = 'C' (Customizing) but probably 'A' (Application table instead).
That's ok because I usually do define z-tables having delivery class = 'A' even if the table contents is used for some kind of customizing.
Reason: I do no want to encounter all the restrictions for C-class tables in productive system.
However, if your z-table contains very sensitive data you may explicitly choose delivery class = 'C'.

• Regarding creation of a standard table

Hi,
In my landscape, somebody deleted a standard table in one of my systems. when i am trying to access this table it is throwing an error message stating that table does not exist. check name.
Now i want to know how to create this standard table and how to get the structure of that table.
kindly help me regarding this issue.
thanks & regards,
eeswar

Hi
Well the solution you are thinking for this problem, doesn't seem to be a right way to me. Although recreation is no where possible for standard table, you can carry out transport.
As the table is standdard one, and deleted you should rather think of restoring your backup. Because even if you transport it from one system to other, the data missing from your active server cannot be recovered and system can become inconsistent.
So think about it once. Before applying transport.

• Lock entries standard table

Hi Experts,
Please help in finding which SAP Standard table can we find the lock entries(SM12 transaction).
Thanks!

Prerequisites
You have generated the demo data for the SQL Tutorial.
Log on to the database instance DEMODB as user MONA.
Examples
You can use the system table LOCKS to determine the following database information, among other things:
● All locks that are currently held on table ROOM
SELECT lockmode, lockstate, rowidlength, rowidhex, rowid
FROM DOMAIN.LOCKS
WHERE tablename = 'ROOM'
● All locks that the current user holds in that database session on table ROOM
SELECT lockmode, lockstate, rowidlength, rowidhex, rowid
FROM DOMAIN.LOCKS, SYSINFO.SESSIONS
WHERE tablename = 'ROOM'
AND locks.session = sessions.sessionid
● All locks that are currently held on the table with the hexadecimal internal identification 000000000000035D
SELECT lockmode, lockstate, rowidlength, rowidhex, rowid
FROM DOMAIN.LOCKS
WHERE tableid = X'000000000000035D'
If the current user is the database administrator (DBA user) or the database system administrator (SYSDBA user), then all currently held locks are shown.
Users that belong to other user classes only see the locks held by that one user.
Definition
The system table LOCKS describes the current lock entries and entries for lock requests.

• Can we update oracle standard table Attributes column by custom trigger?

Can we update the oracle Standard table's Attributes column using custom trigger? Is it allowed by oracle? Is this supported?
Thanks

ATTRIBUTE columns store DFF information and therefore custom code can be used to update their contents. Care must be taken that such updates do not cause "logical" corruption (an ATTRIBUTE column may be designed to store the color of a product, for example, but an incorrect SQL statement can update the value to a numeric one, thus causing corruption - Oracle does not have a means to check the validity of these update statements). Also, some localizations, such as Brazil and India, reserve some ATTRIBUTE columns for their use - updating such columns is not supported. • Memory and performance when copying a sorted table to a standard table

Hello,
As you all probably know, it's not possible to use a sorted table as a tables parameter of a function module, but sometimes you want to use a sorted table in your function module for performance reasons, and at the end of the function module, you just copy it to a standard table to return to the calling program.
The problem with this is that at that moment, the contents of the table is in memory twice, which could result in the well known STORAGE_PARAMETERS_WRONG_SET runtime exception.
I've been looking for ways to do this without using an excessive amount of memory and still being performant. I tried four methods, all have their advantages and disadvantages, so I was hoping someone here could help me come up with the best way to do this. Both memory and performance are an issue.
Requirements :
- Memory usage must be as low as possible
- Performance must be as high as possible
- Method must work on all SAP versions from 4.6c and up
So far I have tried 3 methods.
I included a test report to this message, the output of this on my dev system is :
Test report for memory usage of copying tables
table1[] = table2[]
Memory : 192,751 Kb
Runtime: 436,842
Loop using workarea (with delete from original table)
Memory : 196,797 Kb
Runtime: 1,312,839
Loop using field symbol (with delete from original table)
Memory : 196,766 Kb
Runtime: 1,295,009
The code of the program :
I had some problems pasting the code here, so it can be found at [http://pastebin.com/f5e2848b5|http://pastebin.com/f5e2848b5]
Thanks in advance for the help.

I've had another idea:
Create a RFC function like this (replace SOLI_TAB with your table types):
FUNCTION Z_COPY_TABLE .
*"*"Lokale Schnittstelle:
*" IMPORTING
*" VALUE(IT_IN) TYPE SOLI_TAB
*" EXPORTING
*" VALUE(ET_OUT) TYPE SOLI_TAB
et_out[] = it_in[].
ENDFUNCTION.
and then try something like this in your program:
DATA: gd_copy_done TYPE c LENGTH 1.
DATA: gt_one TYPE soli_tab.
DATA: gt_two TYPE soli_tab.
PERFORM move_tables.
FORM move_tables.
CLEAR gd_copy_done.
CALL FUNCTION 'Z_COPY_TABLE'
STARTING NEW TASK 'ztest'
PERFORMING copy_done ON END OF TASK
EXPORTING
it_in = gt_one[].
CLEAR gt_one[].
WAIT UNTIL gd_copy_done IS NOT INITIAL.
ENDFORM.
FORM copy_done USING ld_task TYPE clike.
RECEIVE RESULTS FROM FUNCTION 'Z_COPY_TABLE'
IMPORTING
et_out        = gt_two[].
gd_copy_done = 'X'.
ENDFORM.
Maybe this is a little bit faster than the Memory-Export?

• Transport of application table & data

Hi guys,
I need to transport an application table and I'm getting error:
"Fill table key for table XXX only up to position 003 only".
What does it mean?
Is there a problem the table contains data?
I need to transport table including all data from it. Is there any way how to achieve it?
The table is cross client.
Thanks,
Olian

Hi....
We can use this procedure to transport table entries...,
Create a TR in SE01.=>Display TR=> Place the cursor on the TR=> menu=>Request/task=>Object list=>display object list=>change=>Add new rows=>
Here give program ID as R3TR, objects as TABU and object name as ur table name. Press enter. U may get a message. Just close it and double click on the table name. In the Next screen press insert icon. Here u can specify the Key(Table key values) If u want to transport specific entries.
If u want all entries to be transported then simply give * and save the TR. Now if release this TR it will transport all table contents to the higher system.
Thanks,
Naveen.I

• Deletion of Standard tables

Dear Experts,
We are planing to delete data in standard tables to improve the system performance.
Standard tables are :
RSREQDONE - Monitor: Saving of the QM entries
RSPCLOGCHAIN - Cross-Table Log ID / Chain ID
TBTCO - Job Status Overview Table
RSPCCHAIN - Process chain
RSDIOBJT - InfoObject texts
RSDIOBJ - Directory of all InfoObjects
I need some information like
1. Is there any impact by deleting above tables?
2. If we can delete how much data we can delete?
3. And the frequency of deletion.
If already threads are available please share it.
Thank You in advance!
Hari

Do not delete RSPCCHAIN, RSDIOBJT and RSDIOBJ.
The others are log tables, but the above three are critical. Deleting the content of the above three tables can corrupt your entire system.

• Maintaining data in standard table

Hi experts,
We have a requirement in which we have to maintain a standard customizing table in production. Currently user is maintaining entries through SPRO, including them in transports and getting it moved to Production. He want to overcome the current process.
We thought of two ways as below : -
1. Creating a T-Code for SM30 of that table and moving it to Production. Later user can use this T-Code and maintain entries. But here is a challenge that production client always remains closed for changes. So we have limitation on maintaining data with this way.
2. Creating an upload program with database query updating this table but ideally it is not suggested to update a standard SAP table using database query.
So if there is any other way, please do let me know.
Thanks
Siddarth

Hi Siddarth,
You may also change the "current settings" of the standard table maintenance dialog, as explained in the following documents:
- Note 135028 - Transfer IMG activity to current setting
- Note 523213 - Set maintenance view in production system to changeable

• Query regarding Standard table vs Z-table in SAP about deletion of data?

Dear Experts,
Can we delete the data form the standard table in SAP. If yes than will it ask for the request to make them effective itself, because when we delete the data from any ztable, it will not ask for the request to make them effective at the produstion server ? If possible plz update me with yr elaborate and detailed concerneds.
Regards,
Akg

Sorry to intervene here Dhina but that is just halfways correct.
If delivery class NOT = C then it is NOT a customizing table and therefore you wont get any transport request updating or deleting data from it.
But if it is a customizing table then you got to look for the recording routine. You can see this by viewing your table in SE11, then using the menu like following:
utilities->table maintainance generator.
Then look at the info in the bottowm frame. if "standard recording routine" is tagged, then you get a transport request.
If the other option is tagged you wont get it. What again means you can customize this table directly in the system where you need those entries.
why is that?
well assume there is a customizing for e.G. materials, depending on materialnumber. If that table would have a standard recording routine you would need ALL your materials in your development system which would be quite unusual.

• Copy the contents of table from one production system to other

Hi Experts,
I need to copy the contents of tables T880, T9ACW, T9AGZ from one sap system to other.
Which is the most effective method other than transporting the contents?
Could we write a program or RFC or something for this?
Please let me know your comments.
Points will be given to all the helpful answers.
Thank you,
Nobin.

Hi Nobin,
for T880 you cna use LSMW.
Which system are you using as i could not find the tables T9ACW, T9AGZ.
for these you can use RFC as the bets option as Idoc need to be having some Idocs defined and some Configurations need to be done to define lot many criterias for data transfers.
ALE to requires lot many criteris to be configured
BDC needs a Transaction associated for tranbsfer of data.
LSMW can do transfer of limited application and master data and NOT ALL Data.
so appropriate one seems to be RFC or BAPIs.
Hope this solves or clarifies what you have been looking for.
encourage others to answer you queries by suitably rewarding them
Thanks
