Transport of Global Parameters from ECC to SCM
We have tried to set up RSA1 in our SCM development systems for both F&R and EWM to allow us to transfer calendars, UOMs etc from ECC to these systems but have hit a couple of snags...
We have the following system/client structures for the F&R SCM system:
Development Quality Assur. Production
DF0 260 (Golden) QF0 360 PF0 960
DF0 261 (Unit Test)
DF0 262 (Perf. Test)
And for BI we have:
DB0 120 QB0 220 PB0 920
For the QA and Production instances, we do not have an issue, since the limitation of having only one BI client per system doesn't matter as we only have one client to connect.
But for the Development systems, currently it is the DF0 261 client that is connected to the DB0 120 BI client. We want to be able to pull the data from our ECC golden client (DE2 700) into each of the DF0 clients. But when we try and run RSA1 in any other client than 261, we get an error telling us that only one client can connect to BI and we must work in that client.
I thought we could maybe get around it by simply running report RSIMPCUST in a batch job, but cannot see how to save a variant with the source client name in it since this is always greyed out when you run it online. I guess if I maintain the BI system as the default client for each of these F&R systems in SCC4 it might work, but I don't know what else uses this default client value?
Does anyone know of any workarounds for this? It would be really nice to be able to synchronize all systems (especially as the link is between two non-BI systems, so the BI restriction should not even apply). If we have to go back to the current approach of manually updating the development systems for any changes in ECC then we may as well use that for all clients and just transport the changes. It is not a good solution though...
Thanks,
Luke
there is some explanation to what you have mentioned in Re: Factory Calendar
this talks about calendars and is relevant till SCM 4.x
I would imagine the situation would be the same for UOM
In SCM 5 you have the option to update the tables, Rebuild the tables and also a simulation option

How to Post Idoc's from ECC to SCM
Dear Friends,
This is Shalini Shah.
how to post the Idoc(MATMAS05)
from ECC to SCM-APO.
please give me the details on this topic.
Regards,
ShaliniShahPlease see the Wiki page details mentioned in this [sticky|Wiki page for SCM-APO; thread at the beginning of the forum.
Refer to the [CIF|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SCM/CIF] Wiki page for details on setting up and using CIF. I am not aware of the IDOC details but if it material master (as SB has mentioned) then your best option of transferring the master data from ECC to SCM / APO will be to use the CIF.
After intial CIF settings are maintained (see details inthe CIF Wiki page) you will need to create Integration Models and activate them for transferring the data.

Important global parameters from Financial Accounting are missing for Asset
Hi friends,
When I'm trying to assign CHN Chart of Depreciation to c.Code 0319 the below error message is giving by SAP Sytem. This Chart of Depreciation is already 4 C.codes are using.
Could you pleasea provide the detailed procedure...
Error Message is:
The result of the check of company code 0319 shows that important global parameters from Financial Accounting are missing for Asset Accounting.
One or more of the following fields are affected:
Currency
Chart of accounts
Fiscal year version
Input tax indicator for non-taxable transactions
Thanks,
shafiHi Shaik,
The solution is in the error message itself i.e
Input tax indicator for non-taxable transactions
Firstly you have to create tax codes for non taxable transaction in TR Code FTXP for the respective company code.
Secondly you have to assign these tax codes to your company code in TR code OBCL and save
Then You can proceed and do the assignment of Chart of Depreciation to the Company code.
I think this will solve the problem.

Pratiksha

Transfer of global settings from ECC to APO
I know there is the 'transfer of global settings' option from within transaction RSA1 in APO to transfer units of measure, fiscal year variants etc from ECC to APO, to ensure synchronisation.
How does this actually work? For example, suppose we have 14 units of measure in ECC, but already have 16 units in APO. If we run the synchronisation transaction, what will end up in APO? Is the complete table of units replaced in APO, so we would have just 14 units?

Error while transferring SALES ORDER from ECC to SCM
Hi Experts,
I am working with SCM4.0 and ECC 5, while i transferring the sales order from ECC5 to SCM ,it encounters with the following errore message.
<b>Sales order M-10 1000: Integration model does not contain material master
Message no. XC100
Diagnosis
To ensure a consistent dataset in SAP APO, the material master data for filter object Sales order M-10 1000 also has to be known in SAP APO. In the current case no entry was found for the combination in the models that were checked.
System response
Object Sales order M-10 1000 cannot be transferred correctly.</b>
Any kind of suggestions would be appreciated well.
Thanks in advance..
Regards,
A.FahrudeenHi Fahrudeen ,
I hope the master Data like Material and Location and Customer are not CIFed to APO prior to Sales order or else while ciffing the sales order you have not selected the sales order radio button and same time only enter the Material ,location and customer wothout the tick on filter objects for Mat/Loc and Cust.
Hope this helps..

Region Code Update from ECC to SCM
Hi Experts,
May I kindly ask if there is a way to transfer/update the regional codes of plants from ECC to APO?
Hoping for your help.
Thanks. Sincerely,
RiaHi Ria,
You may update/check a certain region in SCM also via..
SAP IMG > SAP Netweaver > General Settings > Set Countries > Insert regions
...same the ones in ECC.

Passing Parameters from ECC (NWBC) to Crystal Reports
Hello All,
I would like to know if anyone has had experience passing a value from ECC (the shipment number, for example) in NWBC into a link for Crystal Reports, so the report will load with the parameter instead of having the user input it again.
In other words, on NWBC shipment screen, if the user clicks the link, the report should automatically load with the shipment number filled in, instead of having the user enter the shipment number again.
Thanks.I think this is the SCN Space you are looking for:

RFC call from ECC to SCM -- Debug Steps required
Hello,
The steps being done for this issue is:-
1) In ECC system ,CN22 Transaction Code (Change Networks) --> Click on Schedule (at the Header) and click on SAVE
2) This seems to trigger an RFC call to SCM server (as per the trace log).
3) From SCM, it comes back to ECC server as User 'BATCHRFC'. This has been defined in SM59 correctly.
4) BATCHRFC in ECC system calls an RFC FM 'CIF_PJ_INBOUND' and changed the status of networks to DSEX (date set by External system)
We are trying to understand why is the RFC call being made? I can debug the FM in ECC when an external breakpoint is used.
However, I want to know where in ECC is the RFC call made (to SCM), and how? How can I control it as we do not want this to happen? How can I debug to understand how an RFC call is made?
Your views would be appreciated.
Regards,
SanjivHi,
What you do is, enter the Tcode, CN22, then in Command window activate debugger by entering /H
It takes u to debugger, from menu > utilities set a break point at Satetment Call Function, it will stop at all the Function modules in debugger, so you can look for the RFC FM in the program where it is called.
And also look for setting in debugger, may be u have some options for RFC FM.

Remote Function Module call from ECC to CRM (how to pass parameters?)
Hi there,
I have a remote FM that I would like to call from ECC to CRM. The FM is remote-enabled, so I assume that I can call this from CRM. However, in CRM some of the table structures that is required are not available. Hence, my export/import parameters won't be match, unless I create those types in CRM, but this is going to major work!!
How do we pass/import the parameters since the data type in ECC is vastly different/not available in CRM?
CheersThe structure will need to be defined in CRM.

Transport of Customizations from ECC 5.0 to ECC 6.0
Hi,
We have some customizations done in ECC 5.0, which we now want to implement in ECC 6.0 (Freshly Installed). Can we transport these customizations directly to ECC 6.0 (after checking the release notes to see if any functionality has changed between the versions, which would effect the customizations).
If not, is there some other method which you would suggest.Hi,
SAP typically does not support transports between different releases for consistency reasons. SAP will usually explicitly document where it is possible (usually in a SAP note). I personally have not seen one for mySAP ERP 2004 and 2005.
If you do transport between releases SAP can't validate that the transport was successful (i.e. all table entries and data dictionary entries are consistent logically and from a business configuration perspective).
I think you have three options:
1. copy your mySAP ERP 2004 system to the "new install" server and upgrade it to mySAP ERP 2005.
2. Install a new mySAP 2004 system, do initial configuration, import your transports, and then upgrade it.
3. Install a new mySAP ERP 2005 and manually recreate the configurations.
All have pros and cons. I would usually recommend #3 as your configurators will have documented their configurations in detail so it should not be too difficult to re-implement them (right?)
I hope this helps,
Mike. -
Messages are reaching PI wthout any configuration in PI from ECC
Hi,
I am using PI 7.11. Its a fresh system so as of now there is no interfaces. Just a two days back only we have established the RFC connections ECC to PI and PI to ECC. After these configuration we have transported one interface File to Proxy scenario. Strangly some of the messages are comming from ECC to PI and its failed because of no receiver found. Other than File to Proxy we dont have any scenario in PI. Please find the below message details.
Service : BS_SAP_XXX_200
Interface Namespace : http://sap.com/xi/APPL">QueryCodeList<>
Payload :
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
- <n0:QueryCodeListRequest xmlns:n0="http://sap.com/xi/BASIS" xmlns:prx="urn:sap.com:proxy:ECC:/1SAI/TASC66A5D70F4DF6172EFE5:701:2009/02/10">
- <CodeDataType>
<Name>BusinessTransactionDocumentTypeCode</Name>
<NamespaceURI>http://sap.com/xi/SRM/SE/Global</NamespaceURI>
</CodeDataType>
<LanguageCode>en</LanguageCode>
</n0:QueryCodeListRequest
This is a syschronous scenario that to this interface is running at specified at on everyday.
Can you pls let me know what might be the problem?
Thanks & Regards,
PuruHi,
I assume this scenario is not the one you transported for File to proxy.
This is Generic Value help Service which is triggered because of some event configuration on ECC or some report calling outbound proxy with default runtime (PI runtime is default). Of course this will fail in PI because you haven't configured it in PI.
Check following: SWF_BAM for events on ECC.
Check if any report is creating SalesOrder, PurchaseOrder etc at that particular time.
Issue is on ECC side not on PI side.

Organization data from ECC to CRM
Hi Experts,
We need to download organization data from ECC to CRM, and our requirement is to download two different kinds of org structures, sales org structure and HR org structure. Could you please advise whether this is possible in the system and also if it is possible please advise how to download this.
Currently we are using ALE to download employees into CRM and transporting org structure in CRM systems from golden client.
Thanks&Regards,

Does APO support the simplified CrossCompany STO scenario from ECC ?
Hello experts,
I'm seeking for some short infos around using / support of the "single document CrossCompany StockTransfer Order" process from ECC and whether this can be used within APO. If someone has some experience with this I would be happy to hear any feedback on this.
The starting point is that we use today an APO planning process for cross company replenishment via the famous 2-documents flow (IC PurchOrder --> IC SalesOrder) and we wanted to check if APO-SNP can support the simplified STO scenario. The "beauty" of course is that you only have a single document to deal with in an intercompany process.
Can SNP create STO PReqs (is this only depenend on the source-of-supply definition in the vendor master in ECC) ?
Can SNP Deployment process such SNP STO PReqs at a hub location ("fair share" at supplying plant)?
Can TLB by used at a Hub to turn such "deployed" STO PReqs into STO PurchOrders in ECC ?
Is the fcst consumption of such STOs working in the supplying plant side ?
Are there any serious / known limitations working with STO in APO (using Interchangeability, using GATP in the supplying plant side to perform rescheduling by BOP on these STOs etc.)
Thanks for any hints or experience sharing !
Regards
ThomasHi Frank,
thanks for the detailed info - this helps to find a way thru the larger documentation. In regards to applying / testing the RDS we will check getting an SCM sandbox "on-hand".
Beside this I started searching OSS on my initial question - note 1284461 - Release Restrictions for SAP SCM 7.0 seems have some items to around using "STO" in APO SNP & GATP (see below).
Another note explicitely defines how to get the right "SourceOfSupply" definition into APO for the STO sceanrio: 1623475
So, what is basically left open for me is:
* is TLB correctly working using "SNP Deployed STOs" ?
* at the supplying plant of the STO (typically a central DC) - is GATP able to catch at least demand of such STOs for ATP qty consideration
Regards
Thomas
Stock Transport Order and product interchangeability
The functionality of product interchangeability in Stock Transport Orders (STO)s
will not support
- purchasing requisitions and scheduling agreements
- old purchase transaction e.g. ME21
.. the handling in case of inconsistencies between confirmed quantity in STO/delivery
and real quantity in warehouse at time of goods issue can only be resolved as
follows:
- Either deletion and recreation of STO and delivery
or
- post goods issue with #real# quantity (reduce delivered quantity), post goods receipt and
set delivery complete indicator, correct situation in warehouse, create new STO
item.
Backorder processing for Stock Transfer Orders - Rescheduling
The rescheduling for Stock Transfer Orders is done in LC during the update.
Rescheduling is supported during Backorder processing (BOP) but the results are
only consistent with LC scheduling if Configurable Process Scheduling (CPS) is
used. -
How to delete Master Data transferred from ECC to APO via CIF
Hi, all
I'm connecting SCM 5.1 with ECC 6.0 via CIF.
When activating Integration Model in ECC, the following error occurred;
"Location 0001 of type 1001 (BSG 592BUSGP) already exists in APO"
This is because Location 0001 was already transferred from different ECC client via CIF, and not cleared.
I'm now trying to initialise master data transferred from ECC to APO via CIF, but in vain.
I suppose I have to first delete all master data CIFed from ECC in APO, or have to execute initialisation of APO master data with ECC data in ECC.
Please tell me how to do this.
For details, please read the followings;
I connected APO client with ECC client 590.
I transferred Plant and Material Master from ECC to APO via CIF.
After that, I wanted to change ECC client from 590 to the other.
I created the other client (592) by client-copying from 590 with SAP_ALL copy profile.
I deactivated Integration Model in ECC 590, and activated the same in ECC 592.
Here, I faced the problem.
The initial data transfer failed due to the duplicate of data.
Now I'm wondering how I can initialise master data in APO and transfer initial data from ECC.
Due to testing purposes, I have to change ECC clients from one to the other this time, but I cannot initialise master data in APO and cannot tansfer initial data from different ECC client.
thanks in advance,
HozyHi all,
Thank you very much indeed for lots of your replies.
Thanks to all of your advices, I'm getting to understand what to do.
Well, I'll say I have to create one more client for testing with other ECC clients or I have to rebuild the client by client-copying from 001 and implementing all transportation requests, for marking del flags to each master data and running del programme sound like tough work, and sound like odd ..
Then, I've got next issue here.
In SCM-APO, I use BI objects, and , if I have to create several clients for testing, I have to set up clients where you can use both BI objects and CIFed master data.
I suppose I have to change 'BWMANDT' in RSADMINA and make RSA1 accessable in other SCM clients and implement tests.
Also, I have to register BI System for newly created SCM clients in RSA1-SourceSystem.
Well, if you have any experiences on this kind of use, and if you have any advice on it, please give me any tips.
Particulary, I'd appreciate very much if you give me advice on which way you have chosen; creating several clients or rebuilding the one client in SCM-APO when you use both BI objects, CIFed master data and Demand Planning.
Thanks in advance.

Issue in transfer of data from ECC to APO
Hi All,

Determine Forecast of Replenishment Lead Time
Use
In this field, you specify how the extended safety stock planning determines
the forecast of the replenishment
lead time (RLT). The following values are available:
Supply Chain
The system determines the RLT forecast using the supply chain structure by
adding the corresponding production, transportation, goods receipt, and goods
issue times. If there are alternative procurement options, the system always
takes the
longest
option into account.
Master Data
The system determines the RLT forecast from the location product master
data.
Master Data/ Supply Chain
First, the system determines the RLT forecast from the location product
master data. If no RLT forecast can be determined, the system determines the
forecast using the supply chain structure (as described under
Supply
Chain
Dependencies
You can retrieve the replenishment lead time forecast yourself by using the
GET_LEADTIME
method of the Business Add-In (BAdI) /SAPAPO/SNP_ADV_SFT.
Replenishment Lead Time in Calendar Days
Number of calendar days needed to obtain the product, including its
components, through in-house
production or external
procurement.
Use
The replenishment lead time (RLT) is used in the enhanced methods of safety
stock planning in Supply Network Planning (SNP). The goal of safety
stock planning is to comply with the specified service level, in order
to be prepared for unforeseen demand that may arise during the replenishment
lead time. The longer the RLT, the higher the planned safety stock level.
Dependencies
The field is taken into account by the system only if you have specified
master data or master data/supply chain in the RLT: Determine
Forecast field of the safety stock planning profile used.
Hope this helps.
The RLT from ECC is in MARC-WZEIT which is transferred to APO in structure /SAPAPO/MATIO field CHKHOR.
May be if you maintain the setting in the profile, you may get the value in RELDT.
Thanks.
