Transport Request Workflow Prefix

hi,
all my Workflows are working in DEV system,
i transported all my requests to QAS,
but in QAS the SWU3 under Maintain Prefix Numbers, its showing (X) Red,
i do not know when settings were done in DEV did it ask request for Maintain Prefix.
So now my prob is in QAS Maintain Prefix is Red (X), how do i solve my problem.
Aditya

It happened to me and I solved this following exactly this steps:
You have to configure to PRD first->transportate the request up to PRD, QA second->transportate the request up to QA and DEV is the last one and don't need to transportate.
1- configuring prefix to PRD system
- On DEV system, go to the maintain prefix number OOW4 and change the column SAP System to PRD system, change Client to the client used on PRD system and save;
- Transportate the request;
- at the end of these steps you will be production prefix number is already configured.
2- configuring prefix to QA system
- On DEV system, go to the maintain prefix number OOW4 and change the column SAP System to QA system, change Client to the client used on QA system and save;
- Transportate the request;
- at the end of these steps you will be QA prefix number is already configured.
3- configuring prefix to DEV system again.
- On DEV system, go to the maintain prefix number OOW4 and change the column SAP System to DEV system, change Client to the client used on DEV system and save;
- Here don't need to Transportate the request, but here on DEV you can change to another one when you need to transportate in the future;
- at the end of these steps you will be DEV prefix number is already configured.

    Hello,
    Are you trying to find the request from Transport organizer for a specific workflow?
    Or

  • Requests transport in workflow

    Hi All,
    I am working in workflow.
    I completed my workflow objects in dvelopment server thats working fine in development server.I have a problem while transporting my workbench request from development to QA server. I transported all the requests from development to QA. Still change document events (transaction swec, bsvy) details ara not transported to QA.I dont know why? I transported my workflow requests from SE09 like abap requests.any other methods available to transport the workflow requests, can anyone help me, its very urgent, i am new to workflow.
    Thanks and regards,

    Hello Natchiappan,
    Sorry missed out myself in point number 5. What I meant from "After this do CTRL+S or simply press the push button. Unless you do the save changes will actually not get saved in the transport request. I think you have missed out on this step. "   was
    "After this do CTRL+S or simply press the SAVE button. Unless you do the save changes will actually not get saved in the transport request. I think you have missed out on this step."
    In order to avoid any confusion I am posting the entire solution once again below.
    It seems that you have not saved the changes in transports correctly. Check in your transports if there is an entry for manitainence view SWEVCDOBJ1. It is table maintainence view for SWEC.
    Anyways in order to solve this problem I anm suggesting you an approach. I will take the example of SWEC.
    1.Go to SWEC.
    2. Select the entries you want to transport.
    3. Then in MENU bar go to TABLEVIEW and then to TRANSPORT.
    4. A pop up would come prompting you for a transport request. Give the transport request and press enter.
    5. Now press the pushbutton INCLUDE IN REQUEST. At the bottom of the screen you will get an information message that entry have been flagged for inclusion in task xyz. After this do CTRL+S or simply press the SAVE button. Unless you save the changes will actually not get saved in the transport request. I think you have missed out on this step.
    6. Next go to SE01/SE09/SE10 and check whether the transport request user has entries for SWEVCDOBJ1 in it. If there are then changes have got successfully saved for SWEC. You can use the same approach for other transactions.
    Please let me know if this solved the issue for you. Please award points accordingly.
    Regards.

  • Transport request for workflow ?

    Hi Friends,
    I had an existing workflow in prd . I had to make few changes on the workflow main step ( the header step for the workflow where we set the object and event ) .
    I did that and when i saved it , it never asked for a transport request and now i am just not able to put those changes in a request . Can any one tell me how ??
    thanks ,

    Hi,
    If it didn't ask you for a request is because there is a request for it.
    You can see on se09 if there is a request or task in your name (sap user) with the wf's objects (binding, etc).
    If I were you I would try to see if this request has some more objects and if this objects are for test or anothe developement project. My suggestion is create a new request and delete de objects of you wf to a new one.
    It's easy. On request screen se09, click on the old request/task and click on objects button for the request. In another screen with the new request, past exactly the same lines of the old request.
    1-Try to search for this request;
    2-Try to create and copy the objects to this new one.

  • How to find a Transport Request no for Task or Workflow Template

    Hi All,
    Any body tell me.
    How to find a Transport Request No for Task or Workflow Template.
    Thanks,
    Lakhshmi.

    Hi.
    Next to the options already mentioned you can also try transaction SE03.
    Select: Search for objects in Requests/Tasks.
    Next, fill an empty line with the objectnumber you want to search (don't forget the checkbox).
    For workflow tasks use the object type PDTS, for workflow templates use PDWS.
    Kind regards,

  • Workflow Prefix creation problem.

    Hi Experts,
      When I try to create a new prefix in my development system it is not asking me the transport request but when I save the prefix does not appear in the list.
      I am sure that there is no prefix number existing for the present system and client combination.
    Thanks,
    Chakri.

    Hi,
    It is the right behaviour of the SAP system that you're not prompted for a transport request (it only makes sense on a development system, unless you want to develop on QAS and PRD).
    Did you check in SWU3 that the prefix number doesn't exist for workflow templates?
    Kind regards, Rob Dielemans

  • Issue Transporting Business workflow from one System to Another

    Hi All,
    As there are many limitations in Import/Export of Workflow I'm going for a Transport of Workflow from one sytem to another.
    There are some query's reagrding transporting of the Business Workflow through Transport Request.
    1)   How can get the Transport Request no. of the Workflow to be transported? (As there are no direct versions displayed from  menu).
    2)   If there are any dependent objects first how to find the dependent objects lof workflow like if  any data element, Domain, Table, Structure (if these objects are used in your WF definition or may be BOR method), Function module, function group BOR, Rule, WF template, task and Task assignment  ?
    3) How to get Transport Request no. of such dependent objects specifically The Task,Rule , WF template etc.?
    4) I have object Type ZBUS2081 related to it how can i get its TR ?
    Please describe as I'm new to workflow.
    Please identify if there can be some issues after transporting workflow .
    Regards,
    Ujjwal

    Hi Ujjwal,
    Please find the below hint's.
    1. Regarding the objects included in the Transport request check the Tables - E070*.
    2. For dependent objects, you should check the workflow template. You have to check all the Task's and in the task go to
       utilities ---> Object directory entry --> Lock overview . Here you can see the request. It will show you the current request for    the Task.
    3. To get the TR for Business object, Go to basic data ---> Transport data --> Here you can see the Request ID for the business object.
    Thanks,
    Viji.

  • Transport Request as Per TMS in XI 3.0's Post Installation

    Hi Everybody !!
    ..I have completed cinst, dbinst, client copy, jinst, xinst installation for XI 3.0 INSTALLAION ON ABAP + JAVA.
    SAP_BW , SAP_BASIS, SAP_ABAP and PI_BASIS Patches have been applied. I am doing the XI Post Installation Steps and for that as per the Post Installation Steps' Guide, I need to perform SAP XI customizing... I am done till the stage of using tr code SWF_XI_CUSTOMISING to perform the basic
    customising of SAP XI. But, after entering prefix no. higher than 900 for the new user with 'local object' selection... I have confusion for the following instruction :
    " You need to enter a transport request according to your transport management system ( TMS ) and choose Save again.."
    I don't see any tms button or any menu option and hence, have no idea how to enter a transport request and where to enter that request...
    I sincerely aprreciate the help provided and just for the record, I never fail to assign points for helpful answeres..
    Thanks in Advance Again..
    Regards..
    -Rupen Patel

    Hi Rupen,
    You just have to make sure that nodes Maintain Runtime Environment and Maintain Definition Environment have green hook (not a red cross) after all the customizing done in transaction SWF_XI_CUSTOMIZING.
    The instruction "You need to enter a transport request according to your transport management system ( TMS ) and choose Save again" is not so much important as it is just an informative instruction. Even i don't remember doing such a task and my XI environment is working perfectly fine.

  • Transporting a workflow from DEV to Prod

    Hi all expert,
         thanks for your help in solving my issue .. that was awesome guys. Now I stuck with transporting the workflow that i have made from development system to production system. I have tried using regular transport request, and the workflow number exist but no active version available. So I cannot using it. Any suggestion on something that might have been forgotten?
    thank you in advance for your help
    regards,
    david

    Hi David,
    I hope you configured the SWU3 in Production as well.
    Then in Production check the syntax error in your workflow template using CTRL+F2.
    During the transports, sometimes some containers may missing.
    If there is no syntax error, then in Development create new version and activate the workflow again and do the transport again.
    Before transport, do a buffer sync using transaction SWU_OBUF.
    Thanks,
    Viji.

  • Account in transport request

    Hi expert,
    how can i found in wich transport request i can find a new account?
    i tried SE03 i select TDAT and objet name UCITEM but no more help
    thanks a lot
    S.

    Hi,
    there are several ways.
    UC01 t-code shows a lot of very
    useful data. Particularly - there is an option to show the system generated
    objects. Knowing the infoobject’s name (0CS_ITEM - if the standard) you may
    find the names of the shadow tables where the fs_item-related info is kept.
    Usually, they are tables with UC or UG prefixes.
    Goto SE11 or SE16 and make the
    search for UC* or UG* tables twice (the second time deleting the 200 entries
    limitation). Make contextual Search for something like “position”.
    UCWB, tools tab contains info about
    which transport objects contain which tables.
    Directly in SE09, expanding the list
    of objects in the TR, looking for either familiar names (found in pp 1 or 2) or
    for transport objects found in p. 3.

  • Issues while transporting requests to an upgraded system

    Hi all,
    There is a development system which is upgraded.
    prior to upgradation of this development system , we copied all the abap developments to a temporary system, where developments were done until development system is upgraded.
    As of now , we are manually copying the changes done in temporary system to the upgraded development system,
         i.e  for ex;  Manually copying the code of a program in temporary system to upgraded development system
    Instead of manual copying of the developements/changes from Temporary system to development system, can we move the requests directly from
    temporary system to development system.
    Please let me know ,what are the issues raised while moving requests ( of programs,tables,scripts,smartforms..... e.t.c ) from temporary system to development system
    Thanks in advance.

    There's a new 'check' that can be done when transporting CRs throughout your landscape. It is the unconditional mode "Ignore Invalid Component Version".
    This feature (check the component version) was included with SAP_BASIS 702, so the tp checks the component version of the system where the transport was released (this information is included in the transport) and the component version of the system where the transport is going to be imported.
    This component version check feature will check all the components version between source and target system. So before choosing the 'Ignore' option, please try to make sure that the software component version that the objects contained in the request belongs to, should be the same between the systems, to avoid any inconsistencies. It is recommended to transport request in systems which are on the same support level or use the same add-ons.
    The component check is a hint that you will import a transport which come from a system which is different from the target system. It only checks the installed add-ons and support packages. This means if you have in the source system installed a add-on which is not present in the target system of the transport you should aware that you import no objects which depends on the add-on which is not present in the target system, the same point belongs also to different support package
    releases. This option was implemented to reduce the risk of inconsistencies. If you import the transport please use transport option "ignore invalid component version".
    This import option means that transport requests can be imported even if  their component version does not match the current component version (including Support Package Level) of the system. This is the case if the component version of the system is either new (the Support Package Level
    is higher than that of the export system) or too old (you first have to have imported the Support Packages before you can import the request). You should only use this option if you are sure that the content of the transport request is independent from the component version.
    If it is required to avoid this check you could set transport parameter SP_TRANS_SYNC with value OFF and this check will be not performed from tp, but I would recommend to use import option "ignore invalid component version" before you would import the transport.
    transport parameter SP_TRANS_SYNC = OFF.
    Parameter SP_TRANS_SYNC is delivered ON by default.
    This option will avoid the check of the component version.
    Some notes regarding this feature:
    1581638 - SAP component checks no longer working in TMS
    1577714 - Transport requests in Check requirements phase
    1650265 - TMS workflow: 'Ignore Invalid Component Version' missing

  • While creating proxie asking for transport Request/task...

    Hi Experts,
    This is the first time i am creating proxies. When i entered Spoxy transaction  and trying to activate the proxie its asking for package name,Prefix and Transport (Request/Task) .
    The transport request shouild be created by network people or we can ignore it and it can created later.
    Please guide me on how to proceed further.
    Regards
    Santosh

    Hi
    The prefix name will be used in the creation of Proxy-Interface ABAP Name and in Implemented Class ABAP Name.
    You should provide the transport request which will be helpful for further transport from one system to another.

  • ESS Leave Request  Workflow Issue

    Hi Every one,
    Our client is using ESS/Portal Leave Request workflow(ZWorkflow template which is configured to the portal) which is working fine up to the last month.Recently i developed  3 level  Escalation functionaly which is working fine and we tested and finally transported to production in the last month .And recently i got an issue when the leave request is aproved after escallation is not setting the workflow status completed and keep on escalating to the next levels.
    Note:When the 1st manager approves the leave request without escallation the workflow status is going to be completed which is fine and only there is an issue when escallated and approved the status of that specific leave request is approved but the workflow is not going to the status completed and keep on escalating to the next levels.
    i checked the log and found there is condition based wait event step which have a condition when
    Req.status = Approved&
    Req.status = Withdrawn&
    Req.status = Error.
    must raise the event and complete the workflow only working fine when the escalation does'nt takes place and the direct manager reacted without escalating to another manager.
    Please help e what might be the problem is.
    Thanks,
    Raja.

    Hi,
    Where is this event called? And more over is it an AND condition between those statements?
