Travel management - Expense report - Internal/External participants

Hi Experts,
I'm working on travel management - portal developments. Standard webdynpro components are modified as per the client's requirement. 'Employee Meals - Travel' is an expense type we can create under expense report. While entering 'Employee Meals - Travel' expense details we need to enter participant details. Participants types will be Internal and External.
If we select participant type External; first name, last name, cadre and company fields will be enabled to enter the details and personnel number will be disabled. IF we select participant type Internal; all fields will be disable except personnel number. If we choose any personnel number, first name, last name, cadre and company fields will be populated automatically.
Now, the requirement is to enable first name, last name, cadre and company fields for internal participants also. So that user can modify the details after selecting the personnel number.
Please let me know if this is possible and how.
Thanks,
Siva Sankar

Hi,
I don't know what application this is so I can't tell you for 100% certain. But in general, what you describe you want to accomplish should be possible. If the respective fields which you want to have enabled for internals are regular UI-Elements, you should be able altering their properties (i.e. enabled = x for example) via altering the UI-propierties dynamically in runtime. You can do this by:
1. Getting a reference of the respective View in WDDOMODIFYVIEW by enhancing it and save the reference into a global public attribute reference of the comp controller.
2. Create a custom event, downcast the view reference for the required elements and set them enabled
Or
Search for the event which determines the Facilitation (enablement) of the respective UI-elements and modify/enhance is per your requirements.
This won't solve your problem right away I wager, but you'll get a grip what you can do about it and yes, it certainly is possible ;-P

  • Posting Travel Management expenses to a PS Project

We are implementing Project Systems, and want to be able to post expenses to projects through travel management.  The default cost assignments available in the cost allocation sreen in PR04 are Cost ctr, Order and Sales order.  I can't see anything in the IMG to add networks or WBS elements as a cost assignment column.
Is it not possible to post expenses from TM to PS?
If so, how do you get the cost assignment into the expense?
    Thanks
    Graham

    Hi Linda,
These user-exits are supposed to check the travel transaction before saving it. Go to SE84, enter this user exit and it will take you to the functions: EXIT_SAPMP56T_003 for FITR0005 for example. Then, put a validation checking that the system user and the user in the travel are not the same.
It's just a thought how it should work; I did not try it by myself.

  • Travel mgt- Expense report

    Hi,
Our company is using Travel mgt/ Portal for handling Expense report generation and reimbursement.
    System- ECC 6.0, SAP_ESS- 600 SP10

    Proxy class - CL_TRAVEL_AREAPAGE
From the Resource u2013 Object Name- FITE_EXPENSES
    URL Parameter -SAP_FITV_EXIT_OP=CallAreaPage"
There is a request to remove/hide the scanned receipt button from the first page of expense report portal and move the attachement button from the first page to the second page.
Please give me step by step instruction on how to acheive this.
    Thank you!

Which component of Fite_EXPENSE, should I edit to change the expense report page?

  • Manage iPhoto on internal & external HD

Just bought a 15" rMBP (256GB HD capacity) and haven't opened yet.  I've backed up my existing 2010 MBP iPhoto's libary to 1.5 TB external and plan to leave it on the external since just the iPhoto library alone is almost 200GB.  I would like to use my rMBP as a working space for photos and then offload to the external's iPhoto library.
For example, let's say I take 200 photos over the weekend and import to iPhoto on the internal HD on the rMBP.  Is there a simple way to "merge" these 200 photos into the internal HD's iPhoto to the iPhoto library on the external? I'd like to avoid managing two separate libraries.
I plan on purchasing either Aperture or Lightroom.  Will either of these help manage the internal and external libraries syncing abilities?
Any help is much appreciated.  Thanks!

Only using Aperture or iPhoto Library Manager - http://www.fatcatsoftware.com/iplm/ -
Lightroom can not - it can not access the iPhoto library or use photos in iPhoto

  • Error in Travel n Expenses for EHP2 (Abap webdynpro application)

    Hi,
We have implemented ESS 1.2 in Portal (NW 7.0) alongwith Enhancement Package 2.
Due to EHP2 our Travel Application is now ABAP Based WEBDynpro,so when we access any Travel related link in Portal we will be directed to the R3 system.
Now we have an issue whil accesing the Create Travel request & Create Expense report applications in Portal.
    Details:-
1.When we access Create Travel Request or Create Expense Report through QUICK Links provided in the Overview Page and other places we are able to access the Applications.
2.But when we try to Access the Create Travel request & Create Expense Report through the path:-
My Trips & Expenses --> Create Travel request / Create Expense Report (which are BUTTONS provided within My Trips & expenses) then we are not able to Access the applications. We are getting
    Javascript:void(0);
3.Since the Funcitonality of Create Travel request & Expense Report is working through Quick Links, we thought of HIDING the BUTTONS provided in My Trips & Expenses.
4.How Do we HIDE THE BUTTONS provided there? OR Make the buttons working....
    Useful suggestions will be awarded.
    Regards,
    JJ

    Hi Joshi,
For example if you want the plannning button to work put the following content in your spro->define resources.
    Resoruce key : EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_PLANNING_SRV_12
    URL of PCD path: ROLES://portal_content/Custom_Development/com.sao.ca.hr.etravel.F_e- Travel/com.sao.ca.hr.etravel.F_e- Travel_Roles/com.sao.ca.hr.etravel.R_ESS_All_Users/com.sao.ca.hr.etravel.W_ESS_All_Users/com.sap.pct.erp.ess.12.planning
It will work for sure..similarly do it for expense and request

  • Travel Calendar/Weekly Report/Travel Expense Manager

    Hi,
Can any body explain me what is the difference between Travel Calendar, Weekly Report and Travel Expense Manager and for which type of trips i can use teh above forms.
    Regards,
    Sundar

    Hello Sundar,
A detailed explanation can be found in help.sap.com.
    Just a short summary:
    Travel Calendar
Using this scenario, you can create and change several domestic trips for an employee at the same time. You can not, however, create or change international trips.
    Weekly Report
With this entry scenario, you can enter and change weekly reports. Weekly reports always cover a time period of seven days. The system presents weekly reports as week-by-week calendars. The weekly report was designed for entering individual receipts. You can only use the weekly report to enter trips for which you do not want to do per diem settlement of meals or accommodations.
    Travel Expense Manager
This scenario is the central entry scenario of Travel Expenses. You can create and change both domestic and international trips for an employee. You can also enter both trip per diems / flat rates and individual receipts.
With this scenario you can change any trip that was recorded using the travel expense manager, the travel calendar or trip advances. You can also use this scenario to change trips that you have transferred to Accounting, Payroll Accounting or data medium exchange. Other than in the travel calendar, you can only edit one trip at a time in this scenario.

    Raynard

  • ESS Travel Management - Create Expense report error

I am getting below error when "creating expense report" from the portal iView. We are implementing ONLY Travel Expenses subcomponent in the SAP Travel Management, and NOT implementing Travel Requests and Travel Planning.

<b>Thanks in advance for any help. Any help to resolve this issue is highly appreciated.</b>
    NVR.

I am having the same issue but with table TA20C.  Like you, we are not using Travel Requests or Travel Planning.  I posted a note on ASUG and got a response back from someone else with the same issue.  They opened an OSS note and received the following:
"the webdynpro travel services require a minimal consistent
travel planning customizing - if you only use the expenses part.
The consistency check of the customizing is within 1 function module
for both parts planning and expenses. This is indeed not the case in
backend. There will be no change.
The arguments for the tables TA20C and TA20B are influences by the#
return value delivered back from feature TRVOF. So if you only have
entries with user group blank you must ensure that the feature
delivers back a blank user group."
    Hope this helps.

  • PR05 access Travel Manager and Expense Report screen

    Hi,
Can anyboy suggest how to use T Code PR05?
    1. When I enter T Code PR05, first screen is for Travel Expense Manager. This screen is used by Manager to Approve or Reject Travel Expense Report. Then I have to click on create button to get into Travel Expense screen.
Can we get into Travel Expense screen in T Code PR05 directly instead of getting into Travel Manager screen?
If yes, please suggest what settings needs to be done?
    2. Can we create Travel Request in T Code PR05?
    3. Can we manage the Travel Manager screen and Travel Expense screen seperately by Security, such that, Traveller should access only Travel Expense screen. He shouldnot get into Travel Manager screen. Similarly, Manager should be able to access only Travel Manager screen but not Create Travel Expense Report screen.
    Please suggest.

I'm not sure if I get your point but PR05 functions are build on authorizations.
So if the manager should only be able to approve than you can give only this authorizations to the manager. (transaction PFCG)
And for Approval from Manager you should set up a worfklow with a work item - so the manager should only have display rights for PR05.
(Or even better - just use WebDynpro POWL for the manager to approve without a workflow running in the back)
Yes you are able to create a travel request via PR05 - just enter future date.

  • ESS Travel Management - Display Expense report

    Hi,
I'm working on the ESS for ERP 6 Ehp3 where the travel management iViews are Web Dynpro ABAP based. When I display the expense report of the expense created in "Create Expense Report" iView, it launches a new window that loads the expense report in PDF form. However inside the new window, only the pdf toolbars are visible because the container's height is very less.
There is an SAP note number 1140369 for Web Dynpro Java based travel management iView for same problem but not for the Web Dynpro ABAP based iView.
    Has anyone fixed this before?
    regards,
    Manish

    Hi,
It's not about the iView height. Only the new window that open from the "Create expense report" iView and loads an adobe pdf form. Only the pdf form's toolbars are visible and nothing else.

  • Attach receipt soft copy against each receipt created in Travel Expense Report

    Hi,
I want to attach each receipt to each expense line in Travel Expense Report.
I created one OSS message, for which SAP replied, that
GUID is the key for the receipts and the attachment will be linked to it. It is possible to attach because the pers.No., TripNo. and the GUID are available.
I didnot understand what is GUID and how do we activate it?
    Kindly help me to understand.

    Hi Vijay,
I think there's been some confusion here because it is possible to add attachments to individual receipts in SAP standard (you don't need OpenText).
It is relatively new functionality because you'll need to be on EHP6 or higher and have activated business function FIN_TRAVEL_4, see details at this link:
Travel Management 4 - Financial Accounting (FI) - SAP Library
If you have activated FIN_TRAVEL_4 then check the link below for specific information on how to activate the option to add attachments to individual receipts:
Transfer of Attachments to Receipts - Travel Expenses - SAP Library
    Hope this helps,

  • Create Travel Expense Report link missing in ESS

    Hello Gurus,
I am unable to see the Create Travel Expense Report link in the ESS Travel & Management tab. I have modified SPRO and details are as below:
    1) In SPRO, I have copied the standard Resource (EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV05) and Service (EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSEREPORT05) as new Resource (Z_EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV05) and Service (Z_EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSEREPORT05).
    2) I have changed the URL Parameter in Z_EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_EXPENSES_SRV05.
    3) Later I have deleted the new "Z" Resource and Service that I have created in the SPRO, so that I wanted to default back to the standard.
After deleting the "Z" Resource and Service in SPRO, I am not able to see the "Create Travel Expense Report" link from the Travel and Expenses area page in portal. Though I was able to execute the iView directly from the Portal PCD.
Did any one got similar kind of problem ????
Could you please reply with your suggestion or advise how you have fixed this problem.
    Thanks for any help.
    Ram.

    Hi Bharathwaj,
    Thanks for your helpful answer.
I have checked the Area Page EMPLOYEE_TRAVEL_ERP2005, but I don't see any entry for services.
It has Area Link Text, Picture Resource, Area Link Type and Link Resource only....
Can you suggest if I have to see any other setting ??
    Thanks for your help.
