TREX 7.0 (Single/Multiple) Host Configuration Guide

Dear All,
We are going to Configure TREX 7.0 and integration with the CRM 5.0 can anyone guide me in this regard with links or document if any.  This is a bit urgent task need to perform please help me.

Hi
From service marketplace try downloading the TREX connectivity document for CRM and TREX 6.0 the steps are more or less the same for connectivty between CRM and TREX you need to  install TREX  in separate box followed by creating the RFC destination between crm and TREX at a time trex can be connected to one RFC destination only example CRM DEV with TREX or CRM QTY with TREX you cannot use TREX with QTY and DEV  at the same time .
you also need to do the customiseing settings for enterprise intelligence in CRM5.0 spro settings and use crmc_saftool transaction code for the further settings you can also use TREXADMIN transaction code for the TREX http server queue server and index server logs to check after establishing the connectivity for useing TREX for CRM ABAP stack is required for TREX for EP you need to use java stack for connectivity  between the systems
please do reward the points if helpful

  • Can multiple  hosts exist on single instance

    Hi B2B gurus,
I would like to present a scenario i am trying to work out.
Lets say there are 2 buyers B1 and B2
    And 2 suppliers S1 and S2.
The buyers send a PO to the supplier and the lets say the Supplier sends an Invoice to the Buyer.
Also there are 8 agreements in all. I mean all possible combinations such that a buyer can send a PO to any supplier and a Supplier can send a invoice to any Buyer.
My understanding of B2B is that it is generally a single Host TP and there can be multiple remote TP's.
To make my scenario work we will need multiple host TP's. One solution for this is to install N instances of B2B. But that is not feasible.
So is it possible to install only one instance of B2B and create multiple Host TP's and multiple agreements as i wanted.
We can use an API or something similar for this, so that this can all be done through the backend.
I agree that this may seem a little confusing, so if you have any queries feel free to ask them
    Thanks
    Ravi
Edited by: Ravi R on Apr 27, 2009 4:47 PM

I did read the two forums you have mentioned, from this my understanding is the following.
Without tweaking the current B2B sytem i can have one TP send multiple format documents to multiple TP's without any problems.
Eg B1 can send to S1 a PO over email . B1 can also send a Change Order to S1 via AS2/FTP?any other method.
    Is my understanding correct??
So if i were to use the hub model as you suggested i will use different identifiers to identify multiple buyer TP's
And hence there will be lotsa agreements all on the basis of identifiers and doc received and that will decide the target doc format and the transport delivery method.
Qn 1 - Does this seem to make sense? (feasibility, possible issues )
Qn 2 - What will be the performance consideration? Is there any performacne guide or so ??

  • Pro's and Con's if i run multiple host firmware packages in the single chassis

    hi
i would like to know pro's and Con's if i run multiple host firmware packages in the single chassis.
Like if my UCS is running with firmware of 1.4.1m ( having backup of 1.3.1 and 1.1.1j) with 3 blades in one chassis
can i assign  service-profiles having three different host firmware versions
    Server1 - host firmware 1.1.1j-- win2k8
    server2 -host firmware 1.4.1m -- RHEL 5.6 ( OS)
server -host firmware 1.3.1 -(esxi 4.0)
Thanks in advance ,please replay if can i go ahead with this . ASAP

Yes, you can package them together.
Now Cisco has a better way. Cisco UCS Manager provides two main advantages over past firmware provisioning:
    • The capability to group multiple firmware components together in one package
    • The capability to apply a firmware package to any compatible server in a single operation
Cisco  UCS Manager provides an accurate, easier, faster, more flexible, and  centralized solution for managing firmware across the entire hardware  stack. Service profiles in Cisco UCS Manager abstract the physical  hardware from its software properties. Service profiles allow  administrators to associate any compatible firmware with any component  of the hardware stack. Simply download the firmware versions needed from  Cisco and then, within minutes, totally provision firmware on  components within the server, fabric interconnect, and fabric extender  based on required network, server, and storage policies per application  and operating system.

  • Invalidation and multiple hosts.....

Is it possilbe to configure web cache invalidation across multiple hosts?
    Here is our situation:
    1. We have many distinct sites with distinct virtual hosts that are publically available... For example: http://myPublicSite1.foo.com/ and http://myPublicSite2.foo.com/
    2. For purposes of security, all our content managers are forced to access these sites to manage their content via an internal url that is only accessilble on our network... For example: http://myInternal.foo.com/
Our problem is that when edits are made via the internal url, the external sites are not updated with the most recent content.
We assume this is because invalidation is host based.
Any suggestions as to how we can serve up the most recent content on both hosts?
Thanks in advance for any help offered......

    Hi thanks for your responses...
We have a single mid-tier set with many access URL's ....
We have one single "inside URL" which is used for all content management of the many public URLS...
    We have multiple "outside/public" URLs....
I am double checking our site aliases further, but at first glance all looks to be configured correctly....
    Thanks again for your replies....

    Loyalty functionality in sales order
    Solution
Please read the documentation below Setup for Integration of Sales Order with Loyalty for CRM 7.0 You can use this note to integrate the loyalty application with sales order to allow customers to earn reward points on purchase of products, redeem points and buy point products. To enable the above-mentioned functionality, the following set up has to be carried out in the system: -> Product master data You have to add SetType REWARD_PRO_LOY (created for product type Material) to the product category. You may create a new product category for loyalty products. You can add the settype to a product category using the following steps: 1. Use transaction COMM_HIERARCHY
    2. Search for the category to be used for loyalty products
    3. In the SetTypes tab under Category Data, add REWARD_PRO_LOY as the settype After the settype is added to the loyalty product category, it will appear as point information assignment block in the product overview page. Here, you can maintain point information for Accrual, Redemption and Buy Points scenarios. You have to select the Scenario, Point Type (Points, Miles etc) and enter the associated number of points. The following three activities are supported: -> Accrual
In this scenario, a customer buys standard products and earns reward points for his purchase. The actual points to be accrued will be maintained at product master data level.  You have to select EARN as the loyalty scenario. Example: We have a product, Laptop T 61, which has 1000 reward points associated with it, at the product master level. If a customer buys this product a member activity will be created and 1000 points will be credited to his account. Note: You can maintain points for a product with a particular loyalty scenario in the point information assignment block of product overview page. -> Redemption
In this scenario, a customer redeems his points to buy products. In CRM 7.0, redemption products have 100% discount and can be bought only by points. The point value of such products will be maintained at product master data level in point information assignment block. You have to select REDEEM as the loyalty scenario. Example: We have a keyboard HT-1010, which has a price of 5000 points (and 100% discount). If a customer buys this product, a member activity will be created and 5000 points will be deducted from the customer's account. -> Buy Points
This functionality enables a customer to purchase points. The point value of such products will be maintained at product master data level under the point Information assignment block. You have to select BUYPOINTS as the loyalty scenario. Note:
Point information is maintained for 1 base unit of product .If the quantity and unit of measure are changed, the points will be calculated accordingly.
-> Customizing in SPRO You have maintained the following customizing settings in SPRO:
-> In the customizing activity Define Point Types for Sales-Order Integration, you maintain point types. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide   Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Loyalty Management - Design  Channel Integration  Define Point Types for Sales-Order Integration Point Information in product master can be maintained only for these point types.
-> In the customizing activity Define Categories and Types for Sales Order Integration, you maintain member activity category, activity type, sales order status for which activity will be created and the processing delay ( Process On Hold) for a particular loyalty scenario. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Loyalty Management - Execution  Member Activities  Define Categories and Types for Sales Order Integration
-> In the customizing activity Define Transaction Types, you maintain the transaction types for accrual, redemption and buy points. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Transactions  Basic Settings  Define Transaction Types Note:
Reference transaction types LTAA, LTAR and LTAB are delivered for CRM IC and UIU. For web channel, transaction types ISLA, ISLR and ISLB are delivered. You can create new transaction types on project basis but transaction classification should be maintained as A, R and B for accrual, redemption and buy points transactions respectively. For redemption transaction LTAR, the item category is LTAR where the pricing process is maintained as 100% discount. Therefore, the net value will always be 0 for redemption items and only points will be charged. You have to maintain the condition 0R10 in pricing procedure. The pricing procedure 0CRM01 contains the details of condition 0R10. If you do not maintain 100% discount, then additional currency price will be displayed. For example, $200 + 100 MILES. Billing and delivery related customizing has to be done on a project basis. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------- Setup for Integration of Sales Order with Loyalty in EhPx for CRM 7.0 You can use this note to integrate the loyalty application with sales order to allow customers to earn reward points on purchase of products, redeem points and buy point products.
This is an optional activity. In many cases, the points accrued will not be maintained in the product master data but will be determined based on reward rules. In such cases, you do not have to maintain the SetType. -> Buy Points
This functionality enables a customer to purchase points. The point value of such products will be maintained at product master data level under the point Information assignment block. You have to select BUYPOINTS as the loyalty scenario. This activity is mandatory for Buy Points scenario.
Note:
Point information is maintained for 1 base unit of product .If the quantity and unit of measure are changed, the points will be calculated accordingly. Redemption functionality in Ehp1 for CRM 7.0 In case of redemption, you have three payment options to choose from. You choose the payment option in the customizing activity Define Mixed Payment for Sales Order Integration. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide   Customer Relationship Management  Marketing   Loyalty Management  Channel Integration  Define Mixed Payment for Sales Order Integration a) Fixed redemption value from Product Master
The point information will be picked from the SetType as explained above and 100% discount will be given at item category level. Attached is the screenshot of the same. Using Pricing Process, you can select whether normal pricing is executed or 100% discount is given. In addition to the above-mentioned setting, a 100% discount condition should be included in the pricing procedure. For this purpose, you can use the standard condition 0R10 in the pricing procedure. b) Mixed redemption using Conditions and IPC With Ehp1 for CRM 7.0, mixed payment functionality is available. This enables a consumer to pay with points and money in a single sales transaction. You can maintain point prices as conditions in product master data under the Prices assignment block. The condition type
0LM1 with condition tables SAP002, 003 and 004 are used to maintain these point conditions as seen in the screenshot below. Select the option '0LM1_LM_SAP002' from the dropdown. Select 0LM1_LM_SAP002 from the dropdown. In the above screenshot, Price in Points = 100% point price , Max Price in Points = maximum points a consumer can spend, Min Price in Points = minimum points a consumer should spend for this product. Note:
In the above scenario, entries in Point Information assignment block will not be considered for redemption but the information will be picked from the conditions. A new usage LM is developed for points as conditions. You can use the customizing activity Condition Technique: Basics to develop condition tables, access sequences, condition types and point procedures.
For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide   Customer Relationship Management  Master Data  Conditions and Condition Technique  Condition Technique: Basics You can create condition objects with application CRM and usage LM. The point procedure 0LM001 is delivered and can be used in a sales transaction using the below the customizing Determine Point Procedures. Point information will be fetched by executing this procedure. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide   Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Loyalty Management  Channel Integration  Determine Point Procedures You can assign this point procedure to a particular sales org, distribution channel, division, customer pricing procedure and document pricing procedure the same way it is done with pricing procedure. If you decide to use only points in a sales transaction (consumer has to pay 100% point price always), a standard pricing procedure with 100% discount would suffice. If you want to allow mixed pricing, for example, a consumer can pay anything between 1000 to 2000 points and rest in currency, then condition type 2902 (point based discount) should be included in the pricing procedure and 100% discount should not be chosen at item category level as explained above. The conversion rate between points and currency can be maintained in CRM UI in the following manner:
    1. Go to Loyalty Management
    2. Select Prices
    3. Choose 2900 as the Price Maintenance Group
Attached is the screenshot of the same. Here 1 USD is maintained as 1 point. Product specific conversion rates are also allowed. Condition type 2901 is the reference condition type for 2902 and 2903 (used in flexible order and is described later in the section flexible order). Scales can be maintained for the conversion rates. For example, for the first 1000 Points it is 0.5 USD per point. From 1000 to 2000 points, it is 0.75 USD per point and from 2000 points onwards, it is 1 USD per 1 Point Example of Sales order Here, a product TV-1000 is maintained with Point price as 1000 Miles and Min Point price  as 500 miles and Max point as 1000 Miles. A consumer purchases this product using a redemption transaction and spends 500 points. With a conversion rate of 1 USD equal 1 point, the net value becomes 500 USD + 500 Miles. If consumer spends 1000 Miles, the net value will be 0 USD + 1000 miles. Similarly, various combinations of maximum price and minimum price can be maintained in Product master and accordingly consumer can use his points to redeem products. c) Mixed payment using Flexible order If you do not wish to maintain point prices for individual products due to high volume of products, specifically in retail, then they you select this option where during the checkout, consumer will be given the option to use his points. Discount will be given based on the points spent at an item level. In this case, the only thing you have to maintain is a fixed conversion rate (condition type 2901). The transaction type will be the same as accrual. For example, a consumer purchases a product HT-1000 on which he can earn 1000 special points. During checkout, he will be asked to use his points. Use Point Payment will be enabled, and he can enter points he wants to redeem. If he decides to use 500 points, then a discount will be given to him based on the points spent. Here, with a conversion rate of 1 USD equal to 1 point, 500 USD discount will be given and accrual information will be lost. Hence, the points spent will be equal to 500. Discount Based on Member Basic and Lifetime Tiers In accrual transactions, discounts can be given to members who have reached a particular tier (Basic and Lifetime tiers). This can be maintained as a condition using the following steps:
    1. In CRM UI, go to Loyalty Management
    2. Select Prices
    3. Choose 29MD as the Price Maintenance Group
Here, we can maintain the percentage discount on a product for a particular basic and lifetime tier. The condition type 29MD should be included in the pricing procedure of sales transaction to provide discounts. In sales order processing, you can check the discount under the assignment block Price Totals on the overview page. In this case, a 2% discount is given based on the above condition as shown in the third row) Generation of Billing Documents Once a sales order is created and saved, you can generate a billing document as a follow up activity. For loyalty sales transactions, the following three new fields are added to the billing document.
    -> Points
    -> Point type
-> Points spent In Accrual and Buy Points scenarios, Points = Points accrued; Point type = Miles, points etc; Points spent = 0 In redemption scenarios, Points = Total point price; Point type = Miles, Points etc; Points spent = points spent by the consumer To generate billing document from a sales order, you have to select a relevant billing option for the item category. In this case, we have selected Transaction-Related Billing According to Order Quantity. The billing will happen via CRM Billing.
Note: Only CRM Billing is currently supported
As billing will happen only if the order is replicated successfully to ERP (where shipping, delivery and logistics will be done), you have to ensure that all the master data, for example, products, BP (sold to party), conditions, etc are present in ERP along with the transaction type and item category (for example, LTAA and LTAN). Once replication is complete, we can create a billing document from the sales order overview page. Select Create Follow-up and choose Billing. -> Customizing in SPRO You have maintained the following customizing settings in SPRO:
-> In the customizing activity Define Point Types for Sales-Order Integration, you maintain point types. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide   Customer Relationship Management  Marketing   Loyalty Management  Channel Integration   Define Point Types for Sales-Order Integration Point Information in product master can be maintained only for these point types.
-> In the customizing activity Define Categories and Types for Sales Order Integration, you maintain member activity category, activity type, sales order status for which activity will be created and the processing delay (Process On Hold) for a particular loyalty scenario. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Loyalty Management  Member Activities  Define Categories and Types for Sales Order Integration
-> In the customizing activity Define Transaction Types, you maintain the transaction types for accrual, redemption and buy points. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Transactions  Basic Settings  Define Transaction Types
    Note:
-> In the customizing activity Assign Product Hierarchy for Sales Order Integration, you register the product hierarchy if it is not the same as sales operation hierarchy. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Loyalty Management  Channel Integration  Assign Product Hierarchy for Sales Order Integration This customizing will help you create reward rules based on product categories and process them during creation of member activity using sales order. -> In the customizing activity Determine Pricing Procedure, you maintain 29CRLM as the pricing procedure for loyalty transactions. For more information, see SAP Customizing Implementation guide  Customer Relationship Management  Marketing  Business Functions  Pricing  Pricing in the Business Transaction  Determine Pricing Procedure For more information please refer to the attachment and IMG Documentation.

  • Question: Best practices for dealing with multiple AM configurations

    Hello all,
I have a project using ADF Business Components and ADF Faces. I would like to set up multiple configurations for the Application Modules to support the following scenarios:
1). Local testing and debugging - using a connection defined in JDeveloper and AM Pooling turned off.
2). Testing and debugging on an application server - using a JDBC Data Source and AM Pooling turned off
3). Production deployment - using a JDBC Data Source and AM Pooling turned on.
It is no problem to create multiple AM configurations to reflect this scenario. In order for the web part of the application to use the correct configurations, the DataBindings.cpx file must specify the correct ones. I was thinking to have 3 different DataBindings.cpx files and to change the CpxFileName context-param in the web.xml file as needed.
    My questions:
1). Does this make sense as an approach? It should be better than having to change a single AM configuration every time I deploy or test. Is there any easy way to keep multiple DataBIndings.cpx files in synch, given that we may add new pages from time-to-time? Alternatively, can we do some type of "include" processing to include just the dataControlUsages section into a common DataBindings.cpx file?
2). How would you manage the build-and-deploy process? For the most part, in JDev we would be using configuration #1. The only time to switch to configuration #2 or #3 would be to build an EAR file for deployment. Is this something that it would make sense to accomplish with ANT? I'm not an ANT expert at all. The ANT script would have "build-test-ear" and "build-prod_ear" targets which would swap in a correct web.xml file, recompile everything, build the EAR, then put the development web.xml file back. I'm relatively sure this is possible... comments?
3). Is there some other recommended approach?
I appreciate any insights from experience, or even just ideas or thoughts that I can test out.
    Best regards,
    John

    Hi K,
Sorry for the long long delay in responding I've been traveling - and thanks for the e-mail tickler too...
To answer your question in short, I do think that ANT is the right way to go; there is an extra ANT task called XMLTask that I was able to download and play with, and it seems it would make this manipulation of the cpx file (or the xcfg file, for that matter) pretty straightforward. I don't have any code to post; it's just in the conceptual stage for me right now. I didn't see anything magical in JDev 11 TP3 that solved this problem for me either.
Having said all of that, it's more complicated than it might appear. In addition to the DataBindings.cpx file (stores, among other things, which AM configuration to use for each data control), it's certainly possible to programmatically access an AM (specifying the configuration either directly in the code or via a properties file/etc). I'm not sure what the most common use case for AM configurations is, but in my case, I have a Test configuration and a Prod configuration. The Test config, among other things, disables AM pooling. When I am developing/testing, I always use the Test config; in Production, I always use the Prod config. Perhaps the best way for me to do this would be to have an "Active" config and use ANT tasks to copy either Test or Prod to "Active." However, our Subversion repository is going to have a few complaints about this.

  • Help in C14: E-Commerce Best Practices Configuration Guide!

    Hello,
I am using CRM 5.0 System and following [C14: E-Commerce Configuration guide|http://help.sap.com/bp_crmv340/CRM_DE/BBLibrary/Documentation/C14_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_US.doc] and stuck up at the following points:
    1. As per the step 4.1.4.2 XCM Configuration for User Administration, when i try to login in http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/admin/xcm/init.do using my user id i get No Authorization error message, even after assigning the SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role to my user id. Do i need any other role to login into this URL? Anyhow, I continued this step by using J2EE_ADMIN user account and created a new configuration scenario called TEST_APP and also created and assigned a new JCo component with my back end CRM details and did a test which was also success.
    2. In step 4.1.4.5 Creating the Super User for the Customer, when i try to access the url http://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/useradmin/init.do?scenario.xcm=TEST_APP the url automatically redirects to https://<host>:<port>/isauseradm/user/secureSwitch.do and i get a browser message saying that The page cannot be displayed. Without this step i cannot move further. I even restarted CRM Server and still the result is the same.
Can anyone please explain why i am getting this "Page cannot be displayed" message instead of what's written in the configuration guide? And why couldn't i login using my user id even after assigning myself SAP_J2EE_ADMIN role?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Vasu

    Hi Vasu,
Please check the assigned authorization objects for the role SAP_J2EE_ADMIN using PFCG transaction. In the standard SAP doesn't add any authorizations to the role, so that you can't really use it to login to XCM applications.
Do not forget to reward the useful answers

    Sriramakrishnan-
Here is how you configure your UWL with GP:
    1. Login as an administrator into your Enterprise Portal and navigate to System Administration -> System Configuration
    2. Click on Universal Worklist Administration in the Universal Worklist and Workflow folder under Detailed Navigation
    3. Click on the New button to create a new UWL System.
    4. Provide a System Alias of your choice, and choose the Connector Type as GuidedProceduresConnector and click on Save
    5. Initiate your GP Process and you should see it in the UWL of your processor: login as the processor and navigate to Home -> Work
I do not recall making any changes to any web services.
    Cheers-

  • No Radius hosts configured...

For days now, I've been trying to troubleshoot an authentication problem and the solution still eludes me.
I have a Windows 7 SP1 laptop, a wireless client, that should be able to access the wireless network LAB1 with SSID AP1.
It should authenticate with a Windows 2008 R2 SP1 DC/NPS server via a Cisco Aironet 1142 access point.
    Authentication is "Open with EAP".
    EAP type is EAP-TLS.
Two entries in the Aironet Event Log, I believe, are related to the problem:
Error - No Radius hosts configured or no valid server present in the group rad_eap
Debugging - Station [MAC addr here] Authentication Failed.
The MAC addr is that of the Windows 7 SP1 laptop attempting to connect to the network via the access point.
Could someone verify that my configuration is correct for what I want to accomplish (wireless access by laptops using EAP (EAP-TLS) authentication and - for now - WEP encryption???
Also, what could explain the error message above about no Radius servers? The output of "show run" below seems to indicate that Radius is configured, correctly or not...
Here is the ouput of the "show run" command on the Aironet 1142 (via telnet) - followed by the error messages in the Windows 7 laptop Event Viewer (WLAN Auto-Config section):

But since it looks like the rest of the setup is fine, what I would like to do *now* is configure the Aironet to work with WPA2.
WEP was only used for testing (well, if I can't make it work with WPA/2, what about WEP?)
Since the WPA2 - EAP-TLS combination works just fine with the the Linksys, I have to conclude it's just a matter of entering the right commands on the Aironet to make this work.
Yes, I'm almost ready to give up on the web-based GUI, it's closed on me twice when I click on "Apply" and it appears the configuration is not saved entirely (???).
CLI via telnet seems both faster and more reliable but I don't know all the commands. Some of the documentation I've found assumes other situations, such as authentication with LEAP or use of a controller. Still looking...

  • Using multiple Development Configurations

    Hi,
I am runningn NWDS 7.0.0.6 and I want to configure multipe Development Configurations because I have to connect to serveral NWDIs (to differenct customers).
    Any Idea?
    Kind regards
    Michael

With a single NWDS instance you <b>can</b> actually import multiple development configurations, not just one. If you want to import configurations from different NWDI servers, you would have to switch the Development Configuration Pool settings under Window -> Preferences -> Java Development Infrastructure to point to the other NWDI's SLD.
The biggest problem with the current releases of NWDS is however that they cannot use multiple sets of credentials for logging on to these development configurations: You can only log on to configs of multiple NWDI servers if you have the same userid and password on these servers.
Note that the Development Configuration Pool setting is only used when you want to import configurations, it is not used during the log on process.

  • Configuring Guided Procedures with the Universal Worklist

    hi experts,
Pls give me the steps to Configure Guided Procedures with the Universal Worklist....
I have the help file with me but it doesn't work ... and my configuration is NWDS 7.0 sp9.
    pls help me
    with regards,
    sriram

    Hi,
You can configure your system so that the tasks generated in Guided Procedures (GP) workflows, both on local and remote systems, are displayed in the Universal Worklist (UWL) together with the tasks pertaining to other SAP NetWeaver Portal work areas.
You perform the configuration steps on the consumer side:
           1.      Create a portal system, specifying the host name, HTTP port of the GP tasks provider and, if available, the WSDL of the relevant service.
           2.      Register the system as the item provider for UWL and configure it for remote access.
You establish the connection between GP and the UWL by assigning a system alias.
           3.      In UWL, browse all pending GP tasks assigned to your user.
You can only view tasks assigned to your user, that is, the logon ID of the user on both systems must match.
    Prerequisites:-
    a)  You have been assigned the System Admin portal role to be able to create portal systems and aliases. For more information, see Administration Roles.
    b) You have been assigned the Standard User role to be able to access UWL in the portal. For more information, see Default Portal Content for Standard Users.
    c) You know the host name of the system from which you want to retrieve GP tasks
Step by Step Procedure guide can be found out at
[Step by Step Procedure for COnfiguring GP with UWL|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/43/ef06a7860c7061e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm]
    Hope this helps,

  • LMS configuration guide

    Hi Experts,
I need help on Cisco Prime LMS 4.1, I have installed it on the server and added some devices through add/import inventory but did not get any logs from devices.
I also configure snmp-server read and write community commands with snmp host commands,
Can i get any configuration guide or any link for related documents.
    Expecting reply
    Thanks
    Fazal

After the addition Ciscoworks should automatically start managing the devices. The first thing it would do is to collect Inventory details to get it managed.
When you simply add a device using IP and login/snmp credentials via add/import, the device should appear unknown and once the basic inventory is done, ciscoworks should show device family icon (switch/router/FW/Voice etx), which should reflect LMS has started managing you device(s).
It seems "logs" is not clear on what is exactly you dont get.
Make sure the Credentials are correct which you can check via Credentials verification job, from:
Inventory > Job Browsers: Device Credential Verification
As Ciscoworks LMS is combinations of various modules segregated feature-wise like configuration, Fault Management, IP SLA etc. For more details please check the following End-User Guide Section :
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11200/products_user_guide_list.html

  • Re: All on One Host Configuration

Evaluation mode runs on a single host. Please note that it is called evaluation mode because scale-able production deployments are NOT supported in evaluation mode.

    Hi,
A small correction: There are two single host configurations for VDI ("All on One Host" and "VDI Demo").
    * All on One Host - http://wikis.sun.com/display/VDI3/Supported+Configurations#SupportedConfigurations-AllonOneHost
    * VDI Demo - http://wikis.sun.com/display/VDI3/Getting+Started+-VDIDemo
The VDI Demo is not a supported production environment configuration, but the "All on One Host" configuration is fully supported as long as you have an extra support contract with MySQL to cover the InnoDB engine.
    Best regards,
