I have a suggestion -- call someone you know who has access to high speed internet and ask him/her to download the combo dmg file, put it on a CD, and mail it to you in an envelope. If you are not too far from an Apple Store, they might let you bring a CD in to do the same.
Otherwise, you'll need to re-do the download again because it no doubt was corrupted by the power failure. The starting over might have worked except for the reason for the interruption being a power failure, which is hard to recover from. -

After downloading the a pop up box called Warning appears with saying 'The following disk images failed to mount' and below that there is a table that has Image with a Firefox 3.6.3 and another field called Reason saying Corrupt image. The current version of firefox I am using is 2.0.0.7

I am attempting to download "Firefox 3.5.10", each attempt the results state "The disk image failed to mount due to corrupt image". I really need this browser for my on-line learning. Please help! By the way 2.0 downloaded fine, but is not compatible with the University web site.

I went into Mac OS Updates and downloaded the latest version of Java Script. After restart I was able to mount the new Firefox and it seems to be working now. -

I have a windows 8 computer and I installed the newest version of itunes because I used to have an ipod and I have a few purchases that I wanted to listen to. When I try to play them it says it's playing but I can't hear anything. It does not even says it's played the whole way. It just stays at the beginning. It won't let me pause. I checked my computer sound and there is nothing wrong with it. So there must be some software problem but idk what it is. If anyone can help I would appreciated. Thank-you

It sounds like there is an issue burning CD's in iTunes. Is the playback issue only occurring on a specific device and does the disc show up correctly in iTunes? Why does my direct download of Design Standard CS6 say " Disk image couldn't be opened.
REason stated: NOT RECOGNIZED. I am using OS10.6.8
There could be couple of possibilities for the issue :-
1) Permission issues :-Open your Applications folder, then Utilities. Open Disk Utility, select your hard drive, and click Repair Disk Permissions.
2) Some software conflict :- Restart the machine in Safe mode and then check.
3) Damaged Downloaded file :- in which case you have to download the file again and check -
Hi, whenever I try to plug in my iphone to a computer it says, "USB DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED". I just want my phone to charge because it is dead. Ive tried to charge on my xbox, nothing. Tried a different charger, nothing.
Try cleaning the connector on the bottom of the phone. Use a magnifying glass to see what is stuck inside, a dry toothbrush and/or wood or plastic toothpicks (nothing metal). If that doesn't resolve the problem your phone is broken.

I have MacOS 10.3.9The last version of Firefox that works on OS X 10.3.9 is Firefox 2.0.0.20. Starting with Firefox 3 the minimum requirements is OS X 10.4, and for Firefox 4 it will be OS X 10.5 and an Intel mac.

if you select the MacOSXUpdCombo10.7.5.dmg file which you’d downloaded, and press ⌘i to Get Info on it, what information is shown for it under ▼ General: Size? My initial guess is that you could have an incomplete download of that file. -
