Trigger Smart form from Account Management

Hi Experts,
I need to triger a smart form form accout management screen.
I am trying implementing BADI , PARTNER_UPDATE , Method CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE.
I am able to implement this in GUI and sucessfully able to call my smartform. Now the issue lies in calling this Smartform on portal page.
This BADI gets triggered but the smart form is not displayed.
Any inputs on this.
Help will be appreciated.

Hi Gurus,
I need to trigger a smart form from a user exit.
The tcode name is COR1.there is a exit for this tocde.
This exit should be used to trigger the smart form.
User exit to be executed upon saving the Process order number.

Hi,
You can write a Custom program i.e. the driver program for your smart form.
And submit that program in the exit. i.e. use the submit statement to run that program.

Copy Smart Forms from 4.6 to ERP

Hi,
I wonder if it is possible to transport/copy some Smart Forms from one system (4.6c) to another system (ERP).
I thought of exporting the data from our 4.6 system, using the transport manager, and import it into the ERP system.
Not tested so far and just wanted to get some statements or hints on how to handle this.

Hi,
You will not be able to download smartform in 4.6c to a local file since there is no facility provided for this 4.6c version.
This kind of facility is only available from 4.7 version only.
So U cannot download the smartform to a local file.

Open iProcurement Smart form from a Third Party System

Hi,
I have a requirement to open the iProcurement smart form from a third party system. We have the Single Sign on functionality so the user can log into the oracle apps without entering the credentials.
Please share if someone has prior knowledge on that.

If the ICX_SESSION is already available then the form(I am assuming you are refering to a web based form here) should open directly if the function should be accessible to the user logged in. When you say your custom application is included in Oracle apps are you launching these pages from the Ebiz home page through menus and functions ?

Smart Wi-Fi account management questions.

I have a Smart Wi-Fi account and I've got two networks that I manage. I've had trouble with one of the networks and ended up having to reconfigure and reinstall the router. (I did not backup the original settings, my bad.) Now that I've reconfigured the router I've attempted to get it registered with Smart Wi-Fi but I dont' get any prompts to do so. I also can not remove the old configuration from my Smart Wi-Fi account, (which shows off-line). There doesn't seem to be any way to manage this.
The router is a EA6500.
Can anyone help me with this?

It has not asked to be "associated", I've tried logging in directly to the router and selecting the Smart Wi-Fi and then logging in with those credentials and the reverse, it just keeps looping. There needs to be a management function but it doesn't look like Linksys built in that function.
I may do a hard reset when I have time and run the setup again and see if I can get it to work. I'll give it some time to see if one of the Linksys support folks can provide some info.

Error in calling/converting smart form from ECC to pdf in portal.

We have a requirement in our project where we have to show IT form in portal exactly in the way payslip are shown in ESS
Screen, that is in the pdf form in ess portal screen.
For this my HR abap consultant has made one customize smart form which is being called from a RFC FM.
After the FM lf_fm_name gets executed , the OTF data is being captured and then converted in to PDF.
After that the PDF is then converted into XSTRING format which is then supplied to the portal side through export parameter
of the RFC.
Now when we debugged the RFC, the conversion is taking place perfectly fine in to XSTRING.This is wat we assume.
Portal Side: I have used Iframe ui ELEMENT in my webdynpro java and its property source I have binded with a value attribute
of type string and I am executing above customize RFC given to me by my HR abap consultant and after executing that RFC with
userID and payroll year as its import parameter I am taking export parameter of that RFC with name pdf_string of type XSTRING
of that RFC into my webdynpro java value attribute which i binded to source property of Iframe.
Now when we see the output in portal , first of all pdf is not getting generated and its showing the error message:
file does not begin with '%pdf-' and secondly errored Adobe form getting opened outside Iframe window its not coming within
Iframe window like what payslip comes inside Iframe UI element.
I want to know what mistake we are doing in our ABAP coding or portal coding.
Please help.

Dynamic Changes in Smart Form ( From External Source )

Hi Raja,
As far as my understanding goes this cannot be achieved by an external program but what you can do is that you can some flags that you can set in the print program and when you pass them to the smart form function module(the function module generated by the smartform) you can decide whether certain windows need to be displayed or not by giving a condition to them. You can have two windows with diferrent attributes and then switch between them with the help of flags acting as conditions.

Hi,
Enable hotspot option in the field catalog for the .SO.NUMBER field. On clicking on SO.Number
get the cursor field value and call the smart form in the PAI (ie., in user_command module).
Probably pick ucomm triggers with hotspot.

Error when exexuting a smart form from print program

Hi,
I have created a Print Program & Layout Set [Smart Form].
Now when i executed Print program it is throwing following error.
As internal table that we are passing to F.M is not having any data i have appended some data in debug mode.
After htting Print Immediaely Button Following EXIT Error is coming.
No table is currently processed, switching lines is not possible.
Message no. SSFCOMPOSER 183
Diagnosis
You tried to switch to the next table line, but currently no table is open for output.
System Response
The system issues an error message.
Procedure
This is probably an internal error. Please contact the SAP hotline and report the problem.

Make sure that you have proper definations of internal table in program and smartform.

I hae create d ADOBE form and want to trigger it on "Save" record from Custom Infotype....
I need this form to be displied as User my do some changes and save it again...
I have used following code to trigger this from module pool...
Data : lv_fm_name type rs38l_fnam.

Hi Yogesh,
   Just to test ... can you place your code in a report and call the report with submit ... return in your module pool? For the data tables in the interface, you may export them and import them.. this will ensure that everything is good with your code and the place where you call the code from. I believe the issue is Module Pool rather than anything else. But that's just a doubt and we need to do this to confirm it.

I think the binary file conversion was not done properly( you haven't filled bin_pdfx, its the otf_data ). OR, Use CONVERT_OTF FM and pass format as PDF. Check this document for reference: Opening a Smartform in Web Dynpro ABAP

I have developed smart form -Customer quality Certificate,need to attach that smart form to output type LQCB
and generate that Smartform by standard tcode QC22. I have replaced Std scrtpt program with Smart form but till QC22 is calling old script only but I need smartform to be called
Can anybody tell me how to trigger Smart form from QC22/QC21

You will have to maintain the form detials in 2 places
1) In config Which i think you have maintained
SPRO>QM> Quality Certificates > Output Determination> Define Condition Types for Output Determination> Define Condition Types for Output Determination > LQCB > Processing routines > Print out > You can give the program and Form
2) In the certificate Recipient VV21 - select the customer and click on Communication button and maintain in Print setting , Smart form

Hi,
Go to the screen where the long text is placed, From menu bar go to the header you will get the Object details.
Use FM READ_TEXT by passing those object details you will get the text.

How to display smart form stored in SAP in Webdynpro java( TLINE table)

I have a requirement where I have to display the smart form from WD Java end.
The BAPI is producing output in TLINE(TDLINE(132),TDFORMAT(2)). I am trying to concat both(TDLINE+TDFORMAT) and put in the interactive form but I am not able to get the output from BAPI.
Is it because the TLINE format is not supported in the WD java. How can I solve the issue.
