Triggering email send via workflow when task created.

Hi all.
In my scenario I want to trigger e-mail send to a fixed address when task of certain type created in CRM Web UI. How can i configure such process?
Regards to all.

How can be same question posted again and again for sending mails again when a task is created or when a workitem is created....
Iam sure you would not have searched the forum itself you have enough blogs articles and threads which have extensively discussed about this topic... and again.......

    I don't know how rare this is.  I went a week or so without a problem, and now it's starting to recur.  Also, in some instances, an email will look unsent (remain in the outbox on the Treo), but it has been sent, and recipients are replying while I'm trying to figure out what is going on.  Further, it will send the same email over and over during this madness.
    This is a show stopper.  If there isn't a software fix soon, I may chuck this phone in the garbage.
    Post relates to: Treo 800w (Sprint)
    UPDATE:  The problem comes and goes.  The next day, no changes to the treo, everything workeds.  Now i'm suspecting the sprint server, and how it/the phone responds from failing to send while roaming.  I've since turned off roaming, and haven't had a problem for several days.

  • Notification via workflow when invoice but no receipt

    The I-procurement workflow needs to be configured so that an email notification is generated when an invoice is received for a PO but the goods have not been receipted. In this scenario, the Invoice automatically goes on hold.
    The email should go to the Buyer and the Requestor.
    Can someone advice me on the same.

  • Contact record not pupulated when Task created using Workflow.

    Hi All
    I am using workflow to create Tasks when new Serivce Records have been created. When the Service Record is created and the Contact field is linked to a Contact record, the Contact does not carry through to the Task record created by the workflow. I have noticed that when I add the Task manually to the SR that the Contact record does carry through so is there something I need to add to my workflow?

  • Email sending once a user is created?

    Hi Guys
    I have a requirement of sending emails to a user with his user name and password which we are generating with out his(the users) intervention.
    Please suggest you way to approach this requirement in OIM.
    IS the Add User task in Xellerate User under process definition in OIM Design Console responsible for creating a user in OIM.
    I wanted to send emails in two scenarios:
    1. When the user is created using create user page in OIM web console
    2. When the approver approves a self registration request and the user account in created in user table.
    pls Suggest a better approach to achieve this.

    I have a requirement that as soon as user accounts is created in Exchange (mail server) through OIM provisioning connector a welcome message sort of mail should go to user. For this i have placed the notification on completed status of "setting Exchange Related Properties" task. Now what happened that mail is going but may be as there is no network delay it got bounced in Admin (to address) account with error that user account is not existed. I felt that Exchange is taking some time for account creation due to which this mail is getting bounced first time because when i am trying to send mail to user again it is going in user inbox. So please tell me if anyone comes across this type of issue and if yes how did it resolve. I am thinking that in OIM is there any provision that i can add task in the process and put some time (30 secs will work for me) after that email will trigger.
    Am i clear enough? please let me know if you need more info.

  • Long URL in email send from workflow

    I have an email with a long URL text send from the workflow using Send Mail. The URL is getting split in 2 lines in the MS Outlook Email and so the purpose of including the link is not met.
    I tried and failed using the HTML method.
    Please respond if you have a clue on how to include the entire URL text as a hyperlink in the email.

    hm... well it <i>should</i> work though... However I do have another proposition:
    You can create an attachment of type .URL and as the content you set the http-URL (including http:// ). By a double click on this attachment, the registered standard browser should open with that link.
    This way it's not embedded within the email text, but at least there's something to click on.

    P.S.: Yes, the URL still get's split at 75 characters, but the whole URL should be used, (what's between the brackets < >) when opening the browser. Because <i>that's</i> the problem, which happends when not using the braces: The browser opens the link, using the available characters until the first line break instead of the whole thing.
    P.P.S.:
    There is <b>no known</b> way to avoid that line break at 75 chars, as this is part of the SMTP specification <a href="http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2821">RFC 2821</a>, which the R/3 SAP Connect is using. To be correct: There's no line break in your Outlook Mails as this is a feature of using actually two version of that mail: One with the simple text (which then includes line breaks according to the RFC), and one additional attached mime object with html or rtf content, which is displayed instead of that.
    SAP Connect doesn't provide that feature of mime-types.

    Okay Mac gurus, I need your help.
    Mac model: MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.8 13" Late 2011
    OS: Yosemite 10.10
    Current Situation:  In my mail app in my MAC, I am using two mailboxes (google & yahoo accounts). I can send and receive emails in the mail app just fine. If I send an email from the Mail app, the email is send and saved under the 'Sent' section of the mail app. However, when I open gmail or yahoomail in the web, this message does not get saved in 'Send' section and I can't seem to find it anywhere.
    I have checked the option to "Store send messages on the server" for both my mailboxes in the mail app. What am I doing wrong?

    Your settings are correct.
    In Mail click the boxes icon (most left icon in the menubar) if the mailboxes sidebar is not visible.
    Then scroll down and you will probably see a second gmail and/or yahoomail mailservername, click it to expand it and you will see a 'sent' and other boxes there, select the sent box, then in the Mail menu bar click the Mailboxes tab and select "use this mailbox as" and select "Sent Mailbox".
    then restart Mail and the sent mail will be transported to the sent mailbox above, this goes by syncing with the server, thus you need to have the internet connection, and for many mails it could be not immediate.
    This may happen again when you do a "clean install" of an OSX; In that case settings are not taken over from an earlier installation. If you upgrade over an existing installation these settings should come with you.

  • Email sending via Orange UK (N97 Mini)

    I have tried in vain to get Nokia's new e-mail messenger working, so I have reverted to using the older version that comes embedded in the firmware. The one that also handles text messages etc.
    I can receive e-mail but any mail I send doesn't arrive.
    Interestingly, everything was fine until I had my phone repaired and the repairer installed the new firmware. The firmware is Nokia firmware not Orange's version.
    I have used the same setting as I have used in the past, but these do not seem to work.
    Does anyone have the SMTP settings for Orange mobile e-mail? I have tried orange.net and .co.uk.
    The phone tells me that it's sending the mail, but it never gets through.
    This is really beginning to annoy me now as it was fine before the phone was repaired.
    Can anyone help?

    I did, but still no joy.
    I'm really annoyed that it was all working fine before the firmware update.
    The problem seems to be related to the fact that I use a domain name, and not my ntlworld.com email address.
    I will go back to nokia,com and try again just in case.

  • Creating automated email reminders to users every 2 weeks via Workflow 2010 Out of Box approach only

    I have been asked to automate the email reminders to users (every two weeks) from the SharePoint2010 solution.
    I am trying to achieve this via workflow ,but am unable to get the results.
    Req :
    Twice a month the users should get an automated email reminder for a specific task.
    1. On 14th (or last working day in mid month -1) of the month. ( a field "mid month end" captures the date as 15th of the month)
    2. On last working day - 1 of the month. ( a field "month end" captures the date as last day of the month)
    Please let me know how i can achieve this via Out of box functionality. I donot have exp with workflows so a detailed steps guidlines will be very helpfull.

    Although you can start a workflow and then pause it for a number of days, I'd feel uncomfortable with that. If the farm crashes, who guarantees that the paused workflows will pick up where they were left off?
    SharePoint does no offer to run a workflow on all items in a list/library -- which I feel is a big draw back. 
    The good news is that there is a free 3rd party tool that can run a workflow on all (or specific) items in a list or library.  It's called the
    HarePoint Workflow Scheduler and I love it.
    You can create a view that shows the items that you want to run the workflow on.
    Or, if you know how to write CAML, you can feed the CAML Query right into the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler task. 
    At my company we have several sites in production that use the HarePoint Workflow Scheduler with a view. 
    So, first, create a SharePoint Designer workflow and define it to run manually.
    Then use the HarePoint workflow scheduler to define a schedule.
    You can define a schedule for the HarePoint tool, like every day, month, week, etc., by just clicking a few boxes. 
    Since this functionality does not come out of the box with SharePoint 2010, this free tool is a real gem.

  • Is there a threshold when emailing a group via workflow?

    I created 2 groups in SharePoint 2010. One has approximately 20 users and the other has 1600 users. I created a workflow that uses Group 1 (20 users) in the BCC field to send an email to this group. It works fine. When I edit the workflow to send the email
    to the larger group (same permissions), it does not send the email. Is there a threshold for how many members it may email?

    There is no limit officially suggested by Microsoft on the number of Email recipients. (Check this)
    But, still if the recipients have not received the email. You may want to look for following,
    Whether none of the receipient received the mail or its just few of them.
    They may want to check the Junk folder :)
    There could be firewall issues(blocking the mails).
    It could be the mail server itself(unable to handle bulk email sending).

    I  understand that when a task expires ,the workflow doesn’t create the tasks for next approval .This is how serial tasks works .You
    need to complete the first task first before the next task is generated .So you can add actions by change the behavior of a single task .
    Open the workflow in SharePoint Designer .Click Approval(1) to modify the approval process .
    Choose ‘Change the behavior of a single task ’ on next page .Find the ‘When a task expires ’ section  .
    Add actions like ‘Rescind task’ (this action completes the task without an outcome) ,’Reassign Task’(reassign current task to another people ), ‘escalate task ’(escalate current task to manager)  .
    In this way ,the current task is whether completed or reassigned for completion ,then the next task will be created after current task is completed .

  • LMS3.2 Syslog reports very slow when send via email

    Hello,
    we have ~5000 devices in LMS3.2 and we have a problem with syslog reports.
    When I create a "severity level summary report" for 5000 devices for the last 24hours and select as run type "immediate" it needs ~2-3 minutes. That's ok.
    But when I create exactly the same report and select the run type "once" , it needs ~3 hours. ("Once" means that the report is send via email after it's finished).  It happens with report type "pdf" and "csv".
    What can be the problem ?  Or is it usual ???

    The scheduled reports can output a full list of messages where as the immediate reports output a limit of 10,000 records.  If you have a lot of syslog messages, it can take a considerable amount of additional time to generate a full report.
