Triggering plugin with change of Business Process stage

Hi All,
Can I trigger a plug-in when a business processes stage is changed.
My requirement is: I want a plug-in to fire when I click on Next Stage of business process. Is it possible. If so how?
Thanks in Advance.

Hi Rob,
Thanks for reply.
So, which way do you suggest in order to achieve "assign a 'Stage Category' to each stage within your business process flow".

  • How to hide business process stage on page load in crm 2013

Please tell me how to hide process stage on page load in crm 2013.
for example: Develop, Propose,Quotation... these are business process stages and I have a custom field named "type"
If type value =1 then hide Propose stage

    Hello,
That is not possible. What I would suggest is to create several processes for same entity and switch between them using plugin. Sample code for it -

  • How to Change the  business process

How Do I change the Business process which was created wrongly for different company code? When I try to change the company code it says that currency cannot be changed as data is already posted. Since the Analysis period  is from 01/01/2008 to 12/31/9999, I am not able to select the new analysis period.
The data posted is relatively small because it was just created 10days ago.
    Your help will be appreciated.

If only plan data entered, try to delete the planning data before delete the object and then re-create it again. Otherwise you may have to leave it as is and change the description for the usage by the different company code.

  • SAP T-Codes with Functiona Area, Business Process, Sub-Process wise details

    Hi Experts,
I am Involved in GRC AC5.3 implementation Project. In this we need to work on complete Role-Redesign Process, which involves building of New Roles as per their requirement (Transaction used in past one Year). We find 3500 T-Codes, which are used by the client from past one year. We need to segregate the All the T-Codes into Functiona Area, Business Process, Sub-Process wise.
*Is there any data source available on Complete information on SAP T-Codes with Functiona Area, Business Process, and Sub-Process wise details.
    Thank and Regards,
    Sathish...

    Hi Satish,
As per my knowledge, Since the role design is more specific to any client there is no standard classification.
However you can classify them taking leverage of sap provided rule set for RAR or Existing customized ruleset in your landscape, based on that you can start grouping the Tcodes  and start framing the roles.

  • Is it possible for the end user to make changes to business processes?

    Hi
I'm investigating Oracle's BPEL Processor Manager and BPM technologies for a large project we are going to do. The client wants to be able to change/create new business processes which would mean different web services being called in different orders after different amounts of time.
Is it possible to allow end users to change business processes in a SOA environment with a portal using Oracle's offerings. This would eliminate JDeveloper & the designer and the need for knowledge of the underlying architecture.
The only way around this would be getting users to edit the business rules but that would only work in a linear environment with lots of decisions won't it?
    Regards
    Sean

I will leave your real question to be answered by product folks.
BPEL does have capabilities that let you change how a given process will execute. For example, it's normal to have a process that will react differently depending on an incoming message (CancelMessage processes one way, SubscribeMessage does something else, ...). You can have the partnerlink that is invoked be selected based on a variable, a rule, a message element, a property in a property file or a preference set in the BPEL console. However, these all fail to answer your original question, because they require the original designer to code it all, not giving someone the capability to add a new WSDL on the fly with JDeveloper.
You can also overlay endpoints, like if the user is in California, send to the west-coast server instead of the east coast. There is (was?) a tutorial about overlaying WSDLs.

  • Any change in Business Process Flow for BPC 7.0 NW from BPC 5.1

    Dear all,
With the release of BPC 7.0 NW, i was wondering if there's any functional or technical differences in the Business Process Flow compared to BPC 5.1?
    Cheers

I second Sorin's observations and comments. There are several limitations in using STS workaround. It is true that STS will be available to use with NW BI. However in order to use that you will have to create a planning area in BPS. Even after doing that you will not have the security framework of BPC available to you in STS. All you can do is list out the steps in the process flow, may be link your planning workbboks and have email notifications sent out upon completion. the other option mentioned was that of SAP workflow. Since BPC7NW has NW platform, SAP workflow is available to you and you can link the BPC process chains to it if you so desire. But again, it won't have BPC security and it won't be even close to BPF in look and feel. The best option is to wait till BPF becomes available in future BPC NW version to use.

  • Business Process Stages ?

    Dear Friends,
I am very new to SAP HR, but I took crash course in Germany and am actively looking for jobs as a sap hr functional consultant and my core interest is PM/OM/Benefits.
Please can tell me more about business process? Why it is required? What does mean by business process? How long it takes time to prepared business process and how many team members will be involved in gathering requirement. How many stages in business process?
Details response will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Sameer.

    Hi Sameer
In a SAP HR project as BPX it would be very important to follow the steps of standard SAP ASAP methodology:
    1) Project preparation - (project scope and project planning)
    2) Business Blueprint - To be - functional business requirements analysis
    3) Application Blueprint - Technical requirements for developers - gap analysis
    4) Realization - Customizing and custom abap development
    5) Final preparation - Unit and user tests - transports and roll out in PRD
    Hope it helps

  • Easy Cost Planning: Calculation Row (Business Process) in Cost Model Derivation Rule

    Hi All,
    The Requirement:
Using the Cost Model I am able to do up to Sub-Total Value.  I tried with Calculation Row (Business Process) in the Cost Model Derivation Rule, but could not succeed.
I tried with Base Planning Object, but the formulas are different for other scenarios.  Which require 5 to 6 Base Planning Objects are required to be created to get the total amount for a single line item, in the construction project there will be more than 10,000 line items and it is very difficult to maintain the data and also it is time consuming.
Can you suggest me, how to map the requirement?
    Best Regards,
    K. Rajendra Prasad Rao

You need to check the following for the material cost to appear in network costing:
    1. Check whether costing variant is assigned to the network or not.
    2. Check whether costing relevancy indicator is checked in material component assigned to the network.
    3.  If costing variant exists, check the valuation variant and strategy sequence for material valuation.
    4. Go to the material master and see whether price is mentioned  or not.
I would suggest you to use Network costing, Also note network costing are recorded in Co version '0' so if you have maintained your ECP for '0' version, there is a chance of both the costing getting added up.

  • Business Process Deficiencies

Could any one explain me what are the deficiencies they found while implementing SAP- FI/CO? (Business process at a customer that could be not be implemented as-is in SAP and required a change in business process).
I could not think of many when I was asked in an interview. Any help would be appreciated so that I can keep those deficiencies in mind for the next time. Thank you.

    Hi
Your question pertains to the gap analisys.
This is the analisys on what are the difeerences between actual system and what the customer want to develop.
    refer to the below thread:
    GAP
You can quote example of some standard functionality which client has now and which SAP doesnot provide.
HOPE SOME ONE WILL ADD MORE.

  • ERP Business Process

    Hi,
As once an ERP( Oracle EBS, PS, Siebal etc) is deployed. After that the change managment take place, according to changes in business processes.
Now my Question is; after full deployment(say it take six months), then after how many period the business processes changes( like one month, two months six month etc..). Is it vary from Industry to Industry.
Are these changes are already depicted in ERP or the developer have to work on it (I'm sure developer have to work on it). If so, then isn't it destroy the basic structure of an ERP.
Kindly Participate in this discussion as I'm new to this area and I'm at student level. Looking comments from experts.

If so, then isn't it destroy the basic structure of an ERP.Depends on what changes you are going to implement. For seeded Oracle Forms/Reports/Tables ..etc the changes will take place by applying application patches (family packs), implementing a major update/upgrade, ..etc. For custom modules, it depends on the business requirements and needs, and developers will be involved in such changes. Customization should not destroy the basic structure of the ERP if you follow the standards.

  • Business blueprint stages

    hi friends
pls explain the business blue print stages and each stage senarious of business process stages.
    regards
    shiva

    Hi,
Brif view about blue print is as under:
In this phase you document and define the scope of your R/3 implementation and create the Business Blueprint. The Business Blueprint is a detailed documentation of your company's requirements in Winword format. Application consultants and the Business Process Teams achieve a common understanding of how the enterprise intends to run its business within the R/3 System, by carrying out requirements-gathering workshops.
During Phase 2, the project team completes R/3 Level 2 training; this is recommended as early as possible and before the workshops start.

The project team selects the processes that best fit your business from R/3's functional offering

  • Business Process Monitoring with SAPCCMSR Agents

    Hi
I have installed a SAPCCMSR Agent in a non-sap system to monitor log files.
This is the configuration about a particularly log file:
    LOGFILE_TEMPLATE
    DIRECTORY="E:\LOG"
    FILENAME="senddata*.txt"
    PATTERN_0="error"
    VALUE_0=RED
    MONITOR_NEWEST_FILES=1
In this folder every day, log are created (with name senddata-DD-MM-YYYY) and I would like to monitor only the last log produced to search for error.
When the agent run, it creates a monitor in rz20 with the name of the current log(for example senddata-08-09-2014).
Tomorrow when a new log will created, the monitor will change its name (for example in senddata-09-09-2014).
I also want use business process monitoring to create a monitor and assign the mte in rz20.
When I choose from a list which monitor assign, it give me the name of the ccms monitor that have the name valid for today(senddata-08-09-2014).
The problem is that tomorrow this MTE will change its name and will invalidate my monitor in bpm.
I tried to insert manually the value in bpm monitor like ...../senddata*/.... to see if dinamically, it will acquire the monitor with the name in rz20.
    But this doesn't work.
Anyone have an idea on how monitor this?
Thanks very much & Best regards
    Marco

    Hi Mark,
When the agent run, it creates a monitor in rz20 with the name of the current log(for example senddata-08-09-2014).
"senddata-08-09-2014 " - Is this the name of your log file created on OS level everyday ?
If yes, then why not after every log switch after end of day, a file with name sendata replaces its old content with the contents of current logs ?
This "replacing" is scheduled to run every 5 mins from OS level(cron script) and it picks the name of the file using current date method ?
In this was you will have your monitor with same name.

  • Business Process Modeling and Organizational Change Management

Many Change Management interventions are based on the business understanding the TO BE processes, how the process will change end-to-end, including not only the processes within SAP but also how they will interface with the entire application landscape. I’d like to hear experiences and best practices. Who, how and when should those business process models be completed? What would be the role of Change Management in this piece?

    Hi Claudia
Very interesting question!. This is the most challenging task an org unit is facing today. Before implementation you must be able to foresee what impact a new end to end business process would have on the present organizational set up. To visualize you need to have people who has knowledge in their respective business. It is no easy task. That is why you need to break & analyse each process in minute detail and compare “to be process” with the present process. To have an effective process in place you have to examine who is the Business process owner, if the owner does not follow or comply with the new process what is the risk involved, & what makes it mandatory that the process owner follows it and so is all down the line managers. What I mean to say is that by analyzing each and every new process you should be able to derive some KPI from this. This is how control can be built. This is all simple management technique but I have seen many new processes in ERP failing or not being used because of lack of Management control. I have answered who & how part. Now coming back to when part. The change management initiative has to start long before the actual ERP implementation. One has to prepare the organisation for taking a massive leap from a mere paper based organisation to accepting a system that can touch almost any business application. An organisation which has not prepared itself to accept the changes and hurriedly implements a system for the sake of project completion can see that the benefits projected in the business case may never be realized.
