Trio/Triple billings in SAP.

Hi Billing guruu2019s:
I work in SAP FI/CO space and Iu2019ve worked on dual billing scenario, but any one familiar with trio/triple billing scenario? Is it even possible in SAP?
In my mind dual billing means:
Inventory lies in a plant attached to company code 1
Customer is created in Company code 2, sales order is created to pick inventory from company code 1. Customer billing in CC2, by using I/C billing (EDI process) weu2019ll record Interco COGS and Intercompany receivable/Payable accordingly.
Now Iu2019m investigating adding one more company code (CC3) to this process.
Thanks
Raghu

Hi Raghu,
Perhaps you could describe the proposed 3-company process?  What role does the third company play?
Thanks,
Dave

    Hi Nico:
Thanks for your response, any pointers to which type of customization? Is there any specific user exit/BADI etc that might help on this?

  • How SAP identifies which billings make an Invoice list?

    Hi,
Can anyone help me find out how SAP identifies which billings make an invoice list?
Grouping 2 or more billings will generate an invoice list. Where can I find these relation in SAP?
I have an invoice list and i want to know which billigs are related to this invoice list.
    Thank you all.

    Hi Giovana,
A billing document is relevant for an invoice list when:
the relevant billing type has an invoice list type (in standard LR or LG) assigned in customizing (transaction VOFA), and
the relevant payer has an invoice list calendar (KNVV-PERRL) assigned in the customer master data (transaction XD03, Sales Area Data / Billing Documents tab).
As a consequence the fields Invoice List Date (VBRK-FKDAT_RL) and Invoice List Type (VBRK-FKART_RL) are filled, so that the invoice list status (VBUK-RELIK) can be set.
These fields can not be changed online, as they are only processed during document creation.
VBUK-RELIK = A means that no invoice list has been created for the invoice yet.
    Best regards,
    Csaba

    Hi,
    Check with this note,
    Note 791574 -
    Also
Secure Storage for Application Specific Data
Applications or application components, deployed on the J2EE Engine, can save sensitive data
in encrypted form in a secure storage area in the J2EE Engineu2019s configuration database. The
data saved in this area is encrypted using a secret key that is created explicitly for the application
or service. The J2EE Engine uses the triple DES algorithm to perform the encryption.
You can use two approaches for storing and maintaining the encrypted data for the individual
    applications or application components:
    u2022 Centralized storage
With centralized storage, applications or application components use the Secure Storage
service on the J2EE Engine to encrypt and decrypt the data. This data is also stored in the
corresponding secure storage context on the J2EE Engine. You can control the
parameters of this secure storage area from the properties of the Configuration Manager.
    For more information
    u2022 Decentralized storage
With decentralized storage, the applications and application component maintain their own
storage area for the encrypted data. They only uses the Secure Storage service on the
J2EE Engine to retrieve the key, which is necessary to encrypt and decrypt the data.

  • Identifying Changed Dates on Documents in SAP B1

Greetingsu2026I have an unusual request that is somewhat long, very serious, and hope folks can help.
A headquarters customer believes a subsidiary company has u2018made upu2019 dates on invoices for previous billings.  They describe the date changes as u2018radicalu2019 but I have not personally seen these invoices as of yet and am waiting a FAX.  They requested I go into SAP B1 to see if someone has fabricated or made up or changed invoice dates and who it was.  They have some specific large-dollar invoices identified to research.  The person under suspect (who is no longer there) was considered an expert in SAP B1, so maybe she knew all of the different ways to change dates around.  Being an expert means also she might have used some unusual ways to change dates to the ones she wanted.
Here are some of my ideas to discover this situation, but I hope someone can suggest even more steps because I would like to know every way that this situation can be discovered.
    1. Open the AR Invoices and use Data > Change Log and concentrate on dates.
    2. Run some SQL to validate document dates and system dates.  SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.DocDate, T0.CreateDate, T0.TaxDate, T0.UpdateDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE (T0.DocDate does not equal T0.CreateDate OR T0.TaxDate does not equal T0.CreateDate).  The results would show invoices that maybe had their dates changed.
3.Run a Document Journal in the Financial Module.  Finance > Financial Reports > Accounting > Document Journal with the u2018Expanded Selectionu2019 of AR Invoices and a date range covering the invoices in question.  Then see if the Transaction Numbers are out of sequence.
    4. Run a Transaction Journal Report Financials > Financial Reports > Accounting > Transaction Journal Report with AR Invoices.  Compare this report to Document Journal.
    5. Run the Utilities functions of Utilities > Check Document Numbering to see if there any anomalies there in the document numbers.
    6. Run the Administration > System Initialization > Document Numbering function to see if a special series has been set up.
    7. Check out the AR Invoice numbering order by running another simple SQL covering a range of the invoices in question. SELECT T0.DocNum, T0.TaxDate, T0.CreateDate, T0.UpdateDate FROM OINV T0 WHERE T0.DocNum > 1583 AND T0.DocNum < 3251 ORDER BY T0.CreateDate.  Then see if the AR Invoice Numbering Sequence is not consistent.
    8. Check out those documents that are connected to each suspect AR Invoice and their associated dates by using the Target and Base Document icons.  For example, if a Deliver Document has dates of January 2007 but the AR Invoice date is September 2006, then someone has played around with dates on at least one of the documents.
    9. Get copies of the complete company database before the alleged changes were made and a company database as of today and compare the two contents.  Only good if the backups are maintained for a long time.
Here come the questions on the ways I BELIEVE dates can be changed but not sure how to find and need to work on them:
QUESTION 1 u2013 If a person DTWs invoices up into SAP B1, how can I tell that DTW was used to change the dates, the date of the DTW run, and the dates that were changed?
QUESTION 2 u2013 If a person uses SQL to update dates on SAP B1, how can I find out that SQL has been used, the date of the SQL run, and the dates that were changed?
QUESTION 3 u2013 If a person goes out and changes the workstation and/or server Date and Timestamp Properties, how can I find that they did that and the date changes?  You can do this on your PC by just changing the month, date, and year in Microsoftu2019s Date and Timestamp Properties.
QUESTION 4 u2013 I know SAP has a policy that no SQL can be used to update databases and/or tables and have been told some customers lost support because they did this.  What does SAP do to discover this in their lab?
QUESTION 5 u2013 Are there any notes in the portals to help me find changed dates?
QUESTION 6 u2013 Are there any logs SAP B1 produces that can help identify such changes and how do I find and use them?
QUESTION 7 (and this is big) u2013 Are the other ways dates can be changed on AR Invoices and how would I uncover the way it was done and the needed information of Original Date and Changed Date?
Many, many thanks for any help provided since this is a serious situation.  If you can make any suggestions it would be greatly appreciatedu2026

Edited by: Zal Parchem on Mar 13, 2009 7:31 AM

    Hi Zal
If this person was an "Expert" on SAP Business One then the only way they would have changed dates would probably be directly in SQL itself. The best way to determine this would be to hope that they slipped up somewhere and forgot to change a particular date in let's say one specific table.
For invoices, start with the post date, doc date & create date. Then check each of these to the OJDT/JDT1 tables for any discrepancies. Next check the ADOC/ADO1 table for multiple instances on the invoice. If only 1 instance then check the create date, time & user as well as the aforementioned dates between OINV/INV1 & ADOC/ADO1. If multiple instances, check the dates from 1 instance to the next (This will indicate dates being changed in the system).
Next check the same dates against OINM table. If any of the dates do not tally then the SQL was changed directly.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.
    Kind regards
    Peter Juby

  • Very High messages not forwarded to SAP out of the Business Hours

    Dear Gurus,
I work for a SAP partner and we have the Solution Manager 7.0 + EHP1, SP stack 24, running under a Windows Server Machine with MS Sqlserver Data Base and we're facing the following problem:
In between the business hours we are able to forward messages to SAP manually, however, after the business hours, messages set as 'very high' priority aren't being forwarded automatically to SAP.
We have already triple checked the configs listed on the SAP Notes 1084744, as well ran the Z-Report included in the note 1225682, however no success at all.
Would you kindly please shed a light on this matter?
    Thank you in advance.
    Everton.

    Hello Everton,
If you are a var Customer using the transaction type ZLFN and action profile ZSLFN0001_ADVANCED, the action profile should be AI_SDK_STANDARD.
I don't now if that is the case.
If your issue persists, please trigger a message in SV-SMG-SUP.
    Best regards,
    Guilherme

  • C# retrieve report from SAP Crystal Server

I have installed SAP Crystal Server on a Windows 2012 Server machine. The installation looks fine. I can run the Central Management Console and everything appears to be up and running.
I have a Windows application running on my local machine and all I want to do is run a report.
    myRCDoc = new ReportClientDocument();
    myRCDoc.ReportAppServer = _server;
    object path = reportName;
    myRCDoc.Open(ref path, 0);
    I get the following error:
An unhandled exception of type 'System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException' occurred in Billings.exe
Additional information: Failed to connect to server "ENTBSQ01".
How do I make the server reachable from my windows code?

    Thanks Dell!
I'm currently not logging into the CMS.
I'm not clear when you ask "working with reports from CRS"?
The *.rpt files are indeed stored on the server.  My windows app simply calls ReportClientDocument.Open to get the report.  I'm assuming that means I am indeed working with reports from CRS.
I'll try to logging in part first and then move to checking the SDK.
    Thanks again!
    -Terry

Dear all, I would greatly appreciate any help in regards to obtaining "better reporting"
I am running a ZSD_ATS report which shows me every item, the historical sales consolidated per year and reported for the past three years, as well as current in-house qty.
I am now looking for a report which will allow me to have the same information however also include current open vendor purchase orders, current client open orders and even vendor information
Does anyone know if this is a report that SAP offers (or something similar)?

  • Report to analyze customer billings at G/L account level

We need a report to analyze customer billings (generated in FI-A/R, not SD) at G/L account level.  There are couples of transactions/reports like S_ALR_87012171 that shown customer sales volumes but the figures include taxes.  We need it without taxes.  Are there any reports available in SAP to facilitate G/L level analysis for customer billings?
S_ALR_87012171 u2013 G/L account is not one of the available characteristics in form 0SAPFD10-03.  Is it possible to add G/L account to the structure to make it an available characteristic?

    Dear,
Use FBL3N, take customer reconciliation account GL and execute it in FBL3N. It will show you all billing done to customers to date alongwith their invoice and billing document number.

  • Condition types doubling/tripling/...when sales documents created with reference to other documents

    Hi,
When I create a sales order with reference to a Quote, the pricing condition types are duplicating. Same is happening when subsequent documents like Billing, credit memo request and credit memo are created. Particularly, the condition types  are doubled/tripled/.... in the subsequent documents. Because of this, pricing net value is calculated wrong. For example, freight charges getting added twice. I searched the forum and found similar issue was discussed at Condition types - Doubling UP  raised by forum member Sridhar Vijjhalwar, however there is no solution added in it.
Has any other member came across this issue and resolved?
I have checked the access sequence and exclusive indicators are checked. Copy controls are also checked, looked good and I tested by adding copying type D/G. Checked OSS note also and found one OSS note 1459807 - Invoice has missing/incorrect conditions when created from a sales order.
but it is not solving the problem either. Issue also elevated to SAP for their investigation. Our system is SAP ECC 6.0 - EHP6.
    Quote Pricing:
    Sales order Pricing:
I appreciate any pointers to resolve the issue.
    Regards,

what was the scenario, and how did you replicate?
It is a configuration for a new project (France country), however we found that the same issue popping up for existing business processes also. As for replicating, we just tried the same procedures, the issue is found in subsequent documents.
If you have observed one notable thing is - all the condition types which duplicated were Z Conditions, and the standard conditions were never duplicated at least in my case.
In our case even standard condition types like MWST, SKTO, GRWR, VPRS also shows duplicating.
if you can throw about the business process?
As you have mentioned order created with reference to quote was only the straight forward scenario?
I tested other scenario also, like creating a sales order, then delivery and then billing. In this case in billing document, the condition types are duplicating. If I create a credit memo request against the billing document, then it further duplicating.
I am not sure what is causing this. I initially thought it may be copy control settings pertaining to the new project, however other business documents also has the same issue. Other business are using different document types.
    Thanks for your follow-up.

  • Sap sd faq's

    send fa's in sd module

    Hello Srikanth,
<b>The following are few important FAQ's that i came across -</b>
<b>In R/3 you can represent a company's structure by defining and assigning corporate structure elements. What is the purpose of doing that?</b>
Enterprise organization diagram. Chart showing the organizational structure of an enterprise, its organization units and how they are related. A combined structure can be created from the point of view of accounting, MM, SD. This structure forms a framework in which all business transactions can be processed.
<b>Which three organizational elements make up a sales area and briefly explain their function?</b>
Sales organization: An organizational unit that sells and distributes products, negotiates terms of sale, and is responsible for these transactions.
Distribution channel: Channel through which salable materials or services reach customers. Typical distribution channels include wholesale, retail and direct sales. You can assign a distribution channel to one or more sales organizations.
Division: Product groups can be defined for a wide-ranging spectrum of products. For every division you can make customer-specific agreements on, for example, partial deliveries, pricing and terms of payment. Within a division you can carry out statistical analyses or set up separate marketing.
<b>Name the three internal organizational elements within a sales organization and briefly explain their function.</b>
Sales Office. Geographical aspects of the organization in business development and sales are defined using the term sales office. A sales office can be considered as a subsidiary.
Sales offices are assigned to sales areas. If you enter a sales order for a sales office within a certain sales area, the sales office must be assigned to that area.
Sales Group. The staff of a sales office may be subdivided into sales groups. For example, sales groups can be defined for individual divisions.
Salespersons. Individual personnel master records are used to manage data about salespersons. You can assign a sales person to a sales group in the personnel master record.
<b>What does the term "business area" refer to and how can it be used?</b>
Business Area. The system posts costs and revenue according to the business area. The business area can be equivalent to the:
    - sales area (if the accounts are to be posted according to sales)
    - plant/division (if the accounts are to be posted according to products)
The business area is defined in Customizing for Sales.
o Business area. A unit in an enterprise, grouping product and market combinations as homogeneously as possible for the purpose of developing unified business policy.
o Financial Accounting (FI). A business area is an organizational unit within financial accounting which represents a separate area of operations or responsibilities within an organization. Financial accounting transactions can be allocated to a specific business area.
<b>Briefly explain the relationship between sales organizations and company codes.</b>
    Many to One.
<b>What is the central organizational element in purchasing?</b>
    Purchasing Organization.
<b>Explain the relationship between sales organizations and plants.</b> Many to Many.
<b>Explain the relationship between sales organizations, plants and company codes.</b>
    Many to Many to One.
Can one business area be assigned to several company codes? Which (sub) module of SAP could make business areas obsolete?
    Yes in CO .
What is a credit control area? What relationship exists between credit control areas and company codes?
Credit control area. Organizational unit in an organization that specifies and checks credit limits for customers. A credit control area can include one or more company codes. It is not possible to assign a company code to more than one credit control areas.
Which organizational element is central in shipping? Give a definition of it.
Shipping Point: Organizational unit at a fixed location that carries out shipping activities. A shipping point could, for example, be a company's mail department or a plant's rail depot. Each delivery is processed by only one shipping point.
Give a definition of plant (in SAP).
Organizational unit within Logistics, serving to subdivide an enterprise according to production, procurement, maintenance, and materials planning aspects.
A plant is a place where either materials are produced or goods and services provided.
    Classification: Business object
Structure: A plant can assume a variety of roles:
As a maintenance plant, it includes the maintenance objects that are spatially located within this plant. The maintenance tasks that are to be performed are specified within a maintenance planning plant.
As a retail or wholesale site, it makes merchandise available for distribution and sale.
As a rule, the plant is the organizational unit for material valuation.
The preferred shipping point for a plant is defined as the default shipping point, which depends on the shipping condition and the loading condition.
For the placement of materials in storage (stock put-away), a storage location is assigned to a plant. The storage location depends on the storage condition and the stock placement situation.
The business area that is responsible for a valuation area is determined as a function of the division. As a rule, a valuation area corresponds to a plant.
Can you assign two different sales organization to the same company code?
    Yes.
To what do you assign distribution channels and divisions?
    Sales Organizations.
What are the highest organizational units in SD, MM.PP,FI,CO?
    SD: Sales Organizations.
    M: Plant
    PP: Plant
    FI: Company Code
    CO: Controlling Area
Can you further subdivide a plant? If yes into what?
A plant can be subdivided into storage locations, allowing stocks of materials to be broken down according to predefined criteria (e.g., location and materials planning aspects).
A plant can be subdivided into locations and operational areas. Subdivision into locations takes geographical criteria into account, whereas subdivision into operational areas reflects responsibilities for production.
Can a sales organization sell from a plant belonging to a different company code?
    Yes.
How many shipping points can you assign to a plant?
    Many.
How many shipping points can you assign to a sales organization?
    None.
If you have a warehouse management system active, to what would you assign the warehouse number?
    Plant & Storage Location.
    <b>Rebate Agreement</b>
    1.  Which agreement type I should consider, is this custmer rebate(0003), material rebate(0002) or Rebate on the basis of sales volume(0005), because here client is not offering rebate on Sales volume in rupees or dollar. He is only concerned with totat sales in kiloleter(Quantity). As per rebate agreement concern rebate is offered in percentage. Please guide me for  my scenario.
If your distributors are fewer (far less than 900 materials) then you should go for only customer rebate.
    2. Guide me for conditions types and scale basis for maintaining condition records.
When creating customer rebates (T:VB01) select customer rebate, there you will see a header tab: Conditions , click it add how many customers you want. For each customer you can create scale based conditions (under the heading tab :Scales).
    3. Is it necesary to maintain condition record for every material and every customer defining the scale? Because in this scennario client is going for incentives scheme for each material and each customer (distrbutor).
No need to create condition record for every material if you create customer rebate.
    <b>Customer Master</b>
How to create the customer master?
The following are the T-codes for central creation of customer master.
            XD01    Create Customer (Centrally)
            XD02    Change Customer (Centrally)
            XD03    Display Customer (Centrally)
            XD04    Customer Changes (Centrally)
            XD05    Block customer (centrally)
XD06    Mark customer for deletion (centr.)
            XD07    Change Customer Account Group
            XD99    Customer master mass maintenance
            XDN1    Maintain Number Ranges (Customer)
You need to identify various parameters within each Account group based on which the reco account is identified within the customer master.
Customer master is basically divided into 3 tabs.
    - General - General master details, Juristiction codes, Region, Transportation zone, export data,  etc.
    - Company data - payment terms, account management, reco account, insurance etc.
    - Sales data -  Sales product attributes, sales office, sales group, customer pricing procedure, Cust. Statistical grp,
       - Shipping data
       - Billing data
       - Partner functions.
You can create a customer based on 3 views:
    1. For Account purpose
    FD01/FD02/FD03 etc
    2. Sales purpose
    XD01/XD02/XD03 etc.
    3. Centrally
    VD01/VD02/VD03 etc.
What is the Function of item category and item category group?
Item Category determines the processing of any Item/material that we enter in a sales order and in this way it also effects the procesing of any sales doc in which it is used.
Item Category Group is one of the component which along with the Sales Doc Type, The Item Usage and Higher Level Item Category decide about the Item Category in a sales doc.
    1.  How can we know whether the customer is one-time or regular?
One can maintain Account Group for One-time customers. By which we can identify one-time customers.
    2. What happens when you do not enter a value for a manual and mandatory condition type?
The pricing procedure will reject the conditions in the sales order
    3. Do header condition type have an access sequence?
    No
    4. Org structure:
Relation between Company - Sales org
        One-to-Many
Sales Org - Plants & company vs. Plants
Company - sales org - credit control area
What are sales area and its components?
Sales area consists of Sales Organisation, Distribution Channel and Division.
    5.  What are legacy systems?
The Existing system on which current system is working, from which the current system will be migrated to SAP system
    6. What is cut over strategy?
Cutover strategy depends upon how the organizations design their data load strategies. Normally, you decide the sequence of Data loads for Configuration  settings, Master data, Transaction data which follows whom and then you make a copy of the system as a  Production system a day before and after checking the successful data loads, you go-live 100% or partial again  depending upon organizational setup and policies.
Cutover planning is highly site specific. There's no thumb rule. The stock data as on the date of going live should be correctly entered. But stock being a highly dynamic quantity, the strategy for loading should be crystal clear. Then you have to load all the back dated transaction on the stock. Some stock comes into your plant/storage location as return and some stock is actually delivered to your customer through sales orders of various kinds.
    7.  What are Cumulative Condition Records?
There is a field:- "condition update" during configuration for a condition type (at v/06)... has it anything to do with cumulative condn. Records?
    8.  IF you have 3 different access sequences for one condition record then in a pricing procedure in what hierarchy will you maintain the three accesses?
In Condition Records (T Code VK11), you would be putting values to corresponding Condition Types. Now one Condition Type can be assigned to one access sequence. In Access Sequence, you can assign whichever tables and fields are required.
So in my opinion, you cannot have one condition record for 3 access sequences.
    9. What happens in the access sequence when you put all the ticks in the exclusive field?
When you put tick in exclusive field of all access sequences, in my opinion, it will try to get available data from the first. Only in case, data is not available, will it move on to the next one.
    10. What is meant by delivery group?
Delivery Group is basically grouping all individual deliveries for Billing. It should have the same Ship to Party, Shipping Point, etc.
SAP SD Tips by : Moyin
    11. What triggers the automatic creation of PR or PO in case of third party sales?
In item category we can set "automatic PO" so that PO and PR will automatically generate after saving the order.
You never change the item category configuration to "automatic PO".  It is the schedule line category type which triggers the automatic PR creation. - Evilboy
    12. What are the steps that are required to include sales person as a partner function in the partner determination?
Partner function sales represenative or person responsible these two we can add through partner funtion in partner procedure.
    13. What is z transaction?
We copied standard TC or object  and rename it by Z its basically stnd name which will start from Z (User defined)
    14. Can you create sales order for 40 items if the quotation is sent for 30 items?
    Yes.
    15. What is the importance of requirment field in access sequence?
System will not go to asscess condition type system will reply through formula.
    16. What makes the immediate delivery in cash sales?
Order type immediate delivery switch on.
What exactly is automatic posting can you explain?
Automatic posting could be, posting of accounting documents to FICO once invoice is created which can also be controlled manually. Automatiaclly detremine the freight while pricing in ship doc. and post to the relevant account to fico. usually automatic posting is posting of documents to FICO based on variuos account keys and account groups.
    2. How many clients we will create in land scape (like in  development server, quality server, production server )
if we are creating more than one in each server what is exact use of that client.
    2. Client landscape : Basic layout : dev -testing- production also
    - Sandbox env. for trial and error
    - Development env. for actaully creating transports(CTS)
    - Global env.  If you have global implementations at different client locations (eg; canada, US, UK) (for testing purposes with actual master dataas well)
    - Testing env.(for regression testing purposes before moving to prodcution, integration etc..)
    - Prod. env. the actual production system
The clients could be variable and could be created to a specific env. usually a dev. where abap, functional would mess around. say :
        client 100-functinal consultants
        client 300- abapers
client 400- other users(like super etc)
    3. How we will configure export sales in sd (respect to plants assign  and sales process)?
    4. How we can do invoice split depending on item category in which scenario we will use?
You first need to go for copying controls either from sales to billing (invoice) or delivery to billing or billing to billing
use transactions (vtaa, vtaf, vtla, vtfa, vtfl, vtff) all possibilities for copy controls. this basicly is flow of doc to doc. (may it be sales to billing, del to bil, or bil to bil etc..)
-> this is where you see the Item category and you control whether split is possible or not with the indicator"B". eg:  representing split in invoice based on item category.  The field here "data VBRK/VBRP" (headre/item)whcih actually is used for splits or combining different deliveries. create a splitting rule using VOFM (you need access key to get here).  Here you define comparisions for the fields at header table and item tables and the comparision fields say  SPART"division". "purchase order "BSTKD Instance: 5 sales orders combined into 2 deliveries and the split at the invoice would be 5 individual billing with respect to fields PO and DIv. of each sales order would let you create 5 billings. You need to define the exact "field" in the comparisions both at header and item level that could lead to invoice split. the key here is the field that is different
from header to item will cause split at the item level.
    5. Can any one explain how we will configure milestone billing , periodic billing and which scenario we will use?
    Menu path:
    IMG->sales &distr->Billing->billing plans->define billing plan types.
You set the start date and end dates if applicable to the type of billing you are using. What time to be billed (end of month, start of month etc..)
Milestone is a billing plan type where a customer is billed for the amount distributed between the dates until total value is reached eg: if the total billing amountis 1000 USD for a year.  You will bill the customer in different amounts say 200, 500, 300 at different intervals as per customer agreement.
On the other hand Periodic billling is billing the customer for the total amount(here 1000 USD) at regular intervals peridically until the customer agreement is reached. eg: 1000/12 for a 1 year agreement and say billed at the 1st day of every month.
    6. What are some pricing routines and sd functional specs?
Form routines for prcing and variuos other functions can be maintained form routines are something todo with ABAP code.
Go to (VOFM) where all requrements whcih are represented by form routines can be maintained.  Requrements are available to be assigned where access sequenses are used (for determination procedures, here pricing).
Once the tcode VOFM is accessed you will see requrements and go select "pricing" again you need access key to create your own or copy a routine.
Say you want header price not to have effect the item pricing, you need to go to the program to change abap code to meet the requirement. this specific requirement you created will be assigned in the pricing proc. determination "requirements field"
usaully with a number beyond 600.   Note: make sure you activate your routine for its effect to take place.
What is the movement type you used in consignment process?
    632, 633, 634, 631
Can team size be 40 in a project? Is there any generalized team size no. for any project? If we tell my team size is 40 in that what no. we can say sd people are?
Team size cant be forty, Theres no genralized size of team. Never
40 sd consultants work together on same project.
    What is ALE?
Application Linking and Enabling - Generally ABAPers work on it.
What is meant by condition technique: can we say it is the combination of condition types, access sequence and condition tables?
    yes
Where do we can find pricing procedure indicator in sd ?
Pricing procedure is where we maintain all Conditions (like PR00, K004, mwst, kp00, etc)
Where do we assign calender in the master records?
    In IMG screen Global Settings.
What is the importance of customer account groups?
We maintain the customer account to maintain payment terms and incoterms. Lets say, if SP is only booking order but the goods should deliver in foreign country and for which SP is not going to bare the excise and other taxes then the SH party or payer will tke teh responsibity then the tax is calculated based on account groups.
What are incoterms? Where do we fix them? Where do you find in regular process?
Incoterms or international comm. terms and u find in CMR - Sales area Data - billing Tab.
How can you make some of the fields as key field in generic tables?
Some fields in all tables have a indicator on it.To see, then go to SE11, display VBAK, u will find MANDT on top, if you see after description 2 tick marks, those are key fields.  Gernerally, these key fields are used in writing any Program or Interface. The key fields will extract data of non key fields .
What is the standard group condition routine in condition type, what is its importance?
Its better u read Group Conditions in PR00.
How do you control entry possibility of condition values at order through condition type settings?
You can maintain the maximum and minimum value for all conditions.
What are the customizing settings in pricing procedure for tax condition type?
Check out the standard pricing procedure RVAA01 - MWST.
A bunch of data need to be imported. A huge no.of creations are required, how it is possible in SAP?
    thru LSMW, BAPI.
What is the difference between PGI cancellation and returns order?
PGI cancellation is done before the transportation of goods. But return order means its already transported reached customer during transit if materil is spoiled or broke or the goods r not delivered as per customer requested date.then customer send the goods baack to company.
What is the integrated areas in SD AND FI, SD AND MM, SD AND PP in both implementation and support projects?
SD & FI - Possible in Account Determination, for posting the conditions to revelant G/l account like all prices goes to one particular g/l account. Also in Credit Management, Taxes.
SD & MM - Possible in Batches, Material Requirement Planning.
SD & PP - Possible in Material Requirement planning.

  • Multiple Billings for Single Project

    Hi Gurus,
Is there any possibility to do multiple billings for one contract / one project from Project Level.
How can we perform for Milestone / RRB?  I appreciate with possible steps / process.
    Regards
    Naveen

    Hi Naveen,
If i understood your query correctly, yes it is possible to do multiple billings for a single project, rather a single sales order.
As far as Milestone/RRB process is concerned, i would suggest you to go through SAP Help or search the forum. The query is very basic in nature and i am sure you will find the required answers in SAP Help.
You can revert with more specific queries once you are done with SAP Help.

  • SAP HANA One and Predictive Analysis Desktop - Time Series Algorithms

I have been working on a Proof-of-Concept project linking the SAP Predictive Analysis Desktop application to the SAP HANA One environment.
I have modeled that data using SAP HANA Studio -- created Analytic views, Hierarchies, etc. -- following the HANA Academy videos.  This has worked very well in order to perform the historical analysis and reporting through the Desktop Application.
However, I cannot get the Predictive Analysis algorithms -- specifically the Time Series algorithms -- to work appropriately using the Desktop tool. It always errors out and points to the IndexTrace for more information, but it is difficult to pinpoint the exact cause of the issue.  The HANA Academy only has videos on Time Series Algorithms using SQL statements which will not work for my user community since they will have to constantly tweak the data and algorithm configuration.
In my experience so far with Predictive Analysis desktop and the Predictive Algorithms, there is a drastic difference between working with Local .CSV / Excel files and connecting to a HANA instance.  The configuration options for using the Time Series Algorithms are different depending upon the data source, which seems to be causing the issue.  For instance, when working with a local file, the Triple Exponential Smoothing configuration allows for the specification of which Date field to use for the calculation.  Once the data source is switched to HANA, it no longer allows for the Date field to be specified.  Using the exact same data set, the Algorithm using the local file works but the HANA one fails.
From my research thus far, everyone seems to be using PA for local files or running the Predictive Algorithms directly in HANA using SQL.  I can not find much of anything useful related to combing PA Desktop to HANA.
Does anyone have any experience utilizing the Time Series Algorithms in PA Desktop with a HANA instance?   Is there any documentation of how to structure the data in HANA so that it can be properly utilized in PA desktop?
    HANA Info:
    HANA One Version: Rev 52.1
    HANA Version: 1.00.66.382664
    Predictive Analysis Desktop Info:
    Version: 1.0.11
    Build: 708
    Thanks in advance --

    Hi,
If you use CSV or XLS data source you will be using Native Algorithm or R
    Algorithm in SAP Predictive Analysis.
When you connect HANA, SAP Predictive Analysis uses PAL Algorithm which runs
    on HANA server.
Coming to your question regarding difference,
In SAP PA Native Algorithm, we could provide the Data variable, Algorithm
picks the seasonal information from the Data column. Both R and SAP HANA PAL
does not support Date Column. We need configure seasonal information in
    Algorithm properties.
    R Properties
    1) Period : you need to mention the periodicity of the Data
    Monthly : (12)
    Quarter : (4)
Custom : you can use it for week or Daily or hourly.
    2) Start Year: need to mention Start year.
Start year is not used by algorithm for calculating Time series, but it helps
PA to generate Visualization ( Time series chart) by simulating year and
    periodicity information.
    3) Starting Period:
if your data is Quarterly and you have data recordings from Q2, mention 2 in
    start period.
    Example.
If the data periodicity is Monthy and my data starts from Feb 1979, we need to provide following information,
    Period: 12
    Start year: 1979
    start Period: 2
PAL Properties. : Same as properties defined in R.
    Thanks

  • Performance outlook - triple document storage

Have both Solaris and Windows NT with Oracle 8.1.6, both multi-
processor. Storage of documents is about to triple. Want to
get the documents into Oracle, and not just have pointers with
Cold Fusion verity. Have done limited testing with small amount
of documents in Blobs. Performance was reasonable with text
    searches.
How well are searches going to perform within record with Blob
(PDF, etc.) with 100G + of documents, ie comparable to CF
verity? Am wondering if anyone is at this size or greater and
    not using BFILE?

  • Can i use SAP Predictive Analysis for this scenario?

Hi guys. I'm new in this subject so I'm a little bit confused about in which cases SAP Predictive Analysis is helpful?
Could it be helpful for this case? I have prices of rice for differente years, from 2007 to 2013.  Can  SAP Predictive Analysis help me forecast what will be the price of rice for 2014, 2015 and so on?
Which algorithm should I use? Does it come integrated in the tool or is it an add-on?
I´ll appreciate it very much if you could send me the right steps to achieve this.

    Hi Erika,
    SAP PA has only Triple exponential smoothing algorithm; In most cases, single exponential smoothing would not make any sense [this is available through HANA PAL or R integration with SAP PA];
If you have R integration you should see something like this
    In Single exp smoothing only alpha is used;
in double exp smoothing alpha and gamma is used; and all three in gamma.
Why these alpha, beta and gamma... has a big derivation to understand; [let me know if you need any document, I have compiled as on some reference]
What values alpha, beta and Gama should hold in Triple ... or what is the right value, .... actually there are no right value and wrong value for them.
... as for the steps to go in SAP PA, refer below:
Please let me know if you need any assistance ...
    Regards,
    Arvind E
