Triple slashes

I recently created a new site and when I uploaded thru Front
page, all the links were broken and in the link addresses on the
home page, triple slashes appeared in the address bar at the bottom
of the page. Now when I work on the files in Dreamweaver that
reside on my computer, I can't go back and fix the links. I tried
creating a new site and copying the files into it and recreating
the links but still no luck. There are # signs in addtition to the
triple slashes. Is there a fix for this?

Maxl parameterizing entire path using servername

I want to use environment (or local if environments not possible) to parameterize three paths for source files for Maxl imports and destination files for exports. Easy enough when the path is the essbase server ($Arborpath etc.) The problem arises when I want to use a path with a servername in a variable. For example:
import database sample.basic data from data_file "$Testpath\\Calcdat.txt" on error abort;
where Testpath = \\EssServerName\Dirname\SubDirname
at the moment TestPath = \\Forbin\MTGTools\Maxl BUT I've tried many permutations of slashes, double slashes, (even tried triple slashes on the servername which works in some circumstances), quotes etc. along with "' (double quotes surrounding single quotes)
I've gotten variations of this to work fine right up to the point of using the servername with the variable.
The expanded statement looks perfect in the console black screen but of course that's not reliable.

Images won't display - mapping problem?

My images are stored outside of wwwroot, and they do not
display when I browse pages on my production server (it's a virtual
private server on hostmysite.com) Everything works fine on my
development server, which appears to be set up identically.
My site's pages are in C:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot.
My images are in C:\ColdFusion8\extMySales\topSiteImages. In
order to access these images, I created a virtual mapping in the
jrun-web.xml file (which is in C:\ColdFusion8\wwwroot\WEB-INF). I
have 3 other virtual mappings defined in jrun-web.xml (for example,
all my cfc's are in C:\ColdFusion8\extMySales\cfcs) and they all
seem to work fine. Here is the mapping for the images folder:

A couple of ideas... First, I would try hitting the image
directly from your browser, i.e.
www.thedomain.com/extTopSiteImages/logoBig.gif and see what
happens. If you get a 404 not found error, then something is screwy
with the mappings.
You may consider referencing the image directly through the
file system rather than counting on the mapping to resolve the URL.
Something like: <img
src="file:///C:/PathToFile/extTopSiteImages/logoBig.gif" />
Note the triple slash. We've used this in some places to show
images outside of the web root, as well as any time we use an image
in a cfdocument tag.

Hello all,
yes, there are several posts about this error message, but they are all pretty old (<2009) and the solutions didn't seem to work, so I'm starting a new thread.
I installed 2013sp1 last week and removed 8.5, 2010 and 2012 this morning. And now one of my projects won't compile. Other projects aren't impacted (I tested about 10 in two different workspaces).
When I compile, I get a popup box with "a custom control callback raised an exception" and it comes back as soon as I click it. I have to kill CVI. It's a project that compiled cleanly with CVI2012 (no warnings). I can open and save the UIR files with CVI2013, no problem. I also deleted the cws file, no change.
I generated a debug log (cleaned up a bit):

Indeed, I disabled the HTML generation and it compiled fine. I also tried XML and it works, although I don't know what to do with the resulting XML file.
Here's a code sample showing how I use the triple slash comments, but this is not an example that crashes. I'm trying to pin it down but it's a big interdependant project, so I can't remove pieces easily:

Glance at this year’s SXSW schedule and “Slashathon” might sound like an all-night 80s horror flick screening. In reality, the title is fairly literal: rock guitarist Slash is hosting an artist-focused hackathon on Wednesday with the hopes of drawing in crowds at the perfect mid-point between SXSW’s Interactive and Music sessions.
“It was an idea that came up when we were brainstorming the launch of our new record,” Slash, also uncommonly known as Saul Hudson, tells The Next Web in a phone interview. “I’m sure there are a lot of people out there who don’t have a platform to talk about new tech ideas for music, so we hope that the event helps inspire software developers to create something unique in the spur of the moment.”
Despite having been involved in several apps and video games, Slash says he’s not a particularly techie person, and is mostly interested in music recording apps that aid artists on the go. “I travel a lot, so tuner apps or things that enhance sound recordings are what I’m most interested in.”
A fan of Spotify and Pandora, the guitarist says music streaming apps are great for artists to both discover new music and share with fans, and he hopes to see more apps devoted to helping artists gain exposure.
“This is what people do now: they go to their computers and smartphones and find new music, shows, and artists,” Slash says. “Spotify and Pandora have definitely helped soften the blow on musical piracy… making records is a huge business now, and these apps help artists feel like they’re not doing it for nothing.”
While he doesn’t intend for the Slashathon to necessarily “solve” problems — as most startups tend to focus on — he would like to see music discovery become more catered to recording artists, not just consumers.
“I’d like to see the trend continue on apps that help artists get the word out about their new records and local shows,” he says.
It’s not surprising that a musician like Slash is keen on discovering new music. Thanks to Guitar Hero’s repopularization of “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” it’s hard to escape a dive bar or TV commercial without the familiar rock rhythms, even for Slash himself.
But of course, he’s grateful for the multi-generational love that’s passed along, decades after the song emerged.
“I was definitely more sick of it when we first wrote, recorded, and played it,” Slash says. “But over the years… it’s one of those things where you have to appreciate that a lot of people still like it.”

Error while deleting a triple

Previously to this error I ran the sem_apis.remove_duplicates() on our model. After that completed, nothing was being changed in the model, I noticed that the triggers on the application table were 'disabled'. I altered the triggers and enabled the INS, DEL, DML triggers.
Any help would be appriciated.

I have been experiencing slowness with our queries that we previously were not experiencing. Therefore I have been trying different index combinations to find which indexes the optimizer wants to use and which is the fastest.
The most recent that I added was SCGM and it appears to be used over the SCM index, and is much faster as well. The default 'STRICT_DEFAULT=T' option is being used in our SEM_MATCH queries as well.

Clean Leopard Install - Can't get Photos back in Right (tripling, etc)

Hi. I did a clean Leopard install then loaded my iLife '06. I have my "iPhoto Library" on my external. This contains folders 'originals', 'modified', 'data', and other accoutremonts. In iPhoto, I selected "Import" and thought things were going well till I saw 1) triple copies of each photo 2) no import of my tags for each photo, albums, folders, etc. I see 2000, 2001, 2002, etc. but no 'Canada Vacation', etc.
So, knowing I still had them on my external, I deleted over 10,000 photos from iPhoto to start anew. Then I figured the triples were coming from 'originals', 'modified', 'data' so I tried just importing "originals". This put only 1 copy of the photo in iPhoto, but it's a jumbled mess with no tags, sections, etc.
I checked the help section but am still not 'getting it'. Could someone point me in the right direction or explain what I should do here to get my iPhoto back to where it was pristine/organized? I'm befuddled.

I fixed my problem by accident. I merely dragged my "iPhoto Library" from my external to "pictures" in my home directory.

Mixing Ram Sizes in Triple-Channel

I would like to install 10 GB of RAM in the following configuration on my 2009 Mac Pro (flashed to 5,1):
Slot 1: 4GB
Slot 2: 4GB
Slot 3: 2GB
All 3 dimms are Apple OEM Hynix brand. All are 1333MHz.
Will this arrangement take advantage of the triple-channel capability? I'd test myself, but don't yet have all the RAM in my hands.

Triple channel means that the processor can read and write 3 DIMMs at the same time. So if you don't populate in sets of 3, you lose one third of the bandwidth for each missing DIMM. Doing that makes no sense. It also while possible to measure, makes little difference. Having a bit more than you think is enough, enough for the system and apps to cache what would otherwise require a trip to and disk access though does.
Which is also why the very low latency, near zero seeks, 90,000 I/O's per second - and 1000MB/sec read/write (blade type PCIe-SSD) help a system so much more even after there is "enough" memory today.
As to what amount and what apps, and $budget$ to determine what upgrades - and upgrades once you get an idea what can be done is rather hard to resist as you can make a huge difference sometimes for $100 here and there.

Utility to generate the triple des (3DES) encrypted password in wl 6.1?

To take advantage of the encrypted passwords in config.xml, as of wl 6.1, is
there a weblogic utiltiy or api tha could be used to encrypt plaintext into
the triple-des symmetric key PRIOR to having an SA or DBA type it into the
console? This would help me greatly in the deployment and security of
passwords.

IPod touch is tripling my messages from mail. Doesn't happen all the time. Upon checking my mail, all incoming messages will show up at least 3 times.

iPod Touch is showing my mail messages tripled. Incoming messages show up three times instead of as only one message.

I've tried reindexing dozens of times. It never makes a difference. I have another issue today.
I just went through a smart "unread" mailbox of 200 messages. I individually selected all but 4 emails and deleted them all. After they were deleted, I went to my regular inbox to find an old mesage and all the 196 emails I had just deleted were still in there.

Problems Setting up triple Display

Hi Folks, after some help
Recently tried setting up a triple display set up on Mac pro with ATI Radeon HD 5770 from the single display previously used.
I have 2 new Samsung B1930 monitors connected through Mini Display Port to VGA apple connectors in the 2 Slots and my old Samsung B2430 connected up through the DVI.
What i hoped to achieve is
Left B1930 extended desktop
Middle: B2430 Main screen with Dock etc
Right B1930 Extended Screen
What i have is the left B1930 as the main screen (inc Dock) and the Middle B2430 and righ B1930 as the extension. Is it only possible to extend one way? or is there a way to extend left and right.

Index.html pages in local sub-directories will not load automatically when sub-directory name entered into address field, followed by a forward-slash

I am in the process of designing a website-on-a-CD. In order to make things easier for my clients, I decided to organize this site into local sub-directories with an index.html page in each one. However, when I try to enter the local sub-directory name, followed by a forward-slash, the index page does not open automatically. Instead, I get a raw directory listing that includes the index.html file, and anything else that is present within it. I would like to know if there is any way to force this page to load automatically within Firefox from a local storage medium as it would load from a web-server.

You need to use file:// as the protocol instead of C:/. The latter may never work (C:\ might).
Where is the main HTML located ?
Easiest if to store the images in a sub folder of the location because you can't go back via ../ beyond that root location for security reasons.

My hard drive crashed. Replaced my hard drive. Installed Yosemite. Restored from Time Machine most recent backup before hard drive crash. Now laptop won't start up. Grey screen with circle and slash through it.

After you installed Yosemite and prior to restoring from the backup, were you able to start the Mac?

I downloaded the newest version and there is a Circle with a slash through it over the firefox icon. When I click on it the message is the system does not support this version. How do I reinstall the previous version?

I updated firefox. When I did there was a circle with a slash (as in No!) across the firefox icon. I clicked on it to open the browser and the error message reads: the application firefox cannot be launched - 10661
How do I go to the previous version that worked just fine?

Please try to uninstall>reinstall Viber, make sure you have the latest version available (2.3)
Viber requires all Push Notification settings to be enabled. Otherwise, it will show the error message requesting to do so. In addition, another possible cause for this problem might be the fact that your iPhone is jailbroken/hacktivated, and that interferes with Push Notifications in your iPhone.
