Trouble viewing purchased videos in videos app

Hi there!
I am suddenly having a problem viewing all my purchased videos (saved on the cloud) in the videos app. Regardless of whether the "show all videos" option is on or off in settings, I am only being shown the videos I have currently downloaded to my ipad. Never had this problem before and I still view everything normally on my iPhone. Hoping someone might be able to help!
Cheers, A.

Try basic troubleshooting steps. Close the videos app and reboot the iPad.
Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the Videos app and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

  • Can't view purchased Videos whilst on Cellular

I recently had to master reset my iPhone 5, since then I am unable to view my purchased content (not downloaded, stream only) in the Video app whilst using Cellular/Mobile data 3G/4G. Although when I connect via Wi-Fi my content appears. It will say - No Content You can download videos from the iTunes store. - My Music is fine and shows on both Cellular/Wifi. I have the 'show all videos' option switched on. Seems I may be missing an option but can't seem to locate. Any ideas?

I don't believe you can set to use cellular data for video streaming in the Video App. If you go to Settings>Cellular>Use Cellular Data for, the video app is not listed there.

  • Problem viewing video, something about an ad blocker. I had no trouble viewing streaming video until I downloaded firefox 4

I do not have any trouble watching streaming video on the Netflix website, but all other streaming video such as on a tv network or on IMDB.com comes back unavailable or blocked by an ad blocker. The only change to my computer I have done is upgrade my Mazilla Firefox browser. Something downloaded with it maybe that is blocking streaming transmissions. I need to know how to disable or bypass the problem.

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.

The missing apps could have been done by setting the Restrictions that can hid those apps. If the backup was made with those retrictions set the the Restrictions are also restored.
Thus, if you get it to work restore to factory settings/new iPod, not from backup

  • Trouble viewing online videos (streaming issue?)

Hello. I'm having trouble watching online videos. Video podcasts downloaded in iTunes are fine, but if for instance I want to watch a TV show online or a video clip from a news website, the picture is choppy and the sound breaks up. It's as if it isn't streaming properly (if that is the correct term). I have an original Macbook (2006), OSX10.4.11, 2 GHz Intel, 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM if that helps anyone. My husband has the same computer, purchased at the same time, only his was the model with more memory (not sure how much at the moment). His works fine, though.
Also, not sure if this is related, but my computer has a tendency to spin (or make the noise as if it is spinning) randomly - sometimes for long periods of time.
Please any advice on how to solve this issue would be greatly appreciated.

I am moving this question to another area. I see I posted it under Optical Drive

  • Trouble viewing Internet video - slow and stuttering

I have trouble viewing video from the Internet.  The video stops frequently.  Help

You using wifi, 3G?  Either way, not uncommon.  You need a strong signal from both.  If it is lagging it is due to poor strength, or latency issues relating to the signal.

  • Trouble viewing online video with Pismo

I am having trouble viewing video online. But not all video. For instance, I can view clips on YouTube without a problem, but clips that play on CNN.com or NBC.com (i.e.) stutter and do not flow smoothly.
Does anyone else have this problem? Is there a solution?

If you have not installed Flip4Mac, a free upgrade to support .wmv formats, you should do so.
That is a well know problem. It is caused by the processor-intensive decoding required by some video formats.
The solution is to upgrade your PowerBook to a newer old Mac with a G4 or better that includes faster and more advanced numeric processing.
If your videos appear in a player with controls, waiting for the download to complete before allowing the movie to play improves the situation. In QuickTime Player, you can "step" through ALL the frames as fast as possible (but with no sound) by using the right-arrow key. This will show you what you missed when it jumped frames to keep up.

  • Having trouble opening my videos app. Just black screen. Help pls!

For a while now, I've been unable to open my videos app. I've tried shutting down and turning it on again but then same thing. What can I do to make it work?

Try searching for the name of one of your videos on the iPad's spotlight search screen - swipe your first homescreen to the right, type in it's name, and if it finds it tap on it to see if it plays.
If that doesn't work then try closing the Videos app completely : from the home screen (i.e. not with the Videos app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Videos app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
A third option if the two above don't work is a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Viewing purchased video

I have had my iPhone a week, and love it, but have probably done some dumb stuff already, and could use some advice. I purchased a tv series (Dexter) on iTunes, and what a mess I have gotten myself into. I have two questions. 1- the series is too big to get onto my iphone, not enough memory I don't think. Can I delete what I have already watched? 2- my computer has like the smallest memory available in a real computer, and I can't store it there. So can I burn a dvd of video that I have purchased on iTunes to store it? I guess I really goofed, and have learned what I guess is an expensive lesson, but I can't store it on y computer, and can't get it all on my phone. So how do I go about getting rid of it, from my phone and my computer (if it is in fact stored there). I have downloaded 5 episodes to my phone, but there are about 8 more. Thanks for any advise. shannon

Yes, you can delete it from the phone. In iTunes, under the phone tabs, display the shows on the phone, right click and select delete.
You can burn a data DVD backup of any iTunes content.
You cannot burn a watchable DVD.

  • Trouble viewing training videos

I have just installed my dreamweaver disc and when I go to look at training videos they will not play.  I have rececieve a msg which states my computer is not connected to the internet, however I can look at internet sites elsewise.  Is there a setting in dreamweaver that I need to change?

Why do you need Dreamweaver to watch videos?  The easiest way is to go to this link and watch anything you want:
    <http://tv.adobe.com/>
It reminds me of "Inspiration Browser" that was supposed to work with PSE10 and 11 but never did so now it is abandoned completely.

  • Trouble viewing MySpace videos ...

I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem ... I have been trying to play some of those music videos on MySpace Videos, but when I click on one, it opens up a new window and says "Detecting Bandwidth." I click on the "Click Here" link and it takes me directly to the Windows Media Player website. The funny thing is, I have Windows Media Player installed so I don't know what the problem is.
Does someone have a solution? Any help will be appreciated
MacBook Pro   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I figured it out...you will need to open quicktime.
    -go to quicktime preferences.
    -go to the browser menu
    -on the advanced settings
    -click on MIME settings
-the Miscellaneous file settings needs to be unchecked.
    restart your computer.

  • Trouble viewing streaming video with Quicktime

This is a problem I have no encountered before, and I am hoping someone has an idea, because I'm fresh out.
A user has to take a class that involves her logging into a webiste with her own unique ID, and watching a video before it will allow her to take a test. It is a quicktime streaming video. When she attempts to watch the video, all she gets is a large quicktime symbol with a bar going back and forth under it, as though it were loading, but it never loads. Here comes the odd part. We had another user log into the website ont the same computer and she was able to watch the video just fine. We then had the original user try to watch on a different computer, and she was still not able to watch, though another user was able to watch the video with their own login on that computer as well. We believe it is a problem with her account on that website, but I am just curious if quicktime has any quirks that might cause this? Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

I cannot imagine that the problem is due to QuickTime or any other fault on the computer. If it were, it's highly likely that all users logging in from that same computer would have the same problem, and the problem would not be moving with that user to other computers.
I think it's almost certainly something amiss with your user's account on your server.
    Regards.

  • Unable to view purchased history in Mac App Store

I am unable to view my purchased history in the mac app store.
I just purchased a new macbook air and went to the app store in the hopes of downloading the apps I purchased onto this new this new device. I am unable to view them on this device although I have been able to view them on my macbook pro.
Is there a way to restore the list of apps onto this new device?
I have gone to the individual apps and re-bought them. Once I try to buy I get a message informing me that I have already purchased this app in the past and it starts to download. But it still does not appear in the purchased list once the download is complete.
Moreover, I have purchased adobe elements 9 and I am unable to re-buy it since adobe has released elements 10.
    Please help.

    Launch iTunes on the MBAir.
From the menu bar click Store > Authorize This Computer
Now back to the menu bar again click Store > Sign Out
Now follow the instructions here >  Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Make sure you are using the same Apple ID and password that you used on the MBPro.

    Hi Connorhalstead02,
I apologize, I'm a bit unclear on the exact nature of the issue you are describing. If you are having issues seeing your purchase history on the iTunes Store (including the App Store), you may find the following articles helpful:

    hiya!
I realize a lot of users are getting the message "itunes has encountered a problem and needs to close" but this is only happening when I try to preview a video. itunes and quicktime seem to work fine in all other aspects.
lordy. that's a kinky time to be getting that error message.
just doublechecking something. do you have any video files in your library at the moment? if so, could you check to see if you get this when you play a video?
if you don't have any files in the library, and you've got itunes 6.0.2.23 or higher, let's try seeing if the sample file linked to in this document will convert and play properly:

    keep us posted.
